Received SW and box appear to have been opened and taped back with Scott tape. Decided to go ahead and install it but could not activate it using the activation code on the package. Returning package.

i've never taken the time to figure out all the recommended maintenance for my computer. System Mechanic makes it easy, and improves computer speed. I'm happy with the product - ginvnig it 4, not 5, just because I have nothing to compare it to. This is my 3rd upgrade for this software. I keep buying it based on reviews.

I was told by a sales rep that this was a great product with no reoccurring costs. There is an annual fee which I was upset thinking there wasn't. Now, the product. I had some issues upgrading to a newer version that was on the CD. VIA their support, I had to download a 3rd party software to uninstall it. It does a lot of things you believe would be helpful to your computer and for the most part it seems faster but I am having a few issues. Some of the start-up programs you can disable gave me issues with Microsoft Office Starter not functioning anymore. After trying to reactivate the programs, I am still having an issue at time when an Office product starts, it thinks I am new or the program needs repaired. Every week or so it tells me the registry is 9% fragmented. That is really hard to believe since I am not installing any software but the registry is a strange thing! The other things is sleep mode. This thing works quite a bit and wakes the PC up. I guess that is a good thing since I don't want it scanning while I am working. Just odd to see my monitor on at times when it is not supposed to be. I will probably renew but I will have to wait and see.

My old lap top was really going down hill over the years with the blue death screen and not booting up along with freezing up and sluggish. I tried everything in the computer for maintenance etc and it was just not working to fix any of the problems. I was really getting concerned because more and more it would not turn on with out many hard shut downs so I was going to get a new lap top but I thought let's just look and see if there is anything I could try for a fraction of a new lap top and I found this product and I used it, I spent a lot of time using all the tools in the software and sure enough I noticed a big difference. The machine was about 90% better which was a relief because it was usable now, it's been so good for the most part now that I don't have to buy a new lap top just yet unless I just want to but not need to.

easy to install and got right to work removing old files and broken links in the registry. Quickly scanned and cleared garbage files. Initial price is reasonable. Not sure what they'll charge for yearly fee though.

One of my laptops was running slow as molasses even though it had an SSD drive it took forever to load, slow to launch and slow to respond I've used System Mechanic before on Windows 95 and it worked great so I took a chance and bought this hoping to clean-up the laptop. It loaded okay but a problem arose when I tried to activate it. The program said I needed an internet connection to activate yet I had a connection. I went to their web site and chatted with support. He gave me a site to update the program and run the app. Still it kept saying I didn't have internet connection. I let tech support control my system to see what was wrong and after the program analyzed my system he clicked to fix the findings and activated the program. It's a bit unnerving when someone was remotely controlling my laptop. Afterwards he tried to upsell me on services which I told him I would think it over. After I let the program do it's job the laptop is now faster without lagging. There were lots of issues to fix and this program repaired them all. I tried another clean up program and it didn't work. My last effort would've reinstalled all the programs which would've been a pain in the neck especially when I don't have all the serial numbers readily.

I have dropped my old Dell laptop a couple of times, so it gets a crashed blue screen. that means there's a problem with the hardware. Since I installed the Systems Mechanic, it only happens once in a while. At least it's giving me time to search for a new laptop.

This program is good for fixing cluttered programs. However it may conflict with some antivirus software.

Was running Norton Utilities but was an older version and I am running Windows 10. Researched reviews and found that System Mechanic was rated better. Was on sale so I gave it a try. Installed easily and worked fine finding issues. Long term it has had no detrimental effects on my system. No major issues found that would have killed my system, but that is good!!

I bought this when our wifi was hacked during which time my laptop was connected to the wifi. It was completely bogged down. I ran the disk called mechanic premium that took all the bugs out. Saved me from taking it to Geek Squad which I would have done because they do excellent work. So I saved money and I can use the program repeatedly to keep my laptop performing at its peak

This was exactly what I need to remove trash from my Registry and clear ancient log and debug files. I would recommend running several times over several days if you are trying to clean up years worth of garbage. I had to run updates on allot of programs to get the machine healthy and I was also deleting unused software in the process and not all of it went away cleanly. This software cleaned up the remaining bits and pieces nicely.

I have been using this product for about 1 month and the results are amazing! No lags, registry repaired and my computer has gotten faster. Try it, I have and I'm glad I did!

So far its working as advertised. Fairly quiet in the backround but needing an annual fee after the first year might be a problem for some. I have three units to protect so having them all protected for the same price is a big plus

very good at cleaning up junk files and registry, also optimizes start up files and internet .have been using Mechanic for several years and am Very satisfied with how it maintains all three of my computers. Only drawback is this version does Not allow you to have Privacy Garden and currently ByePass not compatible with Micro soft Edge. need System Mechanic Pro to have these options..

I'm not too knowledgeable with computers but this program after downloading it is easy to just click on the job I want it to do. Also the email tips are very helpful.

Mechanic pro really sped my computer up and cleaned all the junk off my hard drive

Once i downloaded to my pc it promptly tells you what to do. Its easy & it does work. My pc is running great now

I used System Mechanic about ten years ago and it worked great. Was going to buy a newer version a few years ago, but read some negative reviews by CNET and Tom's Hardware, I believe. My newest computer was affected by a Trojan virus recently and it wouldn't let me download any antivirus software other than Avast free version but it wouldn't let me scan my pc. Mozilla Firefox wasn't working at all, and IE was barely working so I was looking for a antivirus that came with a disk. I saw a copy of System Mechanic on the shelf at Best Buy and tried it again after many years. The way the claims on the box were worded it sounded kind of flaky, but I ran it on my pc anyway and it found the Trojan and eliminated it. It also found some other viruses and eliminated those as well. I didn't run anything else on the disk, but I would definitely recommend this to a friend. I also went back to a full paid version of a popular antivirus that protects all of my devices.

I bought this product for my laptop and had a computer desktop that I had used in a long time because it wasn't working properly installed in both sped up my laptop and my desktop started working again that hasn't worked for years great product would recommend it definitely

This was a better than average item, i had no problems installing or setting up the automation start and due its job.
