Perfect for School/College
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought a Microsoft Surface Laptop 2, but it ended up messing up within the first day I used it, only a few hours after I bought it. So I took it back, exchanged it for another, and that one worked for about a day. Then I started having problems the next day, similar to the problems I had with the first one. Took it back and decided to switch brands. I had help from a store employee and that’s how I came to own this piece of treasure. It is the best laptop I've used in in years. It has a super fast start up and shut down thanks to Windows 10 OS. The processer makes the computer pretty fast overall while running multiple programs. I use it for school work mostly, but I’ll occasionally play games and watch movies/tv shows on it, too (sometimes while I am using it for homework). The battery life lasts pretty long, gets used up faster while playing games but it lasts for hours while I’m doing homework. Its tablet mode is pretty cool, though I haven’t played with that feature much yet. This laptop still has a lot for me to discover on it, but all in all, it is THE BEST laptop I have purchased in 5 years. If I had to change anything on it, it would just be the sound. I'd like for the volume to reach louder levels, but its good loud enough to hear in general. I would definitely recommend this laptop for multitasking, school use, movie/tv/music streaming, and light gaming (since I haven’t done any hardcore gaming on it…yet).

Great laptop for college students!

I’m a college student, so the i5 helps me search the internet quickly for whatever I need. I like that it can flip around to a touchscreen tablet so I can read my notes on Word or an article from the web. Great product!! My only negative comment is that there is a tiny piece that popped off the laptop a few weeks after I got it. It’s not cheaply made, but it just popped off, and I need to figure out how to put it back on.

She absolutely loves it. Makes everything easier with three options for the screen. She uses a pen, mouse, and her finger. All in all i would recommend this product.

WI-FI DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WHEN MY TWO OTHER COMPUTERS, THREE iPADS AND THREE iPHONES WORKING PERFECTLY. PLUS, WHEN I CONNECTED THIS UNIT TO ETHERNET WITH ADAPTER ITS STILL LOOSING CONNECTION EVERY HOUR. COMCAST TECHNICIANS CHECKED AND CHANGED ALL WIRES IN AND OUT OF MY HOUSE, CHANGED ROUTER FOR LAST MODEL AND REPORTED ME THE CONNECTION IS PERFECT WITH NO ANY ISSUES. LAPTOP STILL DOES NOT WORKING PROPERLY. UNFORTUNATELY MY 15 DAYS RETURN TIME PAST, WHEN I TRY TO WORK AND FIND A PROBLEM WITH INTERNET PROVIDER COMCAST AND NOW I RELEASED: I PAID $700 FOR PAPER WEIGHT, NOT A COMPUTER. GARBAGE!

Realtek Wireless Adapter Issue

I am constantly experiencing dropped Wi-Fi because of it. This is a known problem with this laptop. It is not Windows, It is the wireless adapter. Too bad I am over my 30 days and cannot return this laptop :(

This will correct the WiFi connectivity issue that is currently being found within Lenovo models with the RealTek 8822BE WiFi Card.

Great laptop for students!

I was looking at a few different models which were more expensive, but the salesperson recommended this one and I'm so glad he did! It's very different from the older laptops I am accustomed to, they've really improved over the years! The battery lasts at least 8 hours, longer if I'm not playing music or videos on it. The speed is also a plus. It's very lightweight and thin. There is a fingerprint lock, which I love, a touchscreen and it can also be a tablet, if I so choose. Even the other people I live with, who are all literally devoted to Apple products, like this windows based computer!

Wonderful product for a reasonable price

Nearly all aspects are in working order; I've never had problems with it freezing up or being slow (it's very fast!); the display looks great, and the audio sounds alright. I don't use the touch screen much but have no problems with it when I do. I use it for school work (Comp Sci) and to draw (Paint Tool SAI) and performance is great. I play video games somewhat, but nothing rigorous and it does just fine. I had gotten this product with a student discount and I really believe I got my money's worth. Some concerns are that the power button does not press as easily as when I first got it; I honestly have to press pretty hard, and it makes me nervous that it may actually break or stop working in the near future. The laptop's surface also got scuffed up pretty easily, especially on the bottom. The fingerprint reader unfortunately does not work reliably and I've long since given up on trying to utilize it. Battery life does seem short; I'm almost always within the vicinity of an outlet. It seems I can't get more than about five hours of constant schoolwork before it gets low. Sadly I am passing off the product to a family member, as it's more cumbersome than I'd like (though it is my fault for choosing this size and not the smaller model). If that's not a concern I genuinely recommend this product.

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a more updated computer I was told by an employee it was a great model I was nervous as I'm old school and I don't like not having media and DVD drive but trade off being that I could actually draw on screen and it flips like a tablet It's lightweight portable charges quickly The red flag was this model had some issues with staying on WiFi I did a few updates before that yes it kept hopping off WiFi with update it seems to behave I haven't used all the features but will soon

Good size and specs for students that should handle everything you throw at it. Enough memory for all my schoolwork, pictures, movies, games, and more! Loved the touch screen and 2 in 1 capability good for taking electronic notes or just for fun! Had enough ports for me although sometimes I wish I just had one more USB but ohh well! Durable metal construction and solid battery life for on the go use. Only issue I had so far was a charging issue but one call to Lenovo support and I was all fixed without spending extra or sending my computer away for repairs. Just something funky with a recent update I had. Overall great computer for the price I got it at on sale however if you're looking for a gaming set keep looking though because while this will handle most simple games it doesn't have a good graphics card for most new games.
