This combo is very easy to hookup and works great and the picture playback looks fantastic. I would recomend this to anyone who wants a great product at an affordable price.

Was hard to find a dvd recorder these days and found this one. bought it online and picked it up in store. works easily and delivers an excellent recording.

I just received the HR (have original Viviofit which works great (very accurate), but the heart-rate strap is a pain to wear), so wanted to see if the HR model can actually record my heart rate accurately (I've tried a couple of other models and they are clear losers in that regard – they lose contact when you need it most – i.e., when you are actually exercising or doing something vigorous). Set up was nearly impossible without calling directly to Garman, though that worked well and they were quite helpful. It never would sync up with my smart phone, but that is not something I needed. The person that Garman that I talked to said it would be up to a week before the Vivofit would actually "acclimate" itself to being on my wrist – not sure why that would be, but we will see. So, bottom line is that it is too early to tell (so far it has been as much as 30 beats per seconds, but about half the time it seems to be right on the button - and, I have it about as tight as a will ever want it).

So simple to use and does an outstanding job! So glad theybstill make these, a must have if you want to transfer your vhs home movies to dvd.

This is an updated one from the MG9. It doesn't have as many features as the MG9 I think they tried to make it less complicated, but now it does not do as much when you want to title your shows. It was easy to hook up. It only uses CDS that have the RW - The MG9 uses either one theRW+ and RW- I did not know this till I put in a RW+ and it said error could not read disk. It is easy to record a show. Over all it is a good product for the price.

Easy to use and set up. Works perfectly, like that I can record to VHS or DVD.

I wanted to transfer compact VHS tapes to DVD. Worked perfectly, and was easy to figure out how to use right out of the box.

Player works as it was suppose to. Searched hard to locate a DVD and VHS player that also records. This unit does both.

I was looking for a way to do my own transfer from VHS to DVD and this was the one the salesman recommended. I had a Panasonic earlier and never could get it to work. This one works just great. It took just a little reading of the instructions to figure it out and it works like a charm. Very happy with it!

This is a good product, with good results when recording, but the manual is poorly written, poorly organized, and difficult to use.

This item was easy to set up only took 15 minutes to remove from the box and connect to the TV. It is easy to use for people who do not know much about electronics.

I got this to record a few movies from VCR tapes to DVD, but my tapes are getting so old, that quality is gone. However, this does play VCR and DVD very well. Solid unit.

My dvd and vcr broke... and I was looking for a way to put old vhs on dvds. I fixed all my problems with one purchase.

Having so VHS movies which haven't made the 21st century transition, I found I still needed a VHS player with the hope of still converting some old home tapes to DVD as well. This combo unit is easy to set up and just "play"...I'd had a competitors combo recorder in the past and found it ridiculously complicated to use--even though I'm a closet techie. If you are in the market for this type of device, don't think twice--just buy this one.

THIS IS A GOOD UNIT BUT THE FALSE SPECIFICATIONS (RECORDING) ARE INCORRECT. THE SPECATIONS SAY THAT THIS UNIT WILL RECORD ON BLANK DVD+RWs. AND IT DOES NOT. THE DIRECTIONS STATE THAT IT WILL ONLY RECORD ON DVD-RWS. I'VE BEEN USING +RWs FOR YEARS ON AN OLDER MAG. AND I HAVE A LOT OF BLANKS AND CANNOT USE THEM BECAUSE OF BAD SPECS ON BEST BUYS PART,, IF YOU BUY THIS UNIT MAKE SURE THAT YOU BUY DVD-RWs

Took unit out of book, followed setup instructions and was dubbing in no time. Unit works great

I love this Magnavox DVD recorder. The playing and copying are great!

Glad I added the sound bar to my purchase. Although I live in a small studio apartment where the TV speakers alone would suffice, the addition of the sound bar and sub woofer has made most viewing enjoyable.
