    Lower Volume Key Fails with Mac

    I've had a couple of these now, they work good for a couple months, and then the F12/Lower Volume key starts opening a debugging side screen instead of controlling the volume. It's the only key that fails. The exact same thing has happened on two of these.

    Awful usb receiver

    It is really an awful keyboard. It support usb receiver but it didn't include in the box. I spend 15$ online. But this new "blot" receiver doesn't support ANY current Logitech mouse, even the mx 3.

      Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the MX Keys Mini. I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with the connectivity of the keyboard. It is meant to be a Bluetooth keyboard, but it also uses our newest Bolt technology, which is our most secure and encrypted wireless technology, ever. Unfortunately, it does not use the Unifying Receiver, and only a few devices are using Bolt at the moment, but you can still connect it using Bluetooth. It is a great keyboard (I'm actually typing my response on an MX Keys Mini right now)!

    Worst Logitech Keyboard in A Decade.

    Horrible Connectivity Issues With Mac. I have had this keyboard for less than 2 weeks and unlike every other logitech keyboard that I have purchased, this one required 20+ connection attempts and eventually a call to tech support. Finally it worked, and then it worked fine, but today the volume would not adjust on the bluetooth and the same connectivity issues have again occured making the keyboard impossible to use. I love logitech keyboards, but this one is the worst I have experienced in over a decade. The keys, while soft and nice, make a squeaking sound as well, like a bike gear going around over and over. Odd.

    It's a backlit keyboard ***sometimes***

    If a keyboard doesn't have the option to be backlit 100% of the time, then it doesn't deserve to be called a backlit keyboard. Simple as that. At it's very best, it's a backlit *sometimes* keyboard. "Smart Illumination" is counter-intuitive, inconsistent, annoying, and unnecessary. Virtually every other backlit keyboard on the market is sold with the ability to enable backlight 100% of the time, I don't know why Logitech would randomly decide to go against such a widely-accepted convention and fail to explain it more clearly up front. If backlight solves a problem of visibility, why would you implement it in such a way that the problem still exists at times? It makes zero sense. "The backlit keys light up the moment your hands approach" - Logitech, Best Buy, readers, do you see the contradiction in this statement? The messaging around this product is genuinely misleading/inaccurate and should be corrected so that people like me who want a backlit keyboard (meaning ALWAYS backlit) don't waste their time or money on it.

    Keys on this keyboard are prone to failure

    I loved this keyboard until I didn’t. I’ve purchased 2 of these keyboards. On the first one, one of the keys stopped working after 16 months. I would depress it and it would not type the letter. So I purchased a new second one. Now after 18 months the “e” key on the new one has failed and sticks. I have not spilled anything in either keyboard. These are great keyboards but the keys appear prone to failure shortly after the 1 year warranty expires. Since they are expensive keyboards compared to other options that is disappointing.

    Back lit function stopped working less than 2 week

    Placed online order on June 16th 2024. Keyboard was delivered on June 26th. The back lit function stopped working a week after that and the return period ended on July 3rd - less than 2 weeks after the receipt of the keyboard! What a waste of money!!! I chose this keyboard for its back lit function.

    Like others have said - works great for a couple of months and then the volume down button on my Macbook Pro stops working (reset it) Then it stops connecting to my PC. I love the keyboard when it works. This is my third one and the last.

    Awful Backlighting. Junk

    Replaced my K810 I've been using for years which I loved but wanted to upgrade all my tech to USB-C. The backlighting on this is awful. In the dark, sometimes you have to hit several keys before the lights turn on. I can pick it up and shake it before the lights come on sometimes. Sometimes the lights come on for only a second then go back off so you have to screw around with it till the lights stay on. Makes it feel like a piece of junk.

    Can’t see the keyboard with lights on(white keyb)

    Great product but the white color with the backlight makes the keys impossible to see. I can type with out looking most of the time but if you get to a special character or code I find my self rolling my eyes trying to find a simple key. Finding my self turning off the backlight completely off to be able to see or you have to shut the light. One star because it’s something that should have never left production. “Apple like keyboard” apple have a black keys with back light and desktop Mac keyboard are not backlight enable.

    I'd give this a higher rating if it weren't for the terrible signal on the latest macOS Ventura. My laptop is literally right next to the keyboard and it constantly falls asleep and fails to wake and suffers from lag and stuttering issues. I can't even connect it via cable because it doesn't support that.

    This is a product design fail. I have a Mx anywhere 3 mouse and bought this keyboard to use with it. The mouses uses the unifying receiver and the keyboard uses the new bolt receiver so they arent usable with logitech flow together. I will be returning the keyboard tomorrow and wish i could return the mouse that ive had about a year already due to them not working together as intended with flow. Pretty disappointed

      Hi Brad, thank you for sharing your experience with the MX Keys Mini. MX Keys Mini is Logitech Flow capable using its Bluetooth connection. If you are using a computer that does not offer Bluetooth this would obviously prevent connectivity. I'm sorry that the new MX Keys Mini is not Unifying receiver capable. It does work Logitech's new Bolt receiver that is designed to be a better connection. The Receiver can be purchased on Logitech.com and using Logitech options you can pair the Bolt Receiver with the MX Keys Mini. I hope this helps to allow you to use the device.     Bad firmware control of backlight

    The backlight goes off on this unit, randomly and even when actively typing, support says update firmware, but The firmware update tool can’t find the keyboard, I’d return it, but missed return window by 2 DAYS.

    CHeck your Bluetooth Version

    Did not work with the older IMAC that I had even though the sales person said that it would. Too old a version of Bluetooth on the IMAC. But I returned it to the Geek Squad and got one that worked.

    I was using it to game with and if you don’t touch the keys for half a second then it turns off and you have to press the key again to register. Very annoying and I’m throwing it out

      I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble using the MX Keys Mini properly. The MX Keys Mini is not a gaming keyboard, which is why it has features that are counterproductive for gaming, such as the battery-saving mode that shuts off the keyboard. Try downloading the Logitech Options+ app from the Logitech website so you can adjust the sleep time intervals.
