Good mouse... but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 for years but when the office upgraded to new desks with a glass top on them, my Intellimouse had difficulties tracking correctly. Got this wireless mouse based on other reviews and am pleasantly surprised -- most of my experiences with wireless mice were early on and they had a lot of "stutters" or "connection drop-outs" but I haven't noticed any with this Logitech mouse. It has none of the difficulties that my Intellimouse had tracking on my glass-top desk and it feels okay in my hand -- it feels a bit more cramped than the Intellimouse as my hands are a little on the large side, so my hand doesn't "rest" on the Logitech quite as easily as on the large Intellimouse. The scroll wheel also feels more "clunky" than the very smooth wheel on the Intellimouse, as does the "click" of the scroll wheel, and the forward/back buttons on the thumb-side feel just a tad off location-wise. Still, these are all pretty minor complaints considering it actually WORKS on my desk and the Intellimouse does not. The side-scroll (tilt wheel) functionality is quite neat, though my I had to install the SetPoint software on Logitech's website as the default Win7 drivers recognized the tilt-wheel and set it to "scroll 3 lines" per tilt, but nothing would actually happen when I tried tilting the wheel. After installation of the SetPoint software, though, it works as it should. And having one less wire to run behind my desk is really nice! I have to say, I really like the blue color version of this mouse better. This silver version looks okay but seems rather plain to me -- the blue stands out nicely while still being somewhat elegant. Overall, happy with my purchase for this price, though I might end up trying out a larger Logitech wireless mouse in the future. Oh, and the unifying receiver sounds like it is great if you have other Logitech wireless devices like a keyboard, but I do not so I cannot comment on it in practice.

Good mouse, works great on my glass-topped desk

Excellent mouse for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mouse to replace an old Logitech mouse that had dropped too many times and stopped working. This works very well and the feel in your hand is very comfortable. The only thing I would change is the scroll wheel. It is a little to easy to scroll and would be better if it had a little more resistance. Other than that, this is a very good mouse.

Worth buying when it's on sale
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As full-size computer mice (mouses?) go, this one is par for the course by today's standards. The scroll wheel also acts as a button, and can be tilted left or right to control left-right scrolling. I especially like that the mouse doesn't need to be "awakened" by pushing one of its buttons after a long period of inactivity. My previous wireless mouse would go to sleep after maybe a minute of inactivity, and I would have to wake it up by pressing one of its buttons (moving the mouse did not wake it up). Unfortunately, that button press would be transmitted to my computer, which then reacted as though I deliberately clicked on whatever random object was underneath my cursor at the time. I can't tell you how many times I ended up closing a window that I didn't want to close by simply waking up that mouse. Thankfully, those days are now behind me. The only thing I would like to change on this mouse is: The scroll wheel has one position in its rotation that feels like there's a small defect in the internal mechanism - almost like a rogue "detent" that I feel with every full rotation of the wheel. Fortunately, it doesn't affect the action of the scroll wheel, but it is a little annoying.

Good wireless mouse for a good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mouse for my home office, and it works great overall. The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, is when used with Google Chrome, the scrolling wheel is not very smooth or accurate. Google Chrome actually has an add-on that tries to fix this issue, but I still found it a bit "jerky". To compensate, I just "grab" the scroll bar with the mouse pointer and move it myself instead of using the mouse wheel. Overall it's still a really good product. Very comfortable, accurate on a variety of surfaces, 2 buttons on the side that work great for forward/back while Web browsing, and solid battery life. I definitely recommend it over much more expensive wireless mice, especially if you're using it in an office.

longer than average fingers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At 6'-2", I have hands that match my height and this smaller mouse still fits nicely without me missing my oversized, retired mouse. The scroll wheel could be a touch less wiggly while at rest, but other than that, it's great.

A great low price comfortable mouse.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for the cheapest, most ergonomic wireless mouse nothing can beat the M510. Has a decent weight with 2 AA batteries in it. The scroll wheel does feel tight but over time loosens up but not to anything intolerable.

So happy I chose this mouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a small Microsoft wireless mouse that worked fine for a few years, then today it started giving me issues when scrolling. I chose the Logitech M510 after reading the reviews--it works great. It's a bit heavier than my old wireless mouse but I really like it. I would recommend that if you are a heavy gaming user, the scroll wheel may not hold up to your heavy usage. For general internet use and productivity it will be just fine.

Great value so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the mouse with a good sale price attached and so far it works great. I actually replaced an old one of the same model which I have had for over 2 years. The scroll wheel on the old one didn't always scroll down my page but otherwise it worked great but used that scroll function so much I had to replace it. I use the mouse 5 to 9 hours a day so it has had quite a workout. It seems at that level of use the battery works for a very long time as well on this model.

Good hand feel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mouse has good hand feel and tracks really good. Roller wheel is a little sensitive. My father-in-law has arthritis in his hands and has difficulty with smaller mouse in the past but when he tried this one he was able to manipulate it without difficulty.

Great for the price - feels cheaper still
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does everything I would expect, just feels cheap if you click harder than usual. Scroll wheel leaves something to be desired. Wonderful for the price however!

Logitech M510 Mouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this is a great mouse with the exception of the scroll wheel has detents which don't allow for smooth scrolling and placement of the cursor.

A little less than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The description stated the mouse had zoom capability. True but misleading. It simply uses the scroll like any other mouse when a web page supports that feature. The forward and back buttons are located too far back - they don't fit my hand. I have to make a conscious effort to use them. This unit was purchased to replace another Logitech unit that failed. The unifying transceiver works seamlessly, allowing me to continue using my keyboard without tying up another USB port.

Good portable, wireless mouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a good wireless mouse. I bought it to replace a M510 I had for over a year. The scroll wheel suddenly stopped working on my older one. Feels good in my hand, although its a lot lighter than the older M510. Would have given it 5 stars but it just feels cheaper built.

Works but scroll wheel drags
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it works, but I had to return this item because the scroll wheel drags. It does not spin smoothly like several other Logitech mice I own. I got another one but have not tried it yet. I will update this review after I do.

Average mouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent mouse. Worth the price. The scroll wheel will go from smooth to stiff. Not sure why. Maybe I just don’t know how to use it properly.
