Im one of those unfortunate few that had one of my pets decide to go on the rug, and my old Roomba did what it was supposed to do and made a HUGE mess. Needless to say, i upgraded. This ine has the “obstacle avoidance” camera and it works SOOOOO good. I have no worries that will ever happen to me again. Its also faster and quieter than my old roomba. I love this thing!

    How To Train Your Roomba

Finally, finally, finally. It’s a Roomba that actually checks to see what is in front of it before it runs it over. I think every Roomba I’ve owned while caring for two cats have succumbed to the inevitable random hairball attacks in the wee hours of the night. This has traumatized me enough to stop running the automated schedule feature; I always have to do a sanity check before I run any Roomba nowadays. The j7+ hopefully solves this problem. Having owned the i7+ for a few years now, it was easy to get to know the j7+. The “i” and “s” series of Roombas are smart enough to map your entire home’s floor plan so that you can decide what areas of home need cleaning, and the newest “j” series are no exception. Once your map has been created, you can take advantage of automated cleaning via schedules and the amount of passes for a particular room (maybe a high traffic area needs more than one pass). They all remain methodical in their cleaning paths, minimizing clean times and maximizing both square footage cleaned and battery life. That’s all there is to it. But let me tell you what the “j” offers that it’s siblings do not. The j Series offers something called PrecisionVision Navigation, but I like to call it Obstacle Avoidance. Using cameras and some sleek software engineering, the j7 can identify obstacles and ask you if you think it should avoid the obstacle or area. With the magical powers of the internet and image databases, the j7 has tons of examples to reference when determining if something is out of place. Only two things come to mind: cords and pet waste. Now, all this decision making happens from the iRobot app, so owning a Roomba like this is catered toward the tech-savvy. It has to be used in conjunction with the iRobot app (setting up WiFi, adding a Roomba product, etc). After each run, the app will give you statistics on it’s last run (sq cleaned, clean time, etc) as well as pictures of potential obstacles in its way during that run. You then have the ability to tell your own Roomba if it's (1) a temporary obstacle like a sock that never made it to the washing machine , (2) a permanent obstacle like a cluster of wires underneath a desk, or (3) not an obstacle at all. If you deem the observation either a temporary or permanent obstacle, you have the option of sharing your photo with Roomba to build their image database further to help other j7 and future models identify trouble. For me, that trouble is cat hairballs. Choosing permanent will mark the area on the map as a Do-Not-Clean area. So essentially, Roomba is saying that I should not be afraid to start using the scheduling feature once again. They are so confident in their product that they are giving me the Pet Owner’s Official Promise (POOP). If my j7 decides to run over the nasty hairballs that may manifest itself in the middle of the night, Roomba will replace it for free. The promise is only valid to the original owner for up to one year from the purchase date. And so I now run the j7 every night, waiting for the hairballs to manifest themselves. So far, no hairballs, and no stinky j7. Summer is ending, and the hairballs are waning. Still waiting. Let’s talk about the quirks with this machine. Allowing the j7 to learn your home’s floor plan can be a bit difficult, especially if you have small children or if you live a not-so-organized lifestyle. The j7 needs to run a few passes through your home to establish a map. These passes can be either a normal cleaning or a mapping run (no cleaning involved). If there is a slight change in the environment (like a chair is misplaced or toys are scattered), the j7 will think it’s a new floor plan and create a second map. Add another misplaced chair or clutter, and it might make a third! You’re going to have to be diligent for the first few runs, ensuring that it can establish a baseline for your home. This is key to getting all the other features of this unit to come alive. I was about ready to give up on this unit, but I realized that I may have made it difficult for the j7 to learn the floor plan. Another quirk that I’m kind of on the fence with is its flashlight. It now has a flashlight to illuminate its path and aid in picture taking. The thing is, at 1AM-2AM in the morning, it’s lighting up everything in a dark room. I don’t have blinds or window treatment on some windows, and it’s putting my goods on full display during the late hours of the night! One honorable mention is the very loud self-emptying bin. Up in our 2nd floor, we don’t hear it as loud when we’re asleep, but imagine it going off if you live in a studio or smaller apartment. Another honorable mention is the scratches and scrapes the Roomba inflicts on itself. After one run, it will look like it is 6 months old. Last quirk that still bothers me today is the “Vacuuming cancelled”, or Error 17. This does happen from time to time, and unfortunately the app doesn’t tell you exactly why Error 17 happened. What you will find is at least 9 different reasons why it may be happening and leaving it up to you to decide which one may be triggering it to happen. Yeah, no thanks. Lastly, for those considering any Roomba vacuum cleaner, please remember that these units need general maintenance too. This includes removing hair and dust that might collect in the front wheel as well as the spin rollers. There is a small high-efficiency particulate filter that needs to be replaced every few months to keep the Roomba running at 100% suction. Eventually the spin rollers will become dull and worn and you’ll have to replace those too. These accessories will also add to the total cost of ownership down the line.

Upgrading from the iRobot i3 (3150) to the iRobot j7 self-emptying (7550). To be direct, I love the i3 and it is an outstanding vacuum for the price point. But the j7 really is a game changer with the onboard camera and self-emptying base station and individual room set up!! First off the basics…Set up could not be easier, unless there was a person that came with it to remove it from the box. I mean you literally just pull it out of the box, plug in the base station, down load the app and set the vacuum on the charging station. Press the button on it to sync with the app and you’re done!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the simplicity. That is a theme I really love about this vacuum… set it up and forget about it. It simply does a fantastic job vacuuming then cleans itself and charges it-self along the way as needed. Amazing!!! Now, I do want to add that to really squeeze all the tech out of this you do need to get the app and take a few minutes to name rooms and place virtual borders to designate rooms. It took me about 20 minutes to get all that laid out and learn how to move the virtual barriers and name the map of your house and then name all the rooms. But it is so worth the investment of time. I guess you could just skip all that and just vacuum your whole house everytime but that takes a lot of time if you have a mid size house. I have done a full house vacuum a couple of times now. My house is about 2600 sq ft. and the vacuum say’s it’s about 2100 sq ft. That’s sounds about right with the garage and closets and a bathroom I closed off that our dog stays in during the day. It takes it about 8 hours to complete the job with the charging ect. What’s great about that though is I have not had to attend to it ONCE!!!! It does not get stuck, It does not need to be emptied, it just works and works and does a fantastic job at that!!! It is soooo smart…so is the i3 but the j7 has something the i3 can never have that really shines….VISION!!! It literally sees. One of the things that in hind sight was really kind of a pain in the butt with the i3 was that (depending on how big your house is) the vacuum would need to return to the base station to charge. That’s expected but then you also have to keep an eye on it to make sure to empty it. If you forget to empty and its charged it will just sit there and blink. It has spent hours for me to notice…hey …why is it not vacuuming….oh yeah it’s probably full. I didn’t really know looking back but now with the self-emptying feature of the j7, I can’t imagine not having the self-emptying feature. It’s the ying to the yang and having both the vacuuming and emptying really makes this unit a self-reliant and highly capable robot maid!!! I noticed it as it navigates throughout the house….it moves with more confidence , speed and easily navigates quickly through the house. Much better than the i3. It seems like the i3 used mapping like a blind person that uses a walking stick. Effective… It touches everything and learns how to move but the j7 doesn’t have to do that. Now the j7 still is somewhat tactile as it learns the house, but I watched it stop when it came up to a pair of shoes and go around it without banging into them. It also flawlessly navigated a laptop power cord and (ironically) a stick vacuum battery that I had charging on the ground. Truly remarkable. They say it can ID pet poop as well and prevent a poo smearing catastrophe!!! We should not have that problem as we keep out pet in the bathroom when we are at work but it’s nice to know it should not happen…what a nightmare. I really do like the fact that it can spot trouble like shoes, pet toys, table legs, power chords and some laundry in the floor. Very impressive. The i3 would have had to been rescued a few times with those obstacles. I also noticed how much quieter the j7 is from the i3. Not night and day different but the j7’s motor is either quieter or at a lower pitch than the i3 and that is easier on the ears. What is not easier on the ears and startled me just a bit is when that base station sucks out the dust from the actual vacuum…it sounded like a 747 taking off!!! Scared the dog a bit… but it needs to get the dirt, right? But it’s loud…no joke but effective. The app is amazing and after a few full runs through the house you can name the rooms and adjust the room dividers with the app and be specific with your clean up request…vacuum just the guest bedroom ect. You can also select zones and add stay away zones as well. This is a big deal. As I noted earlier it took about 8 hours to clean my whole house from start to finish (that includes charging times). Being able to tell it to clean the bedroom when I leave the house Or even better, I opened a box and it had small, tiny pieces of Styrofoam that was all over the kitchen. I told the Roomba to just vacuum the kitchen and boom…done! Imagine trying to be that specific with any other vacuum that does not have that kind of smarts???? Something to consider. I also like the small footprint of the base station and the unit. Doesn’t take up a ton of space and it looks sleek. This is what great tech looks and acts like. It’s smart, self sufficient and effective!!! Consider hiring a cleaning lady just to vacuum…100 bucks a month for a clean vacuumed house 2 times a month? This vacuum will pay for itself in no time. Vacuum every other day, or when you leave for work or on the weekends? It’s that smart. I love coming back to a dust bunny free wood floors and clean vacuum tracks on all the carpets!!! What an awesome product!!! Highly recommend. Wish I could give it 6 stars.

The iRobot j7+ builds upon a long history of innovation. Setting up the robot was very simple and took less than 5 mins before the robot undocked itself and started mapping the house. I have over 2300 sqft for the robot to clean. I decided to place it in the middle of the house to allow it enough room to clean half and recharge the. Go clean the other half. The mapping took 2 times to be really accurate and be able to speed along, the first time it will constantly bump into objects then adjust. Once it had the memory mapping down it went quickly and cleaned effective on my tile floors. It even went of the kitchen. And laundry room rug runners with ease. How’s the avoidance? It literally would stop before getting to the cords and make its way around! No more hazards having to worry about. The post robot cleaning phase was really nice as it emptied itself into the base station which was very nice and easy to collect and toss. In the end the j7+ model is a leap forward in the iRobot lineup! I can imagine not having one it just makes life that much better! Side note: The App is fluid and very helpful, it clearly shows you the house area map robot has made and informs you of robots actions!

I recently upgraded from a budget robot vacuum to the iRobot Roomba j7+ (7550) Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal - Graphite, and I am so glad I did! The Roomba j7+ is a night and day difference from my old vacuum. It is much more powerful, it cleans my floors much more thoroughly, and it is much more intelligent. One of the things I love most about the Roomba j7+ is its ability to avoid obstacles. My old vacuum would constantly get stuck on things like cords and furniture, but the Roomba j7+ has a camera and sensors that allow it to see and avoid obstacles. This means that I never have to worry about it getting stuck, and I can be sure that my floors are getting cleaned thoroughly. Another thing I love about the Roomba j7+ is its automatic dirt disposal. My old vacuum had a small dustbin that I had to empty every day or two. The Roomba j7+ has a much larger dustbin that can hold up to 60 days of dirt and debris. This means that I can go weeks without having to empty the dustbin, which is a huge time saver. Overall, I am very impressed with the iRobot Roomba j7+ (7550) Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal - Graphite. It is a powerful, intelligent, and convenient vacuum that has made my life much easier. If you are looking for a robot vacuum that will do a great job of cleaning your floors, I highly recommend the Roomba j7+. Here are some of the pros and cons of the iRobot Roomba j7+ (7550) Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal - Graphite: Pros: Powerful suction Thorough cleaning Intelligent obstacle avoidance Automatic dirt disposal Long battery life Easy to use Cons: Expensive Can be noisy May not be suitable for homes with pets Overall, I think the iRobot Roomba j7+ (7550) Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal - Graphite is a great robot vacuum. It's powerful, intelligent, and convenient. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a robot vacuum that will do a great job of cleaning their floors.

THE BREAKDOWN: The iRobot Roomba j7+ is the latest in the lineup of robot vacuums with self-emptying capabilities. While the self-emptying feature is not new it is certainly a feature that I would not do without. The overall design and shape are very similar to other robot vacuums on the market. This one is controlled by the iRobot companion app. The design is very sleek and stylish with the traditional rounded shape which measures 13.4” Length by 13.3 Width and 3.4” in height and weights around 7.49 lbs. There is a long-bristled brush on the side that helps sweep the debris into the middle. The middle roller is rubber and is around 6.75 inches long. On the top of the robot is a single button that has led lights. The led changes colors to let you know the status. You get a white spiral while charging, a red light is a problem or indication that the battery is low. The button can also be used to start, stop and abort cleaning. The docking station had a bin on the back that you lift to access the debris collection bag. This is also where the spare bag, filter and this is also where I stored my extra long-bristled brush head. The app is where most of the magic happens. This is where you name your robot vacuum, see all the settings, features and where you set schedules. Once you set up your map by running your vacuum a few times you can even section parts off and give them names. This allows you to only clean certain areas if you wish. This did an excellent job of cleaning. I have 2 dogs and the hair can get everywhere fast and with this I can just run the vacuum twice a day it and it keeps the dog hair in check. This does a great job of not sucking up my charging cables like my other robot vacuum will do. For obstacle avoidance this thing was a champ. PRO’s: - Very stylish looking - Good navigation and avoids obstacles - Voice assistance - Schedule cleanings - Self-emptying base CON’s: - Still have to clean my kids hair from the rollers - Can be loud on wood floors - The self-emptying base can be loud SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this that is portable and gets the job done.

J7+ is their newest Roomba model that was released in Aug 2021. I had it for 2 weeks and had an opportunity to compare its features and performance with two other brands (one has self-emptying base) that are in the same price range and with two older generation models of Roomba (960 and 780). This is a major upgrade compared to the older Roomba models I have. I had the older Roomba models for over 5 years and the only things I had to change on those are the batteries and the brushes and they still run a like a champ. The model comes with a self-emptying base, 2 dirt disposal bags for the self-emptying base, a set of side brushes, and an additional high efficiency filter. Set-up and App Functions Set-up was breeze, took about 5 minutes to have it connected to my Wi-Fi and set it up on a cleaning schedule using the iRobot app. It took 3 runs for it to confiture the home map. The app is user friendly and has ton of features and information related to its performance. You can allow this app to integrate with your smart home (Alexa, Google Assistant, etc.) app, if you choose to. The app provides you with several customizable options: 1) You can set rooms on your home map once its mapped and schedule cleaning plan for individual rooms. The cleaning history map also shows the location of obstacles identified during that cleaning session. 2) Customize schedule, locate your Roomba with a chime, look at the cleaning history, monitor Roomba health, job status during cleaning, etc. 3) Has a cleaning preferences menu that allows you to customize additional options - what you want your Roomba to do in events such as bin full, number of cleaning passes, extra clean, obstacle detection on/off, etc. 4) Also has an option if you want to participate in their Beta program to test new features. Performance 1) It's notable feature is the obstacle detection and avoidance which is not offered by any other brand that I am aware off. I tested the feature and works great. I have several power cords, charging cables on the floor and under my bed, etc. that often got stuck in the rollers or the vacuum stops cleaning when get stuck among cords with my older models and j7+ plus does an amazing job avoiding those. I also tossed few items in front of it while it was cleaning and it avoided those and went around to clean rest of the room. This is a must buy robot vacuum if you are concerned about pet hazards and it is programmed to avoid it! The company advertised that if the robot fails to avoid solid pet waste within a year of your purchased, the company will give you a new one for free! 2) It has a learning algorithm that constantly learns and configures for high traffic areas, seasonal dusty conditions, suction settings needed for different areas that has carpet, rugs, etc. It gets smarter over time. The previous generation ones bumped against every object and it gets annoying when it keeps doing that again and again. The j7+ did that a few times during the learning process and now it recognizes the room corners and objects, slows down and navigates without bumping. This is a big improvement over the previous generations. 3) It's less noisy on carpets compared to the older generation Roomba's that I have. 4) The dirt disposal bag is big enough to last 2-4 months - might vary based on your home area and environment. A 3 pack disposal bag costs about $19. 5) Has a good suction power. I inspected the dirt bags and saw some fine dust on the first run right after I vacuumed the entire place with a dyson vacuum. 6) It follows a vertical or horizontal cleaning pattern unlike the random paths the older generation took. This one has the camera on its front instead of the top, which offers a wider view and allows it to see objects on the floor. 7) The clean base automatic dirt disposal dock (allegers trap bag) is a nice addition to the j7 and you don't have to worry about emptying the Roomba after each use. This is helpful for people suffering from allergies like me and not have to worry about emptying the Roomba dust bins. Am guessing, for my use the disposal dirt bag should last at least 3 months. Overall, I recommend j7+ for pet owners and for people worried about cords and stuff lying on the floor. It comes at a higher price point, but is well worth for the new features it offers!

This is my third robot vac, and it’s the best for several reasons. I also got the companion Braava Jet M6 mopper, and they work together as a team. Most importantly, it cleans thoroughly. It’s a bit louder, especially on hard floors. I think this is due to the rubber fins rather than bristle bushes. This is a minor issue considering how well it cleans and that hair and threads don’t get wound and require tedious cleaning. Additionally, its obstacle avoidance, including charger cords, is top-notch and really works. I don’t have pets that poop inside, but it also claims to avoid that and the ensuing mess we’ve all heard about. Using a camera rather than radar to navigate, it even can send you a picture of new obstacles and ask if they are permanent or temporary. Lastly, it can work in tandem with the Braava Jet mopper by first vacuuming and then telling the mopper to start its cleaning chores. I have the self-emptying docking station, and although not unique to iRobot, I would no longer be without this option. Most robot vacs have small dust bins, so if you have a large area to clean, you have to empty them more than once. Some are smart enough to tell you, others just keep on the cleaning, and the suction and efficiency drops. Regardless, it’s always a bit of a messy project. This little guy returns to base and empties as needed to do its job. Another improvement with the j7 model is that the self-empty base is considerably shorter in height than any other I have seen. It's about as wide as the vac and can be tucked into spaces others won’t fit. Yep, it’s loud during the few seconds it takes, but I’ll gladly deal with that. Setup was a breeze. It connects to your phone quickly with a press of its one big button, and then the app handles everything including a firmware update if needed. Being camera-based for charting your rooms and building its map, it is slower than others this task. Be patient and allow at least three passes before it has a detailed map built that allows all the customization you could need. Name your rooms, set boundaries, and zones, and develop custom patterns and times to clean. This is also when you can coordinate mopping after vacuuming. The M6 mopper is a second, stand-alone unit. It has an internal tank for cleaning solution that’s easily removable from the top without picking up the unit. There are both single-use and washable wet and dry mop pads that easily attach and click into place. The unit knows wet from dry pads and will act accordingly. Both the cleaning solution and pads are proprietary, so plan on spending a bit on supplies. That said, it mops much better than the combo units I’ve had in the past. These are not inexpensive robots, but they are very good and clean very well. The ability to avoid obstacles does away with a lot of the need to clean up manually before you clean-up automatically common to most robot vacs. If you have a medium to large area to clean with carpet, wood, and wet mop areas, this tandem will do it all. If you want to schedule cleaning and not worry if you left your phone charger cord in the wrong place, what the pet did, or are there toys or stuff lying about, you can relax and forget those issues. Robot vacuums are getting better and better, but iRobot is once again leading the pack. Highly recommended.

I'm absolutely blown away by my recent purchase of a Roomba. It's been a total game-changer for my cleaning routine! The setup was incredibly simple, and the app is super intuitive. I love how I can schedule cleanings and even watch the Roomba in action from my phone. The cleaning performance is top-notch. It effortlessly navigates around obstacles and gets into all the tight corners. My floors are cleaner than ever before, and I've noticed a significant reduction in pet hair. I picked up my Roomba for an amazing deal of $230, and I'd definitely buy another one if a similar offer came along. If you're looking for a reliable and convenient way to keep your home clean, I highly recommend investing in a Roomba. It's a must-have for anyone who hates vacuuming!

Wow have these advanced. Last robot vacuum I had was the white roomba, and it just sucked; not in a good way either! This guy out of the box was very easy to set up it then started up and ran around my apartment mapping out the rooms without doing any cleaning. When it was finished the mapping that was displayed on the application was accurate, It even shows you areas that are carpeted. I had vacuumed and cleaned my floors a few days prior, but the first time this thing ran through my entire Apartment I was shocked at how much Pet hair it picked up. And that was just the basic setting for a quick everyday clean. I set it over to the deep clean option and it got even more hair up. These things have finally advanced far enough to where this is a no-brainer purchase. It hasn’t got stuck on anything including the shaggy doormat At my door, That absolutely surprised me. I thought for sure I was gonna have to pick it up, but nope, it handles it like a champ. I haven’t even had it get stuck on anything and it’s smart enough to detect a dog toy in front of it and then move on around it. my apartment is around 1200 ft.² The black Friday deal is on. You should run not walk to the nearest Best Buy that has this in stock.

A relative rhighly recommended a Roomba. After looking at available models I decided on the J7+ Robot and I have not been disappointed. Assembly was minimal and easy. Connection to my home wi-fi was a snap and it is easy to run off the phone app. I can tell it to clean everywhere or specific areas. It can go out and map without cleaning or map while cleaning and updates as it goes. It goes where I tell it and does it cleaning and then returns to its base where it empties its contents into a bag. It has done a wonderful job picking up dirt and avoiding things that may be in its way. I have a cat and it has picked up any cat fur on the flow. It has done a great job on my carpeted areas as well as hard flooring. I have been extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend this model.

I have hard surface floors with area rugs in your typical places, front door, kitchen sink, mud room and under the dinning table and this thing does great on all of them. Completely mapped out the house after a few cleans in which you can name the rooms also tracks the different substrates, shares pictures you can view on the app to verify temporary or permanent obstacle. Notifies you of issues when not working properly. I mean these things are only getting better. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.

I enjoy trying out multiple robot cleaners for my home and can say this one is very self sufficient and fun to use. For the Carpet, the robot cleans the carpet very well and very quickly. It was very through and avoided obstacles easily. The App, has a lot of great information when it comes to the robot, settings and configuration. The zones were easy to setup and the app was great to see all the available information of the robot. Overall the robot is really good to use and feel at a great price point (as of this review). I would strongly recommend this product.

To see my FULL video review for this product search for ‘James Newall’ in YouTube, or navigate to this link: https://youtu.be/EYEyWvIxXJY As someone who was sceptical about the usefulness of robot vacuum cleaners, the iRobot Roomba j7+ has been a pleasant surprise. Not only does the robot clean extremely well but it does so with almost no intervention from me, taking itself back to its base station when it’s finished a cleaning run, or needs recharging, where it will then empty its bin. Setting the robot up is very easy and within 10 minutes the robot started its first run around the house mapping the floor layout. Once the mapping is complete the features available to you through the app are fantastic allowing you to: - Instruct the robot to clean specific rooms (or areas within a room) on specific days and times in the day. - Setup ‘keep out’ zones that instruct the robot to avoid areas - See exactly where it has cleaned, when it cleaned and how long it took... and more The obstacle avoidance system is also very good sending photos of obstacles it encountered during a cleaning run, through to the app on your phone, allowing you to then select if it is a temporary obstacle or one to avoid all the time. Another big plus is the iRobot Roomba j7+ works with Amazon Alexa and/or Google voice assistants where once setup you can ‘ask’ the robot to clean your home, specific rooms or even specific areas within a room. In short, the iRobot Roomba j7+ is a good addition to the home helping to make cleaning your house/home that much easier.

Works great. Avoids obstacles. App is easy to use. Cleans well. Great for cleaning up litter around the litter box and food my cats have thrown all over the place. Cleans up hair and pet hair. I was expecting to still have to vacuum manually sometimes but I don’t.

This machine saved me from having to hire a house keeper! He, yes I gave him a name, keeps the tile floors very clean and the carpet fresh! He did not take long to lean the layout of the apartment- maybe 5 cleanings. I like watching him figure out how to overcome an object that I put in his path!!! He gets around it.

Love our Rumba. It’s amazing how it knows not to go down the stairs or bang into things. I was constantly cleaning the floors. Don’t need to think about them anymore. The iRumba does a great job getting under all the furniture and picking up any dust or crumbs from floor. Best thing is picking up the hair from the bathroom floor.

I absolutely love the j7+! I debated on spending the extra money for the feature of avoiding obstacles and I am so glad that I did. I had the original Roomba and it was always getting stuck under things...no more! Plus we have dogs so the dirt bin is a must. The Roomba j7+ maps out the house and sends me reports with pictures of obstacles so I can determine if it's temporary or set a stay out zone. A little scary of how smart it is but I absolutely love it!

The fact that it has the camera to ID obstacles and is self emptying is what sold me. Not too loud when it runs but does sound like a jet engine when it empties which is only for a few seconds. These seem to have come a long way and its a nice addition. Not a full replacement for a vacuum yet though.
