Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the ergonomic design, ease of use, and impressive battery life of the MX Master 3 mouse. The scroll wheel and customization options also receive high praise, with many appreciating the precision and responsiveness. However, some find the mouse too large and heavy for their preference, and a few have noted concerns about the software's performance. The price point is also a factor for some customers.

I used a lot of different mice over the years and this one is by far the best. The ergonomics are great, I love that it feels nice and hefty. The two scroll wheels are metal and weighted really nice, very smooth scroll action! Apparently there are magnets that control the main scroll wheel which is super cool. You can toggle between two scroll modes which is really nice. I have the Mac version which I'm not sure what makes it "Mac specific" but it works great. If you download Logitech Options you can customize what the buttons do, I have the the thumb button set as the "gesture button" which you can use in place of the macOS system gestures to access mission control, exposé, etc. The battery life is great, I work from home so it gets a lot of use. With my 40 hour work week I charge about once a month. Which I feel like is pretty good. Overall, excellent mouse, love it

I have used MX series mouses since the first version came out and have truly enjoyed using them and are very ergonomic, at least for my hand size. Somewhat large. You can't beat the customization options, especially when it comes to the Mac versions. Every model is a better version than it's predecessor, improving on the design, software, and functionality. I'm still trying to make the best use of Logitech Flow software.

I have been using an old Logitech mouse that came with an usb to plug in. The is nice when working long periods and having to use the mouse, my hand does hurt. The battery charge is good haven’t had to charge it since the first day I got it. I usually turn it off if I’m not not using it. Like the function with to open all the window s and move back and for with pages.

I’m not a newbie to Logitech products and in fact, I can say that they are my favorite supplier of aftermarket keyboards and mice. I’ve had this mouse for a couple of days and I can honestly say it’s my second favorite mouse. That isn’t a bad thing, because although the MX Vertical is my favorite because of the ergonomics of it, the MX Master 3 is a very close second. This mouse is very well made and has a high tech look, quality materials and good weight to it. This mouse is so customizable that I pretty much got tired of looking at all of the options and just starting using it. I was a little bit worried that it would only work for the Mac and iPad, but fortunately it works for Windows as well. I can say enough how customizable this mouse is. It’s truly incredible all of the presets you can program and how easily you can switch between devices. The fact that I can pair three different devices with this mouse and switch between them with the touch of a button, makes this a perfect mouse for travelers, tele-workers, etc. Pairing was as simple as holding the button underneath the mouse for a couple of seconds and it paired to my MacBook Pro quickly. After pairing my MacBook, I also paired my iPad Pro and my work provided Windows Laptop. I wasn’t able to install the Logitech software on my work laptop due to security, but it worked fine on my MacBook Pro. I also just purchased the MX Keys keyboard and along with the MX Master 3, I don’t think there is a better combination of wireless devices. No cords, no more multiple keyboards and mice for different operating systems and the 4000 DPI sensor makes this mouse thing move. Unlike Apple’s mouse, this thing uses a USB-C to USB-C cable and you can use it while it charges. Before I started using it, I charged it completely and have worked about 18 hours with it and it’s still fully charged. I do switch it off when I’m done for the day, but it seems like it holds a charge well. All in all, I think Logitech has hit every mark with this mouse and with their latest product offerings. I don’t think there is a better wireless mouse on the market other than their own MX Vertical. I would definitely recommend this mouse and while you’re at it, pick up the MX Keys as well. You won’t be disappointed.

    Ergonomic Nextgen Mac Mouse

Logitech Mac version of MX Master 3 is designed for Mac & iPad users that features a space gray finish to complement the finish of MacBook or iPad. This mouse is designed ergonomically and is very comfortable to hold and has a thumb area with back and forward buttons, gesture buttons and a thumbwheel. It has a next generation MagSpeed magnetic scroll wheel(uses electromagnetic pulses) which automatically shifts between line by line scrolling and can track anywhere. You can also switch between the ratchet and free spin scrolling by a touch of button. It has lot of customization options that can programmed to different applications via Logitech options software. Like previous MX master this mouse can be connected up to 3 devices using Bluetooth (doesn’t come with usb dongle). It works as expected with Windows OS with no functionality loss. I have paired this mouse with Mac, iPad and Windows 10 and it works great. Also, this mouse uses the gesture button to emulate the three finger gestures from the magic trackpad for mac users. Battery is great with 70 days of use on a full charge and 3 hours of use from one minute of charging. Also, the charging cable that is included in the package is USB-C to USB-C for fast charging. Overall, great ergonomic, customized mouse with lot of features for mac and for someone looking for the alternative to apple magic mouse 2.

When it comes to third party accessories for Apple products you can find nearly anything you want for the iPhone and iPad but for the Mac peripherals are a bit hit and miss for me. Most gear will work with both PC and Mac operating systems, but it’s primarily designed as a PC product first with the Mac as an afterthought. So, when I find accessories that are create specifically to work with Mac systems, I jump on them. One such product is the MX Master 3 for Mac. It’s an amazing product and my experience with it has been stellar. Logitech always seems to do a decent job of packaging their products. I find they don’t use too much cardboard and in this case, Logitech used ‘responsible packaging.’ It uses only FSC-certified paper and uses 90% less packaging plastic so that it’s environmentally-friendly. The box has a nice image of the product on the front as well as some decent information on the product. The box contains the mouse, a warranty pamphlet, and a USB-C cable for charging the mouse. When you first open the box there is a folded piece of cardboard that is used to help hold the mouse in place. It does appear that there should be something else in the box based on this style of packaging, but in truth, it’s simply holding the mouse in place. The MX Master 3 has a great shape and feel to it. It’s finished in Space Gray so it matches Apple products quite nicely. Users are able to pair the mouse with up to three devices and switch between them seamlessly thanks to the Easy-Switch button. This is great because it gives users the option to use one mouse for multiple devices rather than having to have a separate mouse for each individual device. The mouse has a newly designed MagSpeed Electromagnetic scrolling wheel. It’s very comfortable to use and with it, users can scroll up to 1,000 lines per second. It can toggle between precision mode and free-spinning mode. One of the things I like best about the wheel is that it’s nearly silent. The MX Master 3 is meant to be ergonomic and fit the shape of your hand. In addition to the standard right and left buttons as well as the scroll wheel, the MX Master 3 also features back/forward and gesture buttons and a thumb wheel. While I know this might not be the case for all users, the mouse fits my hand beautifully. I can rest the palm of my hand on the top while my thumb wraps around the left side of the mouse. My fingers reach all the interface buttons and wheels with ease. It’s been refreshing to be able to use the same type of mouse that PC users have and have it work with my Mac without modifications to it. The biggest complaint I have with mouses is that they are usually customizable, but only if you have a PC. The apps that are built for customizations just aren’t made to work with Apple computers and so we get the short end of the stick. Thankfully, Logitech has remedied this issue with the Logitech Options for Mac. With it, users can customize the MX Master 3 for their specific workflows. Several creative apps like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and PowerPoint already have predefined customizations. So it makes for a great accessory for Mac users and not just a device that happens to work with a Mac. Function-wise, the MX Master 3 has done everything I’ve wanted it to do. I used it with both my MacBook Pro and my iPad Pro. It worked really well with both systems. I didn’t have any trouble pairing them. I did, however, have a little bit of a hiccup on the MacBook Pro. When I first got the mouse connected, I noticed that fluid movements across a screen weren’t as smooth as they should be. I thought that maybe it was because the mouse needed a charge or I just didn’t have a strong Bluetooth connection. So, I waited until the next day to try using it again and there were no more jitters. I’m still not sure what the issue was, but I’m thinking it had something to do with Bluetooth interference. Finally, we Mac users have a professional-grade mouse to match our professional-grade computers. The MX Master 3 is a great compliment to macOS and iPadOS systems.

This new MX Master 3 now has a Mac-specific version that brings power and customization that Apple’s minimalist Magic Mouse seems to ignore. The feel in my hand is perfect and ‘fits like a glove’. Logitech has a companion app that lets you customize specific Apps, and the Fast Switch button lets you click a button to move between devices (MBP, iPad w/iOS mouse support, iMac, even Windows). I’ve used many Logitech products, but this is easily one of the nicest I’ve reviewed. PROS ——— + impeccable ergonomics + 4,000 DPI laser sensor + incredibly precise tracking + seemingly unlimited battery + Good button responsiveness + Scroll wheel is solidly notched + Fast switch between 3 devices + Horizontal scrolling side button + Space grey color matches MBP, iPad + USB-C cable allows charing during usage + Side buttons can be assigned to Forward / Back + Configurable App specific shortcuts (Photoshop, etc) CONS _______ -lack of (battery draining) RGB gaming lighting -thumb button layout designed only for right handed usage (not left pinky) -not quite as fast as MBP 2015 trackpad, maybe it can’t keep up -“Flow Control” behaved slightly quirky for me, but not a deal-breaker -usually I have 50-60% cons as pros, but not here, this is really NICE !! CONCLUSION ——————— One of, if not ‘THE’ nicest mouse I’ve used on any platform. And because it’s made for Mac makes it all that much better. Logitech hit a home run on this product.

This thing goes everywhere with me. The button layout, build quality, and ergonomics are such a huge step up from an apple Magic Mouse or any other mouse that will come with a computer out of the box. Very worth the money if you’re anyone using a computer at ANY job. Battery life is great and Bluetooth functionality has never been a problem. The only thing I could see being an issue is this mouse not being suited for outdated computers, but that’s to be expected with such a perfect current day wireless mouse. I would also urge users and future buyers to pick up a little case on Amazon for $10-20 to keep the mouse safe during travel.

Might Be The Best Mouse I've Ever Owned

If you don't read my full review, just know that the MX Master 3 by Logitech just might be the best mouse I've ever used. I've been using this mouse for over a month now and I've been really happy with it. As a Mac user, I personally enjoy the Apple Magic Mouse and was hesitant to switch. I've used the magic mouse since it was first released back in 2009. The main reason that I bought the MX Master 3 is because I'm starting to use software applications that really benefit from having a 3rd button middle mouse click. Set Up Set up was really intuitive. Simply go to the logitech url found in the packaging to download the software and follow the instructions. Features This is a mouse truly aimed at professional users. It's packed with highly useful and customizable features. The magspeed scroll wheel is super smooth and the added button allows you to choose between two scrolling modes; glide or step. You have other customizable buttons that allow you to set up custom shortcuts based on the program you're using at the time. You can pair your mouse with up to 3 different devices which is perfect for a multi-computer set up. Once you have your devices paired, you can simply press the button on the "1-2-3" bottom and with the click of a button switch to another device without the need to pair using menus on your computer. Just set it and forget it. The software based feature "Flow" allows you to switch between multiple computers in real time by hovering your mouse into a hot corner. In other words, you can have an iMac and Macbook Pro on your desk and use one mouse to control them both, seamlessly switching between computers as if it was a dual monitor set up. The tracking on this mouse is unbelievable. With it's 4000dpi tracking, you can literally track on glass. You can't even do that with Apple's Magic Mouse. Ergonomics The ergonomics are fantastic and it's really comfortable under heavy periods of use. Cons The software doesn't give you the ability to check the battery level. So at any given point, you're not sure if you're close to needing a charge or not. From all of the other reviews that I've read, the battery life is amazing. So far after a month of heavy use, I have not had to recharge the battery yet. Build Quality Originally I had purchased the Logitech MX Master 3 (Mid Gray - Model: 910-005692 - SKU:6404089). I ended up returning that one because after about a week of use the gray started to discolor and turn yellow. No idea why. I'm happy to report however, that I have not had this issue with the MX Master 3 for Mac. This is a really well built mouse and despite my experience with the gray version, I feel like the mouse is made from otherwise premium materials including soft touch rubber, machined metal and quality plastic. Bottom Line If you're a working professional or just spend a lot of time in front of a computer and appreciate great tracking, ergonomic design, custom functionality. This mouse is for you.

After using the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad the last few years this feels great in my hands. No more cramping, much more precise movements when doing detail-oriented tastes like music notation and graphic design, and lots of ability to customize the functions of the buttons. I’m using with my 2018/2020 Mac Mini and the USB Unifying receiver. It works much better plugged directly into the Mini vs a USB hub. The Unifying receiver also works better than using Bluetooth. You are able to use the Unifying receiver for one device and Bluetooth for another like an iPad which is nice. I’ve been a big fan of Logitech accessories for a long time and this does not disappoint!

While expensive, there is no question that this mouse is a solid upgrade from the Magic Mouse provided by Apple. Great feel, amazing battery life ( it can last weeks upon weeks on a single charge) and customizable functions to improve your workflow. The scroll wheel has tactile feel for individual scrolling, when disengages and operates like a flywheel when zooming through long documents, like spreadsheets with thousands of entries. Truly cool! Great investment!

This mouse is certainly something special. No fancy or gimmicky features. Everything that has been included into this mouse can and will actually speed up your workflow and production. The shape is literally perfect: just snuggly fits right into your grip, no matter how big or small your hands are. Ergonomics are A1! The Ultrafast MagSpeed scroll wheel is probably my favorite feature of this mouse. With older mouses, my fingers and hand would ache over time from scrolling through large documents or rummaging through web pages looking for a specific product. However, for anybody into music production, the thumb wheel is revolutionary for horizontal scrolling and scrubbing through long tracks. I've never used a mouse before with this feature in it and now I can't even imagine not having it. Clicks are nice and real "clicky". Very tactile... while still maintaining a semi-silent volume, not being overly distracting. The gesture button to bring up the Launchpad on your Mac works flawlessly as well. The battery is the best I've ever used in a mouse. This thing just doesn't die, I'm convinced. I've used it for nearly a week straight with no sign of battery drainage or loss of performance. It's honestly just an amazing mouse and once you get it, you'll wonder why you didn't get it sooner.

This is an incredible mouse for productivity purposes, especially so if you find yourself not liking the Magic Mouse option from Apple. The responsiveness and accuracy of the sensor is capable for any application (at least all the ones a typical user would have). The scroll wheel is really top notch and the ergonomics of the mouse, while it may take a few days to get used to if you've not used a logitech MX mouse, feels incredibly comfortable. As far as the integration into MacOS, this mouse does a good job of offering many of the same capabilities as the Magic Mouse and/or the trackpad (if you're using it with a Macbook product like me). The required software offers a good amount of personalization for both general use and in specific applications. Overall, while this product is on the pricier side of mice, I think it is well worth the cost and can be a big boost to someone looking for productivity/ergonomic focused products.

Usually if I need something tech related I’ll buy it from Apple so my ecosystem stays uniform. So when my Magic mouse kicked the bucket and I had some friends recommend I upgrade to the MX. I was blown away, this is by far the best mouse used. MX Master 3 dominates the Magic mouse in every category. You have the ability to change the mouse clicks to preform different tasks, depending on the app you are using. I never thought configurability for a mouse could become so in depth, but if you take time to hone into your specific needs this mouse will do all the hard work for you. This quickly became a tool I can’t live without, I even bring it to class. Plus, it fits perfectly into your palm, 10/10.

I've gone through a lot of bluetooth mice. As a Mac user dongles are a non-starter - however bluetooth accessories are a mixed bag. This one reconnects very quickly from sleep which is always the number one problem. Tracking is great, very ergonomic design, button clicks are a bit loud for my taste, but nothing out of the ordinary. The configuration is incredible though - each and every button can be configured even on the mac. They can be mac specific commands (Mission Control or changing desktops) or just any keyboard shortcut. They can even be app specific for instance I have the back button set for back while in a web browser, but I have it set to do something entirely different in a non-browser app. Battery life isn't super long, but the USB-C charging port makes it easy to do - and it can even be used while charging.
