After months of debate on the right dishwasher, I’m extremely happy with our choice. We have a toddler...so lots of weird shaped plastic pieces and little hands always looking for trouble. The third rack is actually functional...it holds sippy cups, juice glasses, coffee cups, small bowls and still has space for cup tops, cooking utensils, etc. The second rack has enough space for the usual suspects even with the deeper third rack. The bottom rack easily accommodates bulky plates and food containers and the silverware is nicely spaced in the rack. It has more capacity than we’re used to as we’re running out of dishes and silverware before it’s totally full and that’s never happened before. The dishwasher is quiet, everything is clean and even the plastic comes out essentially dry (I’ve only had a few small wet spots in nooks and crannies). The pocket handle is a win with a toddler that wants to open everything and the screens in the front and top of the door are convenient for delay, times and status. The non labeled front is great in a kitchen that isn’t all KitchenAid. The only improvement I could add would be a child lock (not sure why top control dishwashers don’t utilize this feature).

This baby can really hold some dishes. It takes a couple times to find the ultimate loading configuration. The third rack is fantastic. It also is truly whisper quiet as a mouse. Of course most importantly, it will clean and dry to utmost satisfaction. The display of current wash cycle is really nice. We are extremely pleased with this unit. I did replace a still working 15 year old KitchenAide for a marvelous upgrade. Installed by myself was fairly simple. Did I mention it's quiet? You will love this dishwasher so much, that you will look at it constantly. Oh, and boy is it quiet.

Performance and sleekness was a factor in choosing this incredible dishwasher, not to mention made in the USA. Washing cycles may take longer then the old KitchenAid dishwasher of 20 years ago, but it is worth the wait. A third shelf is a great idea and will be useful. Very quiet while in running mode.

I was concerned with this purchase after reading some of the reviews. It was between the Bosch 600 and the KitchenAid, but the salesman seemed to prefer this model. I made the final pick considering total cost, and with free installation, selected KitchenAid. I was replacing a 14 year old working Bosch, but wanted everything to be stainless, after kitchen remodel is completed. The KitchenAid dishwasher holds more dishes, the racks are excellent, runs very quietly, and using express wash, with pro-dry, the dishes are both clean and dry. I did however, purchase the extended warranty.

Quiet, cleans well, love the 3rd rack. Fits lots of dishes, pots, pans, glasses, & silverware. Everything comes out nice and clean. Expensive but worth it. I’m very happy with my purchase. Love kitchen aid products. Looks great and gives great performance.

We purchased the Kitchen Aid Top Control Built-in Dishwasher approximately 2 months ago. It already out performs our old Fridgedaire dishwasher hands down This dishwasher can hold more dishes than my previous one. The third top rack is a game-changer—I can place small bowls there, creating additional space below. It’s the quietest dishwasher I’ve ever owned. No more disruptive noise during cleaning cycles, The third rack is a winner. It accommodates silverware and small items, freeing up space in the lower racks.

This a 3 rack washer. All racks are roomy enough for larger items. It's easy of operation is a bonus. If you want a washer that makes no noise except for the water draining this isn't for you. But with that being said the noise is minimal, you can still watch a show on t.v. with the volume low or sit near it and still have a conversation without issue. This is the first dishwasher i have owned that didn't leave some water on the dishs after drying. And I have not noticed any humidity when opening the door when the drying is done. Over all I am very pleased with this dishwasher.

I love this dishwasher. I have a large family, with lots of little kids. I wanted something that was stainless steel on the inside because it is so much easier to take care of. The 3rd rack is my favorite. It’s perfect for all those little cups and bowls my kids use. It’s super quiet and the quick cycle definitely actually cleans the dishes. Plus it is sleek and pretty. 10/10 would recommend.

Love, love, love this dishwasher! It holds so much more than my old one did, and the dishes all come out sparkling and dry! It is pretty to look at (photo doesn't do it justice) and seems to be made with quality in mind. Love having three shelves (wasn't sure I would, but I love it. LOVE having the controls on the top of the door instead of the sides. I could never read the ones on the side, but these are well lit, and very clear to see as well as easily accessible. The only slight imperfection is that the inset handle lip has a seam that felt a little rough to begin with. KitchenAid needs to put that seam where it can't be felt. But all in all, I simply love it, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat! I highly recommend.

Love this dishwasher. It’s so quiet you don’t even know it’s on. The first time I used it I thought it wasn’t working it was so quiet. Dishes are cleaned perfectly. It can fit a lot of dishes especially with the top rack. Coffee cups fit great on the top rack. I had purchased an LG and exchanged it for this one. Sleek design

We love our KitchenAid dishwasher Model:KDPM604KPS with the extended ProDry (fan enabled) system. Our daughter purchased a similar Kitchen Aid dishwasher and would sometimes need to let the plastic items in finished loads air dry for a few additional minutes. This model dries everything perfectly. It's incredibly quiet when operating. The design of the third rack is very useful for cups, glasses and oversized utensils. Very easy to select cycles and options. We ordered the pocket door to blend with our other kitchen appliances. Smooth delivery & install. No problems at all over the 9 months we've owned it. Highly recommend.

    The “Goldilocks” of Dishwashers

Its just right. Not too cheap (price and build) and not too expensive (especially when on sale). Its easy to trip over LG and Samsung, even GE, with the ability to WiFi connect (really?), steam, etc. However, quality matters, and a brand history of making excellent products is important, and in this aspect KitchenAid does not fail. The fearures are grear, the third drawer is deeper than other brands, and while Bosch is great (and what I looked at first) the KitchenAid beats it and the other brands solidly. Very much like the display with a timer on top of door, while front tells what cycle it is on. It is fairly quiet too. All around a model to be happy with. (Note, it meshes well with other brands as it does not say KitchenAid on the front. Smart idea!). (Also, when found on sale or at outlet, what a steal. I paid $552 and installed myself, which was straightforward)

We elected to go with the Kitchen Aide dishwasher because our first one lasted 25 years. The sleek new model is quiet, efficient and has three well designed racks to optimize space. We could not be happier with our choice!

A dishwasher is one of those things you have to research, ask friends about, the sales people and still hope for the best. So when our 13 yr old one washed its last load we were tasked with just that. I was pretty confident when we found this especially since we had to go to a few stores to find it in stock. Let me tell you my other dishwasher I seriously had to rinse the dishes clean before putting them in, but this one nope, I scrap off the chunks and set them in there. IT IS AMAMZING!!!!! Where has this been my whole life. It's like someone is in there hand washing each dish! Its sleek design easily fits any decor, controls are hidden which I also love, you can also delay our wash cycle if you need to start it later and the drum is steel instead of plastic which is much more durable and sooooo quiet, our other one sounded like a truck coming down the road. Oh and there are 3 racks AND the middle is adjustable! I just love it, we all love it! Plus it's Kithen Aid made in America, bonus :)

On top of the fact that the machine looks very high quality in our kitchen, it runs quite silently, can hold a lot more dishes than our previous washer and does a very good job of cleaning the dishes.

Great item. Definitely recommend third rack. Easy install but Kitchenaid does not include water hookup elbow so make sure you get one for hardline or flex. Disappointed since Kitchenaid charges a premium for dishwasher. Love third rack and it is super quiet.
