Great processor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought is processor and put it on a z490 gaming edge WiFi by MSI. It works great. I get a temp of 32-36 Celsius idling at about 5 MHz. I also ran a Cinebench test and didn’t go over 72 Celsius. I am using the MSI Coreliquid 360R AIO for cooling. I think if you are going to heavily use this processor or over clock it needs a 240 or 360 water cooler. I would not recommend air cooling. I have seen complaints of cooling issues, but I have had no issues keeping mine cool.

Blue Banshee
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute screamer. This is an enthusiast class chip, it runs hot, fast, and needs someone who knows how to handle, and appreciate it. Water cooling recommended if planning on overclocking. This will be paired with a 3090 RTX I was able to get through a Best Buy drop for one of the most powerful work/play systems possible today.

I think it just became sentient.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. I've never had a flagship processor before and I'm glad this was my first. What a powerhouse of a CPU! I have it pushed to 5.3ghz in gaming and it hasn't slowed down a bit. I can't believe how smooth everything is! Battlefields IV and V, Cyberpunk, Control, Crysis 2 (I haven't gotten past the C's) all play beautifully. It's idling at 31 degrees, gets pretty hot when it really gets going (76 is the max I've gotten it, during Cyberpunk as it were). It seems more stable overclocked! My Asus motherboard is handling it perfectly. I couldn't be happier. I'm glad I didn't wait for Gen 11! There's no way it could be better than this. I got it on sale and it is worth every penny.

Simply The Best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to snag one of these when they came back into stock and it is the best gaming CPU on the market today bar none. I am overclocking this to 5.3GHz all cores with amazing results. Do not let the "intel runs to hot" stuff scare you away. On stock clock speed my idle temps are 28C on a Corsair H150i XT Pro AIO w/ a custom fan curve set. And AVG about 45C-50C while gaming. When overclocked to 5.3GHz i get idle temps of 34C and 60C-62C while gaming. Running this CPU on a higher end motherboard (MSI MEG Z490 ACE). If you plan to overclock, you will want a higher end board with better VRAM such as the MEG Z490 ACE. It's has a premium price but it delivers premium performance!

Best processor in the market for gaming and work.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best processor in the market for gaming and performs great for normal work tasks. Had a fun time Overclocking it and got some pretty nice results. It does produce a lot of heat so I went with the Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler — White plus an 2 additional intake 120mm fans and 1 120mm exhaust fan for a total of 6 fans plus the Liquid CPU cooler. The processor is the fastest processor stock in the market for gaming and that's not even with Overclocking. Love Intel and Ryzen just wasn't for me.

Powerhouse processor, works great with some coolin
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this in my new gaming PC, and it's worked great. I've been pushing it pretty hard, and this processor has yet to be the bottleneck in the system. Always has enough juice for what I'm doing. Will run pretty warm if using Intel stock fan (which i don't believe is included anyway) but it's pretty manageable. I've got an aftermarket air cooler (bequiet dark rock pro 4) and decent case cooling (nothing crazy though) and haven't thermal throttled once. Liquid cool if you'd like, but i haven't found it necessary. All in all, plenty happy

Great chip!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really pleased with my purchase, definitely won the chip lottery. Got mine up to 5.5 on all 10 cores and stable. Puts out too much heat for aio at those speeds for my liking but at 5.3 it’s at a very happy temp. Glad to know I could get more speed with some cooling upgrades.

Intel is still king
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Intel is #1 for a reason. The 10900k has amazing performance and hands various programs and applications, like a beast. Please be warned that it will run very hot compared to other cpu's so significant cooling will be required.

great processor, always on team intel
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this and was cooled with the corsair h150i cappelix also sold by best buy. Yes you do need a triple rad to get cool temps on the i9-10900k on full load and keeping it in a 49 degrees load. So yeah its a great processor.

Great cpu
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best but is had the best price for this cpu and it can handle most things with ease unless youre running an intense benchmark that will cause it to be around 70degrees C with a 240mm AIO cooler

Absolute PowerHouse!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great CPU, a better buy than a 11900K. Quality product from Intel but can run a bit hot. Great performer as stock or overclocked.

Fast
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is capable of things i7 cannot do in Blender for example. Six times faster cpu render on the BMW benchmark. Might be getting hot, but so far so good.

Not Best Buy's fault, Intel making bad CPU's
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the i9-10900k as a Christmas gift and was very happily surprised. However, after about a week playing games with it, (Cyberpunk 2077, WOW, COD, Borderlands 3, GTA 5, TROY, The Division 1 and 2 to name a few), the temps started to rise slowly. I didn't see a need to overclock the CPU so I kept it at stock speeds, (4900 MHz). Two weeks in and I changed my Noctua NH-D15 with Noctua NT-H1 to my Corsair H100i V2 with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and the temps were still climbing. The i9-10900k started to reach temps of 100 C and started to crash to blue screen. I reached out to Best Buy and they replaced that CPU with another one. The one I have now is reaching temps of 79 C at stock speeds so I will keep an eye on the temps and hope it doesn't turn out to be a dud like the first one. What are the chances of getting 2 duds back to back. I know this is not Best Buy fault at all, Intel are just making very bad CPU's. Best Buy took great care of me and help resolve the issue by sending me a replacement. Thank you Best Buy.

Top 15% bin, 5.1 all core with 5.3 boost
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a top 15% bin 10900k. Couldn’t be happier. This thing is hard to keep cool though, so be sure to get a good AIO or custom loop.
