Best keyboard for Mac Users (or anyone)
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a MacBook Pro hooked up to a 34” curved monitor on my desk at home. As I’ve always used Apple’s Keyboards I will mostly talk about how this compares to that. If you own a Mac and are looking to change it up I highly recommend this. I had been using an Apple Magic Keyboard and Apple Mouse and recently switched to the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse when I heard about the MX Keys keyboard. I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. I like it a lot more than the Magic Keyboard 2 in Space Gray. It looks great with my setup and the backlighting works really well. I leave it off during the day and turn it on at night to improve battery life. The fit and finish is excellent, it’s very solid metal and heavy, it doesnt’ move around on my desk at all. It feels like Apple’s build quality. I have used Magic Keyboards since 2007 starting with the original and now I own several of the Magic Keyboard 2 and this MX Keys is the best replacement I’ve found that mimics the typing on the Magic keyboard with smooth scissor mechanisms and short key travel while making improvements. The little dimples in the middle of each key are really comfortable when typing. I like that the Logitech is slightly more angled than the newest version of the Magic Keyboard. I find the newest version a little too flat, this has about the angle of the first Apple keyboard that had the battery compartment. This also has lots of additional functions, all of the media keys work perfectly and can be programmed to other things, for example I have one programmed to put my system to sleep. This keyboard can also be paired to three different devices and you can switch easily. I’ve used it with my iPad Pro a few times on my desk but it’s really to heavy to be mobile. I hope this comparison helps some who are deciding between Apple’s keyboard and this as I think it improves on it in most ways.

Quiet and bright
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is a lot slimmer and a bit smaller than my current keyboard, K800, that I use in the office. I purchased this second keyboard, MX full-size, to use at home with my laptop when I am WFH. I thought of getting the MX Mini, but the price difference wasn't much and I do use the 10 key often. So I opted for the full-size version. I figured if I had to travel, I would not lug an additional keyboard to use. I would just use the built-in keyboard on my laptop! LOL When I do WFH, I typically work at my lift top coffee table and place my laptop on a stand, which helps with my posture so I don't slouch. So an additional keyboard was needed. Additionally the space I work at, is a bit cluttered and not a whole lot of room. As you can see in the picture. (I know, I need to clean it!) Which is why I decided to go for a wireless keyboard. One less cord to deal with. You can pair up to 3 devices and toggle through. But I haven't had the need to use it with different devices, so not sure how seamlessly it toggles between devices. I've only used it a few times since receiving it. So I have not charged it yet. I've been using it straight out of the box on whatever charge it had. So not sure of the battery life since it is not my daily used keyboard. I love the backlit keys. The smart illumination is a neat feature. As soon as it senses movement, it lights up. The keys themselves are quiet and smooth. It has good weight to it, so it feels sturdy. And with the non slip pads on the bottom, there is no movement. I do wish you could adjust the height though. It's a single solid bar along the bottom. Not a deal breaker by any means, just wish it was a tad bit thicker for a slightly steeper slope. The only thing I wish it had, was a storage place for the dongle. Kind of like they have for small laptop mice. I know it's not meant for travel, but for those who like to switch up their keyboards or those who don't have a dedicated space to just leave it out, I'm sure they would appreciate the small storage so as to not lose it when needing to clear the space or change keyboards. But that's my only little minor complaint. Overall, it's a great little keyboard!

Nice Keyboard with Plenty of Features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use with an older Mac mini and also to be able to use with multiple devices. I haven't had to use it on the other devices yet but I am happy with my purchase so far. The keyboard is not that quiet compared to the Logitech k750 I had before - it does have a definite click to each key that can be heard on a microphone. I like the feel of the keys and the way each key is slightly indented to ease your fingers into pressing the correct key. I purchased a mat to put under the keyboard so it didn't slide on my desk but there rubber feet on the bottom of the keyboard so that likely wouldn't be an issue for use on a smooth surface (one of my desks is wood and the other has a glass top). The keyboard is at a set height so be prepared for that - ergonomically it is good but I imagine some people would prefer it to be adjustable. It may be that I don't have it setup correctly, but the way I realized that it needed to be charged was the red light at the top right corner started being red. I was able to use it for a while before charging but at some point the backlit function stopped working until I plugged it in to charge. I left it on most of the month since I got it and use it 5 days a week for maybe 2 hours at a time. I think it will get more once I fully charge it and use it more frequently. The keyboard came charged and has lasted about a month before needing to be recharged. I am able to use it while it's charging so that is helpful.

Excellent Full-size Keyboard w/ a Great Feel!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Keyboard! Wanted something with a slightly smaller footprint, and this one fits the need very well! The keys are also spaced exactly like my full size Logitech keyboard (K800), but the whole keyboard itself is about an inch shorter in width. The keys are awesome - cupped to your fingers, and quiet. It's nice and heavy feeling, so doesn't just move around. Rechargeable with USB-C. Customizable keys, and you can connect it to 3 devices simultaneously. I haven't tried it, but from the sounds of it, could be a great feature to control 3 devices without a switch box.

Good keyboard, great battery life.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the fact that I can easily switch between my work laptop, personal & desktop computers with the quick press of a button. The keys feel good and are pretty quiet. The backlight is also a nice feature. The battery life is better than I expected. The only issue I sometimes have is when I switch to my desktop that's connected via the supplied USB dongle, it doesn't immediately respond. Seems to work better when connected via bluetooth.

Best Keyboard for Multiple Devices
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I want to say that I have used mainly the Apple Keyboard and the MacBook Pro Butterfly keyboard along with the Microsoft Keyboard before this. Second, I am a YouTuber and I edit videos using the keyboard a lot. This keyboard feels amazing! I love that you can switch between devices. I switch between my MacBook Pro 13", my Dell XPS 15 2020 and my girlfriend's MacBook Pro 15" and it's just seamless the switching. I have an iMac and I use my apple keyboard for that but I connect my MacBook Pro and Dell XPS to an external monitor and basically use it as a desktop a lot and It's perfect. Typing is amazing. In my opinion, perfect key travel. When paired with the Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse, this keyboard is perfect! And I love that it charges via USB-C! Overall, great keyboard and I would definitely recommend!

Great keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of Youtube video research and am glad I picked this one after buying an economy keyboard and returning it. I saw somewhere about needing to recharge the keyboard after just 9 days of use with the lighted keyboard option. I have been using it now for 23 days and have not needed to charge it again as of this date. I connected my PC, laptop, and tablet via wireless and Bluetooth and works fine. So much better having one keyboard for all 3 components. I don't know much about mechanical keys or not but I do like the feel of the keys and keyboard. Feels solid yet very sleek. A little pricey if you're not connecting to multiple components but very much worth it if you are.

My Favorite keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this keyboard, and I'm really happy with my purchase. So much that I decided to write this review. I'm a software developer and I write a lot. I also play a lot of games, but I'm not a competitive gamer. I took a leap of faith and bought this keyboard without knowing how much I would like it and let me tell you I love it. The key travel is just perfect for me, it's short as expected. But typing on it feels really satisfying. The backlight is awesome because most of the times I will be in my home office and being able to see the letter in the keys makes it perfect to avoid turning on the lights at night. I really recommend you give it a try. But if you are a competitive gamer and have to have mechanical then look elsewhere. Otherwise this is the best keyboard experience from logitech. It's a solid 10!

Finally – a Solid, High Quality Wireless Keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech MX Keys cordless keyboard is simply the finest computer keyboard I have ever had the pleasure of typing on! It is loaded with great features and will make every keyboarding task so much easier to accomplish that you will soon wonder why you waited to replace your old, inferior keyboard with this marvel. I have to confess that I just love Logitech products – they are always superbly engineered, are packed with great features and have always given me reliable service. Logitech was founded in Apples, Switzerland in 1981. Its first product was a computer mouse in 1982 that was adopted by several computer manufacturers (including Apple.) Later it was the first company to offer a replacement mouse to the consumer market. Logitech introduced wireless mice, optical mice and trackballs. By 2008 Logitech had produced over one billion mice. The Logitech mouse was followed by a wide variety of high quality products including a handheld scanner, keyboards, a digital camera, webcams, speakers and microphones. It acquired Harmony, the industry standard for programmable multi-equipment remote control devices, in 2004, then purchased Ultimate Ears, a creator of outstanding Bluetooth speakers, in 2008, bought Jaybird, a premier manufacturer of very fine Bluetooth earphones, in 2016 and most recently, acquired Astro Gaming in 2017. Here are the key features of this wonderful keyboard: • Logitech MX Keys wireless keyboard Y-R0073 (receiver C-U0008) • Dual connectivity (Logitech Unifying USB receiver or Bluetooth) • Wireless range approximately 33 feet • Rechargeable 1500 mAh lithium ion battery power • Typical usage on a full charge: 10 days (with backlighting), up to 5 months (backlighting off) • Includes 54 inch long USB-A to USB-C charging cable • Perfect Stoke scissor keys, spherically dished to match finger tip shape, 1.8 mm travel • Expected durability: 10 million keypresses per key • Keyboard compatible with Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linux operating systems • Easy-Switch keys to connect up to three devices and to switch between them, allowing seamless workflow across multiple devices • Logitech Options software to customize key mapping • Backlighted keys with proximity sensor to activate as hands approach keyboard • Backlight level adjusts automatically to changing ambient light or manually • On/off switch, caps lock light, battery indicator light • Designed to provide advanced functionality when paired with MX Master 3 wireless mouse • Dimensions: 16.93 W x 5.20 D x 0.83 inches H • Weight: 28.6 ounces • One year warranty The first thing you will notice is that this keyboard is solid! It weighs nearly two pounds and stays put where you place it on your work surface. This is really important for fast, efficient typing. Too many wireless keyboards are flimsy and slide around every time you put your hands on them. This keyboard feels like a finely crafted piece of machinery. If you like typing with a keyboard on your lap, this is your soulmate. It has the heft to provide you that all-important stable typing surface. This is also a very attractive device with beautifully sculpted lines. When you first place your fingers onto the keys you will note how perfectly the surface matches your fingertips. It has a slight elevation in the rear but is not adjustable. Some might prefer a bit more upward angle but I found it very comfortable. The feel of the keys and the travel distance for each key stoke is the best I have encountered on any keyboard since the long-gone days of the IBM typewriters. The black matt finish of the keyboard is non-reflective and is designed to resist discoloration from heat and chemicals. The white lettering on the keys is very easy to read against this background. The keyboard includes all of the special keys found on both PC and on Mac keyboards so users of either system will feel right at home. But to me, the star feature is the automatic backlighting which magically turns on when my fingers near the keyboard. I often go to my computer at night and having a keyboard which lights up is just a real treat. No more fumbling around trying to type an odd symbol in the dark. And the lighting on the keys is just ideal. Each letter or symbol is perfectly legible thanks to the superb backlighting! The ability to pair with three devices at once is another nice feature. I linked it to my desktop PC, my Fire tablet and a laptop I use frequently. This gives me the freedom to use multiple devices without changing my interface (keyboard and mouse) and from the same position at my desk. Another very useful feature is the rechargeable battery power used by the keyboard. There are few things as frustrating as working with a wireless keyboard and discovering that the battery has become depleted and that you have no replacements handy. More than once I have had to scavenge a needed battery from a remote control so that I could continue working on my PC. That will not happen with the Logitech MX Keys since it recharges from any USB port and you can use it while the recharging takes place. You can expect ten days to two weeks from a full charge if you use the backlighting feature and several months if you shut off the backlight completely. But why would you ever consider depriving yourself of such a cool feature? There are many other slick features (programmable function keys, copy and paste from one device to another, applying an alternate set of mouse controls, etc.) but you will find the core features described above to be more than sufficient justification to buy this superb keyboard. I am delighted to give the amazing Logitech MX Keys keyboard my full and enthusiastic recommendation!

I love using this with my mac and Win10 laptops
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MX Keys looks great and is just slightly larger than my trusty old A1243 Apple aluminum USB keyboard from 2007. I like a full-size keyboard + number pad and preferred the minimal size of the A1243 keyboard with no batteries/charging, but the MX Keys keyboard is so much nicer to use and the keys are backlit. A full charge using the included USB-C cable should last 10 days or up to 5 months with backlighting off -if you are into that sort of thing. I don’t need to charge the keyboard often. The dished center and smooth edges of the keys are very comfortable. I like the response of the keys while typing and they are quiet. The keyboard feels sturdy and has enough weight to stay put and not float around your desk. The backlight is a huge upgrade from my old keyboard. The keyboard backlight can be set manually to one of eight settings (including off), but it can automatically adjust intensity based on lighting conditions. The keyboard has a proximity sensor that detects your approaching fingers and automatically illuminates the keys. The keys will fade out about 5 seconds after your hands leave the keyboard, saving battery life. If your hand is still while resting on the keyboard, the backlight will time out after a longer period of time. The light is on again as soon as you lift a finger to type. I find overnight, the keyboard wakes from a deeper sleep and the backlight remains off instead of my usual on but lowest setting. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but not having to tap a key to wake the backlight is great. The timing of the backlight fade in/out working with the proximity detector works perfectly. Nailed it. Easy Switch is great. You can pair the MX Keys keyboard with up to three computers using Bluetooth or use the included Unifying receiver. Quickly switch between computers by tapping one of three Easy-Switch buttons on the keyboard. It is very easy to use this keyboard with two computers side by side. I use our windows 10 laptops on a stand next to my iMac and it is so nice being able to use the same keyboard for both instead of reaching over to the laptop keyboard. I’ve switched back and forth between Bluetooth and Unifying receiver connections on Mojave and Windows 10 and see no benefit to using the Unifying receiver and tying up a USB port if your computer supports Bluetooth. The keyboard remembers button assignments when switching between Bluetooth and Unifying connections or if you remove the device and add again later. I love this keyboard. I use this with two windows 10 laptops next to my iMac and using the same keyboard between two operating systems increases productivity. Wonderful that everything stays paired and I can instantly switch between machines with a quick tap of a button. *Logitech Options software: The Logitech Options software is easy to use, and it can automatically back up your settings to the cloud. Much nicer than their buggy G Hub software. The settings for the “MX Keys Wireless Keyboard” are organized on the Keyboard panel. There is also an Easy-Switch panel but that only displays the Operating system and computer name assigned to each Easy Switch channel. The Keyboard panel is straightforward. You can map custom actions to the 13 keys in the top row right of the esc key. You can also map different actions to the 4 keys above the numeric keypad. Selecting one of the keys presents a pop-up list with the Default key action, Keystroke assignment and Open application actions but you can expand the list to 36 actions including None. You can select the fn key to setup Duolink with a compatible mouse. This is the most powerful feature of the keyboard if you have the MX Master 3 mouse. The feature toggles a second set of gestures and button actions on the mouse when you hold the keyboard FN key. I modified the Screen capture key to capture Window instead of Full screen. The default action for the Lock key did nothing in Mojave so I set it to keystroke “Opt + Cmd + L” that I use as a Keyboard App shortcut to lock the screen. I’ve never found MacOS Launchpad useful, so I changed the key to App Expose. There is a checkbox to use all F1-F12 keys as standard function keys instead of media keys. The keyboard defaults to media keys. You can easily toggle between FN or Media keys by pressing the fn + esc keys and then again to toggle back. You can temporarily toggle the action of the top row by pressing fn + one of the keys. There have been a few times we experienced lag. I notice it when toggling the top row media/function keys. My son plays games on Steam and mentioned he experiences some lag. When he presses the same key over and over really fast and it didn’t keep up. *Using the MX Keys keyboard with the MX Master 3 mouse: Duolink is a great feature. You hold the FN key on the MX Keys while you move the MX Master 3 mouse or click the buttons. You can define another complete set of actions and gestures for the mouse and toggle them with the FN key. Tapping the Easy-Switch buttons on the MX Keys to switch between computers won’t automatically switch the MX Master 3 mouse. You will need to switch both. It would have been a great feature to automatically switch the mouse when you switch the keyboard like a KVM switch. *Using the MX Keys keyboard in close proximity to Powerplay wireless charging system: If you use the Powerplay to charge a mouse you will need to keep the edge of the MX Keys keyboard at least an inch away from the edge of the Powerplay charging base. When the Powerplay is on (plugged in) it interferes with the MX Keys proximity detector, keeping the backlight on all the time. My keyboard’s proximity detector is affected by the wireless charging pad if they are closer than 3/4 of an inch. *Compatibility with Java Minecraft: The Duolink feature doesn’t work well with Java apps, at least not Minecraft on Mojave. Using the “fn” key on the MX Keys keyboard while playing Minecraft can enable the Duolink feature on my MX Master 3 mouse and it stays on, like I am still holding the “fn” key. This continues even after switching apps. I must switch out of Java (Minecraft) tap the “fn” several times and/or press “fn + esc” to toggle the media/function keys several times while clicking the mouse to get Duolink “unstuck”. I normally leave my keyboard set to use the top row as Function keys. If you press the “fn” key while pressing a F1-F12 key the “fn” temporarily toggles the Media/Function behavior. This works perfectly in all my apps except Java Minecraft. Instead of using the “fn” key to temporarily toggle F12 to Volume Down I must press “fn + esc” to completely switch my top row of Function keys to Media keys, make the volume adjustment, then press “fn + esc” again to toggle the row of Media keys back to Function keys. Pressing the “fn” key even while pressing “esc” in java can result in the MX mouse switching into the stuck Duolink mode. Strange behavior that doesn’t happen with any other app and it doesn’t happen with my other keyboard. Logitech Options and Logitech G Hub software both have compatibility issues with Java Minecraft. Commands and customizations get assigned to the launcher app instead of Java -the actual game.

Your Home Office’s Upmarket Upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech is one of the very few peripheral brands that’s survived, and indeed thrived, through four decades of personal computing. Revered for quality products relative to their price, they have inroads to most of the major desktop peripheral and laptop accessory categories, often delivering one of the best value propositions in the category. It was only in the last few years that Logitech began trying for more premium market niches with the introduction of the MX Master mouse series, putting its engineering might into a device for those seeking a next-level device. The MX Keys Advanced Wireless Illuminated Keyboard launches alongside the third iteration of the brand’s MX Master computer mouse, completing the premium, wireless desktop setup. With a workflow-enhancing trick up its sleeve, this low-profile, full-size, backlit keyboard is a wonderful addition to the home office setup no matter what OS you use, even if they mix and match. - Unboxing and Setup The most noticeable aspect of the MX Keys Wireless Keyboard is its weight. This is a surprisingly heavy keyboard given its slim profile and shallow keys, which gives it a premium feel and holds the keyboard in place on your desk. Logitech includes a 4.5-foot USB-C cable in the box for recharging. An included, pre-paired Logitech Unifying Receiver lets you connect immediately and start using the keyboard in a standard device mode for either Windows or Mac computers, but the manual indicates further functionality requires a download and installation of Logitech Options software. The Logitech Options software is a 200MB download that, as strictly a driver companion, would be the weakest part of the entire Logitech MX experience. It requires an account to be created or linked to a Google or Facebook account to use the software, and doing so backs up your settings to Logitech’s own cloud to let you sync your keyboard settings across devices. The software is somewhat basic and allows for the usual litany of function key reassignments, but besides Logitech Flow there’s little that the software adds to the MX Keyboard experience. A nice feature of the Logitech’s MX device line is that they can be paired to 3 different devices once configured with the Logitech Options software. The keyboard can be paired via Bluetooth to any compatible device and this connection saved to any of the three device slots on the keyboard. These slots can also store a pairing to any Logitech Unifying Receiver and switching between them is a quick button-press along the top of the keyboard. - Design & Typing The low-profile keyboard mimics those included with high-end all-in-one computers right down to the materials quality, and the typing experience is about on-par overall, though it excels in some areas and falls a bit short in others. Touch-typing is a joy on this keyboard. Each of the key tops has a concave divot that adds much more to the experience than I thought it would, as this combines with the “chiclet” style keys to almost mindlessly adjust your finger positioning while typing and stay on target. It doesn’t seem like a keyboard that I’d be able to set speed records on, mind you, but in day to day use it feels quite natural. Unfortunately, the keyboard falls a bit short on tactile feel. Each key switch appears to be a “scissor” style of Logitech’s own design, as prominently featured on the box, but I can’t honestly tell these too far apart from a rubber-dome membrane style keyboard. It’s not to say the keys are bad by any stretch, but the resulting feel under the fingers will be merely adequate for those accustomed to mechanical keyboard switches. That said, these scissor style switches feel great for how little throw they need (I would guess a little over 2mm each) - I would compare this favorably to a good chiclet style keyboard from a gaming laptop. While the key selection seemed appropriate at first glance, mimicking a standard 102-key computer keyboard and adding a few function keys over the numpad, Windows users will lose the Print Screen and Pause-Break keys. Probably not an issue for most users, but worth mentioning. - Logitech Flow Logitech Options’ killer feature is Logitech Flow. Essentially a software-based keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) switch, Flow lets you control two computers using a single set of Logitech MX (and presumably other Logitech-branded) devices. While the trick would be neat enough in itself to control two computers, the software synchronizes both machines’ clipboards automatically, allowing seamless copy-paste and drag-and-drop integration between them. This works for both Windows and Macintosh machines, and you can indeed mix-and-match operating systems. The only limitations to Flow are that it must be used with two machines on the same local network, and both machines must be on and awake. Flow was surprisingly easy to set up and sync between computers. In my case I used my MX Master 3 wireless mouse to start the pairing (you’ll need to have at least one device that has a profile saved for each machine using Flow) and once enabled I had no trouble using a single mouse pointer and keyboard between two machines. The MX Keys worked flawlessly and was just as responsive once focus changed to the “remote” machine as the local. I can see this being incredibly useful for those juggling multiple computers for work. - Wireless The wireless range on the keyboard to a Unifying Receiver will vary based on interference - if it’s installed on a rear USB port on a desktop tower it may lose connection much easier than when it’s installed on the front. Regardless, the keyboard’s range exceeded 15 feet in my testing with multiple obstructions and did not drop keypresses. While this is by no means a gaming keyboard, a slight bit of latency was noticeable as I typed out this review, perhaps two or three frames (33-50ms) between a keypress and characters appearing on-screen. With a different, directly-wired keyboard this latency was non-existent. Logitech includes a USB-A to USB-C cable with the MX Keys that I plugged in hoping to mitigate the latency by using it as a wired keyboard, but unfortunately the port only charges its internal battery (though the cable did work for data transfer between my phone and PC). This device should be kept strictly to non-gaming tasks. - Bottom Line Gamers and mechanical keyboard aficionados need not apply, but for everyone else, Logitech’s MX Keys Advanced Wireless Illuminated Keyboard is all the keyboard you’ll need for home computers. The look, feel, and performance all match up to premium computer brands while maintaining compatibility with nearly all of them. What would have been an appropriate value at an MSRP of $99.99 becomes a great one when multiple device profiles and Flow capability are factored in; this could replace multiple computer keyboards in a single go. Logitech’s push upmarket into premium territory continues with the MX Keys Advanced, and thus comes highly recommended!

Love the Backlight Sensor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech MX Keys advanced wireless illuminated keyboard is sleek and clean looking. It has a nice black matte finish and is easy to set up out of the box. You just have to plug the USB receiver, that is provided, into the computer and it will automatically download the device driver. The keyboard is sturdy feeling, and does not feel like those other lightweight plastic keyboard bodies. I also enjoy how they use Spherically dished keys that feel like your finger are in little wells, allowing for easier typing and transitioning between keys. The only downside to this keyboard is that it does not have any optional riser’s on the back so that you can elevate it on an angle or not. This is a non battery operated keyboard, so you will need to keep the charging USB cord nearby that comes with it to charge when it starts to get low on power. (The same is true for the MX Master mouse that works seamlessly with this keyboard.) A couple of extra points. The customer service telephone number for this product is 646-454-3200 and here is the link that helps you download the Logitech Options software to manage your Logitech devices, which it instantly recognized https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/Optionjs_8.0.863.exe . You can either leave all of some of the function keys as they are or you can change them to do various applications. The think I like the backlight and its sensor the best. Once you put your hands near the keyboard there are sensors that make the backlight come on when the ambient lighting in the room is low. The backlight up and down F keys are F6 and F7. It says that if the backlight feature is disabled, which you have to go onto the Logitech support software to do, then instead of 10 days of power there should be 5 months. . The battery indicator is on the top right and when you turn the keyboard on, the green light indicator is green and will turn itself off, and when you get to 10% of battery, the red indicator light will come on and shut down the backlight feature. This is a thumbs up.

“I got the keys!”
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Logitech MX Keys Advanced Wireless Keyboard along with the Logitech MX Master 3 mouse on March 12, 2022, and I'm really happy with both products. The keyboard is incredibly comfortable to use, and the keys are quiet and responsive. The backlit keys are a great feature for working in low-light conditions. I've been using the Logitech MX Keys and MX Master 3 for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed with both products. They're incredibly comfortable to use, and they've helped me to be more productive. I've been using them with my MacBook Pro, Lenovo Thinkpad, and custom built PC, and they work seamlessly with all of my devices. I would definitely recommend the Logitech MX Keys and MX Master 3 to anyone who is looking for a high-quality keyboard and mouse.

Good but the compactness impacts function at times
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the MX Keys Advanced keyboard to replace my K400, which they don't make anymore. The typing action is excellent and quiet, and backlighting is very good. However, in terms of layout, I think Logitech tried to do too much 'combining' of functionality into a smaller footprint. The 3 Bluetooth selection keys take up real estate that, to be honest, should have been used for something else, e.g., volume and/or multimedia keys which are now combined with the F keys making it cumbersome to use them at times since the Fn key has to be pressed first. Also, I much preferred the larger size of the K400 so I could rest my palms on the keyboard. With the MX Keys keyboard, you have to buy an optional palm rest if you want that, however it's a separate piece and not connected to the keyboard. The keyboard works fine, so no problems connecting via Bluetooth with my computer, and I like the feel of the keys and the fact that the keyboard is quiet. All in all, not a bad keyboard save being a bit too expensive. I just wish the keys weren't so compacted and the keyboard was a little larger.

Fantastic for multiple computer setup
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a mechanical keyboard person, until I bought this. I have three computers at my desk. Work laptop, personal laptop, gaming computer. Rather than having to deal with multiple keyboards, or unplugging and plugging I decided to try this out. I'm very glad I did. It works perfectly with the Logitech MX Master series mice, with the Logitech Options software. You can setup up to 3 devices and move your mouse from device to device, and the keyboard just follows to whatever device the mouse is connected to. This function isn't flawless, but it works most of the time, even moving from Mac to Windows machines. Alternatively, you can use the 3 profile buttons on the keyboard to switch devices almost instantly. It takes a couple seconds for it to register it's connected to the new device. If you don't have an MX series mouse, this is how you'll switch devices, if you have multiple devices to connect to. The battery life is very good. I'm on my computer 9-12 hours a day Monday through Friday, and probably about 10 hours total over the weekend, and I only have to recharge the keyboard once every 2-3 weeks. And recharging is simple, since it's a USB type C port. It charges very quickly. I'm not sure exactly how long, because I typically just plug it into my laptop, and keep working and then at the end of the day I unplug it. I would guess probably 2-3 hours max to charge from almost dead to full, but you can use it while it charges. The option for bluetooth or Unified receiver is great. I use the receiver on my gaming computer, and bluetooth on my laptops. I haven't noticed any drops in connectivity or lag with either option. The key action feels very nice, if you like the "chiclet" style keyboards. It's similar to a laptop keyboard feel, but with a bit more travel, and obviously its a fullsized keyboard. The layout is very nice. It took a little adjustment to get used to it at first, but everything is where it makes sense for it to be. Overall, great keyboard, especially if you're already invested in Logitech's ecosystem with an MX Master mouse.

Best ever!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is crazy expensive compared to others. I would have never paid this much until I used it on a friend's computer. It is compact but heavy with excellent feet. It never moves while using. The keys have small indentions that feel great. The click is silent but you can feel it. I love that it is rechargeable and no batteries needed. It can be used while charging. It is expensive but if you use it 8 hours (or more) per day, when you figure the per hour or per day price it is negligible. Spend the money, you will be happy.

Really Happy with this choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really smooth keys and gives a really good experience. I really like the feature where the backlight turns on as soon as your hand comes close to the keyboard and after a long inactivity the backlight turns off. Can very easily switch between devices, it's a very quick switch. I'm also amazed by battery of this keyboard: I use it for about 40 + hours per week and have only charged it once in 1.5 months(and still going on)

Amazing and Wonderful 10/10 Would Recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm used to the Apple Keyboard, and needed a Windows Keyboard. I bought a mechanical keyboard and realized I didn't like mechanical switches and prefer scissor switches. The Logitech MX Keys Keyboard fit my needs perfectly! I bought this keyboard pretty much on how it felt in my hands in store at BestBuy without any prior research. I needed the following features in a keyboard and the Logitech MX Keys fulfilled all of them. -Bluetooth wireless connectivity. -Slim Profile -Silent Keys -Solid Build I was surprised by these additional features after buying. -Windows OS and Mac OS command keys are labeled <3 -Multiple computer profiles/switching <3 -Back lit LED keyboard <3 (I didn't read the box lmao) -USB C connection I added a photo of my Apple Keyboard as a size comparison. I added a photo of my coffee mug also as a size comparison. Story: I recently bought a new gaming laptop from BestBuy, I had also bought a wired mechanical keyboard elsewhere. I noticed how much I hated it. The typing was uncomfortable, it was mechanical, and was too noisy for gaming. I knew I would never accept that keyboard. I looked at my Apple keyboard and realized I needed something in the same form factor for windows. In a fit of rage and acceptance of spending my hard earned money. I went to BestBuy looking for keyboard. I was walking around like a mad man in the laptop area as I couldn't find the keyboard isle. An associate came up to me asking me if I needed any help. I responded with "Yeah, do you guys have keyboards that aren't $100?" Well, I went to the keyboard isle looked at the quality and feel of the keyboards on display. I starting to "mock" type and use the keyboards on display. After much deliberation I realized I was going to spend $100 on this keyboard. I literally ate my words from earlier. After testing all the keyboards I realized this keyboard was the only one that would meet my needs and bring me happiness. Caution: If you love mechanical keyboards this product might not be for you. I highly recommend going to BestBuy and being hands on with all the keyboard displays and finding the right fit for you. The only wrong choice in keyboards is one you find uncomfortable and awkward to use.

Great keyboard highly recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this keyboard, bought the mouse to match. It is perfect for those of you running multiple computers. cheaper then the apple keyboard and feels like the same quality. Functions with Mac OS and Windows, one keyboard for both systems on my desk makes for a far less cluttered workspace. bluetooth connection is stable keys are clicky and comfortable just like the apple keyboards and with back light turned on looks good in dim lighted rooms. Battery seems to last forever can get about 1 month use from one charge. Charging is from the included usb c wire and takes about an hour to fully charge, can be used while charging. Gaming is possible with this keyboard as I do all the time but is not ideal or really recommended.
