it doesn’t flop around when you try to pick it up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this one before, and wore it out over a long period of time. When I got my new iPad, I bought a different brand supposedly heavy duty. I tried it and didn’t like it, and went back to this one. This one is secure and protective, it doesn’t flop around when you try to pick it up with one hand when reclined on the couch or bed. Recommend it.

This is the keyboard you are looking for.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think most folks buy a keyboard for their iPad Pro to increase productivity, and I feel that this is probably the best bang for your buck. Compared to the Apple Smart Keyboard, this is better in almost every way except for one. I had been using the Apple keyboard for about a year now, but then got this Logitech keyboard. I don’t think I will ever be going back to Apple’s keyboard. Connection - Bluetooth First, this is a Bluetooth keyboard so it is not using the smart connector pin on the iPad to connect. This is a good thing and a bad thing. Connecting/pairing takes one extra step since it’s Bluetooth. You need to go into the settings menu to get it paired, but once you’ve done that, it is ready to go as soon as you open the case and place it on the magnetic holder. So the pairing process is a tad more involved than if you were just using the smart connector, but just that once. The benefit to using the bluetooth is that you are not drawing power from your iPad to power the keyboard. This leaves your iPad battery open to just being used for the actual iPad, and thus, gives longer battery life for your iPad. The keyboard itself is supposed to last about 3 months on a charge and charges using a USBC cable. You can use the one that is included with your iPad Pro. I’ve only been using the Logitech keyboard for a couple of weeks, but it still shows green when you check the battery status. Convenience Secondly, this keyboard is way better to actually type on than Apple’s Smart Keyboard. The feel of the keys, the backlight, and the iOS shortcut row above the number row, all make it easier to get work done on my iPad. I have never understood why Apple does not include those shortcut keys on its own keyboards. This keyboard also gives you the option of laying it most of the way down, to have a nice angle to draw on the screen, as well as folding the entire keyboard back to read a document and just get the keyboard out of the way. Protection Protection is way better with this keyboard than with Apple’s. This one actually covers all of the corners of the iPad instead of just sticking to the back of the iPad with magnets. So this added protection does give one down side to the overall usage of the keyboard. It is heavier and bulkier than Apple’s. This might put some folks off, but it might make others feel like it’s more premium. Just know that the added bulk and heft is for a reason, more protection and added functionality. You also get the benefit of still having the slot open to charge your 2nd generation Apple Pencil, and as a bonus, the magnetic flap that secures the case closed also has a slot to make sure your Apple Pencil does not go anywhere. A little extra peace of mind. Improvements I do have a couple of things that I would love to see improved on their next iteration. First, I would love to actually see the battery percentage for the keyboard in the Battery Widget. The iPad, Apple Pencil, and some headphones already have their battery status in the widget. It would be nice to see the keyboard in there as well. The second would be if the next version included a track pad. I know that the Magic Keyboard has this already, but I cannot justify the price they are asking for the Magic Keyboard to get that one feature. I am a using this Logitech Keyboard along with the Logitech MX Anywhere 2s mouse. I had already purchased that mouse to use with my laptop so I just paired it with the iPad and it’s a great setup. I would whole heartedly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a keyboard for their iPad Pro. As a matter of fact, I would say to use this first before wasting time with any of the others on the market. It offers far more than what Apple has, at a much lower price.

Nearly the same as last model , no trackpad?!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was thrilled to see that Logitech has again made the Keyboard Folio for the 2018/2020 iPad Pro 12.9. In all honesty, the only change was the enlargement of the camera slot in the back. Otherwise this is pretty much the same keyboard for the 2018 model, now you can utilize both iPad 12.9's. With that, it's easy to see that it is very LARGE and bulky, even as a "slim" design. I was able to interchange both my 2018 and 2020 iPad's to see how I like it. Pros: -Interchangeable iPad Pro's. This is how most companies SHOULD design their products where you can use the previous device and it can be interchangeable to the newer keyboard case. I really hate it that there is a design change for the iPad (or iPhone) where you can't use the previous cases and therefore have to spend more money on a new case. Here, Apple and Logitech (as well as the other companies with cases and screen protectors) stuck with the same dimensions and now can use the previous iPad and utilize the newer keyboard. -Camera Slot. This is the biggest (and only) change from the previous model is that the camera slot has been enlarged to fit the larger camera setup on the iPad Pro 2020. If you have the 2018 model, it will still work (thank you Apple and Logitech), it just looks funny -Rugged Feel. It has this nice rubber smooth and non-slip feel to it so you know when holding it or placed on a flat smooth surface, it is not going to slide. -Easy to setup. Bluetooth is easy to set up and pair with your iPad. No charging cable but you can use your USB-C cable from your iPad. Makes it easy on you, you only use 1 cable. -Converts easy enough in 3 modes: Type mode (traditional keyboard/screen set up for easy typing at a 58 degree angle), Sketch mode (laying it down to write), and Read mode (holding it like a book). It does not feel awkward at all despite the size and bulky nature. My daughter loves drawing and she's able to convert it easy and feels natural for her to draw in Sketch mode. I use that mode as well when writing notes. Also, there is a built in auto on/off feature. When you have it in Type mode, the keyboard does not automatically turn on and connect UNTIL you have it docked in that position. You will not have to worry about pressing a key when you are either trying to convert it to Dock mode. -Back lit keys: I love this feature since I do a lot of typing in bed at night. This should be the standard for all iPad/tablet keyboards and by far one of the best features on this keyboard. I've used Logitech keyboards for iPads in the past and was spoiled to the back lit keyboards on my laptops. -Key pressure: this is a treat because it does feel like a traditional keyboard. With distance learning now, my children have to type in their homework and classwork on the iPads. Even though this keyboard is slightly smaller compared to my 14" laptop, this size feels really natural for them. Even for me this keyboard has good travel and the typing experience is very good. The Logitech keys are nice where they do feel very traditional and since I'm a hard typer. -Apple Pencil 2nd Gen storage. Like the previous model, you can store your pencil in either two spots: directly on the iPad magnetically (where it charges) OR in the flap there is a slot for you to slide the pencil in and it WILL NOT charge. Before I felt this was a nuisance, but after using it for a year I really like this feature. So for the 2020 model, I'm glad they maintained the same design. I like utilizing both options and it is secured really well.you cannot stick it there. I also have the Logitech Crayon and you can slide it in the slot, but it just looks strange and you will end up stretching the rubber. -iOS short cuts. This is helpful for me, as I rarely use the function keys on any keyboard. I decided to practice more on this keyboard. Along the top you have your standard iOS short cuts. Starting from left to right: Home, Key Brightness, Search, Virtual Keyboard, Media Controls, Volume Controls, Screen on/off, Bluetooth connect, and Battery Check. -Battery Life. Logitech measured a 3 month battery life based on 2 hours of typing per day. That's accurate as we utilize it daily for about 2-3 hours of typing or in Dock Mode. I charge it about every 3 months. That's good battery life for my usage. Cons: -No track pad. This is my biggest complaint for this keyboard case. Logitech has made a Folio Keyboard case WITH a trackpad for the iPad Air 3 and the standard 10.2 model. So why didn't they add one for the Pro's? If you really want to compete against the Magic Keyboard and make the Pro's a truly laptop replacement, they should've added this feature. -Dock mode angle. You can only have it at one viewing angle. They measured it at 58 degrees. For me this is no problem when I have it on my lap in bed or if I have it on my desk. When my kids are using it for school they have to adjust themselves to be at a certain height in order to see the screen better. There is no adjustment for this. -Initial set up. When sliding your iPad in, the right corners are really tight that it began to remove the glass screen protector on there. I figured the best way to put in there is slide in the left side first and you can bend the right ones around the corners. If you have no screen protector (or the non-tempered glass ones), this shouldn't be too big of a concern. Overall, I am very impressed and happy with the Logitech Keyboard Folio. Even though it is virtually the same as the one made for 2018 Pro's, this is a great accessory to have. Yes, it is bulky and at times can feel heavy, but I feel that my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil are safe and secured. Again, I am astounded that they not include a trackpad in this model to really make it a laptop replacement. I am really happy with this accessory and does make your iPad as close to a laptop experience as possible.

Great keyboard case!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR - Great protective keyboard case with some weight. Pros: - the keyboard has dedicated media/function keys (where as another more name brand product that cost way more does not) - keys have good and consistent travel, making it a very comfortable experience to type on regularly (have not miss any keypresses yet) - keyboard is backlit (there are two levels of brightness and both levels are sufficient for low lit environments) - keyboard has USB-C port for charging (charges quite quick and has yet to die on me (been using for more than 2 weeks now) - case covers the corners quite well which gives me peace of mind if i ever accidentally drop my iPad - case is thick, provides extra protection (though some may see this as a con, i don’t mind having my ipad better protected) - case is easy to put on and take off - apple pencil can charge and stay on in tandem with the case Cons - the weight of the case is almost the same as my iPad (though i don’t mind this, i had to put this as a con because it takes away from it’s portability) - the case basically doubles the thickness of the iPad (very noticeable especially when holding) - only one position for the iPad when docked to type Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for me and i absolutely recommend the case. If you need a protective keyboard case, this one definitely nails the requirement, though you will have to give up some portability due to it’s weight and thickness.

Great Case!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech has a great product here. The case does a fantastic job at protecting the iPad. The keys are a pleasure to type on. Not mushy at all. The specialized function keys are a bonus over the Apple keyboard as well. The keyboard folds under the screen in 2 ways, depending on your preference, when you want to use just the screen. The battery lasts a LONG time. I go months without having to charge these. I've not recharged it yet since the first charge after buying it. It weighs more than an Apple keyboard, but you get so many benefits over the Apple, it's worth it. Especially given how much less this costs.

Excellent for field workers
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: The 3 positions are so ergonomic for the busy person: - Laptop position - Reading / Tablet position - Sketching / Drawing position - I am a healthcare worker and am on my feet all day; and I take my iPad Pro 12.9” with me everywhere using it to type patient charting; read emails, pdf docs and; write and sign off on pdf documents all day. The Apple Pencil holder is also a bonus knowing that my 150+ dollar pencil will never fall out. - The iPad (and Apple Pencil) have supreme protection all around - Keyboard charge lasts for months. -Keyboard is backlit. Cons: - The case doubles the weight of the iPad easily; but the iPad definitely feels secure all around. - There is no mouse / track pad. - The iPad is difficult to remove from the case.
