Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the comfortable keys, adjustable backlighting, and excellent battery life of the MX Keys keyboard. Many appreciate the ease of use and compatibility across multiple devices. While some find the keyboard heavier than expected, and occasional connectivity issues have been reported, the positive feedback on key feel and overall quality outweighs these concerns. The price point is noted by some as a potential drawback.

Great, but with one critical flaw.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While working from home, I found the Apple keyboard uncomfortable for long-term use. I would often find my fingers and wrist hurting so after doing some digging I found this keyboard and what’s not to love - the build quality is impeccable. They keyboard itself is super comfortable to type on, even with extended usage. The keys are backlit, like a laptop. Decent battery life. The more I used it, the more I came to love it. However, there’s one critical flaw that wipes away most of the stars: if you have File Vault enabled (which for most managed devices - is a basic requirement to protect your company’s and customer’s data) - this keyboard will disconnect anytime the keyboard is restarted / shutdown and cannot reconnect until after login. So what this means is when the login screen comes up, the keyboard absolutely won’t function and you’ll need another keyboard just to log into the computer and then this keyboard will reconnect after login. I’m not sure why Logitech hasn’t overcome this or if there’s plans to, but if you got rid of your stock keyboard and didn’t know this, you would really be SOL and I feel like that’s something that should be notated clearly - i.e. on the packaging and the first time you go to pair/setup the keyboard. The fact that you need another keyboard to use this keyboard, keeps me from recommending this. The only other thing I didn’t care for is that Logitech recommends downloading an MX software for Mac. They say it improves the experience but it annoyingly flashes across your screen — i.e. when caps log is on/off it flashes to let you know, which while you’re typing is distracting.

Posted .Hello, thank you for your detailed feedback on your MX Keys Wireless Keyboard. We are always looking for ways to improve our products, so we appreciate your review. If your Bluetooth mouse or keyboard does not reconnect after a reboot at the login screen and only reconnects after the login, this might be related to FileVault encryption. When FileVault is enabled, Bluetooth mice and keyboards will only re-connect after login. Potential solutions: 1)If your Logitech device came with a USB receiver, using it will solve the issue. 3) Use your MacBook keyboard and trackpad to login.
4) Use a USB keyboard or mouse to login. As you mentioned, with the Logitech Options software you can either enable or disable CAPS lock on screen notifications. I hope this information was helpful.

Fantastic Except For The Backlight
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the best laptop-style wireless keyboard I've tried. It is much better than Apple's Magic Keyboard and just as good looking too. But it has an annoying and highly distracting 5-second backlight timeout that can't be adjusted. It's bad enough that it's widely considered a defect. This can be fixed by Logitech anytime via a software update. People have been asking Logitech fix it for years, and instead of doing that, they released a new MX Keys S keyboard with that feature enabled in the Logi Options + app. To make people buy a new keyboard to fix the only flaw this keyboard has feels disingenuous. It does not engender brand loyalty. Logitech provides good products with distasteful experiences. Logitech will no longer be my first choice when I need a new computer accessory.

Great when it works.Disconnects from devices often
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really wanted to love it. When it works, it is awesome. Being able to use it on multiple devices is the main reason I purchased it. Now it disconnects regularly! Which is beyond frustrating. For the amount of money it costs! It should not have these issues. Sitting and waiting for up to 5 minutes to reconnect is beyond aggravating

Everything is good besides....had to return it
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything is good besides the backlighting. there's no control over it. you can not turn it on and off either on itself or in software. once it's activated, it's smart / leave it for little time it goes off, and when you approach your hands, it lights. that is annoying, especially at night...it as it states for mac, should work like mac. you turn it on, or off as you would like potentially with lower to high settings. You should be able to turn it on and off either with a slide app in like in macs or bottoms in anywhere in btw those 12 F keys or arrows. Just two keys for on/increase or decrease/off. that would make this ideal.

Posted .Hello, I am so sorry to hear about the lighting issue you are experiencing with this keyboard. You can turn it off/decrease the lights with the F5 key. You can then increase/turn it on with the F6 key. I hope that clears things up for you. Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we appreciate the feedback. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Continually unpairs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great feel, better than the Apple Keyboard. Unfortunately it doesn't work with during bootup, and it continuously unpairs. I've had it for a few weeks, and there's many copies of it in my Bluetooth menu where I wake up in the morning and it has randomly unpaired, and I have to go through the pairing process to use it again. I like how it feels, so I'm sad I'll have to return it. Pairing a bluetooth keyboard reliably should not require any tech support.

Posted .Hello TheEternalPanda, Very sorry to hear about the unpairing issue that you're having with the MX Keys for Mac. The MX Keys should automatically pair with your Mac as soon as it boots up once you've initially paired it. Here's a link to some tips on how to better link your MX Keys to your Mac: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023195654. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is now going better. iPad User Beware
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keyboard works with my iPad Pro, but often not well. Switching from my PC to iPad -- connection often takes 10+ seconds, results in very laggy performance (can type 10-15 characters ahead of what is displayed) and disconnects frequently. I often have to turn the keyboard off/on to get stable connection with my iPad, and sometimes have to unpair and re-pair the device. Would not buy this again.

Heavy, bulky and not completely made for Mac
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is very solid, if not a bit heavy. They keys are bulky and don’t always register. The keyboard doesn’t connect with the Mac until the OS is loaded, preventing one from holding down the option key at start up to choose which disk to start from.

Expected more.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Glitchy. When I’m typing it often pauses and I’ll get 30 spaces between a word randomly or it’ll just not catch what I type. Never had this issue w a Logitech product before so I’m surprised. My Mac is only 2 months old… wish I had bought the apple keyboard.

Terrible Customer Service
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a good experience with the product, but as others have mentioned, the Logitech customer service is awful. So if your purchase is entirely problem free, you should be good. But if not . . .

Great when it works
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a replacement Mac keyboard with function keys up to F19 and wasn't impressed with the current Apple keyboard's bang-for-buck. This was the only option I could find (aside from refurbished wired Apple keyboards). I still prefer the old Apple keyboard on tactile grounds but I have only one real complaint about this one. It is the most unreliable wireless device I have ever owned. That's stretching back to the dawn of Bluetooth and even before. Not just keyboards, not just input devices—nothing, not one solitary product, has dropped connection as often as this keyboard does. Some user forum comments suggest bypassing the USB dongle and connecting by Bluetooth but that's no better. It works sometimes, then it doesn't. I have both set up and switch between them when one connection dies. The most frustrating thing is that it charges by USB, yet there's no way to use a wired connection. I guess I'll have to shell out for the Apple. If you see this laying on the sidewalk outside my apartment one day, you're welcome to it but use at your own risk.

Pretty doesn't help this keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is as though the people at Logitech do not use keyboards. This keyboard is soo poorly designed that I am returning it and getting the K800 for the eighth time. The capslock key (which I have to disable in the MX Options control panel ) is bigger than the tab key. The keys are nice to type on and a little more quiet than my K800, but because there is no tilt to it, I am constantly hitting the command, alt, or option keys with my palm resulting in random new tabs opening or closing or application switching. It makes it impossible to write anything without thinking you just lost all of your work. It's a classic example of Logitech making it look pretty but not really considering what it is like to use a keyboard. When the command, control, and alt keys are bigger than most keys on the keyboard, you've got a problem. Also, the keyboard conflicts with previous keyboards so caps lock doesn't work and the drivers for the other models conflict.

Posted .Hi Jase. Sorry to see you're not satisfied with your MX Keys for Mac. The design for this keyboard was made with to mimic the Mac and Macbook keyboards. However, the nice thing about Logitech is that we do have many other options like you mentioned (the K800), that can suit your needs and comfort better. But if you have any questions, check out the Logitech support page at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050549434-Getting-Started-MX-Keys-for-Mac. Hope that helps!

Don't break a key
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Delicate, dust-prone keyboard, and if you damage a key (guilty), you're out of luck getting a replacement from Logi. 3rd party site are out of the key I need. Bad policies, worse support
