The installation went smooth, everything works as advertised. However, before purchasing the installation service you should check to see what other extra parts you will need.

The cost of the additional mount and installation was more than the total price of the unit and brought the price up to about $300. I had the unit installed and it worked great twice and I had to go back and have it worked on. The setting was on the tachometer and needed to be set on voltage for my vehicle. This was a little annoying but it was taken care of as soon as I brought the car back. With this being said, now it works perfect. The range is not as long as I would like but it does work from a few hundred feet. Overall, even with a few problems at first I love this product and use it often. This remote start has a very small one button remote that goes easily on a keychain and is not bulky.

Works great even at a distance. I appreciate the feature that tells me if the car has started. I wish I could turn off the beeping though. The lights are enough for me. M

I bought the Viper remote start online, as well as installation that cost extra. After the install, I hadn't even drove away yet. I noticed my instrument lights were not working. Te installer drove it back in and began checking everything over. After another 45 minutes, he said he didn't know what the problem was. He told me to take it to a dealership to have it checked! He said the install was good, since the remote starter worked! (Even though the lights, as well as instruments didnt.) I called and spoke with store manager. He told me to take it to dealership, and IF the problem was due to the install, I could request reimbursement. I am not finished with this. The dealership said they cut a power wire, and that this remote wouldn't work like the installer tried to do. We'll see what happens, but I want reimbursed for dealership charges, and refunded for my money paid to BestBuy, AFTER the unit is fully remoced!!! I am lovid...

Had viper remote start install at the geek squad in Woodbridge nj , guys were great and professional . Really know their job . I don't have much trust someone else touching my car , but I would trust these guys anytime . Didn't break any tabs on my panels , no, damaged to any of my other electonic components and no mess of wires. Very clean !

Ended up paying for an installation that was advertised as free. I get there and the geek is like "oh, it needs some extra parts." Nevermind the fact that I paid for fast shipping that came 2 days late, so late that I missed the scheduled install. To top it off even though I spoke with an agent who promised me that if it came late they would refund me the shipping cost and install it the next day, the geek, to my disgust, only had 1 program to run, and it was "I got customers scheduled for tomorrow already, I can't make them wait just because the shipping department blooped, that's their problem, not mine, take it up with them, I'm booked for almost a whole week." When I finally got it installed they didn't set the run time in the way that I requested. Over all it functions wonderfully. I'm taking it back to extend the run time in a couple days. I suggest you use this review as an exhibit and ask questions to make sure you get treated with more consideration than with the shrugs that I got. With this stipulation in high regard only would I recommend this install (because I have a crack in my window that wasn't there before in the exact location that they placed what I understand to be the transponder, but maybe it's just coincidence) but then again, hey, it's your call.

Quickly installed and very reasonable pricing. Remote starter still working great! I'd recomend this to anyone looking to not have to start ur car manually in the cold

Highly recommend Matt (Waterford CT) who installed my remote starter. He installed it fast. He made sure that I knew had to use it before I left the store. He said it would take up to 3 hours to install it took him under a hour. He is great!

Best Buy did a great job with my remote start installation. The technician ran into some problems during the install but resolved everything in the end.

I make an appointment and go there to have it installed...go in front doors and was sent 2 different places only to be told to take my car around to the side of the building...I go to side of building for installation and the door is locked...no one is in garage and there is no buzzer or alarm to push...I pounded on the door with my cane and still no answer...stood there for a few looking thru the windows and nobody was in site...I went to car and called best buy only to get disconnected after holding for a few minutes...I call back again and I have 2 people on the phone ahead of me so I had to hold a few more minutes...finally get thru to a human and she sends geek squad tech back...he arrives in a few minutes...he was very friendly and my problem wasn't really with him...It was what I had to go thru to get this remote start installed....Why was I not told in the first place where to go on the phone when I made the appointment? Why is there not a door buzzer on the side door of the geek squad garage? Why is the door even locked in the first place during business hours? Heck as far as that goes why isn't there a big sign out front directing you to the geek squad garage? Why didn't the geek squad just offer to go out and get my car and take it around to the garage? I had actually intended to go in and shop for a washer while I was waiting.....Instead I got frustrated and left without ever shopping! I use a cane and have health issues that make it a chore to even get out of the bed at times, let alone go thru all of this!....This setup is just ridiculous and some changes need to be made in this area...So it all boils down to I liked the employees service I just didn't like the set up of Best Buy on this purchase.....I was very frustrated and it will make me seriously think twice about purchasing anything like this from Best Buy again....It's time for a change and there is a need for the easy button on this one! This is referring to the Viper remote start installed on the jeep...

I got the basic remote start installed on my brand new 2014 Kia about 10 days ago and so far it has been great! The price was right and the tech was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. It was about a 2 hour wait. I do wish they had a better waiting area. Just a couple of hard chairs in a hallway!

I didn't even know Best Buy offered this type of service. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained the process and usage instructions in a very effective manner.

Professional installation by Techs. Was impressed by their knowledge of the equipment and care for my vehicle. They had the work done in the times promised and went over the operation in detail. I was satisfied on all aspects of this job and would recommend them to others looking to have a remote installed.

x mas present for my wife. she works downtown detroit at postoffice [nights] remote was ordered on line. it took 5 trips to get job done.after all add ons for install, i could of had car dealer do it for less [350.00 ]with door lock fuction and 2 key remotes. first cold night it did not start. or any time it got cold no start . return to store they said nothing was wrong. possable car battery. batt. was 1 year old load tested 10.2 volts at 1 degree below zero [8.2 min spec] return to store.they said could be hood switch [ had to pay extra for this add on at install also paid for reprogram of flashlogic at install .[they already come programed for your car if you have the proper one.] range is less than half of stated on box . and why wont they give you the hand book that came with unit . maybe door lock should work after install like the book says. [mine dont] also took dell lap top to same store for repair. was told had to buy new one. got it repaired for 150.00 down the street .

So far happy with my remote starter for my F150. The technician was very polite and knowledgeable. A little different starting process than my Ford Escape but will be fine. Unfortunately only 1 starting fob with package.

Installation was great; awesome associate who made sure I understood how to use the device. 5 stars!
