If you push them hard battery won't go the full advertised time. Needs a higher amp input to recharge doesn't seem to work with most older cell phone cubes. Fits perfectly in my golf cart cup holder.

Good Bang For Your Buck

So much more bass and better sound quality then her previous portable speaker. Glad we chose to go the JBL route. Sometimes the UE would have problems charging, but no issues with JBL!

Try charging the speaker overnight. Move the charger around the charging port to see if that helps. If you need more help, please contact our customer support for assistance.

It starts charging and then stops and if I turn it on, starts for 1 or maximum 2 songs and then stops working.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. Your JBL Flip 5 might has a bad power adapter to have a problem like this. The charger may not be powerful enough to power the unit and charge the battery. Check the adapter and make sure that the rating is 2 amps or higher. Reset may also fix the issue, please follow these steps: Remove or forget the speaker from the list of paired Bluetooth devices in the settings of the phone or tablet. Then, with the speaker powered on, press and hold the Volume + and Play buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the unit turns off.
The speaker has now been reset. For further assistance, feel free to contact our customer support.

Returned it to Best Buy and they gave me a new one right off the shelf. Very good customer service. Love the speaker.

Defective, two times over

Had to return one to get a new one 3 weeks later because it wouldn’t charge any longer. They ordered me a new one, and now the other original one I had won’t charge and Best Buy’s return policy is only 2 weeks. Worst products ever, worst return policy ever (because the product is clearly defective).

Terrible Speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have a little Braven speaker that was amazing, it had the speakerphone and the ability to charge devices as well. so you can imagine my surprise when I purchase one of these JBLs, and they cannot be used as an external charger! and also when the device is turned up fully, i hear tons of popping and static. needless to stay, I returned it immediately and will be getting another Braven, highly recommended, i promise you will like it much better than a JBL and I guarantee youll find one for much cheaper as well
