Have used if for streaming Netflix and DVDs and has worked well. The instructions were pretty minimal and so I had to go online to figure out the set up. After that is was fine

I got this Blu-Ray player to replace a unit that I have had for several years that had some problems reading Blu-Rays. This BP350 player does that beautifully, even with discs that had problems on the old unit. The fact that it connects to my wi-fi wirelessly is also a big plus. It is easy to use and to use. My only reservation from giving it five stars is that the apps, especially YouTube, can be flaky. Sometimes they will lose communication with the device that I am trying to share videos from, and the Blu-Ray player has to be completely unplugged for it to reset. Netflix and Amazon Instant Video work pretty well, although I have had poor performance from them from time to time (skipping, pauses), but I'm not sure that the player itself was at fault. The bottom line is that 99.5% of the time, this player is fantastic. I would like the option to add apps to it - HBO GO for instance - but I would definitely recommend it as is.

This Blu-Ray player was a replacement to a Samsung DVD player I had bought also from Best Buy a month prior. I had returned the Samsung DVD player because it was extremely loud. The Blu-Ray player was refreshing with its small size and Wi-Fi options to choose from already subscribed streaming programs. The smart phone app to use as remote is very nifty and often works better or easier than the remote. The only negative I have is that there were no instructions in the package and I had to figure out a bunch of settings on my own by going online. However, once you get to the right set up, it is very easy and straight forward, even for someone like me who is more of a user than too tech savvy person.

Low cost blu-ray player does a good job playing Blu-ray disks with high quality. Disks load fairly rapidly. It also accepts many other formats. The player can connect to WiFi and stream from a small group of services including Netflix, Amazon and YouTube eliminating the need for a Roku or Chromcaset. Drawbacks: Front of the unit has no display, only an on light. If you want info such as how much longer the disk has to play, you need to use the remote and view it over the picture. There is no readily apparent way to add streaming services other then the ones that are preloaded. WiFi services take a while to load. The remote control is very small with tiny buttons. If you’re fat-fingered you may wind up pressing more than one button. (You can download an app to use you cell phone as the remote or use a multi-device remote.) If you can live with the short-comings, the player is a good value for the price.

I bought this as a replacement to another brand name player. I bought this because of the size and the price. The streaming features are somewhat limited, but I use my Roku for that anyway. It plays discs just fine and has a very small footprint. I do wish the power cord was a little longer and the remote is very small and doesn't work with my panasonic tv.

There are just two buttons on the front, power and eject. If you lose the remote, your stuck till you get another one. Most of them omit buttons now. It is a cheaper unit through, got to give somewhere. Hard to read what some of the buttons do on the remote. The player is small and light. It plays discs and streams well, no issues, It replaced an older version of this player which was used very heavily (all day) by my son for over two years before it died. This one adds streaming which helps future proof it. Even the disc player dies, it can still be used as a streaming box. Discs are heading the way of VHS tapes. Its a basic streamer, not a full feature box like a Roku, but OK for a kid or guest room.

Good but not great unit. Blu-ray player is great but the streaming, especially Netflix, can be iffy at times. Other than that it’s a good product. Very easy to set up.

Worked great out of the box, then a few days later started hesitating/freezing on the wi-fi. Resetting by unplugging gave a temporary fix, but it would freeze and require unplugging to do anything after the 15 day Best Buy return limit. LG was very apologetic and offered a full refund with a copy of the receipt and the removed ID labels on the back. I am seriously thinking about going with something like a fire stick for the wi-fi and a separate, cheaper non-wifi player. That way each function is separate and does not shut the whole system down for repairs. When it worked it was fast and functional. Service was excellent under the circumstances.

I went in and asked the associate which one was the best blue ray and she recommended this one. I had previously purchased a Sony blue ray and it didn't last a year. The quality of the picture, the small size, the ease of use for this item are all great.

Bought the unit as an open-box item and got it for a significant discount combined with a frequent buyer coupon so almost half price. Had to be careful to get unit that has Wi-Fi built in as some require cable. Unit is light, very easy to set up and recognized the local network without issue. Unit is very small (a strong plus) but also feels very plastic. Comes with some premium services built in and you can add a limited amount of others. That is nice but not needed if you have a Roku which offers a lot more options. You do need to supply your own HDMI cable to hook into the TV. Excellent graphics. No complaints after a few weeks operation other than it turns itself off after not being used for a bit; however, it comes on instantly if you press power button so actually like that feature.

    Good Blue-ray player, bad remote

The blue-ray player itself is fine, works great, the app component of the product is easy to use and intuitive to navigate, the size of the device is great, very small so it is easy to place anywhere; the only bad thing about the product is the remote, it is horrible! The keys are not easy to press, they are "mushy" for the lack of a better word, so unless you press it directly from the center of the buttons and straight down, you will not depress the button in a way that makes contact with the inner part of the button and therefore you have to press the button multiple times before it actually works, which is VERY frustrating. I would recommend the product but hopefully you have a Universal remote that you can program so that you can throw away the remote it comes with.

Reliable Blu ray player with WiFi at a great price

I've purchased about 5 different LG blu ray players as gifts and for personal use and never had one fail or annoy the user. This model enables wifi streaming and costs an average of $20 over the model without wifi. It's easy to set up and streams well, assuming you have hi speed Internet. It improves on previous model designs by taking up less space without loosing any functionality. The only issue I had was with the remote. It's too small and a little less responsive than I would like. Overall, more user friendly than the comparable Sony & Samsung models.

Overall a good Blu-ray player. Easy to setup with the TV, and easy to connect the streaming apps to it as well. My only gripe, and this isn't specific to LG or this player, is the price. They are still too expensive in my opinion considering the prices of everything else. And playing like $10 more for a wireless vs wired player is crazy since everything is wireless now...

Overall, a good but basic player which is what I wanted. Nothing spectacular in any way, but it's a good player that is generally easy to use. My only complaint is that the remote is weak! The player is housed in a closet in the next lower level and the remote is slow to communicate via the IR repeater. It only uses 1 AAA battery which is likely the issue. Other remotes with 2 AA batteries work much better.

I purchased this unit because 1) I wanted Blu-ray as an upgrade from DVD (it also plays DVD) and 2) to turn my TV into a smart TV (the unit has smart TV like apps when connected to WiFi. So far the unit has worked very well (I will update if problems surface). Connecting to WiFi worked in both my test location and final location. Note: the TV I use this on has one HDMI input only. I use this with a Fosmon HD8024 2x1 or 1x2 HDMI Bi-Directional Switch with HDCP Passthrough (from Amazon). I hook up cable box on one HDMI switch input and this unit on the other. Works fine.

This player was easy to set up and use but in purchasing, I thought that the player came with definite streaming apps already installed. Then I discovered that the apps were in what they call the premium site and you had to download them. There were only 6 apps listed so I was a little disappointed with that. I do think it's cool you can link it to your computer to play music.
