Let me just thought out by saying I have been a long time user of job or products from the 25e to the 65 t and 75t, 7 active as well as now the 8 active. I would like to give this product five stars however noise cancellation 4 on the generous side. The sound quality would be better if it was louder however it does sound good. The connectivity is decent however it is somewhat slow at times. Overall my user experience has been good, not quite great but good. The laps in a n c quality is almost a deal breaker. It is balanced out by the fit the sound quality and the functionality of the earbuds themselves which are on par with Jabra s history. The sound quality is not an improvement volume wise to the 75 t. The fit and functionality are on par with the seven active, however I'm not sure that it's really worth the upgrade for the price. The only plus that I can definitely say they have over the seven active is the fit. These earbuds are extremely comfortable. The fit and functionality provide a seamless user experience in those regards. I can't help but wonder whether or not I should have upgraded to the 85 t based on the longevity as well as other users reviews of that particular earbud in the old form factor??? However Jabra you seem to still be doing a good not quite great job I think that you should pay a bit more attention to users comments and figure away to mesh the old form factor 75 t85t with the new fit / seamless call quality functionality of the newer eight and 10 active & pro versions.Food for thought!

Great earbuds im coming from ajaybirds vista 2 and these are very nice the anc and crispness and bass are perfect for me after you customize your EQ. There really isnt much that i dislike about them i wear them for mowing and the large eartips work great for me. I might even like the more than my Jabra elite 10 just due to the fact they are more gripping in the ear canal dont fallout.

These are the the best ear buds I've ever had and I've been through a lot of them. They do everything. You can change the volume by holding down the button on either bud, you can skip and go back to previous songs, you can hear and be heard easily on phone calls, they stay in your ears and the noise canceling feature is insanely good. If you don't like the noise canceling you can turn it off very easily with the oush of a button. I like the physical buttons as compared the touch ear buds because there are no accidental touches. I highly recommend them.

Jabra Elite 8 Active is a pair of earbuds that passed the rigorous US Military Standards for rugged electronics and this is not a light statement to make by Jabra. The earbuds have IP rating of IP6X, which is the maximum level of dust protection and even the case has an IP rating of IP5X. Jabra claims that bringing these buds to the beach for outdoor activities are not a problem. The buds also get an IP rating of IPX8, which means they can get submerged under water up to 1.5 meters and the case can withstand splashes of water as well. The buds were also tested against saltwater splash, too. Why do these ratings matter? Well, people have been buying Jabra earbuds mainly for their durability. These earbuds are meant for outdoor activities. But does Jabra deliver this time with the Elite 8 Active? Yes. Not only that these earbuds are durable, they stick in the ear really well. Jabra gives you a set of different silicone tips for better fitting to your ear, however, the ones that came stock work well for me. These earbuds stick really well to my ears. These days spatial audio is pretty much standard so these buds support Dolby Audio. However, it does not support Dolby Atmos, which is reserved for the higher-end model. In terms of other features, they’re all there. There’s ANC, which works pretty well, and also hear through that blocks out wind noise when we use the earbuds outside. The 6 microphones work well and I have used them for video conference without a problem. The earbuds can last up to 8 hours in a single charge and the case has enough reserve power to charge the earbuds 3 times. The case also supports wireless charging, which is nice. Now on to audio performance. I won’t be very critical here because again the main selling point of these earbuds are outdoor performance and activities. First thing first, make sure that the buds are updated to the latest firmware by downloading the app to your phone. You’ll be getting improvement in terms of audio performance. Generally speaking, audio performance is good. Audio is clear enough and the bass is very much audible and quite well pronounced. However, I would very much like it more if the mids and highs are more evenly pronounced so as to get more balanced frequency performance across the board. So, the types of music that play better in my test with these earbuds are dance and electronics, which is not surprising because these earbuds are meant for outdoor activities. Listening to Daft Punk’s track ‘One More Time’ is both enjoyable and energizing. Audio performance across all frequencies in that track make more sense and are quite typical to electronic music. Other types of music even classical music are still enjoyable to play, though they may not maximize on the sound characteristics of the earbuds, which are leaning more to the low frequencies. Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, 4th Movement, was still enjoyable to hear though it is less engaging than tracks from electronic music. Separation between all instruments and vocals is not the earbuds’ strength. It’s quite clear that the earbuds’ acoustics are tuned more to give better performance for specific genres of music. Still, this is a good pair of earbuds for outdoor activities.

These Are My All Time Favorites! They Fit My Ears!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These Jabra Elite 8 Series headphones have hit my ears with the best feeling of sound, structure and the most comfort out of every other set I have used so far, period. I have tried over 30 sets of ear buds over the $100 mark and plenty of others under $100 and these are my favorite so far and now look at other ear buds as inferior. I have used these for over 3 weeks straight on a daily basis, from working in a shop, taking walks, grocery shopping and even being on my motorcycle for long drives, and here is what I have found. The Elite 8 in-ear headphones are strong, they have hit the cement multiple times now and not one mark to date, they are tough, military tough! They also fit my ears better than any other ear bud I have tried, they actually stay in, I do not have to constantly push them back in, I go hours without adjustment. The Jabra Elite 8's also hit the mark with charge time, long days fret my music as they go hours on end playing, they have yet to die in a 9 hour work day on myself and I am between 90 and 100% volume the entire time. The Active Noise Cancelling is amazing as long as you download the app so you can turn the option on and off. When on my motorcycle, I can turn it off and turn on passive sound so I can hear the world around me which is a huge need on a bike. The ANC feature works almost too good, I had my 2 youngest kids yell at me with the volume at 70% and I could not hear them at all, hats off to Jabra for them creating a true ANC that works flawlessly. The ear buds charge very quickly from what I can tell, I never go without battery when I need them, I also only charge them once every 3 days so far, yet to run out of juice. Connection to all my devices have been seamless as well, not one device did not pair within seconds, it was always instant. Now, for the sound, these sound great, not my $500 gaming headphones good but not far off. If you have Dolby Atmos turned on your phone or PC and you turn it on in the Jabra app, you will hate your experience, you need to use the app only or phone/device only, the sound quality will suffer 10 fold if you do this, which I expect from other reviews that is most likely what they are having as an issue. The lows hit low, probably as low as 35 to 40 hz and then fade down from there, I feel like they have a subsonic filter built in, which is smart. The mids are clear, not muddy like many others, lyrics are crisp and clear like they were meant to sound like. The highs are crisp and not tinny at all, very smooth highs, if you get the tinny sound, your equalizer on your device may be set for general, not for your ears or device you are listening through, learn to adjust for yourself, it will make the worst headphones even a little better. The wireless range is amazing, states 32 feet which is false, it is WAY more, my desk in 49 feet away from my machine and I leave my phone on my desk, I can go another 4 or 5 feet past my machine control panel before it starts to break up. The built in voice assistance works great with Google, the microphone is very precise and picks up everything, so if you are trying to google search via voice, go away from others talking, it will pick them up. The charging case is great as well, compact for my pocket and giving us multiple more charges for weekend long hiking and camping trip performance. The built in controls work great, nice positive clicking feel so you know you are not looking like someone has a fly in their ear, you know what I mean. I am truly happy with these ear bud headphones from Jabra, these are easily one of the best for the price on the market currently in my opinion. I absolutely recommend these to anyone, especially if you have tried many sets and they do not stay in your ears, I can bet the house these will be for you!

With the Jabra Elite 8 Active wireless earbuds, I recently had the chance to raise my audio game, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. Finding the ideal set of earphones that met my many needs had been a bit of a search for me because I value music as well as being active. But now that I've had some quality time with these earbuds, I can declare with certainty that my quest is over. The Jabra Elite 8 Active makes a great first impression in the area of design. The earphones are packaged in a stylish, portable charging case that is convenient to carry. The case is well-made, and the magnetic lid closure works satisfactorily. Due to the variety of ear tip selections, the earbuds themselves are comfortable in my ears. Even during extended listening sessions or strenuous workouts, they are surprisingly comfy. The audio performance of these earphones is really where they stand out. Jabra has made every effort to offer a full and well-balanced sound profile. Crisp highs, powerful mids, and gratifying lows are all features of the Elite 8 Active earbuds. These earphones provide an excellent listening experience regardless of whether you prefer the complex melodies of classical music or the deep bass of electronic music. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology is what most struck me. It successfully muffles distracting background noise so I can fully enjoy my music or podcasts. The HearThrough feature enables me to be aware of my surroundings while out for a run or a bike ride without taking out the headphones. For wireless earbuds, battery life is a key factor, and the Elite 8 Active doesn't let users down. I received an impressive 7-8 hours of playback time with ANC enabled on a single charge without ANC you will get around 14 hours and That is substantially increased by the charging case, making it appropriate for all-day use or extended journeys. The Bluetooth connection has been steadfast. The earphones were simple to pair with my devices, and they stayed in contact with them throughout my use, even while my phone was in another room or pocket. The IP68 classification for dust and water resistance is a blessing for someone who likes to be active. These earbuds are designed to survive sweat and even the odd sprinkle of rain. They've held up quite well, and I've used them without concern during strenuous workouts and runs. The earbuds' simple touch controls make it simple to manage music playback, answer calls, and change the ANC settings. Even more control is available with the Jabra Sound+ app, which lets you personalize your sound profile and change the ANC settings to suit your preferences. It's a useful tool that improves the user experience in general. Good call quality is crucial in a world where remote work and video calls are the norm. In this regard, the Elite 8 Active earphones shine. My voice is audible even in noisy surroundings because of the six microphone call technology. Conclusion: The Jabra Elite 8 Active earphones have genuinely impressed me in every way, in my opinion. They are a top pick for anyone looking for a top-notch wireless earbud experience because to their beautiful design, comfortable fit, outstanding sound quality, long battery life, and durable build. These Jabra earbuds have something to offer for every one whether your a music enthusiast, a fitness fanatic, or a working professional on the run. They have unquestionably improved my acoustic experience and improved the enjoyment of my regular activities. The Jabra Elite 8 Active is a statement of excellence in audio technology, not just a set of earbuds. highly advisable

These Jabra Elite 8 Active Earbuds are an EXCELLENT choice! They have now supplanted my previous buds as my all time favorite! First and foremost, the fit and comfort are excellent! Most other buds (and I get it, I am a bigger guy) have not fit particularly well. Usually, when I am at the gym, I have reach up several times to re-seat other buds. These? Nope, they fit perfectly and stay seated. I forgot how nice it was to have good fitting buds for the first time in a LONG time! OK, so they fit well, but how do they sound? Short answer: They sound great! The bass is great... Very powerful but not overwhelming. The mids are clean, clear and defined. The highs are crisp and clean without being piercing. In the app, you can choose the standard default EQ settings, or you can create your own custom EQ and save it as whatever you'd like to name it. Another great feature is the noise cancelling. You have the option of NC off, ANC and HearThrough. The ANC is great for the gym. It blocks out a good deal of background noise. However, were I to use these jogging or biking or working, I would leave them in HearThrough mode. That allows for you to be aware of your environment while still enjoying your music. I am not going to get into the specs since you can get those from the BB or Jabra site, but from a user perspective, I can and would reccomend them to a friend!

I own a lot of different ear buds, but this is my first pair of Jabra buds. From what I've read about them, I'm hopeful they will do better than most of the buds I currently have, most of which fall far short on comfort and sound quality. Setting these buds up is a piece of cake. I didn't need the app to do it, which is a big plus. They paired with my phone without any trouble. As soon as you remove them from the charging case, they're powered up and ready to go. Not crazy about the case having a rounded bottom. It does not stand up on it's own, it needs to lay on it's back but since the lid flips back to open, it makes it a bit awkward to have the lid open and the case laying on the table. The lid has a detent which helps to keep it open while in the laying position, but it's not really enough of one to keep the lid from wanting to close. The charging port is on the rounded bottom of the case and is thankfully a USB-C connection, which make it extremely easy to plug the charging cable into. There are also two small LED indicators on the case. One on the outside to show the overall charge condition of the case itself and another one on the inside which shows the condition of the buds. Small LEDs but quite bright. They let you see at a glance the state of the charge for both. Unlike the majority of ear buds I've used, these guys just fit from the moment I put them in. Absolutely amazing. I've never had that happen before. The only thing I needed to do was pick the right size gel tips. They fit snugly without having to cram them so deep into my ears that they hurt. These guys just slid into place and made a tight seal to allow for really good bass response. The box claims that Jabra scanned 62,000 ears to create the perfect fit, and I can honestly say however they used that information, it worked! They feel snug yet very light in my ears. Really a pleasure to wear them, they stay in place perfectly, they're not overly big, so they always seem secure. I never felt like if I moved a certain way or went for a run that they would move around and cause me aggravation to re-seat them. One box checked, great fit! On to the sound. Everyone has their favorite music app, mine happens to be power amp. The bass response on these buds is really fantastic. This is how ear buds should sound. They have plenty of volume and the sound quality is really good! Deep, rich, punchy bass you can feel, clear mids and pleasant highs without being tinny at all. I was really surprised and blown away by both the fit and the sound. If you take the time to download the app, you get a bunch of additional features. You don't need the app to use the buds, but I do recommend it. There are some helpful pages that show the basic controls and how to wear them. Aside from that, there are battery level readouts, noise cancellation state, Dolby spacial sound, graphic equillizer and sound presets. I found all of them to be helpful in fine tuning the sound. Not sold on the spacial sound setting. It seemed to make the overall sound more thin. Which is the opposite of what I expected. The EQ presets work very well, but if you want more control, you can use the graphic EQ to dial in the sound how you want, and save your settings as a music preset. I found the noise canceling settings to work well. Again, you have a choice of whether to use the Active Noise Cancellation, the HearThrough or Off modes. I really like that by using one of the settings, it doesn't affect the sound of the music. On other ear buds, that's not the case. Also, another benefit of downloading the app is that you can register your buds for a 2 year warranty! Aside from the above listed positives, they're also US Military Grade Durability. I'm afraid I haven't had them long enough to really put this to the test, but they seem very solid and well made. They're military grade rating also means they've passed 9 durability tests and are protected against dust, water and sweat. All in all, a really great set of ear buds and currently far and away my favorite set in my collection of buds. Comfort is really an underrated feature. These guys have the fit down cold. On top of that they really sound great. Very well done Jabra, I'm very glad I gave them a try!

First off these sound excellent to me. I put them through their paces with all kinds of music types and enjoyed them across the music spectrum. The Jabra Sound+ app gives you lots of options with preset EQ options including customizing and saving your own. There’s also a Dolby Spatial Sound option. Music-wise honestly I like how they sound out of the gate. It handled multipoint pairing better than any other buds I’ve tried. Works perfectly every time and pairs with my phone and tablet simultaneously. Super helpful for me when traveling as I’m usually listening to music on the phone and then switch to movies/TV on the plane. Just pause one and hit play on the other. Speaking of traveling – the noise cancelation is excellent. Really blocks out cabin noise and speech/other passengers, etc. They are comfortable to wear on long flights and while getting in your workouts/runs. Battery is good for all day (rated for 8 hours). Charging is USB C. They are waterproof, but I probably wouldn’t use in water sports/activities. I’d be too worried they’d come out if you fell on the SUP (stand up paddle board). Bluetooth doesn’t work underwater, so not made for swimming. But good to know if you did get them fully submersed they can withstand it. Calls were clear and the others I asked on how I sounded said I was clear and fine, but not as good as my larger headset with a boom mic. Buttons are intuitive and easy to use to tap for various functions and they auto stop including turning off ANC and when you pull one out of your ear (good for when they come to give you the safety briefing in Exit row on a plane, etc.) They come with multiple ear size tips. The standard ones fit my ears perfectly. They have a nice small in ear profile. Overall, very pleased with these.

Hello ShawnInKB- Thank you for your feedback on the Jabra Elite 8 Active earbuds. We are delighted that you love Elite 8 Active audio quality across genres, and the customizable features, like the music equalizer and different sound modes, available in the Jabra Sound+ app, are helpful in personalizing your device. It is nice to hear that multipoint connectivity on your Jabra Elite 8 Active works seamlessly when you connect to your phone and tablet and that the Adaptive Hybrid ANC works well to filter out the noises in your environment when you are on the go.
While using your Jabra Elite 8 Active for water sports or activities may not yield the best performance (water is a barrier for Bluetooth), we wanted to ensure that the device could withstand whatever you put it through. The Jabra Elite 8 Active underwent military-grade testing and is our most durable earbuds yet.
Thank you again for sharing your review, and we hope you continue to enjoy your earbuds! Jabra

I truly cannot say a single bad thing about these earbuds! They provide an absolutely phenomenal listening experience, as well as noise canceling about as close to over the ear headphones as you can get from wireless earbuds. Firstly, these earbuds are extremely well built, and the materials for both the earbuds and case are a smooth touch material that feels very high quality. The controls of the earbuds are also excellent and intuitive, using subtle (extremely tactile and satisfying, I even use the headphones as a fidget sometimes!) buttons inside each of the earbuds on their surface rather than the traditional inaccurate touch sensors most wireless earbuds usually have. The earbuds also fit extremely comfortably and well, and are engineered to be used for more active situations, so are also IP68 water and dust resistant. It's honestly shocking how snug and comfortably they fit; the earbuds' physical shape actually conforms very closely to the shape of the ear! The packaging says that "62,000 ears [were] scanned" to make the fit as good as it is and it definitely shows! The real showstopper is the shockingly good sound quality and noise cancellation of these earbuds - they sound and provide active noise cancelling essentially a step down from high quality over the ear headphones and are absolutely phenomenal. All music, voices, etc. sound extremely crisp and clear, they have a wide frequency response meaning you can hear all of the intricacies of songs (similar to in over the ear headphones), the noise canceling blocks out almost all outside noise extremely well via active and passive noise canceling, and with onboard microphones these headphones also have an extremely useful (and suprisingly clear for earbuds with a seal in your ear) sound passthrough and good call quality. Last but not least, the earbuds integrate very nicely with Android phones via fast pairing, support smart assistant integration features, come with different sized eartips to refine your fit, have fantastic battery life that will last you days when combined with intermittent charging via the case, and are overall some of the absolute nicest earbuds I've ever used. I highly recommend giving these a try!

These ear buds are amazing. I love the compact case they come in. They include several ear gels to accommodate different sizes ear canals. They also include a tiny USB charging cable, but I prefer to charge them wirelessly. The carrying case serves also as a charging cradle. Now on the earbuds themselves. The fit is amazing and perfect in my ear, they stay put inside your ear and don't hang outside like many other ones. Each earbud has a button you press, and there is tactile feedback, which I love. Pressing (or double pressing) each one activates different functions, like answering calls, hang up, ignore calls. Then the other serves to activate the Hybrid Noise canceling or ambient sound (so you can hear people talking to you or sounds). I love that, you can choose to either isolate yourself completely (and the hybrid noise canceling is amazing) or you can swap to ambient mode to talk to people or listen. The sound is amazing, and I highly recommend you download their app. It detected my earbuds and there was a firmware update (which took quite a bit of time). With the app you can further customize the functions, enable Dolby's spatial sound (this is amazing for movies and games, I love it). My phone recognized the earbuds and also asked if I wanted to control many functions with them and also use my assistant to read me notifications, which is great. I love how rugged they are and how amazingly they fit inside my ears, when I go jogging, they don't become loose at all. They are sweat and dust resistant. So if you are looking for a pair of amazing sounding earbuds and you are a very active person and exercise a lot, I highly recommend them!!!!

After owning several different brands, including some even more expensive, i am quite impressed with these jabra elite 8. besides being absolutely comfortable, i feel its the quality of fit and material used, the pairing is easy. Now getting to the sound. nothing bad to say here... they sound amazing and the noise blocking is almost too good since you have no clue whats going around you at times, and i often get yanked by my kiddo to get my attention. Ive used them during flights and those can get loud. battery last for ever. Ive only had two issues with these, one i resolved with upgrading the app. on my phone since the battery notificaton wouldnt close. but the other has to do with the case; this case has a smooth surface and has no leverage or indent to flip open, i worry with time the hinge could loosen from pushing it back to flip open. i still would buy these again no doubt. Worth the extra splurge.

    My New Favorite Buds

The Jabra Elite 8 Active earbuds are my new favorite buds. Their amazing fit, touch controls, great sound, excellent battery life, and wireless charging has won me over. These are my new go-to earbuds. …. But they are not perfect. Still, anyone looking for rugged earbuds with great sound should definitely give these buds a look. Setup: Inside the box you get the buds, case, a short USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and additional tips so you can decide which works best for you. The default tips worked the best for me, but it is good to experiment, and you may find that different ears need varied sizes. Pairing is easy. In my tests, I paired the buds with my Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, A Samsung Galaxy S22, and a Windows 11 PC. Pairing with all the devices was easy. When I pressed the buttons on both buds, a pairing option opened automatically on my Galaxy S22. Jabra says you can have up to ten devices paired with the buds, but only two devices can be in use at a time. Jabra advertised the ability to pair the buds with a watch, and it does work. But I could not find too many apps that would stream audio from the watch. Most audio apps just allow a remote connection to the phone. For instance, if I download iHeartRadio or Amazon Music, the phone app connects to the phone. It does not appear to stream the music straight from the watch in my experience. So, that may be a feature in search of an application. Fit: Speaking of fit, these are the best fitting earbuds I have ever owned bar none. I have had a rough go with buds. They usually want to push themselves out of my ear. These Jabra stay where I put them and, after a while, I forget they are even in there. Sound: I think these buds sound great. From the Jabra+ app, I can customize the audio equalizer. I prefer the Bass boost setting. ANC and Pass-Through audio both works well. With simple presses of the left earbud, I can switch between the two. Spatial Sound: This has been a bit of a disappointment to me. Turning Spatial Sound on created tinny sounding vocals. Plus, many audio apps such as Amazon Music have spatial audio presets built in. Having both the spatial audio preset on the buds and the source music created a mess. But I had better audio with the spatial audio in Jabra+ turned off. Audio was richer without the feature turned on. I know Jabra has been tweaking this with the firmware, so perhaps it will get better, but I just updated the firmware to 1.4.2(1033) and I thought the spatial audio worked better with the prior firmware release. (but that is just me) Speaking of Firmware: I have had these buds a week and I have already had to update the firmware twice. First for a firmware update that was released before I received the buds and another that just came out. Jabra+ walks you through the process, but it can take ten or fifteen minutes to complete. Microphone performance: I made a few phone calls with the Elite 8 Active. To date, everyone says I sound good. The software does an excellent job of isolating my voice from the Oklahoma wind. There was some distortion if I was in an area with a lot of vehicle traffic, but I am hopeful that a firmware update will improve that performance. Google Assistant: Hey Google performance has worked well. Individuals wanting Alexa support will need to look elsewhere. Touch Buttons: I really like the tactile push buttons. They work so much better and are more intuitive in my opinion than the touch / glide controls of other earbuds. Software: I cannot say enough good things about Jabra+. It has a simple, clean interface that is easy to use. I appreciate the white noise options and the ability to toggle audio presets. It is also the only way to upgrade the firmware on the buds that I could find. Battery Life: Jabra advertises 8 hours of battery life, an additional 24 hours in the case, and fast wireless charging. ANC may affect your playback time a bit. In my testing, Jabra’s estimates are on the mark. If anything, they may be a bit conservative. Conclusion: I have mixed feelings about the spatial audio. I am not sure if microphone performance is where it should be in noisy environments. But those are my only real nitpicks. These buds work great. I have been extremely impressed with the Jabra Elite 8 Active. I have a feeling spatial audio and microphone performance will only get better with future firmware updates. As of right now, these are my go-to earbuds. They perform well, they are tough, and they travel well. I really like them, and they are easy to recommend. 4.5/5

I’ve been enjoying my time with the Jabra Elite 8’s. Sound quality is great, as you might expect. There are plenty of adjustments you can make within its companion app to fine-tune your music. I got used to and appreciate their smaller form factor (more on that below) with just a little bit of trial and error. Sound: Out of the box, the sound is great. I made sure to update the firmware first, via the Jabra app (which is where you should also begin, btw) I initially had some issues in pairing both buds using their app-less method, but it was far simpler of an experience via the app. Once updated and connected I was treated to what I expected from a pricier set of earbuds… quality sound. I find them to handle the full audio range well, with any fine tuning easily accessible from the app. Hybrid ANC works well and I’ve had no issue in blocking out unwanted talking and background noise. Fit and Design: These are small and a bit harder to manipulate into your ears than other’s I’ve had, but once you figure out the right tips to use and their intended orientation, it becomes second nature. I appreciate their small size, nothing hangs down from the ear - and when properly worn, are quite comfortable. The silicone finish also works as described, giving these some added grip such that they don’t fall out during workouts and a little sweating. One thing of note, however, is that because of this finish and their dark color, dust does tend to visibly cling to the surface, so I clean them a bit more often that I thought I might. Not a big thing, for sure, they look professional when wearing. Their included charging case also has a simple, clean plastic design - and thoughtfully without the silicone finish here. App Experience: Jabra offers a simple but effective app, allowing simple control of Pairing, EQ, quick selections for music-listening profiles, Soundscapes and Dolby Spatial audio. Most of these are nice additions, including the surprise inclusion of soundscapes, which are basically background noise options for when you want to fall asleep or listen to something other than music. Things like a recording of a thunderstorm, waves, cavern, songbirds and various white noises. I spent more time using them than I thought I would, so check them out if that would ever interest you. The only feature I don’t like is Dolby Spatial Audio. It’s just bad, I don’t see its appeal. I thought it might provide a 3D head-tracking effect, but instead it seems to simply add an echo chamber to your music, causing it to sound like it’s being played in a club. I wouldn’t dock these for its inclusion since I find it superfluous to everything else that these do well, but I don’t recommend using that setting. Overall, these are a great option for active users. They’re on the pricier side, but hold up well to the competition while providing great sound in a compact and sport-ready design. They offer Hybrid ANC to block out unwanted noises and come with an easy to use companion app. What’s not to like? These are nice.

Great Buds With A Glitch...But Not For Long.

I wanted to like these so bad and for the most part I do but one thing stops me from loving them....Hearthrough Mode. When in this mode the earbuds start out working perfectly fine and you can hear your surroundings just fine but when there is a constant background noise like driving with both windows down or in a room with machinery running the buds decide to muffle the noise for some time and then go back to working normally again. Sometimes it is 10-15 seconds and other times it's multiple minutes before they go back to “normal” operation in that mode. They do this over and over and over as long as the background noise is constant and you have them in hearthrough mode. It is distracting, annoying and in some cases, for me, dangerous because I am a Contractor and I need to hear what is going on around me at all times! I do not need my buds “putting a pillow over my head” every few seconds and then removing it whenever they feel like it for a few seconds and then muffling the sound again all day long! Now the good....They are the best buds I have ever had that STAY IN BY THEMSELVES and do not need to be readjusted or pushed back in regularly through the day. They just stay in! They are really comfortable too! Plus they come with 3 different sized ear tips so you can get the fit you want and they are not proprietary ear tips so you can buy aftermarket replacements when they wear out or get lost. The charging case is nice and slim and is the only case I have ever carried in a pocket over 21 sets of earbuds used or tested in the past few years. They are easy to reinsert and they always connect and charge without having to wiggle them around in the case. The software is great and has a really nice integration of the google assistant that I really like. You can get notifications read to you with a tap on the right earbud button or you can hold it and speak a task or search query and it works flawlessly. You can also customize the actions of the buds buttons on each side for single tap, hold, 2 taps, 3 taps. So you can have up to 8 actions with both buds active. The app has a built in EQ that has presets and also allows you to customize the sound if you'd like. The app lets you do a lot, like track your buds with GPS allowed, play ambient noises, playback your voice in the buds while on a call so you're not yelling at people and so much more. They are highly customizable through many aspects and too much to explain here. The app is well thought out and gives the most customization and options that I have seen in any earbud package I have owned to date. By far the best app experience. ANC works great with no flaws and blocks unwanted noise from interfering with the audio that you are listening to but it can be turned off if you do not want to use it. However it is always active on a phone call in single bud mode. Not a deal breaker for me and it does make sense why that is applied in that mode. I wish it had 2 more "clicks" up for volume as I have worked and do work in noisy environments and my ears are not what they used to be. To be fair this is a wish on most earbuds that I have except for my favorite pair that has yet to be beat in 5 years even by their own new releases. I think the max volume on these will be found to be perfectly acceptable to most users. Listening with ANC and Hearthrough OFF is pleasant and no noticeable things to complain about. The sound quality is very good in all modes, even Hearthrough no matter if its muffling surrounding noise or not, the audio being played sounds good. Overall I really like them and IF they find a fix for Hearthrough with a firmware update then I will LOVE them and they may finally take the reigns away from my trusty favorites even though those are a tad bit louder, these are more comfortable and STAY IN! I love not having to fidget with my earbuds through the day because my activity keeps making them slip out slowly. These do NOT do that and I love that about them! Plus they sound great! I think these are a winner and most people will be very happy with them as I am. I really like these and even with the hearthough annoyance I have found myself reaching for these more often than any others I own since receiving them. I do recommend them and I think the hearthrough thing is just a new product glitch that will be fixed really quickly. I have contacted support and they seem to be really interested in details and finding a solution, even mentioning, they do want to resolve it as fast as possible because they are a new to market product. So I think it will be resolved. With that faith in mind these are an absolutely recommended item. The company actually cares and wants to help to make their customer's experience the best it can possibly be, even with a new item. A++++ Really nice buds! I would order them again if they got lost and that should speak volumes because I own so many "back up" pairs. I genuinely like these a lot!

Coming To Compete With The Pixel Buds Pro

Jabra really impressed me for the most part with this new offering. And Jabra has never impressed me with any of their headphones before. While the case for these headphones differs from the more egg-shaped case for the latest Google Pixel Buds Pro case, the similarities are unmistakable: wireless charging for the package, earbuds recharging from the case, overall physical design, ear feel and orientation. These earbuds fit into the ear canal easily and feel well-seated and comfortable immediately. The associated app is intuitive and helpful. The app is especially helpful with equalization - providing a number of thoughtful presets along with a useful self-tunable sound shaper / equalizer (see image below). Active noise cancellation works very well (not perfectly) - and switching between modes is simple via earbud taps. The application provides a nice choice of "soundscapes" to mask external noises that might be distracting. The common themes (e.g. fans, rain, birds, storm, waves) are convincingly real and can effectively obliterate intrusive noises with help from active noise cancelling. The app includes a strange Dolby spatial sound enhancer for media streams that "expands" the media sound - this enhanced sound, from every conceivable media type, was invariably a degraded stereoalizezation effect that produced an annoyingly fake sound. A terrible addition ! Excluding that option, the sound is fantastic - clear and noiseless treble with surprisingly strong bass from such a tiny earbud. Navigation is intuitive but is not without fault (navigating taps don't always land the result you are anticipating). And the range for the Bluetooth connection is less-than-stellar. Overall: these sound great but I don't find their overall operation to be at a level where they can compete with the latest Google Pixel Buds Pro while demanding the same price. I would definitely recommend these, but I would also recommend that you carefully consider other earbuds on the market that might be better for you. There are a LOT of earbuds like this on the market right now.

    Best earbuds hands down

I've gone through so many earbuds in my search for "the best." My Airpods Pro 2 were just leaving a lot to be desired in terms of bass/sound, so then I went to Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds, and those were great in terms of sound and ANC but if I moved my head the slightest bit they were so huge they would just fall out. These Jabra Elite 8 headphones have super good sound quality (way better than airpods, comparable to Bose), and the ANC is fantastic. I work out with these every day, and they do not fall out, and the noise canceling helps me focus on what I'm doing in the gym. The rubber really grips, and I haven't tested out the waterproofing yet, but I've seen some insane reviews on YouTube where they fully submerged these in water and they were completely fine. They also connect to any device super quickly, and the button touch controls are the most intuitive out of any earbuds I've used. Also, they have yet to die on me and I've had them for maybe a month now. That's absolutely insane to me. I use them all day every day for so many different things, and they have never once died. My Airpods died all the time! You want these earbuds, trust me. I've searched for so long, and I'm so happy to have found earbuds that finally check off all the requirements with flying colors.

I did a lot of research before purchasing these. I read some negative reviews and was thinking of passing, but I'm glad I didn't. I purchased the Bose QCII ear buds as well and compared them to the Jabra Elite 8 active. In my opinion the build quality of the Jabra is just so much better for what I need it for. The ANC is decent and the Bose wins in that department, but for durability and to last while I'm working out the Bose just felt cheap. I've enjoyed these and they fit in my ears comfortably for long periods of time throughout the day. If you're looking for ear buds you can workout with and run these are them. SQ is decent not as good as my past Bose Soundsport, but nothing really to complain about unless you're super picky about your audio. These are "Active" ear buds. So take them for that.

I'm sure Bose, Samsung and Apple make good ear buds, but I thought I'd give these Jabras Elite 8s a try. I never heard of Jabra and the guy at Best Buy didn't know too much about them either. I wanted waterproof ear buds which the other brands could not provide. These Elite 8s sound really good, are water proof, and have excellent noise cancelation. The app allows you to customize the features and button pushes. I've worked out with them and they stay lodged in my ears. These buds come with a small, medium, and large inserts. The carrying case allows you to recharge your buds when they are not in use. I am very impressed with these ear buds, and will buy Jabra down the road!
