This is a great case for the Samsung Note 9. It has a fine-grain texture to it (not too rough, but still has a grip), and a soft fine felt interior so it's easy on the hands when you have it open. There's a small space in the flap for business cards/credit card/ID, an opening on the back for camera/flash/fingerprint sensor, and small icons on the edge for the volume +/-, and the activation button for Bixby so you can use them when the case is closed. PROS: The feel both inside and out is really nice. It's very form-fitting, so I can put it in my jeans pocket pretty easily. The hard part of the case (where the phone sits in) is a matte hard rubber feel, so when your fingers hold the phone in use, there's a good tactile feel to it. If you have a wireless charging base from the Note 5, your Note 9 will charge fine right through this case. VERY COOL: When you close the case, the time actually lights up on the front of this case. There are real LEDs just below the surface that come on to show the time. Then after a few seconds, fade away. The LEDs do more however. Here is a list of everything I've found: - Show the time - Show battery % when charger is connected/disconnected - Show when you get a text - Show when you close the case and still have an unread text - Show when you're getting a phone call > Including a different icon when there's no caller ID - Show when you close the case and still have a missed call - Show when a timer is finished (There's supposed to be more, but I haven't seen them. [See attached image.] Perhaps because I'm not using all Samsung apps.) EVEN COOLER: When you're getting a call, the LED area will display an arrow to the right with green lights, and an arrow to the left with red lights. You can literally swipe the front of the case to accept or reject the call. EVEN COOLER THAN THAT: There is an app that allows you to change the icon that displays depending on who is calling you. (I have my wife set to a bunny because she loves rabbits.) AND, you can create your OWN by using the built-in editor. (Unfortunately, it only works for phone calls -- not texts. :( [[SAMSUNG: PLEASE MAKE THAT!]] CONS: Because it has a front cover, taking photos or videos is a little clumsy. Obviously, you can't have the case all the way open (or the flap will cover the camera) so you end up having the front cover half-open, which makes portrait shots (when you hold the phone normally) very difficult. Landscape shots (when you hold the phone sideways) are much easier, but again, not ideal. Also, it's a bit on the pricey side, but then you are getting those super-cool LED pop-ups. That's it for the review. See below only for info you probably can't use if you're an everyday user. --------------------- OKAY... As a major tech geek, I immediately wanted to know how I could modify or use the case display for my own needs, such as displaying the time left on a timer, or the name of the person calling me. So I did some research, and it turns out there are a lot more LEDs than just the ones being used. And, it seems there are multiple touch-sensitive areas as well (not just at the top). But the idea of being able to write code to fully utilize the display is rather hard to resist! :)

This phone wallet keeps my phone safe and will Tell me what time it is and if I have any messages or mail, Fantastic! !

I was actually trying to find the clear view case and I accidentally bought this one first. It does have this fabric on the front and back that feels really good in the hand. The retro LEDs on the front are kind of cool for controlling music but are pretty limited in functionality. At least I can put my debit card that I use most often in this case.

You can do almost everything with this cover and you don’t have to open it up. You can see the time, answer calls, see when you have messages, turn the volume up and down all while the cover is closed.

This case is great for smasung note 9. It protects very well..fits perfect..very slim and lightweight,smooth feel.love the display of clock on front and volume for music in side of case,the color matchs perfect my phone. A bit expensive but very well bulit will last awhile and its not bulky,which i like..

This is not a bad case. The case has an LED that lights up for the time, also will light up for incoming calls. You can even answer it using the swipe from the cover. Opening the case reveals a pocket for your DL and a credit card. You could put more credit cards in the pocket, but this will cause the pocket to not only stretch, but the case will not close fully if you overload the pocket. As far as protection from dropping, the corners are protected along with the back of the phone. the only concern would be if the "flap" opens during the fall and the phone lands on the front screen. This could be protected by also purchasing a heavy duty screen protector. Overall, this is a good case. One thing I do not like is I had to remove the case to wireless charge as the slightest misalignment wont charge the phone.

After my Note9 was stolen, I needed a new case for my replacement and this was the only one I could find in the mass of phone cases at Best Buy. The sales person offered to take it out of the box to show me and I was wowed the instant he put it on my phone. It looks great, the LED cover is sleek and modern looking. It has total phone protection. The screen protector I had on the previous phone cracked within days. This cover should be good for the life of the phone. I really enjoy the programmable notification indicators. I have already made quite a few personalized LED icons. Bonus, you can answer your phone without opening the cover. LOVE IT!

I like the idea that you can see the LED lights that show up on the front cover. I have generally not been a fan of these cases in the past because I like to see the Always On Display on the phone and this obviously limits that. However, being able to have 1 or possibly 2 card in the front slot is a nice touch. The one complaint that I have about the phone is that when you are trying to do wireless charging and you click the power button to see the time or how much battery percentage, it pauses the wireless charging to turn on the case's LED lights, then charging resumes when the lights turn back off. I also wish there was some sort of way to keep the flap folded back without having the fear of it flying back open. It also obviously blocks the camera when open which makes it difficult to take pictures. But overall, the construction and features are cool.

Overall I really like the LED Cover for the Note 9. It's a little pricey compared to many other cases, and definitely isn't as rugged, but for someone who generally never drops their phone this case provides the protection I'm looking for, mainly cover the screen when in a pocket. The interactive features of answering/rejecting calls or reminders without needing to open the case is very convenient. The case also doesn't add a lot of bulk, and looks nice on the phone, very clean and professional looking.

This case is pricey but you get what you pay for. The display is very convenient and tells you about missed calls on messages. You can even answer calls with the case closed by swiping the led indicator pad. It also has a nice gripy feel to it. The design helps keep your phone slim as well as protected from scratches in your pocket.

I love this case! the features are awesome, the grip makes it easy to keep in my hand. The display is clear and easy to read. Being able to accept or decline a call from without opening is awesome. Overall I am very pleased with the case and would highly recommend it. Now the negatives: 1) The card holder will only hold at max two cards. Not bad, but I went from a wallet case back to this one and it is a minor set back. Plenty if you plan to go out on the town, your ID and one card. 2) when you have the case open and folded back for a while it won't close flush all the way after. Not a big deal, I find that if you set it face down when closed and let the weight of the phone keep it shut it is back to normal in no time. That is seriously the only issues I have had with the case, and they aren't even issues, just small gripes. Stop reading this and go get one. Are you still here? Why, if you need a case for your Note 9, and don't need a full on wallet this is the one for you. Tell them I sent you at check out, there isn't a discount, but they should make a weird face.

Everyone that has seen it wants my Samsung cover for my new Note9....... Viewable information without opening the cover is the best... it fits the oversized phone perfectly since it is made by Samsung. Thick enough to protect, thin for a usable feel with function. You should advertise this more . I was lucky to find it........

The display on the cover is awesome and it's very slim and stylish. It also provide extra cover for your screen and has a card slip inside the flip cover! The only downside it is very pricey, but it is very reliable being it is a Samsung case.

I like this case as it gives that 'future' look to my phone. The LED lights up when text/calls come thru. You do not even have to open the case to answer a call as you can just swipe the LED panel. Case provides good protection from a fall, however, since it is a wallet style case, the cover can open easily and there expose the screen. If you are a dropper or accident prone and want this case, I would recommend getting the screen protector that is shatter proof. There is a pocket in the case to put your DL and/or a few credit cards, but I choose not to put more than 1 item in there because the pocket will expand and you can lose things if you do not keep the same amount in there. I do feel that the price is steep for this cover. I got it on sale and used best buy reward points. Personally, I feel that $50 or more is not worth it. I give this value an average if you are paying $50 or more.

I bought this case because I was waiting on the actual one I wanted to ship to the house and I didn't want to use my new Note 9 without one. This case is very sleek and stylish. I constantly get compliments on it. I own the blue one with a blue Note 9 and the colors go together so we'll. I love the led on the front. You can assign pre-loaded animations for specific apps or design your own. I like the extra credit card slot in the front. I'll keep an ID in there and use my phone with Samsung Pay. Some complaint I have is sometimes it awkward to take a picture so it takes time to learn how to hold it. You can't use it as a kickstand on slick surfaces, but on a pillow or bed it works well. It feels awkward sometimes using with one hand due to it being folded behind the phone when open. Overall I would recommend this case to any owner of a Note 9. It protects the phone while looking really sharp doing it.

"Not recommend to a friend - ??" That response is entirely due to the lack of a Positive Closure for the top cover, which leaves the face of the phone (that is: the Screen) exposed if the phone is dropped. Alas, this is a common flaw for many such cases designed for Curved Screen phones... The Samsung LED wallet cover offers a low-res LED readout that falls somewhere between Useful & Gimmick, depending on one's point-of-view. FWIW, do like the ability to Customize the Incoming Call graphics, which provides some indication of WHO is calling with the cover closed. Have less use for the Time and Battery Level displays, which only appear upon closing the cover - and then disappear quickly after doing so. "Gimmick" aside, the LED Wallet Cover is a decent case, with a couple of notable flaws: Pros: Provides a nice fit, with accurate cut-outs & printed symbols to help locate Volume and "Bixby" buttons (a waste). As a "flip" case, the cover closes over the screen, a format I favor. The cover is stiff enough to think it would provide protection for the screen against scratches & minor impacts (but not Drops - see "Cons"). The case material has a slightly textured surface, with a pattern of subtle stripes. The material does not show fingerprints, and provides a nicer Grip than the bare phone - but is neither as Soft nor Slip-resistant as a soft-touch case. Cons: The front cover lacks any sort of Clasp (or magnet) and is More Likely to be Open than closed should the phone be dropped. This flaw appears to be related to the CURVED screens on newer phones, as many wallet cases for the Note 8 lack a positive closure (including the Note 8 versions of the cases used on a Note 2 and a Note 4 - both of which HAD closures for those devices), while many Reviews for cases With Magnetic closures complain about interference with the outer edge of the screen. The lower edge of the case wraps around both lower corners of the phone body, but leaves the bulk of that lower edge open. Even so, the protective bumper on the lower right corner makes removing the S-Pen awkward, and I have dropped the pen several times trying to remove it too quickly. Presumably this will become more "natural" with time. Minor Issues that basically fall into "the nature of the beast": It's a Flip Case, which means the Cover can get in the way at times - notably when using the camera. There is also the question about How Many Time the spine can be flexed before it cracks. Although listed as a "wallet" case, the storage slot provided is only suitable for a single business card. You can squeeze a credit card into the slot, but it seems likely the edge would bounce against the screen. After nearly 2 months of usage, this case has not proven irritating enough to replace (yet...), and it shows no signs of Early Failure / Excess Wear. Will still take a peek at alternatives from time to time in hopes of finding a (real...) leather case with a suitable clasp. Summary: A decent enough (side-) flip case if bought at a "bargain" price, with the LED cover readout providing a nice "conversation piece" when desired.

So I purchased this item because it was an open box item and I wanted a decent case for my Note 9.. Well, I wasn't aware of some of the convenience features this device has.. Not only when you close the folio over the phone will it show you the current time, but when you get a call you can see who's calling and answer the call right from the case itself without having to open it to get to the phone itself... You can also control your music and see what the charging status is along with interacting with Bixby... Very nice case, high quality case, and nice features earns a 5 star rating in my book.. If you like a folio case for your phone, then this is definitely the case to take a look at...

This LED Wallet Cover is similar to the Samsung folder I used on my Note8. That folder too was very good but the front cover was a fingerprint magnet. The LED cover that has a pocket for credit cards, is covered with a uniform texture front & back so no prints. Also, the LEDs visible on the front cover display time & notifications. The cover allows you to reject calls and has music control functions all without even opening the shell. My old case was great at protecting my phone but this LED Wallet Cover does that and alot more. I like mine, you will like yours too.

Is well worth the $64. It's not bulky, fits well in and out of my pocket. Protects my phone 100%. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a note 9. The LED is awesome!
