Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the Minor IV True Wireless Earbuds for their exceptional sound quality, comfortable fit, and impressive battery life. They particularly enjoy the earbuds' distinct Marshall sound, which offers a well-rounded audio experience. The earbuds' wireless charging capability and stylish design also receive positive feedback. However, some customers express concerns about the earbuds' touch controls, which they find overly sensitive, and the fit, as they feel the earbuds are too big and tend to move around in the ears. Additionally, a few customers mention the relatively high price point as a drawback.

Really bad connectivity and app
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is good I guess. But connectivity is really bad. When I put my phone in lower pockets and walk around sound starts to stutter sometimes and I have to hold the phone in my hands or upper pockets + left eabud laggs behind in terms of connectivity. Often it takes 1-2 minuts until it connects to my phone (2 different phones with the same result). Another problem is the app. first of all it is relly laggy + equaliser is on the state of infinite "loading". Another minor problem is its touch control. it is too sensive and wen I'm trying to listen to somthing laying on the bed, when it slightly touches pillows or enithing else it pauses what I was listening to. On the positive side, I liked earbud's shape and cover.

Surprised and blown away!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several Marshall speakers spread around the rooms in my home and garage (the OG Stanmore, Acton II, and Emberton II), but these Marshall Minor IVs are my first headphones/buds. While I had some misgivings upon their unboxing, those misgivings are gone and I am absolutely chuffed at how much I like these things! Like I said above, I was a tad bit concerned about how good these were going to be once I took them out of the box and felt how plastic-ey and light they were. After years of chonky and pleather coated speakers from Marshall, I was sure that the folks at Marshall had cut some major corners on these Minor IVs. I was wrong and I owe the fine folks at Marshall an apology for even considering that they were not turning out a great product. I could wax poetic on all the things I like (or love) about these things but I’m going to try to keep this review a bit more contained and hit the prime things you probably are most interested in if you are reading this. Likes/Loves: - Sound Quality: This is of course the biggest one, because if they don’t sound good, it doesn’t really matter what other bells and whistles it has. No open earbud is going to be audiophile quality but these are just as good as any other maker of similarly styled buds (which are my favorite style because I HATE ones with silicone tips that have to be crammed down into my ears). Now a lot of credit for that great sound is due to my next highlight: - Equalizer: The equalizer settings that you can configure for the Minor IVs through the app can totally help you ‘dial-in’ that sound you want. Quite a few other earphone apps will let you play with some or all of the frequency settings but Marshall gives you some great presets as well at total control of each frequency bands. I’m partial to the ‘V’ setting for my music. I do have a minor quibble dealing with the Equalizer but I’ll hit that in the Meh’s/Don’t Like section. - Volume: The Minor IVs can get dangerously loud without distortion. Now, my audiologist would definitely put this in the ‘bad’ column, but I dig that I can crank the tunes when I want without it devolving into static and squeals. Just be careful. - The Marshall Bluetooth App: Outstanding controls, connectivity, and resources for your headphones. Probably the best app for a headphone I’ve used. - Battery Life: The battery life on the Minor IVs is outstanding. I ran these headphones through my 4 hour and 7 minute audiophile test playlist and then continued just listening to my regular music for another 2-2.5 hours and these earbuds were at 30% when I put them back in the case. I don’t know how these things are as light as they are and yet still seem to have such great power reserves. Meh’s/Don’t Likes: - Weight: While I appreciate that most people like the fact that the earbuds themselves and even the earbuds in the case are so light, there are still some times that I feel like these may be TOO light. I had a few panic attacks when I thought the battery case had fallen out of my jacket, but they were still there. Also, by being as light as they are, they can get flung out of your ears pretty easy with some sudden movements (like whipping your head around when your wife sneaks up on you and taps you on the shoulder to see what you are grooving to). - Stored EQ Settings: I love that I can switch between two different EQ settings through the touch controls, I just wish that they were both able to be configured by the user and not just one of them. The ‘Marshall Sound’ that is locked in to the EQ1 slot is too neutral to my ears and I have yet to listen to any track in my eclectic selection of music that sound better with this setting over the other presets or my own settings. If Marshall could unlock that slot and/or add another slot, that would be awesome. - Touch Controls: Great in that they work really well, bad in that the Minor IVs are a bit too sensitive to touch. Just pushing a bit on the earbud to adjust your fit can and more often than not, will, set off whatever control you have set for 1-tap. I also wish that there more controls that could be switched from either the left or right earbud rather than the ones that Marshall assigned to each. Not a deal breaker, just a wish for a future firmware update (wink, wink, Marshall). All-in-all, I am pretty darn thrilled with the Minor IVs and these are probably going to be my day-to-day buds from here on out. If you are looking for a pair of great sounding earbuds, you could do A LOT worse than the Minor IVs but would be hard pressed to find BETTER.

Not for me
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Marshal Minor IV's are an okay set of true wireless headphones. They were easy to pair with my Pixel 8 Pro. Unfortunately in my situation they are a terrible fit for my ears. They are constantly moving around, and always feel like they're just about to fall out. The only thing I could really do comfortably with them in was sit down and listen to music or watch videos. I tried doing some laundry with them in, and they constantly kept falling out. On the other hand, my wife was able to use them without as many issues as me. They sound surprising good for how loose the are in my ears. Too bad they won't stay in better, because putting a little pressure on them the sounds goes from decent to freaking amazing. This was a bit of a disappointment for me since this is the first time I've had this experience with the Marshall brand. I own quite a few Marshall Bluetooth speakers and headphones/earbuds, and never had an issue like this. The supplemental app is pretty good when it loads, but the app is somewhat buggy with these headphones. Sometimes it finds the device, sometimes not. When it does load, it will not load the "Equaliser" for these headphones. The touch controls are overly sensitive. I experienced lots of accidentally presses just trying to keep these in my ears. Thankfully there is an option in the app to disable the touch controls. I ended up just shutting the touch controls off all together which made it a better listening experience for me. The battery life is as advertised. One thing to note is that the charge cord is very short, but as a plus they can be wirelessly charged.

Posted .Hello there, thanks for your review and feedback. Sounds like the Motif II ANC with the sizing sleeves would be a better option for you, you can then find the right sized tips to create a secure fit and isolate the audio. If the equalizer isn't loading, often a factory reset of the earbuds and a restart of the app will resolve this issue. If it doesn't, please reach out to the Marshall Support Team through the official online store for assistance.

Fantastic bass, great looks, but sub-par otherwise
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those of you looking for bass, these absolutely deliver. They have a rich and full sound profile that pumps out a very deep low end with a crisp and clear high end to match. The looks are also to die for especially if you’re a Marshall fan. Their signature design theme is all around from the texture around the case to the knurled texture on the stems of the buds. These look fantastic. These are the two highlights of these earbuds - sound quality and design. Let’s talk about some other things though. I’d almost call these direct Marshall clones of Apple’s popular AirPods. The case is nearly identical when it comes to shape and size and the earbuds themselves are also shockingly similar except for the Marshall theme. For fit and security, again, quite similar AirPods where they nestle inside the ear but aren’t secure enough for sports. They’re quite comfortable but probably not secure enough for anything more than gym use. They lack silicone or foam eartips just like AirPods but it surprisingly does not affect sound quality - again, the sound is amazing but eartips can help keep earbuds more secure. I love the characteristic Marshall texture on the outside of the case however getting the buds out of the case isn’t awesome where there isn’t enough of the bud sticking out to make it easy enough to just quickly grab them. The touch controls on the outside of the buds are also frustrating. They’re placed on the outside of the bud themselves - not the stem. This results in accidental presses when adjusting the bud for a secure fit (which is sometimes needed since these don’t have the most secure fit with eartips). The stems themselves seem unnecessarily long as well but those will be the most appropriate place to hold to adjust fit as well as inserting/removing them from your ears. It seems like Marshall made these earbuds purely for the sake of making earbuds with Marshall branding. I very much like their bluetooth speakers with the retro look, analog controls, and killer sound, but I’m not sure these offer much more than other comparably priced earbuds.

Posted .Hello, thank you for your review and feedback regarding the Minor IV. While we agree that open-fit earbuds may have a similar form/shape and case as other brands, the signature sound, the internal components and Marshall design definitely set these apart from the others. The Minor IV use the Marshall Bluetooth app to provide the user the opportunity to set the touch controls and other features to their own preferences. Thanks for trying the earbuds and for your feedback.
