Many features that I am not sure I will need, but they are there for sure. I like that it is about a cubic foot bigger than my 25 year old model, yet it is about the same footprint. I went back to a top loader. I got tired of seeing the black marks on the gasket of my old unit and constantly having to check to see if the door had been accidentally bumped shut. I had forgotten about reaching over the front of the machine to grab a sock or pair of underwear from the bottom so I keep a grabber handy. I have not used the grabber yet and also have not bruised any ribs, but it is a big deep stainless steel tub so I am being careful. I was able to easily wash a thick and heavy full sized comforter as well as smaller and normal loads. It weighs everything when you select your cycle, close the lid and press start. I liked having a flat surface to hold my detergent, dryer sheets etc on, so I bought a narrow tiered cart that fits between the washer and matching LG dryer, and that works for me in lieu of the flat surface on my old front loader. My washer and matching dryer fits in an alcove, so I had to be mindful of the space. With the dryer needing to be on the left, I was able to have them reverse the door for free with the plan I bought. Install was free as well. My hookups are on the opposite side than most machines are set up for. It is easy to transfer the clothing from the LG washer to the LG dryer, because the dryer door opens two ways, to the side and also down. I like the pleasant alert chimes that these machines make. I hope to get many years out of this pair. In 25 years of my Maytag washer, I had to have the washer’s circuit board replaced one time. I am hoping this washer is as problem free. In my photos you see a hole that needs patching. We needed to replace the shut off valve behind the washer, in fact Best Buy had to leave the machine and complete the install after I hired a plumber. The old valve would not shut the water off completely. Under my protection plan Best Buy rescheduled quickly and did not charge for a second trip. The steam feature hose from the dryer connects there as well. Also, my dryer is gas. The original owners had an electric dryer so there is a 220 outlet not being used in the pictures.

Very quiet machine, cleans my clothes perfectly, it’s not too deep but has amazing capacity, and the sanitization feature is very convenient as well. The app features are also very helpful in keeping up with machine cleaning and maintenance. Best washer I’ve ever had

Ive only had this for less then two weeks. I absolutely love it. Prior to purchasing I was going back and forth from Samsung and LG. I read so many reviews on both. I just decided on LG newst 7900 series model. I have washed several loads just to wash. Speed was is just that about 30 mins. With this wash you need very little detergent because it gives you very little water. Its for a few items. Ive used normal wash, deep wash, bedding, towels etc. you have to get to know the wash options. The bad reviews I say they are doing something wrong. Plus I dont care how big the tub is I never fill mine up with a lot of clothes. To me no washer should. Also, ive called LG a million times to just ask questions. They to have great customer service. I even got to speak to someone via live video and they went over the wash options with me and answered all my questions. Ny clothes have never felt so clean. I was very happy after washing. Love the little tone it plays when you are done washing. LG has a warranty promotion going on, if you link your washer to LG Thinq app they will give you an extra year warranty for free. Same with dryer. I could go on and on about the washer. On to the dryer. The dryer dries really fast. Love it. It also plays a sound when clothes are done. Love how the dryer door opens downward half way and outward. Thinq app if you link your washer to your dryer, its called smart pairing. When yiu are done washing, then load your clothes in the dryer turn on dryer you will hear the small tones play and your dryer is already set on the options needed for drying. No need to select any options on dryer because the was will tell the dryer what settings was used on washer. Thinq app is the best has so much information on it. Diagnosis any washer or dryer issyes, tells you when to clean washer or clean filters. Per LG you should only use HE laundry detergent and a little goes a long way. When using HE you wont see bubbles unless you used way to much. Thats the point of HE. But for all who gave bad reviews, i say needs to learn their washer and how impeller machines work. No regrets. Love my LG 7900 series set. One last thing looking at the black steel in the store didnt look like black steel until I got it hone. In the store it looked like a copper/brown color. I love this washing machine. It washes all my clothes, bedding, towels, baby clothes and dog blankets thoroughly. Our clothes have never smelled or been so clean. Love the sanitary and allergen settings. It’s very quiet as well. Cuts down my laundry time due to its extra large capacity. Best purchased I have ever made!!

Anytime I’m going to spend $500 or more on an item that I expect to last a long time and that I’m going to use very very frequently, I do a lot of research. We have five kiddos and our washing machine runs daily. I researched washing machines for about a week before finally deciding on this one. For the price point and what it does, I was confident this was the right fit. I’ve now had it for two months and it has been great the whole time. It took us a little while to figure out all the different modes because it has about 14 different options for wash cycles, but other than that learning curve, it has been awesome. It’s giant by the way, but just what I was expecting. We wanted be able to do a ton of laundry at once when need be, and this beast handles it. Definitely recommend.

Has a quiet wash. Large capacity tub. All the settings one could hope to have in a home appliance. Exceptional cleaning. We've been very happy with our new washer and it's performance.

This washer is huge inside. It looks beautiful, I got the stainless black. I can fit a king size comforter very easily. It doesn't take long to wash, cleans thoroughly. I am very pleased with this washer. I easily connected it to the LG thinkQ app and it can be monitored with the app, i love getting the notification when it's done.

Bought this to replace a 5-year-old Maytag front loader that was terrible from day one. I forgot what it was like to have truly clean clothes! This has everything...you can deep fill if you want immersion but the normal wash works very well and takes less than an hour for a large laundry-basket-sized load. The smart features are nice and it was easy to connect to wifi and download a diffwrent cycle. I havent tried a larger quilt or blanket yet so time will tell.

Very attractive unit. I fell in love with it as soon as it was installed. I've had my unit for 10 months now. I decided on LG because I previously purchased a LG refrigerator and dishwasher and was very pleased with them. There are many features I have not used yet. The washer has a big deep stainless-steel tub. I am 5' 4" and use a small step stool to reach for sock at the bottom of the tub. The tub was able to washer a large comforter. I had to adjust my shelving on the wall to accommodate for the tall lid on the washer. I needed to replace the hoses on the back of the unit. Best Buy left the units and completed the install after the plumber came and placed some hose. Under my protection agreement Best Buy rescheduled me quickly and did not charge for a second trip. The plumber stated this was something the installer should have been able to handle. The unit does show fingerprints.

I had an older version of LG's top loading steam washer that I loved. Unfortunately, it died after a few years due to a small part that could not be changed. Therefore, when I found myself in a new home, I was excited to repurchase LG's top of the line top loading washer with matching dryer. These are incredible machines. The quality of the mechanical components seem high. The sounds the washer make exude quality. There are a myriad of settings on this washer. One of the unique settings in this top loading washer segment is the Sanitary cycle. As long as your hot water inlet is 120 degrees to start out, this cycle (which takes around 2.5 hours), heats the water for more than a hour before it actually begins washing. This allows it to sanitize. Other washers that have settings such as "sanitize with oxi," I don't believe you can trust. Here, you know, since the washer has a heater built into it, that it is using heat to kill germs. I love this feature. I don't use the steam very often, since I'm more worried about the sanitize function, which doesn't use steam (unless you add it to the cycle), but it's still the heating element for the stream, which makes the sanitize cycle possible. The app is really great too. You can remote start the washer from the app, if you plan ahead and pre load it and select remote start on the control panel. You can also download additional cycles in the app. The only feature I miss from the older model is a "program" button for saving your favorite cycle combination. In my opinion, there is not a better top loading washer on the planet, recommended. Installation by Best Buy was also ok, but they left it with a couple scratches in the top lid, which is why I docked a star. It's a lot of money, to be slightly flawed.

Very happy, much larger capacity than I expected. I was looking for a washer big enough to wash our oversized king comforter and it fit and then some. The washer and dryer are both very quiet. I have no complaints. Would recommend

Love my new washer! I just purchased a house that was built in 1993. And would you know it, the laundry area was too small for the LG Tower I purchased. The delivery crew returned it and suggested that a top load washer/ dryer combo would fit my space. Well, I was a bit disappointed but when this dryer was delivered and installed, it looked great! It has a deep area that holds my comforter and lots more! I love this washer!

I’m very happy with this washer. I’ve had it for about 5 months now and I can honestly say it does a fantastic job. In 5 years I went through 3 GE washers (one after another had to be replaced through the warranty) and finally I just had to give up. Purchasing this one was the best decision I made! My clothes are cleaner, I can load it up without the balance being thrown off and it’s much quieter than other machines I’ve had. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for great a top loader.

Great washer very nice like how you can barely hear it works very quiet love the big load it handles quite easy to use bought open box item so didn't come with manual will recommend lg to friends and family.

I had the 10 year ago version of this washer. I loved it so much I stuck with the newer one and I still love it. Its quiet and large capacity, would recommend.

So far within 1 month of use, the washer is easy to use. It has a very large capacity which can fit a queen comforter. Hopefully it will last long!

Great washer with lots of bells and whistles.. love the app where you ca download other was cycles,I also love the remote start that this washer has.. i hope it last as long as my front load washer did that i had for 13 years. The size of the tub is huge if your short like me you may need a step latter, or some kind of grabber.
