This portable speaker is AMAZING!! It's as beautiful as it looks in pictures / videos if not more so. I love how it times with the music. Holds a charge for so long and goes LOUD. As someone who listens to music at a minimum of full volume always, this speaker does not disappoint me. I've also dropped it a few times from 4-5ft since purchase and it holds up perfectly!!! Great purchase :)

The quality of the sound is very good and since it has deep bass I can feel the music nicely. And it's portable so it is very comfortable for me to take the speaker anywhere I go, especially when I go to hangout with my friends by the lake. I really like this product and the price is worth it. Additionally, the ranges of color are 360 degrees of eye-catching colors synced to the beat of your favorite songs. And are very spectacular to watch. And the size & shape of the speaker is very comfortable and easy to carry. It has an incredible 20 hours of battery life, JBL Charge 5 lets you party all day and into the night. IP67 waterproof and dust proof. JBL Charge 5 is very nice product, so you can bring your speaker anywhere.

I'm actually quite disappointed in this speaker, and I'm a hug JBL fan. I love my Charge4s, and any JBL headphone I've been happy with. But the Pulse5 seems like a huge quality drop. First the Pros- -Has great sound from any direction -Has an easy to use equalizer on the JBL app -The visuals are awesome(my favorite is the Storm setting) -Has a good battery for having lighting (about 10-12 hours on full blast, watch your eardrums though) Now the Cons- -Has no control buttons. No volume, pause, skip, nothing. -PartyBoost isn't compatible with JBLConnect(old speakers) -PartyBoost is only useable about 6ft from each speaker. I start getting skips and pops at 10ft. -You can't use PartyBoost when connected to a PC. I was hoping to use these with my laptop, but apparently it's a hardware incompatibility. -You can cause a feedback loop if 2 speakers are set to the same source and you enable PartyBoost. Thankfully I prevented any damage, but be careful. Overall, I'd say stick with the old speakers, or wait for a sale. Or just buy one and forget PartyBoost. Also the carry handle is just a 2 inch loop of fabric. It's well constructed, and feels very durable, even has grip lines, but its more suited for hanging off a hook than actually carrying it.

I would give this speaker 5 stars if it held a charge while using the light features. As long as the lights are off the speaker will play for about 20 hours. If the lights are on you get about 3-4 hours of use. The sound is excellent! Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase. I don’t use the light feature that often anyways. I use the speaker outside by the pool and it produces very clear sound and has held up well. I use the speaker daily and haven’t had any issue. The app is also user friendly.

My husband loves it and I tell you it’s a cool product lights up and trust me when I say this I could hear it from the second floor of our home cool loud and good supportive battery

The is IT!! If you are looking for a good quality speaker that has great bass- This is the one- sound is clear and the battery lasts a long time. I highly recommend.

Bought it for my vacation for the eclipse and this little bad boy made a rooftop get together much more lively In downtown Austin. Not to mention the excellent battery life for extended listening sessions. The lighting effects make it a must for dark areas and camping get togethers.

Another good product by JBL, but let's be honest. This speaker's cool because of the lights. The app provides options for the lights, but only a couple are very good. JBL's XTREME, charge, and flip are all better options speaker wise in terms of sound and battery; however I can't help but enjoy the lights and the fireplace visual.

Much better than the jbl pulse 3 and powerful than its predecessors. The battery life is really amazing and not glitchy like the pulse 3. Would definitely recommend to buy this if you are looking for a shower time speaker or show off to your friends with the cool light show!

I’ve had the three for years and it’s still working well I just needed another one, of course by now they have the five. And it’s working well. Nice job of lighting and the batteries got a nice long life to it.

This speaker can hold a charge for an extended amount of time during party events. The colorful light patterns make this item perfect for entertaining guests.

The speaker is a great speaker with good updates to the previous version. The lighting effects are better then previous versions and they added in the JBL app different settings including EQ which is a 3 band. The speaker also has features of ambient noise you can play like the ocean, outdoors campfire etc. the notes the speaker produces are crisp and clear. The battery life is great. Some cons for this speaker are the JBL connect to other speakers being party mode only works with the last gen speaker line up not the 3s or older at least at this moment of review. Another con is when you have the speaker in rain or water in gets on it in general the water traps in the top grill and will make the sound quality worse until water is removed however the speaker works great still. USB C is lovely all in all I recommend the speaker I just wish it was a little cheaper by like 50 dollars

My daughter got this for Christmas and uses it all the time. The battery has a long life.

Excellent speaker, I use it everywhere and it never fails me. The battery is large and the sound is spectacular.
