Customers appreciate the X3 5.7K 360 Degree Action Camera for its excellent video quality, user-friendly interface, and ability to capture immersive 360-degree footage. They find the editing software intuitive and enjoy the wide range of compatible accessories. However, some users have concerns about the short battery life, the delicacy of the lenses, and the camera's performance in low-light conditions.

The X3's high-resolution photos, responsive controls, smooth app connection, and excellent stabilization have drastically shortened my post-capture processing times and provided me with useable digital assets straight from the camera. Every detail is captured by the camera's 18-megapixel sensor and 5.7K resolution. The 360-degree capabilities of the Insta360 X3 give my projects a new angle. The Insta360 app's built-in editing and control tools allow me to create visually spectacular digital assets. Exposure, color, and effects may all be tweaked with this app. Compared to videos shot without FlowState stabilization, stabilized ones look much more professional. Due to the Insta360 X3's small size and lightweight, I can easily carry it around and use it whenever I need to. Usually, I keep it in my front pocket. It's easy to use because of its simplistic design and controls. The versatility of the camera is enhanced by its compatibility with a variety of mounts and attachments. I can attach it to my rover (Remote Control car with mount) drone or invisible stick and tripod. Planning and packing extra batteries hasn't changed the experience, you may need them for longer shoots. Depending on how I shoot that day, I can plug in a portable battery pack, which gives me longer uninterrupted shooting time. The Insta360 X3 has been an indispensable tool for recording and distributing my 360 photos and videos. As a side note- I also have a Ricoh Theta Z1, but my Insta360's are my go-to cameras.

This camera has to be the best 360° camera on the market. At least until GoPro release the Max2. Editing your footage using the insta360 app is very simple and easy! Using this camera is fun and allows you guys to tell a story using this camera in a pretty fun way. If you haven't (I am sure you have) checked out the hundreds of YouTube videos on this camera get to it. You can make videos while leaving this camera on a tripod and with the insta360 app you can have the footage follow you as you do whatever. I mean I can go on and on but this review would be super long. I have made a few videos using this camera if you want to check it out my YouTube channel name is 'Jonasegway'. If you are thinking about getting this camera but have any questions, you could send me a message on YouTube and I'll get back to you almost immediately and if your question warrants a detailed answer in a video format, I got you! There are a good amount of accessories I would recommend if you have an extra $50-$250 laying around for splurging depending on what you are looking to do with this camera. Any questions? Find me on YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat. Jonasegway is my name on all platforms! P.S please understand although these cameras are super fun and facilities the ease of use for making fun content, their lenses must be protected/and or cared for delicately. If you get even a small scratch, your footage will show it and it WILL be sorta ruined. There are lens covers that I would recommend using when you can. These lenses are replaceable but only if you do it yourself. Insta360 offers a service to replace your lens but the cost is almost ¾th the price you will pay purchasing this camera so please please please handle this camera with care but don't forget to have fun. I would say keep your lens covers on at all times until you are ready to begin recording!

What a great concept. What I love: *The 360 view is amazing. Being able to pan around the image and see in front, in back, to the side. essentially, you were capturing so much and just one shot *It’s a super cool gadget I love that you can edit in the app as well as preview the images you’ve captured there’s lots of creativity as well as a bit of a learning curve. * Camera is relatively small and compact. Although a bit heavy (Considering it’s small size) Things I don’t love… *Seems like you have to buy a lot of accessories. Definitely need to buy extra batteries, different selfie sticks, depending on images you need to capture. * because of the 360 view, it’s hard to get a close image of say the sea life I was hoping to capture. * Images can be distorted because of the 360 view But the worst part…. * This is a waterproof camera… but beware: my camera leaked!! My images are lost on my SD card!! Even though I was very careful to make sure the battery door was definitely closed - it still leaked! This camera needs some serious improvement. I would suggest getting the Invisable Dive Case (extra $100!) Which I did purchase and it worked pretty good (still some distortion on the images) But at least it didn’t leak! The second vacation, I did not have the case handy and thought it would be OK (which it’s supposed to be) to just use underwater snorkeling. Unfortunately, it leaked!

This camera is simply fantastic, the image quality and the backup of Insta360 make the workflow simple and with infinite possibilities to create new creative concepts, add a cage to my camera to easily adapt some accessories and give it a little additional protection without affecting the image and the sewing of the 360 photos.

I got this for a family trip and it really help capture the "Moments" and help you remember being at those locations being captured. It was on sale but I wish I would have got the newer version, The battery last longer on the X4 and the recording quality is also better. But you'll have to pay a bit more for it.

This camera is an awesome alternative to a gopro for motorcyles. The app is real easy to use and has a bunch of features to use. Downside of the app is that the camera has to stay on the whole time while in the app and can really drain your phone and camera battery.

Outstanding camera. Bought specifically for a YouTube video to do the "tiny planet" effect. Very versatile camera too. A lot of utility and easy to figure out the software on both the phone and computer. Whether it's for action shots or something more experimental this camera delivers.

I love my Insta360 X3! I upgraded from a GoPro Hero 6 black which was a great camera, but I have so many more options and creativity with the Insta360 X3 which is only limited to my imagination. I will however say that it's worth getting the extended warranty to cover drops, accidents, etc. The camera has the bulging lenses which can easily get chipped or scratched. I had to send mine in (Insta360 Repair Service made it a breeze and were very helpful) due to a shot I was trying to get while diving. The camera was tossed in alongside me with the Insta invisible stick still attached and came down too hard on the bottom and scratched the lens and banged the top a little. It was still functional, but a big scratch will affect the video/picture quality. Don't know how much the damage will cost, but I've learned my lesson to get the warranty before leaving the store.

Great concept, with a couple of flaws. Although it has 5k resolution, when filing in 360 degree mode, once you edit, the image will be 1080, as the 5k is spread out over the 360 degrees. Can’t emphasize enough the importance of cleaning the lenses before EACH use! YouTube will help with setup, filming ideas and editing tips. Does best in well lit environments. Have not tried underwater yet. Be VERY careful to not scratch/break the lenses!

Video quality is amazing and the 360 view is wild. I love that I never miss a shot while out on my bicycle or motorcycle. Only downfall to these cameras is that lens.. I bought one and within 3 days I scratched the lens so bad it ruined every video. This is my second one and I put lens protection on but man does it ever take away from the quality with the glare and the crappy glass quality these guards are made of. Oh and they fog up and they scratch even easier. But still all in all the product and the editing software make this one of the best 360’s on the market.

I did not purchase the X3 to go viral and get rich. Rather, having a device that can record memories in 6K and in a 360 degrees world that is NOT my phone. Even though i own a Samsung s24 Ultra with 8k capabilities and 200mp camera, it is a relief and with great relief to finally have a device other than a phone for taking pictures and videos. Not only is the X3 easy to use, it also comes with ability to professionally edit right on the camera itself. Really brings the fun back to recording, creating and posting your life. Did i say it is easy!? For the price, this is best $400 can buy.

    Insta360 vs GoPro MAX

I bought this and the GoPro max to compare to each other. I took them both canyoneering and the Insta360 out performed the max while in the canyon. It was easier to use and I felt like I could protect it easily by slipping the soft case over it while it wasn't in use. However, the real decider was when I was editing the footage. The Insta360 app was quick and easy to use unlike the Quik app. I ended up returning the GoPro Max. 4 stars because about 13 days in it started having issues freezing when I tried to take pictures in star trail mode. Thankfully I was within the return window and Best Buy exchanged it for a new one. Crossing my fingers that it was just a fluke.
