    Wont read USB 3.1

Comes with a usb-c 3.1, and is apparently compatable with startard 3.0 or 3.1 USB adapters. but it is not. It will not read any USB 3.1 ports on my pc and does not run 1080p or 60fps. I've tried all of the "fixes" from logitech support and other consumers. Nothing works. not worth the money, better cameras for cheaper cable is way too short

Hi mitch, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the StreamCam and it not apparently working with your USB 3.1 port on your PC. (How were you able to find out that the StreamCam doesn't run 1080p or 60 fps if it didn't work?) To get Full HD at 60 fps we recommend the following computer specifications: USB-C 3.1 port, 2017 or later, 7th gen Intel i5 or better, dedicated graphics card, and 8GB RAM. Make sure that the USB port you're using is indeed a 3.0/3.1 which will have a distinct blue on the port. Also, make sure that you're not using a USB hub and, if you are, then make sure that it's a USB 3.0 one (here's a link to the product support page that has a Getting Started section that has a picture of the USB 3.0 port:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043221373.) I personally use the StreamCam using an adapter going into the USB 3.0 port. If none of those things work, than there may be a hardware issue with the StreamCam which would be covered by the 1 year limited hardware warranty. Here's the link to File A Claim:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043221253-Warranty-Logitech-StreamCam. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech

    Great Webcam with Great Software

The StreamCam is an excellent webcam and probably the best webcam Logitech has right now (with the possible exception of the Brio). The overall image quality and microphone improvements over the C922 that I have been using were pretty minor, but the extra software features and versatility of mounting give you enough extra stuff that I think the step is justified if you need it. In the box you get: The webcam A monitor mount A tripod with a detachable adapter The webcam itself is quite a bit larger than the C922 or any other webcam I’ve used in the past, but it mounts my monitor firmly and, though it gets close, the mount doesn’t protrude into the screen. If you have a laptop or monitor with very thin bezels it may be something you have to deal with. It can be positioned in the standard horizontal orientation or be turned vertically by opening up the clamp and it’s fairly easy to do without completely disturbing your setup. It should be noted that the USB connection on the camera is USB-C 3.1; if you don’t have a USB-C port on your PC there is no adapter in the box, so you would need to get a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Getting the webcam setup was really easy; it automatically prompted me to download the software when I connected it and it installed in a few minutes. The software is well laid out and makes it easy to make adjustments to the webcam controls and recording quality. It also lets you setup recording from multiple sources like other other displays or even other webcams, which is really handy. You can also overlay text and borders to your video feed. Video quality is excellent - the image is sharp and the autofocus works well. I wouldn’t say it’s leaps and bounds over the C922, but I did prefer the exposure control in the StreamCam over the C922 and you get 1080p/60 recording/streaming, which the C922 is not capable of. The microphone quality is good, but not great. I found the dual mono setting to have the best quality to me; stereo made my voice sound far away and background noise was much more noticable. It’s fine for video calls, but I would definitely recommend pairing it with a USB microphone like the Blue Yeti. The price is on the high side for a webcam, but if you know what you want it for I think you do get a good amount of value for the money, especially for streaming.

    Best webcam I’ve ever owned

The Logitech StreamCam Plus is hands down the best webcam I’ve ever owned. I bought to replace an older Logitech webcam for making web dev tutorial videos and attending meetings. The video quality is incredible, especially in low light situations which is where most webcams fail. I’ve been so used to grainy video if the lightning wasn’t good enough, but not with the StreamCam Plus! It’s not going to magically fix your bad lighting, but it will show a true-to-life video just as crisp as with good lighting... just darker. I will say that $170 seems a little steep for a webcam. For that price, I would have liked to see them incorporate a mini ring light or diffused light around the face to help get more light on the subject. I also would have liked to see 4K max resolution, instead of 1080p. But since it’s so much better than the others out there, I’m still glad that I went for it. The only one that is better is the Logitech BRIO (also called Logitech 4K) due to the better resolution and detachable cable for multiple connection types and cable lengths but that also has a higher price tag and can’t do vertical video, which is becoming more necessary in social media. Pros: - Great picture quality, even in less than ideal lighting - Removable mount with two mounting options (Screen top and 1/4 inch standard camera mount) - Turns 90 degrees for portrait or landscape mode - USB-C cable for modern laptops - Great quality microphone, sounds perfect on recordings - Logi Capture software to fine-tune the picture, manage inputs for streaming/recording and apply chromakey. Cons: - USB-C only, no USB Type-A (standard USB) adapter. - Attached cable, would have been good to have a USB-C port and detachable cable for different cable lengths and replacement cables the same way that the BRIO does. - High price for no 4K Overall, I highly recommend this camera

    Great Camera For Streamers

I’ve had this camera about a day or two. I actually cancelled my amazon order and got it from Best Buy because it was available same day pickup. I’m really enjoying it. The first thing I did was immediately do a side by side in OBS with my C920 and this one and the StreamCam is a massive improvement in picture quality. The fact that it has a smaller FOV than the Brio is a little disappointing, but it was something that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The focus is a much needed upgrade over previous models and the software was relatively easy to use prior to opening the camera up in OBS. It should probably be about 20-30 dollars cheaper, but it’s definitely a big upgrade from the cheaper and older counterparts.

I got this for the rare occasion that I'll need to use a webcam for class or work meetings, but it is a really impressive product compared to its competition. I got is discounted, but I would've expected a higher price for such an amazing webcam. I love the ability to tinker with the video settings and adjust the quality, and a 1080p 60fps webcam is more than enough for any streamer, white-collar worker, or student.

Image quality is nice. Solid 1080p cam. Like the ability to mount to tripod as well on top of the monitor. Also like that it uses USB-C. My son needed a cam for remote learning now that schools in the area are all closed down for several weeks. He's also using it in his pursuit of becoming a YouTube star. What don't I care for? The price. It's pretty expensive for a 1080p cam that doesn't even have the 3D stuff for doing Windows Hello. Honest opinion? If it's available, spend a few more bucks on the Logitech Brio. It's 4K, and does Windows Hello. The included tripod with the StreamCam Plus is fine, but not what I'd consider "desirable". My son stole one of my little Manfrotto desktop tripods and is happy with the combo.

Was using my canon m50 for streaming on twitch. Quality was amazing, but didn’t want to put west and tear on the camera so I decided to go with this logitech cam. Quality is very great if paired with great lighting. The auto follow feature in the camera is pretty cool. 1080 60fps can’t complain. Also you will have to have a usb-c plug on your PC. If not I suggest buying a adapter to plug it in your standard usb, note that it will be in 1080 30fps unless plug into a usb 3.0. I really can’t complain, besides the price being a little too pricey but that’s about it. Love the camera would recommend over the c920 and this being your starter webcam. =D

Exceptionally clear and good video quality. The 1080p with 60fps is great for quality streaming. Has the ability to be rotated 90 degrees and placed on a tripod that comes with the camera to allow for making videos for sites like Tik Tok. Only issue is that it only comes with a built in USB-C connector and if your PC doesn't have that port buying an adaptor seems to mean ordering from Amazon. Couldn't find an adaptor in town anywhere. Great for laptop use and very easily portable. Also pretty expensive but one of the only webcams right now with the nice software suite and 1080p 60 fps capability.

This is a fantastic webcam, best I have used. I bought it because the built-in webcam on my laptop has poor image quality. In conparison this camera is superior in terms of image quality and has the intelligence to remove the yellow tint in "warm" lighting conditions, which makes the color temperature look very natural. I would give 5 stars if the price was lower.

Okay, its a great Webcam, just wish it came with the USB-c adapter. I did not realize that this had a USB-c when I bought it, or perhaps I thought my PC had a USB-c port. Either way, still a great Webcam, even if my daughter borrowed it from me as soon as I got it so she could use it for her High School Zoom meetings for class. A little pricey, but, I would buy it again.

My MacBook Pro laptop’s camera mysteriously stopped working, so I needed to buy am external one. At first I bought one for $40 and I didn’t like it. I tried this one, hoping paying a bit more would make a difference. Luckily it did. The quality of this camera’s feed is comparable to my laptop’s camera.

Excellent webcam. A little on the high price side, but it delivers a steady picture that is high quality. A bit strange that the camera sits sideways, however, I've just started using it. Perhaps you can 'flip' the picture. Overall great!
