Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a bose solo 5 for several years and it was ok, i just thought it was time to upgrade and there were many soundbars that sounded great but too pricey. So the JBL Bar 500 5.1 sounded awesome and easy to hookup and my TV never sounded better. The remote is a luttle small with the basic options, volume, bluetooth, hdmi, bass control level, and calibration and 2 other options. Still learning the remote. For me it's an awesome buy. Price is right. So far i love it.

The only downside to this sound bar is the remote, it looks and feels pretty cheap. But overall this sound bar is good for the price. Plug and play, it's that simple.

Great sound, but missing remote/broken pieces.

I super glued it rather than returned it since the box it came in was so big and it would have been annoying to deal with. It also was missing the remote controller. I luckily was able to program my tv remote to it and also set up the app on my phone to control it from there. System works great otherwise.

Terrible syncing

Unfortunately, the sound will only intermittently will work when watching TV. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - and pressing the TV button on the remote does nothing. Look elsewhere.
