    Wont read USB 3.1

Comes with a usb-c 3.1, and is apparently compatable with startard 3.0 or 3.1 USB adapters. but it is not. It will not read any USB 3.1 ports on my pc and does not run 1080p or 60fps. I've tried all of the "fixes" from logitech support and other consumers. Nothing works. not worth the money, better cameras for cheaper cable is way too short

Hi mitch, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the StreamCam and it not apparently working with your USB 3.1 port on your PC. (How were you able to find out that the StreamCam doesn't run 1080p or 60 fps if it didn't work?) To get Full HD at 60 fps we recommend the following computer specifications: USB-C 3.1 port, 2017 or later, 7th gen Intel i5 or better, dedicated graphics card, and 8GB RAM. Make sure that the USB port you're using is indeed a 3.0/3.1 which will have a distinct blue on the port. Also, make sure that you're not using a USB hub and, if you are, then make sure that it's a USB 3.0 one (here's a link to the product support page that has a Getting Started section that has a picture of the USB 3.0 port:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043221373.) I personally use the StreamCam using an adapter going into the USB 3.0 port. If none of those things work, than there may be a hardware issue with the StreamCam which would be covered by the 1 year limited hardware warranty. Here's the link to File A Claim:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043221253-Warranty-Logitech-StreamCam. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. This camera was highly rated on many sites, so I purchased one. I feel the image quality is inferior to my other cameras it was supposed to be replacing, This includes the camera built into the Dell laptop it is connected to, and 3 other Logitech webcams. The image appears dull to me and others on our virtual meetings. Lighting on video images keeps changing casing a washed out appearance. Initially the camera would not work properly with several of the virtual meeting platforms that we use. The info I found on the Logitech site advised using their video software as a solution to the issue. The problem with using Logitech software was that it presented SIGNIFICANT latency in the video stream making basic video calls very difficult. After several updates by the meeting platforms the camera finally began working on them. In addition to the above mentioned issues, there is no apparent ability to adjust, brightness, color, focal point, or other advanced setting that would be useful in a ensuring a quality image is being generated. I have been extremely dissatisfied with this camera. Quite frankly if I didn’t need to use my computer during the meetings, I would just use my phone as the image quality on it appears to me to be MUCH better than this camera.

Hello, I am so sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with the webcam. I can help with the lighting and adjusting issues. We do have a free download to software that allows you to adjust the image settings. That is the Logitech Capture software, here is the link: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025141614. Was working great for both work and personal video conferencing. Unfortunately, I plugged it into my work laptop today for a meeting and my second screen went blank, and now my work laptop no longer detects USB-C devices. I can't get it to work on my personal or work computer so it appears to be fried -- hopefully my work laptop's USB-C port isn't toast since that's how it charges. I guess I'm going to have to contact Logitech to go through the warranty process since I'm about a month past the return period.

Hi v03j9c3, we're sorry to see you're having some compatibility related issues with your StreamCam Webcam. If you haven't already, please unplug and plug in the USB cord to your webcam. Then restart your computer. It's possible that all the drivers didn't download properly. If you've done that and are still experiencing issues, you do have a 1-year limited warranty that can be used to have a replacement sent out to you. You can do that here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043221253-Warranty-Logitech-StreamCam. Hope that helps. -N from Logitech

Avoid on M1/M2 Macs for your sanity

Just not remotely reliable on an M1 Mac. It seems beyond Logitech to make drivers that work, not to mention make rotation work as advertised. It takes far too much work to even establish which Logitech software you need, as it's not what the box says, and Logitech just decide to abandon software and move to half developed alternatives. Support are legitimately useless. For me it randomly will just start looping my audio for other people, which can only be remedied by unplugging, plugging in and restarting the meeting. There's no pattern to when it happens but it happens EVERY day at least once. By far the most expensive webcam i've bought and by far the least reliable, but didn't start showing these problems until return period was up.

I was extremely disappointed. I could not fet the webcam to function with the device that it was intended to enhance (My Lenovo All in one), neither could the Geek Squad. I can use it on a laptop which I purchased but, according to the Geek Squad, only while using the Zoom application. This is really disappointing. The documentation included with the device is virtually worthless, e.g. no quick start info. Contacting customer support with Logitech is a multilingual morass. They instruct you to plug in and follow the prompts from their popup but no popup appeared. I am extremely disappointed with this product and with Geek Squad in this instance.

Firstly, "physically" this camera is quite good. I was really impressed out of the gate. I used it (or tried to) on my 2019 MacBook Pro 16". Then I realized that some of the features of their app (Logitech Capture) weren't working (buttons not doing anything, features showing "Off" when they were "On", inability to control things, etc). I called technical support and they confirmed that their app is NOT compatible with the latest MacOS (Monterey) nor did it even even sound like they were planning to support it. Mind you, it's 2022 and Monterey came out in the fall. No excuse for that. THIS SOFTWARE IS WHAT ALL OF THEIR CAMERAS USE ON MACS (so, the assumption is you'd have this issue with ANY Logitech camera). In addition, If you have a newer Mac with Apple Silicon, the app will not even run. Tech support confirmed "WE DO NOT SUPPORT APPLE SILICON". Searching online confirms others have been complaining about this since the M1 machines came out. I have lots of Logitech products, I'm really disappointed, particularly given the Mac marketshare these days. After wasting several hours on this, I returned it. NOTE: Best Buy was very gracious as always; no issues whatsoever with the return, in spite of the fact that I could not get the camera back in the original box to save my life...

Tried recording in portrait but my image is sideways no matter how you move the camera. Landscape mode no problem, my image is upright. Logitech software can fix issue with portrait mode, but 3rd party software like bandicam and others will not. So I'm forced to use landscape mode for everything. I'm past the return date too, otherwise I would have returned it.

Hi Mike, thank you for sharing your experience with the StreamCam Plus from Logitech. I'm sorry that the rotation feature is not working in a 3rd party software. Logitech's Capture software can be selected as a webcam source in most software. You can open Capture and assign all your settings, then allow it to continue to run. Open your 3rd party software and and where it asks for the webcam source Capture should show up allowing you to have the settings, including the rotated position of the camera, loaded into the 3rd party software. I hope this helps so that you can continue to use the StreamCam and all its features. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

An overpriced abomination hyped during COVID times

This is just terrible. I grabbed the during the time when it was nearly impossible to get. I bought it and kept unboxed to then see the reviews. Of course, those gullible, unprofessional, YouTube reviewers all hyped the camera so much and made (well, adjusted) its footage (video recordings) to the point where the videos coming out of this camera looked ok. Influenced by these MerketYoubers, the return period ended and I opened the camera. Not to be too lengthy, the quality is quite a "piece of work". Yes, the Logitech is sharper and offers 1080P, but the 720p "potato" camera on my MacBook Pro still looks better. Also, the UN-detachable cord of this camera is made of nearly hard plastic, which makes it difficult to arrange your working space neatly. The cord is like it's supposed to deliver 330 volts. There is just nothing good to say about this camera. Do your research and find how to use you phone either for video conferencing or recording, and you will be surprised at the quality you already have. Search for Norm from Tested on YouTube who is sharing his experience with web cameras, and make your informed decision.

Hello Mike! Sorry to hear the StreamCam Plus Webcam wasn't what you had hoped it would be. The video quality you'll get from the StreamCam is indeed up to 1080p at 60fps, which is more than most webcams on the market right now. To make the most out of your webcam and customize your experience, you'll definitely want to download our free Logitech Capture software, so that way you'll be able to fine-tune the details you want to use with your webcam. Here's the link: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/capture. The StreamCam is a corded webcam yes, so you won't be able to detach its cable from the camera. It is designed to be attached to the top of your computer screen or to a monitor. Hope those quicks tips will help out! - Mathieu from Logitech

The video works for about 15-90 seconds then freezes. Then I have to turn off the video and turn it back on in whatever software im using. This woukd be ok occassionally, but having video cut out every minute of a 2 hour zoom session every week is a bit much. Additionally, logitech refuses to help and wants Best Buy to handle all warranty issues even outside of their return period.

Well past the return date because I was waiting for my new PCs to show up and even on a USB 3.2 Machine there's SO MUCH motion blur that this camera can't be 60 FPS. I recall the C922 Pro in 720p 60 doing a butter smooth frame rate but it's only performing at 720p. It seems as though you have to pretty much double the res and match or purchase a product with a higher framerate in order to get the quality you want these days. Now I'm looking for a 4K 60 or 120 if they make one to get 1080p 60... Great job Logitech!

No better than the $30 webcam I was trying to upgrade from because it's not actually 1080p and the white balance is always VERY off no matter how much you adjust it in their software. Worse is that the plastic bit it grips onto to be able to put it on a tripod (same with the standard one, it's the same design just a different bottom part) doesn't fit or grip. It's such a lazy and dysfunctional design that I don't know how anyone has good reviews for this.

Cable is poor quality and the choice to only provide a USB-C option is questionable at best. About a year into owning this and using it lightly, probably 20-30 times, the device is bricked. This must have been a faulty one because it worked great while it worked and other reviews are positive, but Logitech support is a nightmare and Best Buy hasn't been helpful. I had to return because I got a faulty one. I optimized all of my power settings on my RazerBlade 15 to ensure I didn't have dropouts in the usb-c port, but I still had glitches. The packaging was also thin and flimsy with nothing really protecting the camera except the box itself. The cable is attached to the camera, so if you ever had issues with that, it would be toast.
