When it comes to third party accessories for Apple products you can find nearly anything you want for the iPhone and iPad but for the Mac peripherals are a bit hit and miss for me. Most gear will work with both PC and Mac operating systems, but it’s primarily designed as a PC product first with the Mac as an afterthought. So, when I find accessories that are create specifically to work with Mac systems, I jump on them. One such product is the MX Master 3 for Mac. It’s an amazing product and my experience with it has been stellar. Logitech always seems to do a decent job of packaging their products. I find they don’t use too much cardboard and in this case, Logitech used ‘responsible packaging.’ It uses only FSC-certified paper and uses 90% less packaging plastic so that it’s environmentally-friendly. The box has a nice image of the product on the front as well as some decent information on the product. The box contains the mouse, a warranty pamphlet, and a USB-C cable for charging the mouse. When you first open the box there is a folded piece of cardboard that is used to help hold the mouse in place. It does appear that there should be something else in the box based on this style of packaging, but in truth, it’s simply holding the mouse in place. The MX Master 3 has a great shape and feel to it. It’s finished in Space Gray so it matches Apple products quite nicely. Users are able to pair the mouse with up to three devices and switch between them seamlessly thanks to the Easy-Switch button. This is great because it gives users the option to use one mouse for multiple devices rather than having to have a separate mouse for each individual device. The mouse has a newly designed MagSpeed Electromagnetic scrolling wheel. It’s very comfortable to use and with it, users can scroll up to 1,000 lines per second. It can toggle between precision mode and free-spinning mode. One of the things I like best about the wheel is that it’s nearly silent. The MX Master 3 is meant to be ergonomic and fit the shape of your hand. In addition to the standard right and left buttons as well as the scroll wheel, the MX Master 3 also features back/forward and gesture buttons and a thumb wheel. While I know this might not be the case for all users, the mouse fits my hand beautifully. I can rest the palm of my hand on the top while my thumb wraps around the left side of the mouse. My fingers reach all the interface buttons and wheels with ease. It’s been refreshing to be able to use the same type of mouse that PC users have and have it work with my Mac without modifications to it. The biggest complaint I have with mouses is that they are usually customizable, but only if you have a PC. The apps that are built for customizations just aren’t made to work with Apple computers and so we get the short end of the stick. Thankfully, Logitech has remedied this issue with the Logitech Options for Mac. With it, users can customize the MX Master 3 for their specific workflows. Several creative apps like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and PowerPoint already have predefined customizations. So it makes for a great accessory for Mac users and not just a device that happens to work with a Mac. Function-wise, the MX Master 3 has done everything I’ve wanted it to do. I used it with both my MacBook Pro and my iPad Pro. It worked really well with both systems. I didn’t have any trouble pairing them. I did, however, have a little bit of a hiccup on the MacBook Pro. When I first got the mouse connected, I noticed that fluid movements across a screen weren’t as smooth as they should be. I thought that maybe it was because the mouse needed a charge or I just didn’t have a strong Bluetooth connection. So, I waited until the next day to try using it again and there were no more jitters. I’m still not sure what the issue was, but I’m thinking it had something to do with Bluetooth interference. Finally, we Mac users have a professional-grade mouse to match our professional-grade computers. The MX Master 3 is a great compliment to macOS and iPadOS systems.

Works great with my macbook pro. Battery life is great as I haven’t even charged it after I first got it. (about 3 weeks ago” Feels premium in the hands. Buttons are customizable but I haven’t needed to do that yet. It’s by far the best mouse Ive ever owned but the last one I had was over 10 years old.

Great mouse! I purchased it with the MX Wireless Keyboard and I’m glad I got them both. The mouse syncs easily to three different devices and you can switch between the devices very fast. The mouse works on Macs and non-Macs. The battery lasts a long time before needing to charge. The mouse fits comfortably in my hand - my hands are on the smaller side. It’s easy to scroll and click on the mouse. I’d recommend this purchase.

I was looking to buy a new mouse for my Mac and I didn’t want to spend too much money but I ended up getting this mouse. I don’t regret it at all though. It is amazing for premier and photoshop and even safari. I love using the side scroll wheel for volume and scrolling through the time line in premier. The only thing I do not like is when the mouse is not on infinite scroll mode, it still feels like it kind of is. Smoothing is good but not great. Overall I would buy this mouse if you are looking into using pro apps like me. If you are just a basic user using safari and other basic apps, get a cheaper Logitech mouse.

The packaging is great and aligns perfectly with the keyboard (Although not sold as a bundle you should purchase the MX Keys for Mac keyboard at same time). The product paired easily and so far the battery life is great. Being able to recharge and not use batteries is a great treat. Make sure you have a USC-C port on your Mac (Older versions do not have) to ensure recharging. I would highly recommend this product.

I use the mouse for my MacBook Pro 2020 and it's really handy. It replaced the touchbar on my MacBook as well. As for the macOS version, it's optimized for this operating system. However, it will be a bit difficult to use in the beginning. But when you get used to it everything is really "smooth".

If you are looking for the best in 1-3 hour use sessions (4-6 hours per day) with high precision and great features, this is your device. Recommended for coders, casual to non-pro gamers (totally fine for most competitive gaming but nothing beats wired for hardcore pros), general use, and switching between laptop/desktop/AndroidTV/bluetooth enabled displays. Not recommended for those with wrist pain (though better than most). Go with the Vertical instead unless your use duration is less than 2-3 hours at a time no more than 1-2x per day. Works on glass, darker is better than lighter glass surfaces. You can try to find a brand with better software but you won't find it. Logitech Options is the best in 2020 and works for multiple models on multiple platforms with awesome features to use across devices at the same time. Go with another brand and get sad.

I ordered this for pickup not knowing it was "designed for Macbooks." I was a little dissoppointed when I saw that, but figured I'd set it up anyway. The build quality and weight to it made me not return it. It works just as well on a Windows PC.

I Loved the new MX Master 3 series. It best for MacBook or Mac OS. The mouse have all the features that will make your work on Mac OS smooth and fast.

I absolutely love this mouse. I have the keyboard as well. They are a match made in heaven. Much better than the apple magic keyboard and mouse.

I love this mouse very precise and I love how you can customize the controls. I use it for work on my windows PC, and my Mac mini setup.

Excellent mouse overall. The customizable functions through the Logitech options software are great, and the use of multiple devices is also great. The size of the mouse is relatively big, so if you have big hands I really recommend this mouse to you. And it is extremely comfortable. You can use it windows and Mac computers.

Love that this mouse was plug & play for use with my MacbookPro straight out of the box. Since I've been using this mouse for the last 2 weeks at least 8/hrs a day, my right-hand no longer cramps up like it had been on my previous blah mouse -- it's a very comfortable mouse. I've been using it with the main Adobe CS programs without any issues. Could be a little less expensive though ...

I got this as an upgrade from the original MX Master. I use it with my work provided Mac and iPad. Transitioning between devices is easy and I think the gestures make this the best option for Mac. Higher DPI would be nice but it’s still high enough to quickly move around dual 1440p monitors.

I got this mouse for my MAC after using the Magic Mouse and finding out unfortunately that the Apple Mouse is not a great fit for the software I use. So I changed out to the Logitech. Thus far this mouse has worked for everything I need, though the form factor is a lot larger than a sleek and slim Apple mouse. I am sure I am not using all the capabilities of it, but it works for my needs and that's what mattered to me...

This is the best mouse I've ever owned. I haven't used a mouse since high school as trackpads have been good enough. The best thing about this mouse is that it's compatible with iPads and you can save up to three different devices. So switching from Macbook Pro to iPad is flawless.

I love the feel of this mouse. However, it was an awkward setup with my Mac Pro. I used the USB dongle, which was unreliable. Features and feels of the mouse were great. Connectivity made it frustrating. It works great with my wife's PC - no issues there.

Very simple setup and no lag with the mouse. Nice feature to switch between devices, just wish it wasn’t in the bottom of the mouse. Works well with my Mac and asus laptops
