Customers are saying
Customers love the Legion Pro 5i 16" Gaming Laptop's performance, graphics, and ample RAM and storage. Many appreciate the display and find the price reasonable for the specifications. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and the fan noise and heat generation are potential drawbacks for certain users. The weight may also be a concern for those who need a highly portable laptop.

Stamp of Approval!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I bought this laptop for 3D modeling, digital drawing, and making music, it does all of that and then some. The 2TB was definitely an upgrade from my 1tb ssd I installed in my old Lenovo y500. I don’t game but I don’t doubt the capabilities of this bad boy!! The pros for me are processing power, storage, memory, and the look of the laptop is cool. Cons are it does get kinda loud especially if I forget to turn it off. My advice is you should definitely buy!

Great luggable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a 'less portable' station, and it has worked well in that role. I replace my old desktop and laptop, and there are a few things that I really like about this model. The first is the keyboard is as close to a traditional layout on the keyboard as I've seen on a recent laptop. It has a full size inverted T, and a 10key with a very traditional layout. All of the important ports are at the back of the machine, allowing for a very efficient layout. I appreciate the space afforded with the 1600p display. It performs very well, and while it is loud under load, the sound lacks the grating/piercing pitches of other machines I've used. On the other hand, I have found the wifi chipset to be lacking, with random drops and stutters when pulling down a lot of data- it has a full size ethernet port and I would recommend using it for large transfers. Expected with a machine for this size, but it is neither light nor compact, and the battery life is so-so. I appreciate that it has USC-PD as an option, but it can not pull the wattage needed to sustain heavy load from the port. Overall, the designers made mostly the same tradeoffs I would choose. For linux users, be aware that the device is only mostly supported, via open source projects.

solid laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.works perfectly and specs are decent. real world performance seems to be a little lacking compared to reviews and hardware specs, but is good enough for the price point. my only complaints are battery life. 1hr even without the video card engaged. the other issue is under load the fans are LOUD, you can hear them from across the room.

Posted .Hi mharrell, thanks for choosing Lenovo! If you want take it step further to save battery past switching off the dGPU, you could take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even more power conservation. We're thrilled to hear that Legion Pro 5i works perfectly for you, and we really appreciate you sharing your experience and feedback with us.

Good for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good Laptop. But dont expect from battery to last long. Usually the fan would come on and off in auto mode. Even if you run word or excel. Graphic in game will crash if the graphic mode is in normal. It must be on auto or on gaming mode. But compare to its price and specifications it worth it.

Great Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast and very stable laptop. To reinstall Windows without the Lenovo software, I had to slipstream some motherboard drivers into the install USB to make the reinstall work without Lenovo's media. The fan can be a little noisy, but overall, this is an excellent laptop

Great laptop at a good price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has everything I wanted in my pc at a fraction of the price I was researching with other brands. The fans do make a lot of noise when it gets hot, but it has only done that while playing a new game with overheating issues at max settings. I’ve had zero issues with this so far.
