Time Owned: 1.5 Years+ Previous Setup: Front-Load Samsung Separate Washer & Dryer on Pedestals (Bought new - owned ~3 years before issue) Primary Reason for Buying: Samsung Dryer bearing failed and repair cost estimated to be ~$1K; Decided to replace the set and the WashTower was attractive towards saving space in a stacked unit while potentially still being at comfortable height for my 5'4" spouse. I'm 6'2" in height. Thoughts: The WashTower has excellent and definitely opened up space in our utility room where it replaced the side-by-sides. The smart tech is solid to use from a smart phone but limited in that you can't start a cycle unless you've manually enabled the unit to do so beforehand. The washing and drying performance has been good with no complaints across our 5 person household (2 adults + 3 youths). Installation went fine for 1st level easily accessible space. Might be tougher for in other situations involving stairs. The unit is not very loud and is very muted behind a close door. The height position of the washer and dryer make loading and unloading it a real consideration for those who are short or tall because you will need bend a bit for the lower washer to reach in deep and stand tall to reach in deep for the top dryer. The various features have all be nice. Overall I'm happy I spent the extra money on the WashTower which I was concerned about, but thought it was a good value. I did take advantage of the TotalTech membership so I'm keeping future repair concerns in check in case an issue does come up. So far so good. I recommend it for those more able and taller with space constraints and want a high-end unit. For those shorter or older and highly prioritize ease of access, I'd pursue something different or be prepared to manage that access. Our Samsung units were nice but we likely ended it prematurely but not taking note of the more current directions to not overload and use less detergent. We shopped multiple brands and regardless of what is purchased, I think the guidance to use the right amount of detergent, don't overload, and avoid dryer sheets will help the purchase last longer care free.

Great Washer and Dryer. Delivery from Best Buy was great. Ordered June 5 2021, and we received it July 3 2021, that's a long time BUT things still are slow going while the world opens due to covid. We hooked this WGX201HNA up, not too bad BUT you do need 2 15A circuits (this is the GAS model) we had one outlet before for both, but had to add so I added two new outlets, one each circuit. Purchased a tall duct at homedepo to raise the dryer duct above the unit, connected the water and gas, not too bad. The system also was separated into two to get it in our laundry room, as this system can run with only one plugged in (as if you actually had two separate units, a washer and a dryer), I don't think I read this anywhere, but this one (I would also believe any of these studio versions would be the same, as this one is the 5.0Cu.Ft.) can run alone if one broke, so if your washer broke , you could wash your clothes elsewhere and take them home to dry. this is very good news as one would think if one broke they are both broke, not the case in this model. I took a few pictures for you all, and now we can put a table on the side, very nice!! now the use ... - To use the app LG ThinQ, you need to put the unit into wifi mode by.. 1. powering on both washer and dryer 2. press and hold the temp button on the washer side until you see the wifi light up (you could use the dryer temp button , but I used the washer temp button). 3. go to your wifi settings on your iOS, android, or ?? and click on the LG wifi (you can open the app and instructions will be their also as you add the lg washtower. 4, go to the app and add the wash tower The wifi works great as long as you have a good router, if your router is poor then you should buy a good one (mine is an ORBI RB50K, never a problem with it) - the app works great !! what is really a poor design, you only have one user slot in each washer and dryer. - you can remote start the unit BUT What sucks is you have to hold the spin button down until the remote start lights up, Every time you want to use it!!! this should stay turned on! a major con.... you choose the normal then select say cold water, well next time you choose normal you have to select cold again!!!! OMG this is 2021 , what is LG thinking!!!! keep the setting like my old Electrolux did!! Not that big, but you should know this. My Electrolux washer would shake when spinning, this unit is rock solid and extremely quiet!! very nice!!!! I am still figuring out wash and dryer programs and stuff, as you will also, to get what you like. Washer section works great!! Dryer .... we washed a light load and I had to spin a small blanket again after a quick wash with high spin , I had similar problems in my Electrolux with these same blankets, sooooo........ on the small load I also had to dry some hand towels a few times before they were dry with the program that uses sensor dry, BUT when I washed a normal load and did a heavy dry program , everything came out dry the first time. their is also a time dry selection , old fashion way that is very nice! I still recommend this wash tower even with the cons as it really saves space, looks great, controls are in a great location, you can still use one if the other is broke, quiet. THE app is great, lets you know when done and time it will be done, power on and off the washer and dryer, selectable programs, and you can use remote start (BUT you have to enable remote start when you load the washer every time) Thats it for now and I will update this (as long as I can) or write a new review if anything changes. The best stackable washer and dryer that I have ever bought! I LOVE IT…

First of all, it took forever to get this in. I ordered the beginning of November and had paid for it and BB indicated it would be in by Dec 22nd. I could deal with that. Then when Dec 22 came around, no tower. Called the company and they said they were setting deliveries for February now....I was not happy they didn't contact me and they had my money already and were not going to compensate in any way. Wasted my day. Customer service was poor. As for the washtower, it was very quiet for the first few loads. It has gained some noise with time, which is discouraging. The washer does a great job, but for what you put into the washer, the dryer cannot handle a good size load. I think the extra room in the washer is better for getting clothes cleaner but don't think you can make it a decent load unless you are going to split the load for the dryer. I don't like that I do not have more ability to change the load settings for the most part on the machine itself. You have only so many settings on the unit, then you have to use the app to find the load setting you want to use. I find it a pain to deal with. If my mother is in town helping out she can't change the settings unless she gets the app and then once she is connected to my tower, she will know whenever I am doing laundry, since it notifies when a load is done...there are a lot of things for the company to rethink when they update the model/software. I can say that I do enjoy the fact that I am notified when my loads are done since I have the volume turned off on the machines. There were two settings for volume, off and on. On is very loud. My last LG had different levels which was wonderful. All in all, I can't say I'm in love with this set. I only had to get it due to space issues in the house. I would definitely say that the noise is drastically reduced in having the unit attached solidly as opposed to stacking separate machines which I had before. The load dry sensing needs improvement. I end up with damp clothes or just damp clothes on the very dry setting whenever I use low or medium low heat. I have to run it on a timed setting to ensure it is dry after the sensing load. I really don't want to shrink my clothes so I have always used lower heat settings. Would I buy this set again? Not unless a lot of improvements are made.

Love this unit. The bottom washer communicates with the dryer, so the washer settings will populate the appropriate dryer settings. The washer has several settings to choose from, everything has worked really well, and the spin has been both efficient and very quiet. The dryer performs as programmed. Cute little tune at the end to signal the end of the cycle. So far so good!

It is very nice. The ease of use is especially good. I couldn’t get the the two single units because of space and they could not be operated by someone who wasn’t over 5’5 tall. I had change the natural gas over to Lp . The operation is very nice and we have not figured out all of the settings yet. The way is wash is very nice and we love the way the clothes come out. Just wish we could reverse the doors.

LG is definitely at par when it comes to washers & Dryers the main reason for buying this washer was because it had good look and feel and the most important was it came pre-stack. Quality and build are very good and also the good thing about this is it also has a Drum Light. You can't go wrong with this particular model. Thanks

This is a pretty machine with a very large capacity. It is energy saving and smart enabled. It comes with an extensive manual and more info and troubleshooting online. It is reasonably easy to learn about all the bells and whistles. The only thing I have found that is difficult is cleaning the seals on the washing machine after each use. The seal is a bit hard to reach, drying the seals prevents molds and smells.

Absolutely love this stackable washer. It's a sleek design and fits perfectly in the space without compromising the load. I am able to wash my king bedding perfectly. I also love the LG functionality of steam and built in intelligence. Note, it's all one unit.

So far ran 25 cycles in this unit and we love this unit. Very convenient and takes less space in our small laundry room. Unit does not move during spin cycle, its a steady, heavy and solid unit.
