Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the keyboard's quality, ease of use, and the inclusion of convenient features like volume control. Many appreciate the price point and the simple, effective design, although some wish for RGB lighting and a wrist rest. Positive feedback frequently highlights the software's customizability and the responsiveness of the keys. However, the lack of RGB lighting options was a common point of criticism.

    Great Mechanical Keyboard

Solidly built and pretty compact. The Cherry MX Red keys are not exactly silent, but much quieter and require lighter actuation pressure than blue switches. The backlight settings are neat, but I knocked it back a bit for the software-based control. Other, non-Logitech backlighted mechanicals already have these functions onboard. I use it for typing, and it feels great to me. Love the cylindrical volume control too.

Great keyboard. Love the simplistic design, responsive feel of red switch, and the overall solid feel of the build quality. Works very well with the Logitech Gaming Software. The only problem/drawback is that the LED lights will not turn back on if the computer sleeps or shutdown when the LED is turned off by pressing the LED button on the keyboard; only the G symbol lights back up. The problem can be fixed by reseting the computer after turning the lights on via LED button. Does not really bother me because I use the lights just to see the keyboard at night with the room light off.

Finding a solid build quality back-lit mechanical switched board without a set of macro keys to the left but with a conventional right-side numpad narrowed down my choices. Luckily, the G610 (red) has proven to be an excellent fit for my use. Mechanically this board is the best I've ever used; coming from flagship Corsair, Razer and Roccat entries over the past 5 years. Standard key shapes, conveniently placed media keys. uniform actuation, minimalistic design. Really a joy to use. I've experienced some issues from the software controller, however. Even with gaming profiles disabled and the gaming mode switch off the software was somehow rendering all function keys (F1-F12) useless. I could see it was detecting the presses, and whether mapped as "default" or manually to show "F1 = F1" the presses did nothing. It wasn't until I manually deleted every one of the automatically generated game profiles that the F keys began to work again.

The keyboard works really well and I like the feel of it as well. It can be a little noisy but that can be fixed with some noise dampeners. I have only had the product for about a month so I cannot provide any long term impressions but I think it is a good entry point for mechanical keyboards if you are able to snag it on sale.

I love the keyboard I love the price (especislly with a good Best Buy sale) My only gripe is that you must install Logitech software or it will not default to a simple backlight, but a wave of brightness across the keys. While this looks cool in a showroom, it forfeits the functionality of the backlight for style. In the end I’m still glad I bought the keyboard, but until you login you get the default wave of lights reminding me of the one gripe. Simply changing the default to solid bright background even if software wasn’t installed would move this to a 5 star product in my book.

Very nice keyboard for the price. Not cheap, but mechanical keyboards can be expensive. The Cherry Red MX Switches are very responsive pretty quiet unless you bottom out. I like the media and volume controls, come in handy when listening to music. I like the different keyboard lighting profiles when using the Logitech software, also very helpful. I recommend.

Wanted a keyboard that illuminated because I work late at night and didn't want to disturb wife with light on. Works well, has 3 different illumination modes. Only thing that I do not care for is that when the illumination is one, it's light is a wave machine. Lights starts on left side then rolls to right. Wish it had a solid lighting position. Other than that, price was nice.

GREAT KEYBOARD with some slight gripes

Key caps with two characters, e.g. colon/semi-colon, have their vertical order switched leading to the more than normal grammatical error and that's being a fairly proficient touch typist. LED backlighting is not nearly as bright on both characters in these same keys as well to the point that the secondary character can be barely discernible in low lighting situations. Not bad but not the best for typing, but that's what comes with using Cherry MX Red key switches as opposed to Cherry MX Browns; not a negative, just it is what it is. Overall great quality keyboard and if it fits the bill of what you're looking for than would highly recommend.

I purchased this when it was on sale for $85. For a Logitech product, this is what you'd expect. Cherry MX red switches. The LED backlight is actual white LED's, so the refresh rate of them will not bother your eyes while using. When Windows is locked, it has a 'wave' lighting effect. If I had any complaints about the laptop, it's that it has a very thick braided cord, but the laptop does not have any additional USB ports built in, particularly for a mouse. There's nothing to comment on the keys since they are Cherry MX. If you're looking for RED switches, this fits the bill!

Admittedly, when I first started using this keyboard, i felt it was overly senstiive especially for non gaming purposes. It forces me to be a little more accurate in my typing as well. In time, i've grown to become much more accurate on it, and i'm almost as accurate on it as a standard issue HP or acer keyboard. For gaming it is responsive and you won't notice the high sensitivity as much. Typing long essays is not the most comfortable on this, but that's not really its intended purpose.

This is a mechanical keyboard with white backlight. My wife initially said the keys seemed a little stiff, but she has adjusted to them pretty quickly. The key movement is smooth, and feels softer to me then my own mechanical keyboard (an older Corsair Vengeance K70), but she seems to prefer that. The Logitech gaming software (which I downloaded and installed) is decent, but you don't need it to use the keyboard. Price was fine, especially for name-brand mechanical keyboard.

    Not a Bad Mech

A decent mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX reds, including white LEDs. The Logitech software allows for a good amount of customization for the LEDs, including various patterns and individual key-mapping and ability to save multiple profiles. Not a lot of weight and the plastic feels a bit cheap, otherwise a good overall mechanical keyboard. I wouldn't consider this for a low-budget purchase, because there are cheaper options out there with similar features.

This keyboard allows you to choose different patterns for the lights as well as allowing you to turn some keys on while keeping the rest off which is great for both games and work. It takes a while to get used to the mechanical keys and their depth and sometimes I accidentally hit some keys with the palm of my hand while trying to hit keys closer to the top of the keyboard. That's the only minor complaint I could have about the layout.

This keyboard is great for gaming. It is both heavy and heavy duty with mechanical switches that positively respond to gaming keystrokes. The back lighted keys are nice in a dark room although the upgrade model has adjustable colors if that is a plus for your needs. The necessity to download the Logitech software to control the different built in, standard lighting patterns is only a mild issue.

I like the typing feeling of the keyboard. But without the deal, (i purchased it at half price), I don't like to pay that much for that keyboard.
