Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the Crayon Digital Pencil's ease of use, appealing price, and generally good battery life. Many appreciate its compatibility with iPads and the convenient charging. While some found the shape unconventional and noted the lack of pressure sensitivity, the overall experience for drawing and note-taking is positive for most users.

Cheap alternative with one big sacrifice
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this pencil to make simple drawings and writing, also text selection and other basic stuff, and it’s working wonders. The tip is pretty fragile and any drop or hit to the tip will bent it and alter its function, having to replace it (fortunately any Apple Pencil tip will do, even Chinese ones). One super positive thing about this pencil is that it doesn’t need to sync with the device or anything, so it can be used on many devices at the same time (perfect for children in school I guess, for sharing). The major drawback: no pressure support, so artists are losing here.

Good alternative for an Apple Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn’t have the pressure-sensitive capability of the Apple Pencil, but subtlety of a stroke is not one of my concerns. It connects instantly and works the way it should. The shape is a stitch awkward at first, but it only took a couple days to find a comfortable way to hold it. Now I don’t notice the shape at all. Only bit I wish they all would do is cling with the magnet and charge that way, but at least it’s a usb c so I don’t need another cord to charge it. Charge lasts about two days of taking notes pretty much non stop.

Better value and than Apple Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need the Apple Pencil 1 pressure sensitivity for sketching, this isn't for you. If you're the 99% that wants a stylus for notes, quick drawing or easily navigating an iPad, this is definitely the choice. Not a big fan of the color but I do like the flat design so it doesn't roll off a table. LED shows the power level and it charges easily with lighting cable. This thing works perfectly with an iPad mini 5 and there' no syncing. Just turn on and you're good to go. Game changer using a tablet and highly recommend you get one if you use the iPad.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here is what you all should know, if you don’t need the pressure sensitivity then don’t buy the Apple Pencil, if you have a tendency to drop things then it is settled. Buy this device. I have two things that I would have preferred to see on this pencils from Logitech. 1. Offer more color options for people, this has been out for over a year. Either sell accessories to change the colors or offer buyers options. I know they sell a grey version on their website and on the Apple website. Just give people the option you know. 2. Replace the lighting charger for USB-C. I mean this to me can make this thinner, perhaps thin enough to so add a small magnet to the inside and take advantage of the iPad Pro? They could take a page from the new surface pen and that would take this to the next level. 3. Can they make it smaller? I don’t understand why companies have not been able to get these pens smaller and more in line with what we we have all used for 15+ years. I would like to see something like the new surface pen. I think that is a great size, weight, and feel. All in all, this is great value for the money. This is awesome for two main reasons: 1. It can lay flat and not roll unlike the 1st generation Apple Pencil. 2. It automatically turns off and saves battery. That is genius!

a great alternative to the apple pencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short statement. Fantastic battery life, I highly recommend using it with Procreate, feels soild and well built. In my short time of owning it I have to say it is crazy easy to use. Just turn it on and get to work. Charging it is simple as lift the orange rubber tip and plug in an lightning cord to charge. Battery life is will last between a week or hours depending on usage. The pressure system of how you hold the crayon to determine how thin or thick it draws, requires some getting used too. It works beautifully with Procreate. I did find out Autodesk sketchbook and another program, i can't remember the name of at this time, didn't work well with this. Sketchbook automatically set it to the weakest pressure no matter how I was holding it. The other app kept thinking it was disconnected.

Works GREAT... But....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really do like the way this Logitech Crayon works. I don't miss the pressure-sensitive tip that my apple pencil had. Had... because in less than a year and not to overly used... it just stopped functioning. I'm really happy with the Crayon and always a plus when I can save about $50+ as well! And LOVE that you don't have to pair this with your device!! The only thing I do miss is being able to see the percentage of battery life it has. I was in a meeting last week and the Crayon died on me during the meeting. Had I been able to see the percentage pop up on my iPad prior to the meeting, I may have been able to plug it in for enough of a charge to get me through the meeting.

Works well. Feels good in hand.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Logitech Crayon for several weeks and it has worked well each time I have used it. I purchased it to work with an iPad Mini (2019). I chose this over the Apple pencil primarily for cost, but also because the charging method seemed to be nicer. Having it plug into the same cord that I use to charge my other iDevices is handy. The shape is also quite nice, more like a carpenter’s pencil, and it is very comfortable to hold. The one issue about the shape is that it does not fit well in the pencil holder built into my Otterbox Defender case for the iPad Mini. In the few weeks I have owned the iPad and Crayon, I have used the Crayon to capture my handwriting in Nebo MyScript, color a bit in a coloring book app, and to do some sketching. In all cases I was pleased with the results. I am not an artist, so I am not sure if the lack of pressure sensitivity is an issue. Changing the line width by tipping seemed fine to me. All in all, I am quite pleased with the product and would likely purchase it again.

Love It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn’t sure about buying the Crayon, but bought it anyway. Glad I did. Find that I like using it if I’m on the iPad for a while. Like using it more than I thought I would. Design, feel, function all good. The Logitech keyboard cover has a holder built into it. The Crayon would be a pain to keep up with without the holder. Tried out the Apple Pencil at Best Buy after using Crayon for a week. Like the Crayon better. Crayon is not pressure sensitive, but I don’t use that and it only worked in pencil mode. It doesn’t work in ink mode. I Like the rubber cover to keep the charging port clean and that it can be charged with cables. Don’t like that the Apple one only plugs into iPad to charge. Wish I could turn it off when I’m finished. It turns itself off after inactivity, supposedly.

The Best Stylus for iPad.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly prefer the Crayon to the Apple Pencil (1st generation), in my experience. Whenever I use the Pencil, it feels very top heavy. It’s not comfortable for me and my grip, which was the main reason I went with the Crayon, because this thing is PERFECTLY weighted! Seriously, it’s so comfortable to use! Plus the cool aluminum is so much more premium than the white plastic. The only thing the Crayon lacks is Pressure Sensitivity. Whenever I use a Pencil at the Apple Store, it requires be to press harder than normal to get my normal stroke (I always write too light). I tried multiple Pencils and got consistent results. The Crayon does not have that problem, and I have yet to say to myself, “gosh, I wish this thing had pressure sensitivity.” For my notes and casual drawing, this is great. I use the Apple Notes app and Pages. IF, you’re an artist 100% invest in the Pencil, I (and I’m assuming most people) wouldn’t know how to take full advantage of it. Plus, some of the ‘higher mileage’ Pencils at my local Apple Store had loose/wiggly tips that felt wonky in use. I’m assuming the cap around the tip on the Crayon fixes this. Basically, if you’re on the fence, I recommend going with the Crayon, it will NOT disappoint. (Oh, and the Crayon doesN’T roll away)

As good (in most ways) as Pencil, better in some
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's nearly as good as the Apple Pencil, all it lacks is pressure sensitivity. If you aren't an artist this is probably fine. In return for that omission you get: -better, more durable construction. I don't worry about this floating loose in my bag. -a design that doesn't roll off a table. -a much better designed charging connector. -no issues pairing or staying paired. -and finally a much better price tag, particularly when it's on sale.

Good Apple Pencil alternative
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it doesn’t have the pressure sensitivity of the Apple Pencil, it also costs as much as 50% less. Works great on the 9.7 inch iPad as well as the iPad Air 3. It’s also really easy to charge with a standard lightening cable.

Pencil for iPad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for $25.00 cheaper than the Apple Pencil. Works well with my iPad latest gen. Not iPad Pro. Does everything I need, so far so good, battery life not a problem(shorter between charges than Apple). If you don’ need pressure sensitive, get this pencil.

Great alternative to Apple Pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Crayon does almost everything the Apple Pencil does (except for pressure sensitivity) for a much lower price, and has one huge advantage: it can work with every iPad that Apple currently sells seamlessly (i.e. you can use it on multiple tablets without having to pair).

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well. It doesn't have the pressure sensitive features like the apple pencil, but that hasn't been an issue. Our son uses it for school and reports that it's comfortable and easy to hold. Great product for the price.

Apple Pencil alternative
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s worked great for me so far. I don’t need pressure sensitivity so this was a cheaper alternative. The shape makes it actually easier to hold than the Apple Pencil 2 and actually uses the exact same tip so precision isn’t an issue.

OK if not for serious drawing- not for Pro artists
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this alongside the iPad Air, trying to save money over the Apple Pencil. I found that this device was acceptable for drawing and writing with, but it lacks pressure sensitivity and after not much time I decided to upgrade to the Apple Pencil, and six months later I’m still glad I did. It’s a good price for a stylus that does what it does, including palm rejection, but if you’re using your tablet for drawing and want high quality results it’s simply not sufficient.

Not a good comparison to Apple pen
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy connectivity. Took a while to get used to and hold since the pen is flat but I like that it cannot roll away. Does not display how much battery the pen has. It also does not have pressure sensitivity and when drawing on procreate for example, when the stroke begins the tip is always round rather than pointed. I would like to be able to use it while it is being charged but it does charge fairly quick. It’s great for the price point.

Great for price just not pressure sensitive
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so title might throw you off. This is an excellent pencil for the iPad. So first what drew me to this purchase is the charging port is female lightning port. Apple Pencil is male and plugs into your iPad to charge where this is just plugged with your charger. I enjoy that because you can still use when charging. Now as functions. Works awesome on my iPad Air (3rd generation) on all apps. I use affinity design affinity photo and procreate with no problems. This pencil is not pressure sensitive....I repeat not pressure sensitive. If you just dabble in art for fun, this isn’t a huge deal. In those programs I mentioned its not difficult to switch brush size on what your doing (first time using it can be annoying and cumbersome to stop and switch sizes) if that doesn’t sound like an issue then this is perfect for you. ( I personally don’t mind at all not having pressure sensitivity, I feel like I have more control not worrying about how hard or soft I’m pressing on my iPad the pen is going to register. That and I can change to my specific needs.) I highly recommend trying this out and saving some money

Prefer crayon over pencil
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great alternative to the overpriced Apple pencil. I own a pencil for my older ipad and it is great but the design was dumb on charging. This doesn't recognize the pressure sensitive way you write but for note taking it is no different. Would prefer this over the pencil. Also, not round so doesn't roll off desk.
