Fridge with a view
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like my new LG refrigerator. The size is perfect. I love the fingerprint resistant stainless steel. It is so much easier to keep up. Also having two ice makers is wonderful. Never have to worry about running out of ice. The door in door is very handy and a great feature. I also like how quiet it is.

Beautiful!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just trashed my 7 year old Samsung French door model. A complete pace of junk, everything was freezing up! Picked LG cause of the positive reviews & Consumer Reports Mag. I'm impress with how quiet it runs along with no finger prints left on the SS! They had to take the doors off to get it into the house. Installer had no idea how to disconnect the water line from the door so he cut it! Had to go purchase a connector to reconnect the cut line. The connection for the water line going into the fridge is set up for a plastic line, it needs to be very flexible! Accesses to the glass door, the two top bins has a 3 inch high lip. It's too high, we have issues getting items in it like a pickle/olive jar. The one main dislike is I set the temperature on the fridge door display for 34 degrees. Though it only goes down to 38 degrees! It took a full two days to get the fridge down to a stable 38 degrees ( middle of summer 95 outside). Suggestion freeze a couple a 12 ounce water bottles day before fridge is to be delivered, to help pull down the temperature.

Love this fridge!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this refrigerator! The door in door is very handy, but I still accidentally pull the whole thing open when I forget! Fingerprints clean up easily. One drawback - the split shelf tends to drop a notch when heavy items are put in it. Pops back in place though. Roomy! The door in door will be handy for the grandkids!

LG - 27.5 Cu Ft. InstaView Door in Door Smart Frid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this fridge as an open box and it came with zero issues. It was in prestige condition but unfortunately we weren't fans of the freezer being in the bottom and opted for a side-by-side refrigerator. However this fridge is very spacious, lights up well, has two separate sections where it makes ice (you definitely won't run out), and the instaview door is amazing!!! I wish my current fridge had that option as well but it doesn't. Due to opting for an open box, this fridge came with a huge discount. If anyone is looking into buying this fridge I definitely recommend it.

Love my new refrigerator.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Refrigerator has been great. Love the two separate ice makers. The top one is small because it is in the door but the extra space you get in the main area of refrigerator makes up the difference. We use sport bottles for our daily water consumption and they fit under the water dispenser without tipped by them. Thought the second door was just an added feature but have used it more than thought we would. Our new refrigerator is great! Highly recommend it.

Appears to be a great fridg
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Existing refrigerator started leaking water. So decision to repair or replace sent us looking. Had never tried an LG product. The 28cuft provided more storage than our current and had dual ice makers. So we purchased. The door in door was also new to us. Will have to say, I am a fan. Very easy and convenient to store your routine quick grab item, without opening the full door. It is great. But be advised, if you have a wine stopper in your bottle, it may not fit with all shelves in place...Doesn't make much sense. Also, vegetable/deli drawer on right side cannot open fully without opened for full drawer access to right drawer. Again, doesn't make much sense to me. Wi-Fi is cute for adjusting temp regardless where you are. However, you cannot monitor the temp using Wi-Fi. A final does not make much sense. Overall appears to be a good product and happy with the purchase. Geek Squad installed and removed old fridge. Hopefully they will improved on delivery scheduling, value on customer time, and communication...on this they fell way short.

Love my new fridge!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this fridge to replace a very old side by side that was freezing our veggies! Of course it was during the covid stay at home order. But I found this fridge at a discount and the size fit the opening we had. The size chart is true to size. The only problem we had was that we thought the freezer drawer ice maker was a craft ice ball maker and it’s not. The ice maker just makes a little bigger ice than what is made in the refrigerator door. We think this will actually be a good thing because it will be more useful than craft ice balls. I was worried that we wouldn’t have enough ice in the door for us (family of 3 adults who use a lot of ice) but we haven’t run out of ice in the door yet. And like I said there is ice in the freezer also. I didn’t know if I would like the window in the door (I don’t stock a tidy fridge) but the tint on the door is dark and really doesn’t show the entire contents of the fridge. I must say I LOVE the door in door! I didn’t think I would, but it is so nice to grab the milk or other items quickly. Things I’m not thrilled about....the door on the right doesn’t swing open fully. I would think it would open fully to get into the fridge but it ends up swinging back or stopping suddenly because I’m expecting it to go farther. I don’t know if I just need to get used to that or if it will continue to bother me. I’m not really sure why it does it (nothing is in the way stopping it either, it is the design). Also I think it would have been nicer if the two smaller drawers would open with just one side of the doors open. You HAVE to open both doors to pull open the small drawers. The freezer drawer is very big and holds a lot of stuff! I like that there is a temp setting for the wide skinny drawer to be used for different items. Our old fridge had a veggie/fruit drawer, a raw meat drawer that could be colder and a deli/cheese drawer. It was hard to decide what drawer would be what. The two small drawers are veggie and fruit. The bottom skinny one can be set temp wise for meat/deli/produce. The control panel on the front has some issues, mostly with trying to change the water/ice buttons in the dark. We accidentally hit the buttons to make the freezer colder by accident. But when we tried to put the lock on the panel it locked the water/ice dispenser too. I can see that being good if you have small children that would push the button and empty your ice out or flood the floor with water, but we just wanted to lock the other buttons. Also you can’t operate the water/ice in the door and open the doors. Not a biggie but it stopped me when my husband opened the other side to get something out. Overall I love it!

love the Fingerprint resistant stainless steel
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a lot of discussion about who had to clean our previous stainless steel fridge. This one is truly fingerprint resistant. Our previous unit had two evaporators and leaked condensate into the bottom of the refrigerator compartment which turned to ice since it was right up against the freezer. This one keeps the temperature constant in the refrigerator section without the complication of a second evaporator. So far we like the door in door feature. There has only been one problem in that the right door does not open all the way and gets in the way of the deli drawer. I need to get a serviceman out to fix it.

Great Fridge!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this fridge. So much room. I was worried about the ice maker in the door making enough ice but no issue there. Put it on ice plus and it makes a ton of ice. I haven't even had to go into the tray of the second ice maker yet. That one is full as well. I love the door-in-door feature. It's fabulous. The only negative is the left door is heavy and slams shut. So have to be careful to close slowly. I'm sure that from the ice maker in the door. Got this fridge because of a return on a lemon of a Samsung fridge. Could not be happier. I just hope I still feel the same after a few years.

Spacious & convenient; could use some upgrades
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good product. The see thru door and quick access is convenient. The ice crusher works well and quickly. The compact ice maker adds more storage room including multiple small item shelves on the left hand door. A few items could be improved. Movable dividers for the shelves on the left hand door would help stabilize stored items when the door is opened. The lip of the top bin on the see thru door is too high making it hard to reach a stick of butter or other low items stored in the bin. The retractable shelf on the right side is a good feature allowing for tall items but the shelf is prone to moving accidently when not retracted, upsetting items stored on top. It could use a locking latch. The "glide n serve" drawer is nice but both French doors must be opened to gain access.

Perfect for us
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this refrigerator. It has all the features I wanted and I was able to purchase it on sale for a decent price. I really wanted the "door in a door" feature as I had this on a previous fridge and feel that this saved opening the whole door MANY times a day. My only complaint is that the top shelf of the "door in a door" is really small and a bit awkward to get thing in, but I have found some small items that fit up there ok. I did not want a fridge withe the extra beverage drawer between the fridge and freezer. I had this before and felt it was wasted space for us-preferred to have this space incorporated into the actual fridge area. The capacity of this fridge for the space it occupies is great. it fits well in my existing space and gives me a large fridge for lots of storage space. My husband wanted the door ice and water dispenser and that seems to work fine. When the ice melt in my drink it leaves a bit of an off or plastic taste. I'm hoping this will dissipate over time. I like the flexibility of the larger ice maker in the freezer that can be turned off if you want the extra space for freezer items. I anticipate that I will turn that off as we don't use all that much ice. But I can turn it on and make a supply if I am having a dinner guests or other needs.

LG 28CF Refrigerator is great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had an old refrigerator with a small door that we loved. This new refrigerator is great. The door is so convenient. Everything I need is in the door. My wife has the remainder organized to her liking. It is quiet to the point I didn't think it was running. The only negative is that the temp readings on the door are target readings not actual temperatures. I would recommend this refrigerator to a friend

Great price for the ice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve compared a lot of refrigerators and elected to give this one a try. I had a Samsung which I really liked until the ice maker started freezing up. Apparently there’s an engineering flaw with Samsung. So being frustrated by not being able to make ice in the greater South West, I needed a fridge that would give me plenty of ice. This one has two ice makers, one in the door and one in the lower freezer. The ice maker is in the door, so it doesn’t take up room in the fridge. It has plenty of space for your favorite snacks in the pull out drawer in the fridge, and, it has a pull out drawer in the freezer. It has the see thru door so you can knock on the door and the light comes on. You don’t have to open the door and waste energy to see inside. It’s nice and cold as well. This model was on sale which made even more appealing. I definitely would recommend this model to anyone looking for a new, modern and beautiful looking fridge.

Excellent Fridge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We absolutely love this fridge. It's much bigger inside than I thought it would be, and we always have plenty of space in it. The dual ice makers are my favourite feature! I always have plenty of ice on hand. The light on the door when you knock is cool, but I haven't found it extremely useful. I love the door though. I use that feature all the time. Definitely a good buy do far!

Much better than I expected.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this refrigerator a year now. Bought it in June 2019, had it delivered and installed after our previous refrigerator died. It fit in the same hole in the cabinetry, and it's quite a bit roomier than the old one. The door-in-door compartment is great to have, and the freezer is much bigger than it appears. I also love having ice and water on the door.

Great fridge although one design flaw
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We really love this fridge. Has a ton of room, makes a ton of ice, and the door in door is used several times a day. The only thing I dislike is the bottom meat/cheese drawer. Drawer spans the width of the fridge so you have to open both main doors to access it. This counters the efficiency of the door in door, they should have made it two separate drawers. Everything else is fantastic though.

It is early but, so far, the unit is awesome
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The revised in-door ice/water dispenser is WAY better than the previous model. Also, a huge plus over lots of other models is dual ice maker; 1 in the door and another in the bottom freezer. This virtually a MUST since the in-door ice reservoir is rather small. One can easily use up all the ice, especially if you entertain at all. Having the secondary larger ice maker in the bottom is fantastic. We very much like the space and availability of storage options with this French door unit. We don’t really like that the unit has a “stainless steel look” but is NOT stainless steel. We accepted it going in but still would have preferred true stainless versus faux stainless. I’m giving it top marks for quality so far BUT have only owned it a couple of weeks.
