Awesome power couple, mop could be better.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Vacuum works great!! The mop was super hard to get to learn my house. My house is 1400 sq, not hard to move around. I had to teach that stupid thing, took me days of frustration. I must say overall after it did learn, my house is kept spotless, the pair is fantastic. The mop still gives me issues with bumper getting stuck.

Name a more iconic duo, I'll wait.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just picked up the iRobot Roomba i3+ and the Braava jet m6 Robot Mop and I am so impressed with these machines. I cannot believe how smart they are when they are navigating the floors of my home. I love to watch the robots learn the legs of the chairs and couch, it's incredible how they will maneuver around them. For the vacuum, I love that it will clean up and when it is full it will return home to offload the dirt right into the tower, then continue vacuuming. The offloading of dirt is kind of loud, but only lasts a few seconds. It’s better than having to empty out the actual robot a bunch of times. The wet mop is so cool! It's small and cute, but it does a beast of a job mopping the floors. It is like an automatic Swiffer that mops the floor by itself while you watch tv, work, or even when you go to sleep. These robots arrived just in time for when we moved into our new house. The house has all wood floors on the first floor and these robots are perfect for it. I have read some of the reviews that stated the robot mop leaves streaks, I can possibly see that if you have a certain type of tile or flooring. As for our floor, it is Pergo laminate flooring, and this robot leaves the floors completely streak-free. For the mop bot, it will not leave its station without its cleaner tank being full, so remember to fill it up with cleaner before you want to use it that day. One of the best features of these robots is the app. The app is what makes this product really shine! You can operate your robots when not even home, so you can have a nice clean house when you return. You can set schedules to tell your robots when to clean and you can even tell them where to clean in your home. The first thing I did after setting up the robots was send them off on a mapping run. For the vacuum on its mapping run, it does not clean, it just learns the lay of the land. The mop bot will clean as it learns. After the mapping run is complete, the app will let you divide up the floorplan into zones. You can pick which zone you want to be vacuumed or mopped or you can just tell it to clean everywhere. I enjoy the app as it is very easy to use and switching between robots is simple. There isn’t really anything negative to say about these iRobot vacuums, I just love them so far! The only thing I can see getting annoying is having to buy new vacuum bags for the tower. I think iRobot should come up with a reusable one. But the bag in the tower has lasted a couple of weeks so far, so I can see this not being such an issue. Other than that, I am so happy to get these cleaning machines, they do a great job, they are easy to use and learn, it’s a set-it-and-forget-it type of home automation equipment and they are fun to watch. I am very pleased with this bundle, and I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t like vacuuming and would rather have their very own robot do it for them. They also just look super awesome! Very modern and sleek, they will fit in just about anywhere in anyone’s home. FANTASTIC JOB iRobot!

Both great on large area tile
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needs great wifi for the mapping to work. They both work great, the offloading of the vacuum is loud but you can pause it so you can do it on your own time when kids are not sleeping. I have tile and the mop works great. The refile tank is easy to use.

Prime Time or Curiosity?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.iRobot Roomba i3+ (3550) Robot Vacuum and Braava jet m6 (6113) Robot Mop bundle I have been intrigued with the idea of a Roomba Vacuum literally for decades but my spouse was less than convinced that it was worth having underfoot. This year I came up with a use case she could agree to, we recently acquired a small summer log cabin with pine wood floors that apparently were designed to attract dust and dirt, even while we weren't there! I told her I could set it up to work while we were gone... and thus got my Roomba in the door. Long story short, now she wants another one for home. Pros: - Does a surprisingly good job on a variety of surfaces. - Easy to set up - Easy to use App, great for scheduling. Cons: - Requires the floor to be 'clutter free' of objects its not meant to clean, but could push around (power strips). - There are some areas it just can not reach, it needs about a foot to get between things. Okay, the long story. The cabin is a mixture of short rugs, wood floors with crevices, and even brick around the fireplace. A maze of chairs, tables, beds, baskets on the floor, you name it. So a real test of its design. Set up was.. easy? Well packaged. No construction. Great (more on that later) App. Easy to charge. So why the question mark? There was exactly one step I had a problem with, and that was connecting it to the internet first thing. To me the instructions were vague, did not seem to reference my exact model number, and so it took me several instances of pushing the button I thought they were telling me to (the on button), and instead ignoring the instructions and pushing both it and the home button. Voila. Connected. And haven't looked back. The rest was easy with the App. I admit the Roomba and I had to get to know each other a bit to get the job done well. The Roomba is surprisingly strong and its sensors not that light of a touch, it will continue to push on things long past when I think it should have 'sensed' them and stopped. And so the first couple of times I would come back and see that it had bullied some poor power cord across the floor, even unplugging a lamp. Or really, pushing anything around that weighed less than a couple of pounds. It's mildly amusing, but means I had to adapt a bit and pick things up. Which added to the place looking better, but still. Do as your mom says, pick up after yourself. The floor itself, I had thought was relatively clean before Roomba, but after Roomba? Gleaned. And I could see the dust where it absolutely could not reach (between the legs of a small table, see the pic), so it was really making a huge difference. And it was quite adept at finding paths under the table (I can't be the only one to drop crumbs), under chairs, under the bed, it was cleaning places that probably had not been cleaned in years, and one could really see the difference. One thing that surprised me, I never once had to 'rescue' it. I never got stuck. Hence why we are buying another for home. More comments. Loved the App in terms of seeing the areas it cleaned, scheduling when it should work and being able to change its schedule remotely (200 miles away!) as my schedule changed. This insured I always came home to a nice clean cabin. Well, at least the floors. Most of my comments were on the Roomba i3+ (3550) Robot Vacuum, but I found the same applied to the Braava jet m6 (6113) Robot Mop. By definition, using water, it took a bit more in setup etc, but again the end result was a shining floor. In this case, I used it in the basement with a painted concrete floor and it worked flawlessly. I am giving it a score of 5 because it exceeded my expectations, but people that want it to be able to able to get into really tight spots, might score it a 4. Btw, we named our Roomba 'Paulo' and it's now a member of the family. And unlike the real Paulo, it is a tireless worker.

Wow Better Than I Thought
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is both my first robot vacuum and my first robot mop and I must say that I am extremely surprised by what iRobot has done with both of these products. For both devices, we have the respective power cords, their bases and the usual paperwork ( quickstart guide + warranty etc.). For the Roomba i3+ Robot Vacuum ( i3 from now on) also have 2 dirt disposal bags and 1 extra filter, while for the Braava jet m6 Robot Mop ( m6 from now on) we have the cleaning starter kit which has, 2 wet mopping pads, 2 dry sweeping pads, 1 hard floor cleaner solution (2oz), 1 hardwood floor cleaner solution (2oz) and one Microfiber Deep cleaning pod. Roomba i3 Let's talk about the i3 first. Setting this up was a breeze. The quickstart guide was clear and concise and within 5 mins the i3 was ready to go once you completed the setup within the iRobot app. The first thing I sent it to do was a mapping run, which allows the i3 to learn the rooms of your house so that it has a ‘map’ of all the rooms in your house. This was the first area that I was truly surprised, once it finished the run, you are presented with a map of rooms, which I found to be very accurate. In addition, you are given the option to edit the room borders it created on its run so that you can either delete, add or resize to your desire as well as name each room. This is great because you can schedule the i3 to vacuum specific rooms/ groups of rooms. When it comes to cleaning the i3 does a better job than I would have thought, keep in mind this my first robot vacuum so my expectations might be lower than someone who has used one before. The i3 cleans in a very systematic pattern rather than randomly. It mainly makes parallel paths on its runs going back and forth covering the entire space. I think this is an organized way to do the cleaning rather than completely random, which is something I greatly appreciate. While cleaning not only is it quiet but it has been able to take up most it not all of the dust, hair, and particles I see on my room floors (no carpets/rugs). I even tested it with bread, biscuits and cookie crumbs and it did very well picking them up and even some stuff that was lightly stuck on the floor. An extremely great feature it has is self-emptying. Once the unit has finished its run it will return to home base and you will hear a powerful vacuum sound( almost like a jet taking off) for like 5 to 10 seconds in which the contents of the i3 dust container is sucked up and emptied into the disposal bag inside the charging unit. It does a great job transferring its content and I only wish that these disposal bags were transparent so that we could easily see what's inside, (you might be surprised that it picks up something you wouldn't expect, such as a small earring, etc.) Finally, the battery life seems somewhere between 1 to 2 hours of continuous cleaning, but interestingly if it is running low on juice it will return to its base, charge up and then continue where it left off. I also like that once it has finished a run it notifies you on the app while also showing you the path it took/ the area it covered( in sq ft) and where it picked up a majority of dust and dirt. Braava jet m6 Like the i3 this was incredibly easy to set up and using the quickstart guide gets you done in less than 5 mins. It also works with the same app making it easy for you to control them both from one place. Unfortunately, it doesn’t share the same map that was created when the i3 went on its mapping run so you can either send it on its own mapping run or it will learn and construct the map while it does it cleaning runs. I like the fact that it can identify which pad type has been placed on it and from the app is ready to go with the type of cleaning associated with the pad, i.e dry sweeping pad vs wet mopping pad. So far I’ve only tried the hard surface cleaning solution and it not only smells great but did a great job cleaning my floors leaving them looking fresh. Its cleaning pattern is also similar to that of the i3 with the m6 doing parallel lines as well with the addition of spraying some solution ahead of itself before running over the path and cleaning that area. Unfortunately in some cases, it did leave streaks across the floor and sometimes it didn’t, seems to happen closer to when the solution tank was almost empty but I will need to experiment a few more times to make a conclusion. Together both units look great and I like the dark color option I have selected. They have a textured top and somewhat industrial design and I find them both quite attractive. They are relatively light and easy to move around so you should have no problem repositioning them. Another great feature they both have is that you can connect them to Alexa through the iRobot Home skill with ease. Once you’ve named each unit, you can simply tell Alexa to send them to a specific room or to the entire map, its up to you. I also like that you can set up one unit to run right after the other has finished. So you can send the i3 to vacuum first and then let the m6 mop right after, which is fantastic. Also I must point out that each unit has a clean and a home button, so you can press them at any time and they will begin to clean the area they are currently in or head back to home base. Overall, the cleaning combo of these two units makes a great definite improvement in your cleaning routine. Not only will they free up time since you can automate the entire process, they also do a very good job of getting dust, dirt, and hair while also leaving your floors looking great. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing Robot Vacuum and Robot Mop!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have upgraded our floors from carpet to engineered hardwood recently. We were looking for Robot vacuum with Robot mop combo and got iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO (3550) Wi-Fi Connected Self Emptying Robot Vacuum - Neutral and Braava jet m6 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Mop. This is our first Robot vacuum and Robot mop. Setup is relatively easy. I have downloaded the iRobot app from iOS store and connected with Roomba in few mins. I charged Roomba fully before the first use. From the app, I have used Smart Map option and Roomba took almost 1 hour (with 2 charges) to map out the entire floor with living room, kitchen, hallway, dining room and one guest bedroom. Please note that only one map can be stored at a time. If a house has two floors and only one floor smart map can be stored. After creating smart map, I have started the Roomba with vacuum everywhere option and it took almost 1 hour to complete the cleaning and returned to the base to empty the bin as well as for charging. With Smart map, there are option to label the floor with names like Kitchen, Living Room, Dinning etc. and it will allow the vacuum only those rooms if needed. There is option to add favorite rooms and with one click Roomba will start cleaning the floor immediately. I was impressed with Roomba I3+ and it has better suction and navigate with specific direction instead of going to random places. It is very quiet during operation and very loud while emptying the bin. It charges very fast on the dock and schedule can be created in the app to perform cleaning regularly. We had rug in living room and Roomba cleaned those areas without any issues. The Roomba i3+ EVO robot vacuum takes care of stubborn dirt and messes with a Premium 3-Stage Cleaning System and 10x the Power-Lifting Suction. The enclosed bag that captures 99% of particles as small as .7 microns and holds up to 60 days of cleanings. The Integrated sensors tell the robot where it can and can’t fit, so it doesn’t get stuck under furniture. Roomba can be integrated with Google Assistant and Alexa. The Braava jet® m6 robot mop is excellent combo with Roomba I3+ to clean hardwood, tile & stone with wet and dry options. It came with 2 Single Use Dry Sweeping Pad, 2 Single Use Wet Mopping Pad, 4oz Cleaning Solution Sample Bottle, Braava jet m6 Robot Mop, Charging Dock, Dock Tray, and North American Line Cord. We have used M6 robot mop with bona and it cleaned the floor perfectly. With Imprint® Link Technology, the Braava jet® m6 robot mop & I3+ robot vacuum team up to vacuum then mop automatically in perfect sequence, giving the floors a comprehensive clean. The robot intelligently knows which mode to use based on pad type. Plus, iRobot new pad technology developed for the m6 uses electrostatic force to sweep & wicking fibers to mop. The iRobot companion app is very easy to use, provides the history, allows to schedule cleanings, see a map of the cleaned space, assists with routine maintenance (ordering pads and reporting on issues) and can play a sound to locate m6 or I3+ Roomba if it gets lost. We were impressed with iRobot Roomba I3+ and Braava Jet M6 Robot mop results and floors are cleaner than ever and highly recommend this combo for hardwood, tile, and stone floors.

Awesome duo cleaners!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having an automated robo vac does make cleaning the house more convenient, but having a little sidekick wet mop vac makes it extra clean. First I'll cover the big brother robo vac. Out of the box you get the base, the trash bin stand, a power cable, the robo vac (obviously), and an extra trash bin bag as well as a filter. The moment you open the box, you see a card that shows you the steps to getting everything set up. To maximize the use of the robo vac, you will need to download the app. Once you connect the robo vac to your wifi, the app is good to go. You can create schedules, see how much battery life it has, the history, and other stats. The robo vac itself is surprisingly heavy. I opened the app, and clicked "vacuum everywhere." As part of the test run, i let it run for 20 minutes, and it went from the kitchen (where it's parked), to the dining room, and the hallway that connects the living room and the kitchen. After 20 minutes, I noticed that the kitchen floor was 99% clean. A few little pieces of debris but nothing to cry about. I pressed pause, and then send home. In one motion it found its way to the base. It's still fun to watch it navigate its way using what I'm guessing is the wi-fi and an internal gps. As for the wet mop vac, you get the base, the floor attachment, the power cable, two liquid cleaners, four single use pads, and one dry pad. The setup is exactly the same as it's bigger brother. There are a few more steps to take in getting it ready before its maiden run. You have to fill it up with the included liquid cleaner and water. Then you'll have to attach one of the included pad attachments. I chose to use one of the single use wet pads for the test. Once it was about 50% charged, I pressed clean everywhere and watched it work. After a few seconds it was moving forward a little, spray, then mop, then repeat. I watched it mop about 25% of the kitchen. I sent it home to see how it would navigate its way back, and it took a little longer because it reverses into the charging base. I have the two robot vacs on a schedule, and now cleaning the kitchen floor is a chore I can say goodbye to. Obviously the only caveat is that with the wet mop vac you will be buying more pads and soap. Considering I was mopping my floor with one of those green mops that use disposable wet pad attachments, I say it's a good trade off. All in all the iRobot and the Braava are a fearsome cleaning duo. I would definitely recommend this to a family that finds themselves cleaning the kitchen and dining room floors constantly, and everybody else as well.

Roomba works, Braava not as well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get the Braava Jet and Roomba vacuum combo to help keep our main floor clean. We have a number of cats and cat hair is a real problem and we normally have to vacuum at least once a day. Unpacking and setup for both the Braava and Roomba was fairly straight forward using the app on my android phone. Pairing with my network was also easy, and I started creating maps of the main level of our home. I started with the Roomba and set it up in the family room. It only took three attempts to learn the floorplan, about 1800 square feet on the main level, but each time it started it would get stuck under an end table. I moved the vacuum while it was docked to avoid that area, but it never could learn the move. It would clean if I sent it on a run to vacuum everywhere, but I couldn’t send it to a specific room to just vacuum a certain area. It would get lost and return within 5 minutes. I tried to create a new map manually using a map from a previous cleaning run, but the app wouldn’t allow it. I ended up having to delete the map and sending the Roomba out on another mapping run. It works better from the new location and it does an ok job sucking up dirt, but still has other issues around the house. If you have pets you will need to pick up their toys, food and water bowls, and search for any messes before you send it out for a cleaning run. Failure to do so will result in food bowls being pushed around the room, water spilled out on the floor, and wet hairballs or other messes being dragged around the house since this model doesn’t identify these things and try to avoid them. It would be nice to have the ability to edit a map to show areas that are off limits, like where you put food and water bowls, but there is no such feature in the app. The base station is handy and it keeps you from having to empty out the Roomba after each run. It is nice to have the ability to send the Roomba on a cleaning run while you are doing other tasks to help keep things clean around the house. Once I got the Roomba situated and the floor clean, I switched over to the Braava. I setup the base station in the living room. The dry and wet pads are easy to install and clean, but you will need to order some extra reusable pads. The disposable ones work well, but the utility and money savings from using the reusable ones are worth it. I was hoping to be able to use the same map as the Roomba, but it doesn’t use the same map for some reason. I sent the Braava on one mapping run after another and after 10 runs it still hadn’t learned the main level and it even kept getting stuck in a bathroom, laundry room or a pantry. After about 15 runs it finally put together a map, but it was not very accurate. I kept sending it to different rooms to try and get it to update the map and it did add some to the dining room, but after over 30 runs it still hasn’t created a good map of the main level. The only two rooms that are accurate are the living room and kitchen. Unlike the Roomba map, you have the ability to add thresholds, but they don’t seem to work. I added a threshold marker to the laundry room, but it still repeatedly entered the room and got stuck. The cleaner solution reservoir is also small and due to the size of our main level I need to refill it after each cleaning run. It would be nice to have a larger reservoir or a base station that had the ability to hold more cleaner solution and refill the Braava once it was empty. Another issue the Braava shares with the Roomba is that it will push pet food and water bowls around the floor, and can cause them to spill. One thing I noticed from both machines is the thumping on the floor as they cleaned against the grain of the wood planks. Similar to what one hears as a car goes over uneven concrete. It would be nice to be able to add a feature to the app to allow users to choose the direction the machines clean in so they can make their cleaning strips flow in the same direction of the planks of the wood floor. I like the idea of being able to vacuum and then mop, but the Braava Jet leaves a little more to be desired. The Roomba does a decent job, but this version isn’t the best choice for pet owners. I think some of the issues with the Braava’s mapping can be addressed with a firmware update and an app update could fix some shortfalls in both devices. I attached photos of the maps from the Braava and Roomba to my review to show the difficulties the Braava had with creating a good working map. Overall, I’m not too impressed with the Braava, but the Roomba has some utility. As it stands, I would give this combo 3 stars, but if a firmware update can fix the mapping problems my Braava Jet is having to get it to work as well as the Roomba then I would update my review to 4 stars. If anything changes in that regards I will either comment on my review or create an updated review.

Great robot tag team
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.## Setup There is a lot of packaging to go through, breakdown, and put into the recycling bin, but at least you know that everything is protected well. Once you have all the pieces out of the box, you’ll find a quick start card to help you set up the charging base and wake up your robot. You’ll then head to the iRobot app to finish setting up your robots and connect them to WiFi. You may need to let it charge for a while (and apply any needed updates), but after 30 minutes or so, your robot should be ready to clean. ## Performance ### Roomba i3+ If you’re upgrading from a previous Roomba (or other robotic vacuum) like I am, you may be surprised to find that the i3+ includes a “mapping” feature. You can either allow the vacuum to learn while it cleans, or you can send it on a specific mapping-only quest where it doesn’t clean but instead just ping-pongs around your house, keeping track of walls and other barriers. You can then see the map inside the app and section off the rooms and name them. You’ll probably see some hilarious shaped rooms in the app as the Roomba doesn’t know furniture from a wall, but you get a general idea of what the Roomba can “see” around your home. After you name the rooms, you can use the app to have Roomba clean only a certain room, which is handy if, for example, there is some dry cereal spilled in the kitchen and you don’t want the Roomba to clean the whole house just to get to the cereal. The Roomba i3+ seems to have some upgraded rollers and suction power as I notice it picking up more dirt than my previous Roomba. One of my favorite features in the self-emptying dust bin! When the Roomba returns to its base it (loudly) transfers the dirt from the robot into a bag inside of the base. So the Roomba can perform multiple cleaning jobs before the dust bin needs emptying. I rarely used Alexa with my previous Roomba because while I was bent over emptying the dust bin, it was just easier to hit the “Clean” button while I’m down there. However, now that this Roomba empties itself, I might use the Alexa integration more often! I rarely run the Roomba while I’m away from home as I like to be within earshot in case it gets tangled on a cord I forgot to pick up. However, I like that the app notifies you with a push notification if there is a problem. I also like that with the app, you can set the floors to automatically be mopped after you vacuum. It’s like the two robots are BFFs! ### Braava jet m6 Before cleaning, you’ll need to attach a cleaning pad to the bottom of the Roomba (either one of the included single-use pads, or the multi-use microfiber pad) and fill the inside tank with a mixture of the cleaning solution and water. This is my first mopping robot and it is quite interesting to watch it work. It will move forward in a straight line about 2 feet or so, and if there are no obstructions, it will back up, spray some liquid, and then drive the cleaning pad over it, going an extra foot or so while the cleaning pad is still wet. The Braava did a surprisingly good job maintaining the straight lines while it cleaned the floor and probably did a more thorough job mopping than I normally do. :-D It struggled more under the table and chairs, but in all fairness, I’m able to move the chairs completely out of the way to mop under the table so a human definitely has an advantage there. The Braava also does a good job of not overstaurating a certain area and uses the little bit it sprayed on the floor to cover a wide area. You can adjust this in the settings in the app to have the Braava use more or less liquid while cleaning. I set it about in the middle and was pleased with how well it cleaned. I can even walk in the area it cleaned after about 10 minutes without getting my socks overly wet. The Braava has a very low clearance and does not go onto carpeted areas or even the mats under the doors. This also prevents it from spraying cleaning solution down the furnace grate on the floor which I appreciate! I’m also happy I did not have to buy additional virtual barriers that I would have to move between vacuuming and mopping. When it is done, you can throw the multi-use pad into your washing machine or hand wash it so it is ready for the next cleaning mission. ## Summary This combo pack of the Roomba i3+ and Braava jet m6 is a great tag team system for keeping your floors clean! I appreciate the mapping features and the fact that you can set the robots to work in tandem with the Roomba vacuuming first, then automatically handing it off to the Braava to mop. The self-emptying dust bin is also an appreciated upgrade for keeping the Roomba ready to clean at any time.

If you have carpet, avoid this product.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really optimistic and excited to get this Roomba set. Unfortunately my excitement was brought to an end quickly! When it comes to the i3+ I have almost nothing good to say about it. I will say that set up was fairly simple. Theres no instructions that come with this product outside of the basic doc setup which was quite frustrating and left me asking... now what? Once it was set up and charged I sent it on a mapping quest. This started out ok, but then it missed the portion of my home that was to the right of its docking station (front door area, hall way and bedrooms.) There is no easy way to correct this; you have to have it re-map your house completely again deleting the former map. The second mapping it indeed mapped this portion of the house but not the other half it originally mapped. Thr onky overlap between the 2 maps was the livingroom where it is docked. It wasnt until the 4th mapping session that it was successful in mapping the whole home. I then ran the Roomba to vacuum my livingroom carpet. Let me tell you, on carpet, this vaccum is next to useless! I watched horrified as it rushed through the room and would drive over small debris (like dog hair, lint or dead grass the dogs tracked in) and picked up none of it. I have included pictures of some of what was left behind. The suction on this Roomba has to be nearly non-existant and there is no suction level ajustmentst on this like other brands have. The only positive is that it does doo the room in a back and forth pattern vs bouncing around aimlessly like my other robot vaccum. With that said, at one point it stopped its pattern and went to my kitchen out of the blue where it was not supposed to be, and then finally came back a few mins later. It went rougue. I ran my other robot vacuum of a different brand in the same livingroom area right after running th I3+ and the bin came back completely full (pictured) I was disgusted. I should note that the robot I used after was a cheeper model that bounces around the room aimlessly even. I then ran the I3+ in my great room and kitchen/dining room where i have hard floors. In these areas it did half way decent. It did keep missing a few areas so I had to run it again before allowing the M6 to mop. I will also note that it is too tall to get under cabinents. I noticed this model isa bit louder than other robots that I have used in the past. When the bin empties into the canister it spunds like a large jetplane takingnoff in my livingroom. If anyone was sleeping, they are not any longer. The canister also empties the bin into a bag. The replacement bags for the canister are fairly pricy costing around $18 for a three pack. Something to keep in mind. Also, if you have rugs in any room, it will not go over them it will either push them or go around them. Now for the Brava Jet M6. This is the only reason I gave this 2 stars or else I would have given it zero if I could. The m6 maps the house as it cleans unlike the I3+. It seemed to do a great job with mapping my hard floors and staying off mof my carpet. It took quite a while to mop those two areas but I feel it did a good job. I believe this is best for light maintenance mopping vs heavy mopping. It reminds me of an automated Swiffer WetJet. It has a little scrubby pad you put on the bottom and it sprays out in front of it and then goes back and forth a few times before progressing. The m6 also mops in a pattern. It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to mop the whole area (200sqft according to the app) and used about just under 3/4 of the tank. The one drawback I noticed is that again there is not much instructions outside of initial setup. No where does it tell you the soap to water ratio for filling the tank. It also leaves some wheel lines on the laminate floor that you can see of you are looking just right. All in all, I would not reccomend this product to anyone, especially for the high price tag.

Let the Robots Vacuum & Mop Your Floors With Vigor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect combination for maintaining a clean floor with basically zero effort! The iRobot Roomba i3+ empties itself into a clean bag in a deep storage bin. Unlike the earlier generation robots, no more digging in a small crevice to extract the dirt is required! The i3+ brilliantly returns to it's dock to recharge; a powerful cyclone fan emanates from the storage silo, and all of the dirt is extracted into the storage bin! If the robot runs out of battery power, or fills up the internal dirt storage, it navigates back to it's base, recharges, empties the dirt, then finishes the vacuuming right where it left off! I have owned 6 vacuum robots to date, but the i3+ impresses me more than any other. The attractive sweeping lines it leaves on the carpet are perfectly straight. Using the i3+, you get the feeling that this is a polished product, tested for generations & honed to perfection. It is a keeper! The Braava jet m6 is equally as impressive as the i3 Vacuum. Again, perfectly straight lines. I like the fact that it is built to use Bona floor cleaning liquid, considered the top-of-the-line. It sprays ahead of motion, just as a Bona mop, then moves back and forth using a genuine Bona mop pad. The results are magnificent! Clean, shiny floor. The pad is machine washable. The vacuum & the mop are stand alone; you can locate them on different floors, if you choose. Both create a detailed map of your floor, which enables you to select the target area to be cleaned by simply touching that portion of the map, or direct it to clean everywhere. CONCLUSION: I am highly impressed by this combination by iRobot & recommend it without hesitation.

Fantastic combo “pack!”
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: * Powerful. Both the vacuum and the mop have great power. They move through surfaces with ease and leave a track of cleanliness in their wake. * Smart. The mapping features of both products is fantastic! I love being able to schedule just a single room or all. Additionally, I love that you can have the lop follow up a vacuuming schedule automatically. * Capacity. The Roomba’s ability to empty its bin into the larger bin means I don’t have to empty a robot every single day. I have a corgi and it would have been a chore (well, it was until I replaced the older vacuums with this new one). * App. I think the app works well. I feel the tabs are a little wonky, but it allows you to do everything you need quite easily. * “Works With” works well. I use the Alexa integration. While it does have its usual hiccups like refusing to “start the toaster” when I asked her to “vacuum the living room,” the integration does work well. I have a Roomba on each of the carpeted floors, and I do wish it was easier to activate them rather than have Alexa enumerate them and force me to use numbers (even with distinct names). * Packaging. No wasteful packaging. Enough to protect your expensive vacuum and mop, and nothing more. CONS: * Capacity. The mops capacity is wanting. Why isn’t it larger? Like the pad, the reservoir, etc? Why does it squirt water each time it advances only an inch? * Alexa integration works, but could use some work by not requiring such a verbose command pattern. USE: I have two schedules. One vacuums all spaces every MWF and then mops. The second schedule only vacuums the carpeted areas. Love it.

Great combo setup that’s well integrated
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The iRobot Roomba i3+ and Braava Jet m6 combo pack is a great solution to home cleaning needs. You get both the i3+ (3550) and the Braava Jet m6 (6113) which form a dynamic duo that can both vacuum your floors and mop your hardwood. While neither of these represent iRobot’s high end, they both show how far this technology has come and how accessible it is. First of all, the items came together in a large box holding their individual packages. This combo is definitely two off the shelf products, but that’s not to say they aren’t integrated well. Unboxing them was easy enough, with a few spare bags for the i3+ base, and a filter. The Braava Jet came with some solution and several reusable smart pads. What’s surprising is that both products were ready to just lay down on their chargers and get started. There wasn’t any remove this tape, plug in this battery or anything, just simply unbox and place on the charger. Having owned multiple robot vacuums - this was by far the easiest setup I’ve ever encountered. After placing the i3 on its base, it will start up and be ready to pair. The Roomba app does a good job getting connected and I had no trouble with the initial setup. A firmware update later and it was basically ready to clean. There are just a couple buttons found on the vacuum - a home button (to return to base), a clean button, and a spot clean button. Most of your interactions take place in the app including its fancy room mapping feature. I let the vacuum fully charge, and then sent it on its mapping way. You can have the vacuum first run just an exploratory expedition to map out your floor. I did this, and 3h later it returned to its base with a pretty accurate mapping of my floorplan. The geometry didn’t seem quite right, but it does a great job on approximating rooms. The vacuum never got stuck (unlike my prior vacuum), and made appropriate transitions from floor types without issue. After the map is complete you can take the auto created room boundaries, or in my case, customize them as you see fit. Once the boundaries are set, you can name rooms and that can enable voice control of cleaning specific rooms (more on that later). I found using the app was straightforward and a simple experience. Perhaps my favorite feature of the i3+ is the automatic emptying base. It’s so freeing not to worry about emptying the bin every time it cleans. I love that this is becoming the new norm for robot vacuums. While the i3 isn’t the high end, it’s a competent vacuum and the base makes it super useful. Some of the cooler things about the app is being able to set a schedule or use different integrations for automatic cleaning. iRobot is a big user of IFTTT, and can use my location, my august smart locks, or myQ garage door opener to use as triggers for cleaning. I found having a regular schedule on weekdays was easier for me, but I appreciate the concept of automatic cleaning. Alexa integration is also on tap, and it’s quite nice to tell Alexa to “ask [robot name] to clean the Family Room” is a nice parlor trick. I love the follow up question when you have a mopping robot available: “would you like to mop after your vacuum is finished?” Which brings us to the Braava Jet. I was impressed with this little guy. Not only do you get wet mopping, but dry mopping as well. The wet mopping was quite effective and my floors felt clean. I’ve always been curious, but this little guy - mostly due to the lack of a vacuum, can go and go on mopping. It took 3:13 to finish my downstairs (535 sq/ft). Compared to the vacuum, which cleaned 622 sq/ft in 03:57 minutes (with 1h 20 minutes charging). Overall it’s a competent unit that helps bring a shine to your floors. This combo is a pretty good investment. I’ve owned robot vacuums for over a decade now, and never an iRobot product. This is my first iRobot setup and it’s obvious these guys are still the leaders. This combo is perfect for my relatively small downstairs, and is making me consider getting another one for my upstairs level (although I won’t need the mop, so just an i3+ Evo). Overall, this is a great combo and product set!

Not enough brains to go around with this combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Robot vacuums can be convenient. You can schedule when you want to have your room cleaned and even focus on different rooms on different days. Roomba has been making robot vacuums for years. They’ve begun making robot mops now, too. The mop and the vacuum work together. The mop can follow the map made by the vacuum so it doesn’t have to independently “walk” the area to know where to clean. The mop also is smart enough to know when it’s on carpet vs. bare floor. With this combo I found it very helpful for the vacuum to run first, then have the mop run on the bare floor areas afterwards. The vacuum does a decent job of picking up debris, but still leaves ground in dirt. The mop takes care of that, picking up dirt on your choice of a disposable pad or a washable one. The mop does not pick up the dirt, so it’s important to either sweep or vacuum before using the mop. If the floor is clear, the mop will clean it in 40-60 minutes per room. The challenge with this combo is the time it takes. The vacuum took almost 3 hours to clean the 600 sq ft of my main level. This included moving around kitchen and dining room chairs as well as some tables set up in the family room. During the 3 hours, the vacuum sat on the charger for ~ 1 hours, before finishing the job. By comparison, I can vacuum and mop with a Swiffer the same space in ~ 40 minutes. Another challenge I had was it’s ability to recognize where it was. I tried it at first on my upper level. It consistently got stuck at the top of the stairs. It turned out that I’d placed the base too close to the stairs and there wasn’t enough space for the vacuum to learn about its surroundings. After moving the base, it worked OK. I’ve had the Roomba J7 and Neato’s D6 in the same space without the same issues. Roomba does not put the biggest brain in this unit. The biggest challenge I had was with string backpacks. This are the kind you often get for free and have a drawstring which hangs off the side. The vacuum got tangled up with each string backpack it encountered. The string would wrap around the spinning brush and also get caught in the wheels. In one case, it found the string on a cat teaser toy we hadn’t picked up off the floor. That got wrapped so tight, the vacuum carried it along, occasionally slapping the furniture around the room with the stick part of the teaser. It’s apparent that the spinning brush has no torque sensor to make the vacuum aware that it may be stuck on something. Overall, I would not recommend this combo. There are compromises made to have the package still be affordable. If budget is an issue, I’d suggest spending the same money on a better vacuum vs. adding the mop. The added attraction of the mop doesn’t add enough vs what a better vacuum will add. Sometimes you just have to do the job yourself if you want it done right.

Power cleanup couple
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Roomba user for about 15 years now and was excited to try this new WiFi connected version. Package allows you to take care of vaccuuming and mopping the floors, however software integration between two robots could have been a little better. For example - the only way to mop after the vacuum is to let Brava (mopping robot) start after Roomba (vacuum) finishes, there is no way to have them go room-by-room right after each other. Both robots do reference their own map and don't share (or don't seem to share) your house map between each other as each robot has to learn the surroundings by itself. Individually robots are doing a pretty good job though! Roomba (the vacuum) - seems to have a few troubles with a real thick carpet I have in the dining room (see photos) even with the majority of chairs removed - it tends to stop at the edge of the carpet and declare a "cliff" emergency asking for help. After manually moving the robot - it does not seem to learn the lesson and goes for the "cliff" again and again. There does not seem to be a way to block off the area of a thick carpet in the app. It does take Roomba about 6 (!!!) hours to vacuum roughly 1000 sq ft of hardwood and carpet are of my first floor so it takes multiple "naps" at the charging station. Cleaning quality is pretty good though and there is almost no mess to deal with - just replace the paper waste bag at the charging station when it gets full. Roomba does seem to bump a lot into walls and furniture though, I would probably opt for a higher model of Roomba equipped with synthetic vision and object recognition (like charging cords or pet waste). Brava (the mopping robot) - machine has an on-board tank for the cleaning liquid (Bona is what is recommended) and a spray nozzle up front. It would spray the cleaner first and then wipe it out with a microfiber cleaning pad that is attached underneath the machine. It only has 2 wheels so 3rd point of contact is the mopping pad itself. While it's doing a great job on the hardwood floor - it is having a horrible time at the transitions between hardwood and tile (Kitchen area) and hardwood and tile just under the fireplace. While flooring surfaces are level - they do have a small transition which throws Brava sensors off. It either can't climb over a transition or is attempting it at 45 degree angle - goes about half way over but suddenly gets "scared" and reverses rapidly. That results in it unable to get back to it's charging station unfortunately and giving up on a job. I really hope it's just a software update fix as I really like the Brava. Overall - it's a great power couple - but I would probably upgrade to a higher model if your home "terrain" is not easy to navigate thru.

Best Robotic Brand On The Market
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The iRobot Roomba Robot Vacuum and Braava Jet Mop is a must have cleaning combo if you are in the market for a complete robotic cleaning system. As someone who has a Roomba i6, I was excited to get this combo which included the clean base automatic dirt disposal bin and jet mop. Rooba i3+ (3550) Vacuum Pros: * Smart Cleaning - This vacuum is very efficient in picking its path to clean and does a great job lifting dirt and pet hair from the floor. It also avoids furniture well and doesn't get stuck in corners or rooms. I have used several "other" robotic vacuums in the past and none of them come close to the quality of clean the Roomba provides. * Smart Maps - As the Roomba cleans, it creates a smart map for each room. These maps allow you to select specific rooms you want cleaned; however, there is a quick select function to clean everywhere. * Schedule System - I think the schedule system is great and easy to setup. Once scheduled the Roomba takes care of the vacuuming. The great thing about this combo is it comes with the clean base automatic dirt disposal bin so the vacuum will empty itself. That way it is always ready to go. * Focused cleaning - If the Roomba detects an area is "more dirty" compared to the surrounding areas it has been, it will spend extra time cleaning. This is displayed on the smart map as dark green dots. * Disposal Bin - I love the disposal bin. While emptying the Roomba's container after vacuuming is not difficult or time consuming, sometimes I forget. If the bin is full then it will not vacuum during its next scheduled time. The disposal bin takes care of this problem allowing for automatic emptying. Per the website, it can hold up to 60 days of cleanings per bag. * Software - It received automatic software updates/features from iRobot as improvements are implemented. iRobot Braava Jet m6 (6113) Pros: * Smart Cleaning - This mop does an amazing job on hardwood and tile floors. I have two large dogs who like to drool and splash water on the floor from their dog bowl. The Braava Jet mop has made a huge difference in reducing water marks on the floor. I am also amazed at its ability to navigate furniture and rugs and not get them wet while spraying. The mop pads last the entire cleaning session and are easy/inexpensive to replace. There are single use and washable options. * Long battery life - The mop is able to clean multiple large rooms with plenty of charge to spare. * Smart Maps / Schedule System / Software - Utilizes these just like the i3+ as discussed above. Overall, the iRobot Roomba i3+ and Braava Jet combo is a quality cleaning system. I highly recommend these products.

Love at First Try :)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We never thought we'd be interested in owning a Robot Roomba, but when our trusted Best Buy Store ran this fantastic deal for one, our daughter-in-law decided to update her Rumba, and she told us what a GREAT deal this was...and we are getting older...so we decided to buy one for ourselves. It's been three weeks now, and with our daughter-in-law's kind and thoughtful help, it is programed and running quite well. It is surprising how quickly you can learn to appreciate owning a Robot Rumba, and we acknowledge that it was a terrific sale price, and we appreciate what a good job it does throughout our hardwood home. Thank You! Best Buy for all you do, because you do it all so very well!
