I made the switch to a gas range and am pleased with this selection. I wanted a double oven but didn't have the wall space - this is the perfect 2nd option. I use the upper oven frequently - especially the pre-programmed pizza option! The lower I most frequently use the bake, convection bake, and roast w/probe modes. The included meat probe is awesome - and I love the ability to control via the app. Read the book to really understand the functions and input panel. Cleans up really easy. Three comments on the ovens - #1 (Lower)I don't know how to get the racks to glide in/out easier - they are difficult/rough to move and when most baking is at level 1, near nearest the floor, it would be nice to have a more fluid feel to the rack movement. #2 (Lower) Definitely need to rotate your food, the back is always more done than the front. #3 Seems odd to me this did not come with a broiler pan - maybe that is old-fashioned that ovens would come with a broiler pan? As for the cook top - this is why I bought gas - I love the high intensity burner - it is HOT! It takes a bit to get used to the spacing of the burners, they seem to be set in from where you think you should center your pot or pan, but with practice, it becomes more natural. The look is high end. The three grates make it easy to take apart and clean. Take care when cleaning your stainless - it will scratch if you are not careful! I was really excited for the griddle feature, unfortunately, the griddle is not uniformly heated - you will definitely want to rotate food from the ends to the center where it is hottest - LG should re-engineer the gas output or the griddle structure. I'd give the range 4.5 stars if I could.

    Controls could be better

This is a nice range that performs well so far. The Ultra-high heat burner and Simmer burner are nice options to have, love the 5th center burner with griddle option. It's great to have a double oven as well - helpful for entertaining! The main negative for this model is the design of the control panel and oven controls. The controls to select cooking mode for the ovens are found on a dial, in line with the burner control dials. This dial selects the modes for upper and lower ovens as you spin it. The dial has very small print and the part you need to read is pointing straight up, so it tends to catch reflections from the lighting in my kitchen. I am at an age where I need glasses to read fine print and it is honestly hard for me to read on the dial whether I'm controlling upper or lower oven functions and which function is being selected. The selected cooking mode appears on the control panel screen as you spin the dial - this is easier to read but there is no indication whether it correlates to the upper or lower oven. (See attached photo for the view of the controls from where I stand in front of the range.) Another annoying factor is that there are included Pizza settings on the upper oven, but no real explanation for what that means (once you select Pizza, you can scroll through Pizza 1, Pizza 2 and Pizza 3 - but what do they mean???) - we tried it out and ended up with burnt crust. There is an explanation of these functions buried deep in the user manual, but why include a food-specific function that is not intuitive and whose meaning is oblique? Bottom line, operating the oven controls is cumbersome and confusing. The timer is also less than ideal - if you tap the + button, the minute count goes up one minute at a time, but if you hold it down with a long press that's just longer than a tap, it starts bolting upward in 10 minute increments. My old range had a timer which allowed you to select 10 second increments, then switched to minutes after a reasonably long press, then finally jumped by hours - this worked great and seemed simple. It seems like someone went out of their way to design the timer on this range to be jumpy and difficult to use.

    LG Gas Stove Double Ovens

So happy I bought this LG gas stove with double ovens. I’ve never been so excited about a stove. Having the option to cook at two different temperatures is a thrill, no more waiting for one thing to cook to start another. I’ve had it about a week and look forward to using it every day. The double oven feature is awesome and works great. Some reviewers have said the lower oven is a bit low which is true but the rolling rack is so awesome I don’t notice that it’s a problem. Love the look of this stove. The knobs and control panel are perfectly placed and easy to use. And I’m able to fit multiple pans on the cooktop with ease. Looking forward to using the easy clean feature. My only two criticisms are it was delivered without the meat probe which I was really looking forward to using and Best Buy customer service doesn’t have a replacement and secondly the griddle is Teflon and not cast-iron which I was told by the customer service representative and that’s also disappointing but otherwise excellent purchase.

    Double Oven Heaven!

If I could marry this stove I would! My dream was for double ovens. Ever have to cook Thanksgiving with 1 oven and a 20lb turkey? Yeah. I was on a mission. Considering tight spaces, It took a long time to find a freestanding stove with two ovens that weren't "for show" with no capacity and would stand up to a baking and roasting 20lb turkey. This LG gas double oven stove has impressed me with a large lower oven (it just handled my 24lb Thanksgiving turkey) that has convection (baking!) Settings with 2 racks, along with a smaller conventional upper oven that can handle 2 half roasting pans (mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole), plus broils like a beast! The interior and seals create a environment that gives precise heating and notification when the oven reaches and/or loses temperature. The digital controls took a bit of getting used to but now it's second nature. The 5 burner raised stove top is amazing. With a 18000 BTU quick boil, smaller simmer burner, plancha middle burner, etc. There are options for all your pots and pans! I have a 17 inch cast iron skillet that I can splay across two burners and have a hot and warm zone plus have other pots or tea kettle on top. Of note. That bigger lower oven sits, low low low! So just be aware heavy things are down there! LoL! My gripe? Cleaning the/between the knobs and glass display. OMG batman! There has to be a way to remove the knobs because they are a pain in de booty to clean on and around! Still, best purchase made, thoroughly enjoying cooking with my new stove!

Very happy with my new range. Got to give it a good test run at Thanksgiving and it was so nice to have 2 ovens. The bottom oven is very low because you basically lose the storage drawer that normally comes with a one door range but we mostly use the top oven. I like the wifi part more than I thought, best of all, it looks great. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this stove, water never boiled faster, fish never cooked juicier, love the 2 ovens - the wifi texts i get when my preheat is done or my timer has gone off, i can preset my stove on the way home via smartQ, not that i have to since it heats up so quick. and its super pretty

This range is as effective as it is attractive. As we prepares for delivery, I had a panic because the height dimension on the site said 38" and the counter is 36". I then realized that the height included the grates. The top of the unit itself is flush with the counter top. At first, it seems like you need a PhD to operate the whole thing and that's true. After a few runs, you get used to it. We haven't used the oven enough to know whether we need to recalibrate the thermostat and we don't understand the remote start feature at all. The griddle gets in the way of normal operation so I end up removing it most of the time. However, it does not take long for this puppy to get up to temperature - which was frustrating at first because we are used to electric appliances. Also... Keeping the top clean is not the easiest, but I don't mind showing our cooking beast TLC everyday.

This a beautiful double oven. The blue interior is so pretty. It does take a while to figure out how to operate it. I don’t like the knob which chooses oven options…hard to see. The lower oven is the larger of the two…hard to get down there and pull out a heavy, hot casserole. The griddle on top is quite narrow. In order to fit a large pot on a burner you must take the griddle off. I love the ultra heat burner. The simmer burner also is something I will use often.

    New double oven

I had my new LG double oven installed two weeks ago. I have used the cooktop often and the oven a few times. I enjoy having a smaller top oven that takes a shorter time to heat up since there are only two of us and I don’t always need a large oven. I did put my roasting pan in the bottom to be sure a turkey will fit. I’m sure a decent size turkey will work. I never buy anything over 18 lbs. but if you want a larger turkey, you will want a full size oven. So far I’m finding the keypad easy to use. I will probably never use the smart features since I don’t like to carry my phone around with me and my house isn’t so large that I won’t hear an alarm go off. I am in the habit of using an old fashioned spring alarm since it’s loud and my old oven had a weak beep that I couldn’t hear over the tv. I will just continue to use it. Everyone has commented on how beautiful the oven is. The interior is gorgeous too. I haven’t tried to clean it yet, so we’ll see how that works at another time. Overall, I’m happy.

I have owned this oven for just over a month and I love how well it performs. The two separate ovens gives you the ability to run two different temperatures, cooking times and the 5 burner top comes with the center griddle top (could use a larger grease trap) overall I am very impressed with the oven.

I’ll start by saying I’m a huge fan of LG. We have their OLED 65”, 4K ultrafine monitors for our computers, washer, dryer, fridge and now this dual oven with range hood. Preheats amazingly fast! The burners are excellent. Finish and overall appeal in the kitchen is great. Installation was not difficult at all. Purchase Weiman stainless steel wipes and some microfiber cloths to keep it looking flawless. Refrain from using anything with an abrasive touch because I imagine the stovetop will scratch very easy. I can see from other reviews that the dials need to be handled with care as well. Saw a few people saying they fell off after a years use. Only major downside was it took almost 4 months to be delivered. At least that gave me the opportunity to get the best price match as the sale price dropped several times during that period.

The oven of her dreams! It is too quality and connecting it to WiFi gives a great experience. We nicknamed ours "Bertha" in the app so now we get a notification when Bertha is preheated or when the timer is up. It's fun and the timer "jingle" from the oven itself always makes you smile. Functionally it is fantastic! We used an oven thermometer to test it and it is spot on! The lower oven rack slides out for easy access and the broil on the top oven has perfect hi and low settings. The one thing that we did need to change was having the gas line moved so it was set inside the wall. Since it is a "double oven" it uses all the available space and this means if you're gas line connection sticks out from the wall, then the oven won't be able to sit flush. I used the "Thumbtack app" and had a steamfitter/plumber move the gas line connection out of the way (see photo). $350 was the charge for that. Overall a fantastic oven that makes all our relatives jealous over the holidays.

Such a beautiful appliance. I cook nearly every day and just recently discovered the "proof" setting for baking bread. The only thing I wish was better is the steel on top I wish is were a higher gauge of steel. Using a microfiber cloth and good stainless steel cleaner is highly recommend. Be careful not to scratch it. The cleaning setting is also overrated.
