Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the keyboard's quality, ease of use, and the inclusion of convenient features like volume control. Many appreciate the price point and the simple, effective design, although some wish for RGB lighting and a wrist rest. Positive feedback frequently highlights the software's customizability and the responsiveness of the keys. However, the lack of RGB lighting options was a common point of criticism.

Finding a solid build quality back-lit mechanical switched board without a set of macro keys to the left but with a conventional right-side numpad narrowed down my choices. Luckily, the G610 (red) has proven to be an excellent fit for my use. Mechanically this board is the best I've ever used; coming from flagship Corsair, Razer and Roccat entries over the past 5 years. Standard key shapes, conveniently placed media keys. uniform actuation, minimalistic design. Really a joy to use. I've experienced some issues from the software controller, however. Even with gaming profiles disabled and the gaming mode switch off the software was somehow rendering all function keys (F1-F12) useless. I could see it was detecting the presses, and whether mapped as "default" or manually to show "F1 = F1" the presses did nothing. It wasn't until I manually deleted every one of the automatically generated game profiles that the F keys began to work again.

Perfect keyboard with the Cherry switches. Simple design, no wrist rest, and basic white backlighting. Specific keys can be programmed to be lit or not.

The keyboard looks good and the customization with its software makes it much better but the feeling that you get when you press the keys does not feel good at all.

    Excellent Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

I've been using the Logitech Proteus Core Gaming Mouse (now called the G502 Proteus Spectrum) for a few years now and I've always loved Logitech's gaming mice. Their track record on Mechanical keyboards has been hit and miss. Some of their previous Orion keyboards have had odd design decisions like concave keys. Also, in a works where Cherry is the ubiquitous choice for a quality microswitch that comes in a variety of flavors, the Logitech exclusive "romer" switches were an odd marketing move. I was considering the Corsair K90 RGB or the K70 but this keyboard was on sale for $59 so I took a chance on Logitech and I am very happy. ALL of my previous worries about Logitech Keyboards have been reversed. The Keyboard has a VERY hefty feel to it. The USB cable is braided and very thick. The lighting effects can be adjusted using the Logitech Gaming software ( I like that there is one piece of software for both the keyboard and mouse). I have played several games and tyed a bunch with it and it feels fantastic though will take a little getting used to since the Logitech K330 Keyboard I am migrating from has a much shorter travel distance on the keys so I will spend a few weeks with more typos than before. Typing feels very fast on this keyboard. It's hard to explain but its almost like on my old keyboard the additional force required to press each key down slowed me down and after typing for a long time, my fingers would get fatigued. Not so fatigued that they hurt or anything like that, but now that it takes almost no force to type, when i go back to the old keyboard it's Night and Day. Great Keyboard, Highly recommended, especially if you can get it under $99 Pros- Plain Black minimalist design (more of a personal preference of mine than a pro for everyone) Very hefty feel, thick rubber feet so the keyboard doesn't budge 2 levels of height adjustment Logitech Gaming Software is intuitive, Macros are awesome Volume adjustment wheel is huge, easy to find without having to take eyes off monitor Cons- No RGB-Doesn't seem like a huge deal but if you game a lot, its nice to load the profile for a game and have certain keys be lit up so you know where all your options are Thoughts- Would be nice if the USB cable were longer for cleaner cable run options for folks with large desks

This was the first mechanical keyboard I have ever owned, so I was very impressed with it. The Cherry MX Red switches are a little loud, but just quiet enough for my liking, the only complaint i have about the keyboard is the lighting effects don't always work, the G logo doesn't light up if you have your pc in sleep mode. I don't know if this is just my keyboard or not, it is easily fixed with the Logitech app. The keyboard is sleek but stylish, definitely recommend to someone who is looking for a good keyboard on a budget, I would not pay 120 for this keyboard because of the issues i've been having with the lighting, and Logitech doesn't want to help me figure it out, but other than that, amazing board.

    Overpriced flotsam

Flimsy and gimmicky. $30 for this would've been OK. $100 is outrageous. Had I known I'd be investing in such an inferior product I'd have held onto my money. Collects debris and gunk way too fast. Keys falling out w/in first few days. Hamfisted software. It looks cool, that's about it. The volume scroller is decent, too I suppose. Less than 2 years into this device, missing, broken keys. I have a very light touch, incidentally. Aside from that it's largely a waste of money.
