I don’t usually write reviews but this product gave me enough of a headache to write this review. I’ve had this for 4 days now. Setting up wifi was a breeze but everything after that has been nothing short of a tech nightmare. The internet stays on for no more than 5 minutes and then dies. The router flashes a red light after that and will intermittently come back online and then die again. I factory reset it a couple times. That didn’t work. Contacted support who were helpful but couldn’t fix the issue. They confirmed that it was an issue with the router and not my ISP. They told me to return the item and get some other router. In a nutshell: DO NOT BUY this product.

I purchased this wifi because it’s Wi-Fi 6, faster than the router from Spectrum, is used for playing games on my Xbox, and I use it on my MacBook. But to my surprise gaming on this Wi-Fi, even that’s close to my Xbox, it’s a nightmare, it has a lot of lag, and it’s almost impossible to play. I already reset all the settings and reinstall the Wi-Fi, but it looks like never change, the lag still going on, unfortunately, I can’t do anything now.

Have had connectivity issues with it after a week and did not have the opportunity to return in the 15 day windows. The the router stops broadcasting the network randomly, response times are erratic and download speeds are all over the place. Did a factory reset and so far spent an hour with Linksys level 2 support. While have not had broadcast issues after having default settings disabled, the wireless speed is not stable at all. Figured adding WiFi 6 would be an upgrade, but it just can't handle a multi-story house. Do your research wish I did

Horrible product. I work for a ISP company, and I will tell you it’s easy for someone older that’s looking for a easy setup, but not for someone that’s looking to stream or do anything with speeds! The Ethernet ports are solid, the real issue is it has band steering so you only have band to connect to, the issue with that is it picks what your device should be on from the range that it is from the router, well I walked 10 feet from the router and it swapped it to 2.4 band which one 10 feet it shouldn’t do that second the speed coming off that band was .01 meg the have 4 router plugged them all in with split bands did speed test got 40 meg from same spot login into the router and did research to find that you cannot split these bands. Range was terrible. Return immediately and forked out the money for UBIQUITY 2 WiFi 6 AP Usg 8 port switch and ran my own Ethernet lines

Dont like to use an app to control router. the interface of the app is shyte, Would like to use a browser to control the router, but when you try to do it on an iphone it just brings up use the app store to get the app… If i want to use the web browser i need to go through the whole process of booting a desktop just to use the os inside of the router. Also just to make it “secure” they need to verify your email! suck up all data relating to your email just to make money off a device that should not make a company money other than for the sale of said device. Also the other dead give away is that it is made by BELKIN not Cisco anymore!

I REALLY wanted this router to work out. Unfortunately, 2 days in and it stopped working. After hours, I finally got it back up and running, only to have it go out again. QC issues aside, the fact that the router itself decides which band your devices should be connected to, and can change that band at any given time, was the single most frustrating part. I could have a device prioritized on the 5.0ghz band, with download speeds of 300-400mbps, but then the router can decide to kick that same device to the 2.4ghz band, and now I'm at 50-75mbps? NO thanks. I returned this thing SO fast. Do yourself a favor and go with something else.

Don't buy this. Linksys has fallen so low in quality and so much more. -Cons -You can't direct link to the router (like it's always been for the last 30 years) You have to use some app with dumb down settings. Even when you do find away to view advanced settings you'll be very disappointed. - The Wifi connection dropped more than it stayed on. - Speed and Range are no better than ISP provided Modem/router. If anything this router's speeds are worse. Over all it's Way over priced and hardly works. Save your money and find something better.

Bought this unit for an apartment with four students doing remote learning, and it is no where near the stated bandwidth and range is horrible. Most reviews I read did not cover this, but one that I found when debugging the problems pointed out the beam forming and frequency selection (2.4 vs 5) algorithms in this unit are bad, which is consistent with my observations. And there is no way to change any of this - the router only operates in Mixed frequency mode, cannot be turned into a range extender of another network, and has very minimal controls and debugging features. Upshot is that it does not perform and spend your money elsewhere. Also realize this after the BB 15-day return policy, and will no longer be buying my tech gear from BB.

This router began crapping out less than two months after it was installed. Rebooting it gives periods of operation of less than an hour, then the same thing. This replaced a Linksys MR8300 that has been pressed back into service because its periodic outages are shorter in duration and seem to correct themselves without rebooting. This is just unacceptable.

Worst router setup experience ever. This product does require a phone with a data plan to get this setup. There is practically no setup instructions with this unit. Waisted about 30+ minutes using 2 phones to try and connect with this unit. I even connected my laptop via ethernet cable to this and couldn't get internet though I could ping it. Called tech support and they put me through the typical reset procedures. They finally deemed my unit was faulty straight out of the box. No wonder this unit was on sale. I was hoping to replace a old Linksys with another but looks like I'll be switching brands. All in total I waisted over an hour trying to get this setup.

Worked for one day until an Xfinity outage, then it took 4.5 hours to get wi-if back, and this after multiple calls to Xfinity and LinkSys, and a bazillion resets of both modem and router. Oh, and you have to unplug and plug back in in the correct order or you have to start all over. It works now but the LED indicator is still the wrong color. Definitely do NOT recommend if it’s so sensitive after one outage.

Been using Linksys products since before the days of the legendary WRT54g. Now they insist that you download a mobile app to control this router. There is not even an option for PC browser access, as there has been in every consumer grade router in history. I assume there is some segment of the population who prefers to log into a mobile app to control their router, but that's a Hard Pass from me.

Bought as a mesh extension to the new main router, the Hydra 6E, and it was a definitely not worth $800 total. It wouldn’t work for more than 10 min. When I had this connected via Ethernet backhaul, my hardwired clients in both this node and main router would randomly lose connection for 20+ min. This might be okay on its own but as a mesh node I cannot recommend.

      Hi zhayes,

We hear you. Rest assured that this is not the expected behavior of the Linksys MR7350 as this is compatible with other mesh router/system. Just like the other mesh router/node, this has to be configured via the Linksys App first before cascading to the primary network. Moreover, we want to have our 2nd Level Team take a closer look at the situation. Email LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact details and the link to your review for quick reference.

I personally did not have a good experience with this router. The fire wall prevented me from a simple connection and when I called tech support to get it connected it choked the speed by 50%-75% of its potential. I finally resolved my issue by asking my internet provider for suggested routers for their network and did so. This experience suggests to me that not all routers work for every network. Check with your network provider before buying this router.

Purchased this router several months ago, and should have returned it after the first week. 5GHz WiFi speed is excellent, 2.4 is painfully slow. 300/7 WiFi speed, lucky if I got 50/7 speed, about 20 feet from router. Node occasionally loses sync, have to reboot entire system. Not so easy to initially setup. Took several attempts to initially login. Would not recommend.

      Hi Mobrien,

The difference between the bands is that the 2.4Ghz is good with range while the 5Ghz is for speed. If the Wi-Fi speed on the 2.4 bands is significantly low even if the router is running on the latest firmware and testing different wireless channels, email LinksysCares@linksys.com along with the link to this review and the internet subscription speed so we can have our 2nd Level Team take a look.

The router preformed poorly for me. The fact that it led you to believe the only way to connect the router was through your phone and to make an account was annoying. The auto switching from 2.4hz and 5hz isn’t ideal for me. I liked the design of the router and footprint, but it dropped the signal too often. I had no choice but to return it.
