Cheaply made feel, weightless(Not for Apple)

Unfortunately, it’s really bad. Picture quality is horrible. Took me hours, hours! To find and download the link you will need to download from their website just to use this camera! Why can’t I just plug in and use? You just cannot you must download there windows driver just to use this camera. Not for Mac users, Only limited models it might work. I have the MacBook using Sierra, and it slightly work after downloading their required driver for MacBook. It was not compatible, the picture quality was horrible, not 1080p. My video with this camera was not showing 1080p it was 240p not even 740p. The worst camera for Apple. Very cheap does not weigh anything and feels hollow. Like the toys you buy at a dollar store, does have a sticker in the back that says MADE IN TAIWAN. Looks better in pictures.

Firstly, I tried to mount it to my webcam stand and use it to take a proctored exam. I got it in the mount but once I went to adjust it, the screw that holds the camera itself to the factory base was not screwed into the camera all the way and pulled out the camera. I couldn’t remedy the issue because the factory base has silicone on it for use when setting it on a monitor. I was able to sandwich it between the articulating base and use it for my exam. Secondly, I had to use the laptop webcam to verify my identity because the proctor could not clearly see anything on my license- it was too blurry. I have since returned this camera and gotten a Logitech and have had no issues with mounting or clarity.

Disappointing Camera - Not Worth the Purchase

I have beautiful red and white Christmas Santas and other vibrant decorations in my background, but the camera struggles to capture these colors accurately. You Get What You Pay For

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because it was cheap and available for store pick-up because I needed a webcam in a hurry. It worked fine for the first month or so, but after 6 months of regular usage, this has proven to be a very unreliable webcam. When I try to start a Zoom or Meet or Teams call, the webcam needs to be unplugged/plugged back in a few times to start to function. I've tried multiple different USB ports (which work perfectly fine for other devices), so I'm certain the problem is the webcam. Once it does start to work, it always crashes after about 20-30 minutes into the call. Even if the video is off, the microphone will stop working after a 20-30 minutes. According to j5create's warranty, "j5create does not warrant that the operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free," so this is apparently considered acceptable. I have a greate j5create USB3.0 to 4K HDMI adapter which as worked reasonably well for 9 months or so, so this webcam might just be a lemon, and I guess that's part of the risk you take when you buy a device that costs 1/3 of what a Logitech would cost. That said, I use this for work, and I need 99% up time, so I'm replacing this with a Logitech.

Great video; lousy audio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There were two good things about this camera: (1) the video quality was excellent; and (2) BB made it very easy to return the camera to a local BB store. Otherwise, it was a complete disappointment since the the audio was useless. I attempted to use this on three different computers, and on each one loud static made it impossible to carry on a conversation. This would have been OK if I were teaching hearing impaired students who could read my lips. This is not the case with my students. I might have tried exchanging it, rather than returning it, but this was the second web cam I purchased that had a faulty audio. So, I decided to make due with the built in web-cam on my lap top; despite the smaller screen and lesser quality video, the lap top's audio is just great.

Avoid, buy better.

There are many times this will stop working randomly. I'll have to unplug it, and re plug just to get the video to work, then the mic doesnt pick up audio. I make sure to have input video and mic audio correct,I ended up buying a different one on Amazon.

Just a horrible camera!

Once I actually tried using it, I was pretty shocked to how poor the video quality is. Additionally, the microphone is absolutely terrible, abysmal actually. I needed to leave review for this camera. camera cable was damaged, bad audio

When the camera was attached to the monitor the audio became distorted and warbled. Looking at the cable, it is damaged and that may be the cause of the problem. I have done a return and now have to spend time going to the store for a return.

Avoid Like the Plague

As a result, I decided to play it safe and purchase a FIFTY DOLLAR web cam that claims to have 1080p and 30 HZ refresh rate specs. I nearly failed my exam due to the poor function of this product. I was required to sign in by showing the proctor my photo ID. After downloading the companion app and ensuring I had the latest drivers, nothing could be done to get a clear enough image for the proctor to see me photo ID. I had to pivot from my office workspace and use the built-in webcam from a laptop that was made in 2014. Guess what? The old 720p built in webcam outperformed this FIFTY DOLLAR webcam that is being sold in 2021. 0/5 will never purchase a product from this manufacturer again. If you want to fail import events/meetings, spend FIFTY DOLLARS on this horrible product.

Overexposed image and fisheye lens effect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This camera has poor image quality: granulated, zero focus adjustment, contrast issues (things get either too dark or too bright). Combined with an wide-eye type lens that makes you look small and distant and has objects around the end of the frame distorted. It does adjust well to lighting changes and works well in low light situations (that's probably why it looks overexposed in normal lighting situations). It has a software to adjust brightness, contrast, sharpness and saturation, but it is clunky and doesn't save your adjustments, so you have to adjust again every time you close/open this software. For this price there are a lot of better options in the market.

Support was excellent and helped me troubleshoot. Ultimately Best Buy took it back and I got a different brand webcam that has worked perfectly since.

No ZOOM IN/OUT!

The default setting was way to bright but the real kicker for me was this camera does not have a digital zoom in/out feature. Its 2021, this should be standard on any 1080P webcam. I returned it.

The JVCU100 does not have a feature for zoom, if the app you are using with the JVCU100 supports zoom, you may be able to adjust there. We offer a companion app for configuring color, brightness and more. The JVCU435 does allow for zooming in and out with a remote included in the packaging. I wouldn't use it.

I bought this thinking it was going to help/work. I plugged it in and it was blurry when i checked my computer. After adjusting some of the settings, it still did not work. I tried to return it but was past the 15 days. So now i have dumb webcam that doesnt work nor could i get my money back!

Make sure you have adequate lighting in your environment to help the webcam produce a clear image. Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed on your computer. Plug the webcam into a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes, using a different port can resolve connectivity or performance issues. The camera works kinda. I have a blue wall behind me and every time I move, the camera shows my hair and body colored in blue. I tried using the camera settings on windows 10. Nothing helped. I created a support ticket and that system is flawed to get support. Delayed and now I can't log into the support system to find the ticket. If you are looking for a camera that has zoom in and zoom out functionality, this does not have hit. If I stay completely stil, The picture is clear with now blue tint from my background wall.

Defective

I set it up on top of my monitor and plugged it in and it worked great. A couple days later I had to take a quiz and my teacher asked i adjust my webcam to show my desk area. As soon as i touched it the device was showing that it was not recognizable. Turns out the usb cable is defective and only works at an angle it likes.
