I have bought lifeproof cases for all my phones in the past and loved them for there durability even though the case was thin and flexible it always provided great protection. Well this case also provides that protection and maybe even a higher level of protection but at a cost. So lifeproof was bought by otterbox and they incorporated otterbox’s hard plastic design and made this hybrid case that is a cross between the old lifeproof and the otterbox. The only issue I have found is the soft rubber is pealing off the sides from putting it in and taking it out of my side leg pocket of my pants. Epic fail here lifeproof. The button and speaker covers are all incorporated in this so very soon when the buttons peel this case will be rendered useless. Being I have an engineering background this crap makes me livid. All they had to do is put an extra channel in body of the case that would hold the protective rubber bumper the way the rubber on a windshield wiper is held to the wiper add a lil glue and bam, the rubber will stay on. So if you keep this in a loose pocket or a purse you may be fine but if it is in a tighter pocket there is a good chance the rubber will peel off a you will be disappointed.

This is my first life proof that wasn’t waterproof, it’s very lightweight and sleek. The sounds quality and speaker sounds great through the phone.

Good protection But the troublesome little door famous on all Lifeproof cases in order to charge my phone kept this from being a five star. The protection was great... the convenience not so much.

This case is very expensive, which would make you think that it will be better than a less expensive case. This however is not the reality. It loses all of the silicone trim. This is part of the protection of the phone. We bought two of them for myself and my husband. My husband has replaced his twice and both times he faced the same issue. Mine has now almost completely lost its trim. I am going to get a replacement for mine as well since we spent $80 a piece on them. The only problem is that you spend money to ship and handle the replacement and another $10 each time for a new pop socket as well. I don't think it is worth all of that.

The case looks great. Feels great. Feels safe. But falls apart. If you put it in your pocket the top protection starts to peel away. The outside rubber is always raising. Two iPhones X’s in my house and we’ve gone through 4 case since November. Amazing customer service but not worth the cost at all.

I purchased this case last November for its robustness and am disappointed that the bumper has come off extensively in multiple spots to the point where the case is not usable. It’s definitely not worth it for how expensive it is.

After having the case for only a few short months, the rubberish lining around the phone began to stretch and loosen badly.

Awesome case! Feels good in my hands, very attractive, volume and ringer buttons work perfectly with the phone inside the case, phone feels protected and safe and the clear design allows the beauty of my iPhone X to shine through. The “only” issues I have with the case is it picks up fingerprints...for someone who is a stickler when it comes to stuff like that I find myself wiping it on my pants leg or shirt sleeve throughout the day. However, I like the case so much it is worth it. My second issue is the case can pick up scratches. It does not seem like it scratches very easily but I have a couple scratches on mine already. I think one scratch came from a drop and maybe the other from something that was in my pocket. However, the case seems like it is very durable. I noticed the scratches several weeks ago and since then haven’t noticed any more. And the scratches aren’t so deep and unsightly that they take away from the beauty of the case/phone. All in all, this is a great case!

I actually did like the case enough to purchase it twice. The first case: rubber started peeling away after 2-3 months. The clear back was so scratched- it looked horrible. I bought the same case again because I love how thin it is- and I love the protection. The second case: rubber started peeling after 1-2 months. The clear back was still really scratched, even though I did try to take better care of it. The mesh covering the speakers didn’t cover the entire speaker so it didn’t help much against dust.

Since I am no longer 5yrs old, I love this case! I don’t need the protection of the Frē, and this case give me all the security of the late 40yr old that I am. Very easy to use; not bulky. Recommend a screen cover.

Had to purchase a second case as the installation of the phone didn't go as planned with the first one. The directions on this were minimal with reference of the position of the "phone silence" button on the upper left hand side looking down on the case. I noticed after installed the phone that I has some bubbles on the rear of the case and needed to open the case back up. Using the handy dandy LifeProof case opener tool (which is where all of the cost comes from I assume) , I couldn't get the upper left portion to release causing me to bend that portion of the case. The case still snapped together once I wiped the phone down and reinstalled it but the case was now bent. So, not so happy about that but it still worked. My wife dropped the phone and the case did what it was supposed to do with protecting the phone and taking the impact. The outer band of the case was cracked and coming apart from the case after the fall. So I am please with the case protecting the phone. I will say that while LifeProof has improved their cases over time, this does make the phone a bit more bulkier than other cases out on the market. So there is a trade off but with a $1000 phone, it isn't worth the thought of having to replace the phone to try one of the others out there. We have used Otterbox and LifeProof now for the last 6 phones we have owned and they have come a long way with "trimming down" the size of the phone cases while still maintaining the protection level we are looking for.

I’m not too rough on my phones. But I got this because I didn’t wanna take any chances with something happening to my new phone. So far it has worked great. It does make your phone a little bulky and heavier. But I knew that before i purchased. Compared to other life proof cases. I would say this one is actually less bulky and heavier than previous ones.

Protects the phone very well only thing I don’t like is how easily the case scratches

Protects phone well. Feels good in the hand. Was hard to put on correctly due to mute switch, but overall happy with it. Like how you can see the phone through the back.

I love this case, it keeps the phone slim and yet very protected, nothing protects the front glass which is a little scary but the case is bubbled on the top so that if it drops on it’s face the case takes most the damage. I love that the back is clear, I added some family photos that I can change out anytime.

This case is sleek and stylish. With a glass screen protector (bought separately), I feel like the protection is as good as otter boxes I have had in the past. Although it is a little more expensive option. The clear case shows finger prints and does have some small scratches after use. The phone case has taken some getting use to as it can be a little more slippery and smaller than previous cases I have used as well. Now I love that the case is not as bulky. Overall I like the look and it has protected my phone well so far.

The Lifeproof Next and the Slam case are a nice addition to the Lifeproof line. Tho neither are waterproof it’s nice to have good protection when ya don’t necessarily need the complete waterproof protection, especially now that most flagships offer at least water resistance. I’ve had the Next case for almost 2 weeks now and I’ve had no issues. The black strip around the case gives it just enough of a grip that it’s not slippery but easy in and out of pockets. Does make the phone wider and taller but not a great deal thicker and it’s great that the back is clear. Overall a nice case with good protection.

Great product and warranty, but it isn’t waterproof like most Lifeproof cases. The case itself doesn’t add too much bulk to the phone and the rubber grip makes it easy to hold.

The case offers great protection as I’ve already dropped the phone several times. However, within the first week, the gasket around the edges is bubbling & pulling away.

You pay for the best and this is no exception. Very good, but hard to get on and off and pricey - but the best protection for your X.
