This is my second e-bike and I chose this one for its fat tires and folding option. I love how easy this was to assemble, quite amazing actually! It is much lighter than my other bike and it was easy to place in the back seat of my sedan. I’ve driven over 100 miles and feel so safe on this bike. The fat tires are giving me a good workout as I keep the settings low to increase my workout. Drives well on packed sand and paved roads. I was surprised to see this at Best Buy! I ordered and picked up the same day. This newer version got great reviews and I’m happy to add to that!

An excellent and reliable bike that helps me commute between home and the office, even during the current cold season, since I’m not able to buy a car yet. It’s fast, and the battery lasts long enough for my needs.

One-Star Review: Great Bike, Terrible Customer Ser

One-Star Review: Great Bike, Terrible Customer Service from Best Buy I want to start by saying that the Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 is an amazing bike. It performs exceptionally well, is fun to ride, and lives up to the hype. However, my experience with Best Buy has been nothing short of a nightmare, and that is why I’m leaving a one-star review. When I received my bike, the advertised $177 Cargo Package was missing. I contacted Best Buy’s customer support to get this resolved, and after waiting on the phone for 54 minutes, the agent hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another agent who not only refused to help but also stated I couldn’t escalate the issue to anyone else. This second agent, based in a remote call center, was dismissive and rude. They told me my only options were to work it out with the manufacturer or return the bike to the store for an exchange. An exchange would require a 3-hour round trip, and it’s unreasonable to expect customers to do that for something so simple. All I asked was for Best Buy to ship me the missing Cargo Package. The response was shocking—they refused to take ownership and insisted the issue was between me and the manufacturer. As a last resort, I tried their online chat service. Once again, they pushed me back to the manufacturer or suggested I make the trip to exchange the bike. This lack of accountability has turned what should have been a simple fix into an incredibly frustrating ordeal. After a quick search, I discovered that missing Cargo Packages are a common issue with this product. Yet Best Buy seems to do nothing to proactively address it or take care of their customers once the sale is complete. I’m riding and enjoying the bike now, having adjusted it to fit me, but the experience has left a bitter taste. I will happily update this review to 5 stars once Best Buy takes responsibility and sends me the missing Cargo Package. Until then, I cannot recommend buying this product through Best Buy unless you’re prepared to deal with their unhelpful customer service. It’s a shame that a great product is marred by such a poor customer experience.

It's an amazing bike if you're mechanically inclined you won't have to spend much in terms of upkeep. Ive had mine for 25 days and put 111 miles on it so far. I had to learn a lot about bicycle repair because there were certain clicks and pops coming from the rear end after 50 miles, I ended up tightening the spokes, adjusted the derailer, adjusted my brakes all to no avail. I deflated my tire to find the screw holding the rear fender on was loose so I tightened it and my bike is now silent other than the brakes that are notoriously loud (but they stop and they're hydraulic). Overall 10/10 experience.

Bike is fantastic and the price was in line with what you pay from the Lectric website. It was better for me to be able to pickup from a store the same day rather then wait for delivery. Best Buy guys were friendly, helpful and my bike was ready to go in minutes. Bike was easy to assemble with their online videos and it is well made. Seat could be more comfortable, but they do offer an upgraded one if you want.

Before this Lectric XP 3.0 LR bike, I only had an electric scooter. Now, I see the appeal for casual rides, where you may want to go for a ride to get some air but no necessarily a workout. TL;DR if you want to see the pros/cons - and more details follow Good: Hydraulic disc breaks Front shocks Rear storage capacity Range LCD display Step-thru vs Step-over Folding Safety Lighting Software customizations Overall Ride Lock / Key for security Not so good: Squeaky front breaks after 1st day Rough Gear changing The need for a torque wrench No documentation Having only seen eBikes before, I never quite understood the appeal as the ones I've seen are, like I find the Prius, are not at all appealing to look at. I've changed a bit with regards to eBikes - well, at least this eBike. Packaged well for transport, I was able to remove the bike and all of the taped packaging in less than 10 minutes. All in all, after tire inflation & removing all the warning tags - total time was less than 20 minutes. With black zip-ties on a mostly black frame, I was careful to only cut the tie & not scratch the frame (or cut the wires). When done, there was a substantial amount of packaging waste. In the box, there was nothing describing how to (assemble or) position the bike to insert the battery and had to resort to the You Tubes. Then, I saw that Lectric wants a certain torque tightness of the wheels BEFORE you go for a ride. While I have a ton of tools, a torque wrench is NOT one, so decided to just forget that I saw that part. Also, seeing how it assembles makes me thing of an easy take-down to toss it in the trunk if I wanted to. After assembly, I went right to charging, where I used a portable solar generator that shows wattage output & the average amount of draw from the bike was 107 watts. With a 500Wh battery, I found the eBike charges in around 5-6 hours, as the draw slows down as the battery gets closer to being full. After a full charge, I took the included key and put it in the vertical position to power up and turned on the LCD screen, which was bright and crisp. "Stepping thru" the bike vs over the top bar is nice and helps for a quick dismount. After being off a bike for a year or so, I found that at times I missed my sleek road bike, but when it came to hills, very much enjoyed pedal assist (PAS on the LCD) feature of the bike; even slight inclines with PAS are way more helpful than the Shimano shifting mechanism. Speaking of the Shimano shifter, it's not smooth; switching gears seems to slip or not totally catch. Shifting this bike reminds me of being a kid riding and shifting a bike I'd crashed too many times & things didn't work so well. At the rear of the bike is a place that can support accessories with a clearly marked150lb weight limit; I already started looking at packs that don't look stupid and can fit a decent amount of things. With a top speed of 20MPH, you can easily get into the settings menu on the display & unlock 28MPH and man, that adds some more fun to an already fun ride. I did spend the first 15 or so miles with the 20MPH governor on before I knew how to unlock it and even then, it was a fun ride; pushing it over that max made it even more fun. Minus the shifting issues, my second day of riding (and every day after that) was greeted by front break squeaking - and by squeaking, I mean screaming of the normally desired hydraulic disc breaks. When riding with my kid, who was using the e-scooter - the sound of me coming to a stop was a constant pain point - I was being mocked relentlessly on how loud it is; the rear brakes don't exhibit the same squeaking issue. From roads to bike paths, I found the ride to be very smooth the front shocks absorb a ton of the bounce. Minus the squeaking, this is a pretty solid boke for the price and would recommend it for those who may be on the fence about an eBike and that may want a casual ride here & there.

All the good thing: I found a bike in my price range, and it came already assembled, which was a must for me. My knees are bad, so I needed a, throttled bike. It has a fast take-off All the bad things it's hard to stop, and it's too heavy.

A ton of fun. Well worth the price. Only dislike is no brake lights. Only a rear red light that doesnt get any brighter when you brake. Besides that nitpick... great bikes. Wifey loves hers also.

The Lectric eBikes - XP Step-Thru 3.0 Foldable Long-Range eBike is an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a versatile, high-performance eBike that’s easy to operate and packed with features. From the first ride, it was clear that this bike was designed with convenience and enjoyment in mind. One of the things I love most about this bike is how effortlessly it rides. It's fast, with a top speed of 28 mph, which makes it perfect for commuting or just zipping around town. The five levels of pedal assist, combined with a twist throttle, offer a smooth and customizable riding experience, whether you’re looking for a gentle assist or full-on power. The bike’s foldable design is another major plus. It easily fits into the trunk of a car or the back of an SUV, making it ideal for taking on adventures. I’ve had a blast touring around my town, soaking in the scenic views without worrying about how I’d transport the bike afterward. Comfort and ride quality are top-notch. The fat tire design, combined with front and rear suspension, delivers a soft and cushioned ride, even on rough terrain. As a bigger guy, I’m often concerned about the performance of bike brakes, but the hydraulic disk brakes on this eBike are exceptional. They provide reliable stopping power in all conditions, and the use of mineral oil in the hydraulic system ensures smooth operation. The bike’s LCD display is easy to read, providing essential information like power, speed, odometer, Pedal-Assist (PAS) levels, and headlight status at a glance. This feature is especially handy for keeping track of your ride stats and battery life. Speaking of comfort, the seat is well-cushioned, making it comfortable for long rides, and there are plenty of adjustment options for both the seat and handlebars, ensuring a perfect fit for riders of different sizes. Some of the standout specifications include: -Motor Power: 500W (1092W Peak) with 55Nm of torque -Battery: Removable 48V 14ah lithium-ion battery with up to 65 miles range -Fat Tires: 20” x 3” puncture-resistant tires with Slime installed -Hydraulic Brakes: Front and rear with 180mm rotors -7-Geared Drivetrain: Shimano derailleur with thumb-triggered shifter -Safety Lights: Integrated headlamp and taillight powered by the battery -Foldable Design: Both the handlebar stem and mainframe fold for compact storage -One Minute, Tool-Free Assembly: Ready to ride almost straight out of the box With its robust build, safety features, and ease of use, the Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to elevate their biking experience. Whether you’re exploring new trails, commuting, or just enjoying a leisurely ride, this eBike has everything you need to ride with confidence and style.

    Compact + Long Range

UNBOXING: The unboxing experience of the Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 Long Range wasn’t difficult, but did require a bit of time. You will likely need some needle nose pliers to remove the large staples from the top of the box, but once you’re past that, everything else is pretty straightforward. The bike was pretty easy for me to lift up vertically out of the box, even though it arrives folded in the box. Once you have the bike out, there is a ton of foam padding wrapped around the frame of the bike for shipping, so you’ll spend quite a bit of time pulling those off the frame. There are also numerous zip ties with safety warning labels you’ll want to read before removing them with a pair of scissors, as well. Other than that, inside the box is really just the bike, a set of keys, the pre-installed removable battery, and a charger. ASSEMBLY: The first-time assembly was pretty straight forward for me, but I would advise finding the online manual or video tutorial on setup because there were definitely some things I missed. Lectric didn’t include a printed manual in the box, but there were QR codes, and finding the online guides were also easy to find from Lectric’s website. I did need a T5 torx screwdriver to secure the display, and I also needed a T10 torx screwdriver to secure the control pad, since both of these were not tightly secure on arrival. Everyone will have a different preference for where they want to place these, so I’m fine with that, but not everyone will have these screwdrivers handy, which might cause some friction during assembly since they don’t include these drivers in the box. For your first time setup, you’ll need to adjust the seat position and install the handlebar which was very easy while the stem was folded over. After that’s done, the rest of the steps are just folding sequences—secure the stem from folded position, secure the frame from folded position, and secure the pedals from folded position. Do it in reverse to fold right back up. It’s overall pretty easy to do, and once you’ve done it a couple times, it doesn’t take much time at all to fold up—easily less than a minute. BUILD / FEATURES: The bike itself is made of aluminum and weighs in at 64 lbs with the 7lb battery installed— at least according to Lectric. If I lived in an upper story apartment, I probably wouldn’t love carrying this bike up and down some stairs, but it could certainly be folded up and put into a smaller elevator if that’s an option available to you. With that said, it does feel fairly lightweight despite its weight, and maybe that has more to do with its shorter length compared to a lot of other bikes. Lectric also opted to use hydraulic disk brakes which are quite effective. The brake pads may exhibit a bit of noise until reaching a 50-100 mile break-in period, but this is expected. You should also get a professional tune-up after this break-in period, as well. The kickstand feels confident, and keeps the bike more vertically upright, so it doesn’t lean to the left as much as other bikes. One important thing to note is that the key must be inserted and turned in-line parallel to the frame to turn the battery on. Without this, the display will not turn on and you won’t be able to use the electric features of the bike. You will, however, be able to use it as a normal pedal bike. Some may find this quite inconvenient, as there are other bikes that do not require a key to power on the bike. Additionally, there is a backlit LCD display, a twist throttle, a headlight and rear brake lights, as well as a rear cargo rack that you can attach a basket to. You can additionally purchase a front basket attachment, but it won’t fold nearly as well if you use both baskets, so I’d limit it to one basket if you want to fold. RANGE: The battery is rated for 14Ah at 48V which Lectric claims under the Class 3 unlocked mode (meaning up to 28 mph) could yield 65 miles of pedal-assisted use under level 1 PAS. Whereas if you set it to level 5 PAS, you can expect 25 miles of Pedal-Assisted use. Lectric also claims roughly 30 miles of use on just the throttle alone. It’s important to note that the bike peaks at 20 mph on only throttle, so it can only achieve 28 mph with pedal assistance. In practice, I do think this is pretty accurate. Most people will probably not experience 65 miles of pedal-assisted range because the electronic assistance is so low in PAS 1. Generally speaking, I think level 2 and 3 PAS were most comfortable when operating under flat conditions, and hill climbs may need higher PAS levels or throttle-only use. COMFORT: Riding the Lectric XP 3.0, I do think the saddle is a bit too rigid for my liking, but this is going to be a very subjective experience from person to person. With that said, I was able to partake in an hour-long ride without too much discomfort, but I wouldn’t want to go on a longer ride without purchasing a better saddle. However, I do like that the saddle and the stem can be positioned reasonably lower or higher, making it flexible for shorter and taller riders. The handlebar grips are comfortable, and I haven’t personally experienced any discomfort. And since you can adjust the position of the digital controller, you should be able to find a reasonable location that feels comfortable for adjusting your pedal assist levels. CONTROLLER: The controls are like most other controllers. As long as the battery is on, you can hold the power button to turn on the backlit digital display. You can press the [+] or [-] button to increase the pedal assistance, hold the [+] to toggle the headlight, and press the power button to toggle between different metrics on the display. The user manual also explains how you can customize some of the settings including the top speed from 20 mph to 28 mph for a Class 3 e-Bike. While I won’t divulge into all the settings here, I do think it’s worth looking at and customizing some of the settings to your liking, as it can help make for a riding experience that better suits your personal needs. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: The Lectric XP 3.0 is a 7-gear bike, which gives it more versatility compared to some of the cheaper single-gear e-Bikes on the market. If you ever run out of battery, you can still operate it like a normal bike with the benefit of having gears so you can maximize speed against physical effort. Whereas most single-gear e-Bikes would be pretty unpleasant to ride without pedal assistance under more challenging conditions. Folding up the Lectric XP 3.0, I wasn’t able to fit it into the trunk of my 2019 Subaru WRX, but if I had a hatchback model, this would be perfect. However, I could fold the rear passenger seats down and manage to get it through the rear passenger side door, but not without some additional effort. I also had a train commute and found that I could easily fold up the Lectric XP 3.0 into a spot that was often unoccupied. It was more compact than other bikes, and was overall unobtrusive to other passengers on the train. CONCLUSION: Overall the Lectric XP 3.0 Step-Thru Long Range eBike is a winner in my testing. While it could use some improvements in comfort, I do feel as though its folding versatility makes it very appealing for commuters, and given its ability to support rear and front cargo baskets, it becomes even more appealing for those who need to carry some cargo.

I’ve been rv camping for years and for most of those I’ve either had a paddle bike or electric scooter. I’ve seen many people riding electric bikes but didn’t really see the reason in owning one. Until one day I decided to give on a try and see what all the hype was about. I’m so glad I did. A little while ago I took the opportunity to try the Lectric eBikes XP Step-Thru 3.0 Foldable Long-Range eBike. This bike has thoroughly impressed me. Unboxing and putting the XP 3.0 Lectric eBike was very straight forward and no tools were required. It was packaged extremely well and no scuff, dings or any type of damage found on any part of this bike. Really if you have little to no sense of mechanics this bike is still very simple to set up. This in itself is a plus. Once I put it together, I opted to let it charge fully. I took more than an hour before I got the green light on the charger and at this point it was ready to go. My first impression of this bike is that I found it simple to ride. Easy access on and off with the low bar height gives many people a peace of mind when mounting of dismounting the Lectric eBike. All the controls are easily reached and the seating position and handlebar position feels great. Having the 7 gears to choose from makes it a great ebike to start off in any situation. The addition of a rear rack allows for the ability to take gear with you on your adventure. This bike has twist throttle for the electric motor function and you can monitor your speed, distance and battery charge from. Another great feature to me is how easy it is to remove the battery with the provided set of keys. To get the feel for the XP 3.0 I began in pedal mode with no assist. I want to get the feel of its characteristics, how it steers, the use of the gears and its stopping power. I realized quickly that this bike handled beautifully and stopped on a dime utilizing hydraulic brakes. The hydraulic brakes are some of the strongest I’ve ever felt on a bike, EVER! The bike shifts through the gears effortlessly makes it easy to find the right gear whether you are shifting up or down through the gears. Once I felt confident with the bike in manual mode, I decide it was time to go for the assisted mode and man was I totally impressed. This bike will fly! Just a quick note, make sure you turn on the key on the bottom of the frame below the battery or the monitor screen will not switch on. I made the mistake in the beginning, hence why you should always read your manuals. So, I began by pedaling the Lectrc eBike so that I was upright and moving. With the eBike in the first level I twisted the throttle and off I went. Pedaling even at the first level I instantly felt the motor on this bike assisting me forward and as I moved up a level, I could fell the effort that I was exerting going down. Then I hit high gear and the highest level of assist and when I say hold on, you better hold on. I made it to about 25mph and my eyes were watering and I felt that was fast enough for me and I could tell that this eBike had more in it. Getting from point a to point b is all a matter of how fast or slow you want to get there and how much effort you want to put into it. This bike folds up and makes it super simple to take along with you. As a rv camper, I go to many places that have bike trails that go on for miles with many sites to see. So having this bike with me makes it much more enjoyable. I can go much longer than and feel practically no drain at the end of my outing. On a single charge I went a full day of site seeing and even used my eBike to get breakfast, lunch and dinner. On my last trip I went 3 days and only had to charge the XP 3.0 twice and put many miles on it. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to own one. In my opinion this is a great bike at a very practical price to own. You’re able to go further, use less energy and enjoy your day longer with the XP 3.0. I have nothing but praise for this Lectrice Bike and I 100% recommend this ebike. I’m glad that I have this eBike traveling with me and I can honestly say that it has made sightseeing much more enjoyable. Pick one up and you’ll be happy you did.

While I have owned electric scooters in the past, this was my first electric bike. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised and LOVE riding this thing! Pros: - Assembly was fairly straightforward. The bike comes carefully packaged to prevent damage during shipping. One person can complete the assembly, but it doesn't hurt to have a second set of hands. The toughest part was swinging the folded bike out in order to latch the frame together. It can be a little awkward if you don't have decent strength. - Lectric's YouTube video tutorial on this bike was SUPER helpful. If I hadn't watched it, my learning curve would have been much steeper. - My first ride was amazing! Controls were intuitive. I recall that my first electric scooter ride left me feeling very uncertain and unsafe to a degree. But on this electric bike I felt well balanced, in control, and very care-free. The difference was remarkable. - The brakes work very well. I had no concerns about being able to stop gracefully and promptly. - Battery life has been excellent. Since you can limit the use of the motor by pedaling as much as you want/need, how fast the battery is taxed is really up to you. I tend to use PAS 0 (all pedaling) or PAS 1 (lowest motor engagement to ~6mph) on flat surfaces but kick it up to PAS 2 on hills. - The range (up to 65 miles) and max speed (28mph when unlocked) of this bike are fantastic specs. My experience with the battery so far has been excellent and am just now charging it for the first time after a few days of riding. - The display is simple and functional, giving you a readout of your speed, battery life, odometer, PAS level, etc. It's nothing fancy but does all you need it to. - The headlight and taillight work well and side reflectors are, of course, present as well. These are critical for safety. Cons: - No paperwork comes with it so you will have to scan the QR codes that are readily available in order to download the manual. I would have preferred a paper manual where I don't have to zoom in on a pdf on my phone, but I understand the benefit in being able to update manuals if they are digital. - For some people, this bike may be too heavy to tote around. I don't recommend it for anyone that has to take stairs to get to their domicile. While it can be carried by some, you won't want to carry it far. - The brakes have some screeching to them, but that is expected to fade after they are broken in. I like to listen to music when I ride, and when I do, I can barely hear the brakes. - Figuring out how to use the key to turn the battery on (there are 3 different key positions and you can't see what they are since the keyhole is below the frame) was the trickiest thing for me. I would have loved more detail to have been provided on that but I figured it out with trial and error. As I'm now in my late 40s, I don't have the stamina I once did and I love how this bike is giving me the freedom to go places and experience nature again. I no longer need to fear hills and can adventure out more. It's a great feeling.

I was in the market for an electric bike to use for work commute. This e-bike is interesting. It comes in a whole package ready to go, its folded in a box. Assembly was easy. Just have to do the basic inspections like making sure the tires are properly fastened, air pressure on the tires are up to the recommended pressure, brakes work and other safety inspections. The bike does not come with a paper manual, all the instructions are online and in videos. The instructions are pretty basic and easy to understand. To better understand the features on the bike you have to watch other videos. The bike itself rides very well, its a fun ride to work everyday. The manufacturer states the battery charge is good for 65 miles long range. Some of the negatives is that the bike is a bit heavy about 64 lbs. Another is the "foldable" design. It does not have a mechanism or any way of "locking' the folded bike so it can open on you if you are not careful. Another flaw is the key entry to turn the bike on. Its under the bike and hard to find sometimes. Overall, I'm happy with this bike and would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for an ebike.

This is my first step through and my first E-bike. I'm very happy with the bike, it's fun and easy to use. Makes easy work of hills and is comfy for daily use. The lights are good, and the controls are pretty simple once you know them. I've taken this bike on dirt, gravel, pavement, and grass. It's holding up and the wheels and tires are pretty nice, not to thick and handle well. The bike folds up and fits in my car, super nice feature. I can easily recommend this bike to anyone looking for a good general E-Bike.

I’ve been riding the XP 3 electric bike continuously and it has completely transformed my daily commute. This foldable powerhouse combines convenience with impressive performance that makes it worth every penny. The 500W motor (peaking at 850W) provides plenty of punch for tackling hills, and I regularly reach the 28mph top speed on straightaways. Battery life has been excellent—I’m getting about 45 miles per charge with moderate pedal assist, which means I only need to recharge once or twice a week. What really stands out is the bike’s practicality. The folding design lets me easily store it and take it on public transit when needed. The fat tires handle everything from potholes to light trails with surprising comfort, and the included fenders and integrated lights make it ready for all weather conditions. For anyone looking to replace car trips or upgrade their commute, the XP 3 delivers exceptional value. It’s sturdy, reliable, and just plain fun to ride.
