I was hesitant about switching to a trackball, but the Logitech MX ERGO Plus won me over quickly. The adjustable tilt feature is a lifesaver, especially if you spend hours clicking and scrolling. My wrist feels better at the end of the day, which is a significant improvement during long sessions at the computer. The trackball is incredibly smooth and precise. It works well for selecting text, editing images, or managing multiple open windows without requiring much desk space. I'm also impressed with the battery life, which seems to last for an extended period. Additionally, the customizable buttons allow me to set shortcuts for my most-used tools. While using the trackball is a pleasure, I’ve noticed that dust can occasionally accumulate around the sensor, causing the cursor to jump. Fortunately, this is an easy fix, just pop the ball out and give it a quick blast of compressed air, and you’re good to go. Overall, this mouse is a solid choice if you want something comfortable, reliable, and hassle-free for everyday use. It has transformed my work routine, and my wrist is grateful for it. If you’re curious about trackballs, the MX ERGO Plus is an excellent place to start.

I has started out with the entry level Logi trackball and it worked well, but the ball had a good bit of play in the base and the plastic felt thin and cheap. Everything about the Ergo is just so much better, the trackball moves so much smoother and the palm surface just feels great. The angle tilt feature makes this even more comfortable. The tilt plate is held with strong magnets, I haven't had a problem with it tipping unexpectedly. Battery life is great, I've been using it for about a month and it hasn't needed a recharge. I don't play PC games and only use the trackball for rendering. For a trackball that you can pick up in stores, it's a solid purchase. The only thing that's keeping this from five stars is the price.

I have a PC hooked up to my main TV and a laptop that I keep nearby. I usually use a wireless mouse or the touchpad, which is a pain for placement on the couch. However, with this wireless trackball I am able to sit comfortably on my couch and switch between either of the devices without switching between mice. With one device using Bluetooth and the other using the included adapter I am able to switch between them with just a click of the button on top. The ergo design and unique hinge base allows for it to be flat like a normal mouse or tilted 20 degrees to reduce strain. It also has an additional base that adds another 10 degrees to the angle to help even more relieve that carpal tunnel. The base has a nice grip to prevent sliding and is attached to the trackball magnetically. The ball itself is smooth, took me a minute to get used to as all I commonly use are mice. My fingers twitch too, so usually a trackball is hard for me to do any fine movement, however, they included a button for that as well, which switches to a fine tune. There are forward and back buttons as well and with the Logitech Options Software, you can program each of the buttons to your own liking. Though I have only had this for about a week, they claim the built in battery will last up to 4 months on a full charge, or all day with only a matter of a minute. Maybe in 4 months I can tell you how that has gone, but so far I haven’t plugged it back up since I received it, already saving me a set of AA batteries from my mouse.

Hi... Here's a personal review of my Logitech MX ERGO Plus Wireless Trackball Mouse based on my own personal experience: [and NO, I am NOT a bot, these are my own thoughts and observations] :-) I've been using the MX ERGO Plus for a good while now, and it has become my go-to mouse for both my tele-work days and during my personal leisure time. Here are my thoughts: 1. Ergonomics: The ergonomic design is a standout feature. The adjustable angle allows me to find the perfect hand position, reducing strain during long hours of use. It's comfortable and feels natural. 2. Precision and Smoothness: The trackball provides precise cursor control. I appreciate the smooth movement, especially when working on detailed tasks like photo editing or graphic design. 3. Customizable Buttons: The additional buttons are handy. I've programmed them for specific functions in different applications. It's convenient to switch between tasks without reaching for the keyboard. 4. Dual Connectivity: Being able to connect via both the RF dongle and Bluetooth is a plus. I use it seamlessly across multiple devices, including my tablet and desktop. 5. Battery Life: The rechargeable battery lasts impressively long. I charge it once every few weeks, even with daily use. Overall, the MX ERGO Plus strikes a balance between comfort, functionality, and aesthetics. If you're considering a trackball mouse, I highly recommend giving this one a try!

Took a leap to try a roller ball mouse. Started with the baseline model & was instantly hooked. Decided to go wild & try this top model and wow, yes quite an upgrade! The ergonomics are so high that I’m kinda mad I didn’t try this sooner, No more shoulder pain from too much mouse-work, I use this for heavy graphic design, audio production and everyday use. I bought a second one, one for each workplace. It’s a high quality build, never loses connection, stellar battery life & perfect ergonomics.

This is the best mouse ever invented. The whole world should use these. No arm fatigue from the friction of moving the mouse across surfaces, so its easier to work in smaller spaces (think: airline seats). Battery life is great. Charges quickly. And connects to multiple devices at once. Simply the best!

Sooooo, I've been using roller ball mice for 10+ years now. I absolutely adore them. This one is phenomenal. I absolutely adore it. The base of it is pretty strange, but after you get used to it - it is fine. It does come with a charge cord. It is easy peasy. Mine rarely needs to be charged up. I would say I have moderate-use. Week nights about 2 hours and weekends 4+ hours at least. I've had to charge mine once so far (so you have a reference point). I had the old version of this one with a cord. Mine was getting older and I just decided it was time. I am very happy with my decision!

Bought this for use with MSFS2020. My wrist got tired from constantly dragging the mouse around the cockpit. It fits in my hand nice, the track ball is easy to use especially in precision mode. Love that it connects either Bluetooth or via Unifying. My PC is too far away for Unifying, but works great with Bluetooth. Battery life is great. Have not had to charge it yet! Definitely eased the wrist strain.

One of the best accessories used with my nVidia Shield TV Pro, can be used while in bed, couch etc. I really appreciate the ability to either connect by bluetooth or with the provided wireless dongle. I also appreciate that I don't need to have batteries and can charge this when I'm not using it.

First off, Logitech has the market cornered on input devices. Next, I love trackballs for graphics work. They put a lot of thought into the design of this mouse and stuffed a lot of functionality into it. I ususally don't like internal batteries but this one lasts forever. I use it a lot and it still doesn't drain. I will forget to charge it and it always seems ready to go.

The best for lack of options...

I've been using thumb driven Logitech trackballs for over 20 years and ever since Logitech had to stop producing affordable corded trackballs for legal reasons this is easily the better of the two options in their product line. The good: The button switches are rated for significantly more clicks than their cheaper m570. The rubber coating on the housing and larger base overall feel better than the m570. Bluetooth and USB receiver connections can be toggled on the fly quickly makes this great for using on multiple computers. The battery life so far has been good for me. The ball rolls smoother, but feels like it has slightly more resistance than the m570 (the actual standoffs for the ball housing look exactly the same and you will need to clean them regularly like any trackball). The mediocre: The button placed above the trackball is too out of place to be of any significant use. I wish the mouse 4 and 5 buttons next to the left click were more like the m570's. The bad: The tilt feature is completely unnecessary. It offers no fine adjustment since it is all or nothing being held on with magnets on the bottom. There is nothing to lock the trackball in the flat 0 degree tilt mode so you'll have to keep your hand from resting too heavily on the right side and overpowering the magnets. People with large hands may find their pinky finger over and under the right side of the trackball. The bottom base plate has to be removed in order to access the off/on switch or clean the trackball guides. And the most bizarre thing I find on the device is the micro USB charging port is built in a fashion to practically force you to use the included charging cable only. The included charging cable is curved on the plastic housing behind the micro USB connector much like a USB-C cable and all the other micro USB cables in my house from various other devices will not fit because the plastic housing around the metal micro USB connector is too large and can't fit in the tiny space leading to the charging port.

The Logitech MX Ergo is a justifiable upgrade from the M570 and is the best trackball mouse (in my own opinion) on the market. I have one at my office, one at home and will not go back to a traditional mouse ever again! It takes some time to get used to, but eventually (after a few days) you move much faster and effortlessly on your screen. The MX Ergo has the trackball, two standard click buttons, scroll wheel and four other programable buttons. The software for the mouse can be downloaded on the Logitech website and from it, you are able to program the buttons for a plethora of shortcuts and macros. You can even get as detailed as to programing gestures and buttons for different aps. As an example, for excel, holding down one of the buttons and moving the track ball a certain direction allows me to copy, paste, run functions I use often and much more. You charge the mouse via a USB cable and I've found that it can hold a charge for about 6 months, (this is with the mouse on at all times too). The device overall is a complete upgrade as far as materials and design. I like that you can change the resting position of it and also that it is heavier and sleeker looking as well. The price tag is steep, but if you plan on using it daily, I find it a justifiable purchase.

That mouse is not the typical stuff you can get from the drugstore or the 99 cents store, it's not a cookie cutter gadget too. I can use it on 2 computers simultaneously, I don't have to drag the mouse on my table from left to right. it has a ball on the side and I roll the ball in order to move my cursor. It's wireless and I only charge it twice a year. That mouse was not cheap I was intrigue by the design. I love edgy gadget because I get tired from the same boring stuff. The right tool makes your life easy in whatever field that you choose to work and I am talking from experience sometimes a few dollars extra save you time and keep you on task at ease and you get the most out of your money. The focus is on your task instead of wasting time with the wrong tool or product. Sometimes we try to get an inexpensive product but we keep on replacing it every 6 months on the other hand you get a well designed product you are saving time and money as time goes by.

I have used a Logitech trackball for years at my desk to prevent RSI from leaning on my mouse and when I bought my new laptop started searching for a mobile, wireless version. After doing my research I chose the MX Ergo Plus and have no regrets. The bluetooth connectivity is a great plus point as my laptop interfaces seamlessly to the trackball without needing to use the USB dongle keeping my USB slots available. So far battery life on the trackball is excellent and when I do need to charge it the cable is provided. The feel under my hand is positive and I like that it can be set at a different angle if desired. The device is very responsive and well built as I would expect from a Logitech product. Even at full price this would be well worth the outlay, but when I bought it Best Buy had it on special offer - a win win situation for me!

I purchased two MX ERGO plus mice (one for home and one for work), and I have to admit that I am quite satisfied with them. The ball does seem to take a little bit of time to "break in" since it does feel a bit rough to move the ball initially. However, after a day or two, the mouse would glide quite easily. The charge also lasts a long time. It's been a few months since my initial charge, and I haven't had to plug in either MX ERGO yet. On the down side, the mouse is quite heavy, so it is a pain to take on a business trip. As such, I kept my lighter weight Logitech M570 as a travel mouse (with a small travel case). This seems to be a nice compromise for me! The fact that I can adjust the angle of the MX ERGO helps make it quite comfortable, and it is also easy to work with. It's a little pricy, but I highly recommend it if you are interested in purchasing this mouse.

Really great and comfortable to use mouse (after you get used to it). If you're accustomed to using a regular non-trackball mouse like I was this may feel awkward to use for the first couple of days. But, after 2-3 days of constant use, you'll become acclimated. After working endless hours, I could definitely say I haven't yet experienced any wrist pain and I've had this mouse for over a year. Battery life is great; last for about month or even more though I try to charge it once a month, so I don't have any sudden interruption and that's with leaving the mouse turned on 24/7.
