I'm using the Motion 30 in a 5.1 home theater with the Motion 40s and Motion FXs, and I'm pretty impressed with it. Writing about speakers is difficult, as feelings about them are very subjective, but this is overall the best center channel speaker I have had. I've had several center channel speakers in the past, and typically prefer a 3-way configuration, but this little speaker is great. I was very nervous coming from a MUCH larger center, but the dialogue clarity, definition, range, and horizontal dispersion of the relatively small Motion 30 has quelled those initial reservations. I've never owned speakers with any sort of ribbon transducer, but they live up to the open, airy hype that I've always heard about. On top of the great sound (which is impressive from bottom to top), the Motion 30's physical attributes were welcomed by my fiance, who has always put up with my speaker choices, but this time embraced them. If you'd like to read a much more professional and eloquently-written review of this speaker, I'd highly recommend the one on Home Theater Magazine's website (I found pretty much everything in that review to be accurate).

This center channel has a big sound for a relatively small speaker. This speaker has high WAF (wife acceptance factor). Get one!

I couldn't be happier with what I've ended up with ... last year at this time I had a 5.1 upstairs and a 5.1 downstairs in the exercise room ... now I have a 3.1 upstairs and a 2.1 downstairs and things have never sounded better (quality over quantity :-). Along with an older sub, the LX16s sound great and are just what we need downstairs (not exactly "critical listening" time while exercising).

I’ve lusted after Martin Logan speakers for years now. Best Buy made my dreams come true and I was able to get the front soundstage of my theater completed with the Motion series of speakers. The highs are bright, mids are clear, bass is right, and voices are clear. Can’t find a better speaker at this price point. Can’t beat Martin Logan!

I did extensive research before arriving at this center speaker. I found it to be the best at this price level. I would put Martin Logan speakers at the top for sound as it pertains to treble and midrange sound quality.

They sound awesome. With the special mounting bracket you can angle them to the direction you want in your living room. Definitely worth the investment.

We found that we couldn't have all the speakers for our home theater in ceiling and this center speaker along with others completed our home theater very nicely.

I wanted to upgrade my center channel since my original speaker was over ten year's old. I read several reviews and must say the sound was perfect for the dialog portion of of the blu ray movies I'm watching. I've been a fan of the Martin Logan brand for awhile. This is my 1st purchase of Martin Logan which I actually bought two center speakers since my receiver can run two separate center channel's.

Matches perfectly with the Martin Logan Motion 40 tower speakers and has the same outstanding quality and sound. Because of its height (almost 7 inches) we couldn't place it under our TV but still sounds great above the TV on a tall cabinet to the right. The dark cherry finish gives it a very expensive look and blends perfectly with our wood cabinets!

Beautiful center channel. Make sure that you have room for it in your set up as it can't be mounted to the wall. The case is fairly delicate so handle with care.

I've had Bose surround in my living room for a lot of years. I felt it was time for a serious upgrade. Went to Magnolia in Albany and did serious comparison of all the best speakers there. For the price, i felt the Martin Logan Motion series speakers were a no brainer. I not only got the Motion 30 for my center channel, but have the Motion 40 for my mains as well as AFX (surrounds) and Motion 8 for rear center. The sound is incredible for theater and music. I have a small recording studio in my house and I wanted to make sure the speakers did both well. I'm extremely happy!

I replaced my Motion 4 with the Motion 8 and difference is incredible. It is a very well rounded speaker. Most impressive are the vocals and upper range bass reproduction. I have owned, Polk Audio, Definitive, and the Motion 4 in the past and this center by far is Superior.

Excellent Center channel with my Martin Logan Ascent I's. Needs a powerful Quality Amplification.

I bought this center channel to pair with my MartinLogan Motion 40s and Motion 20s. System sounds amazing. Friends are impressed and I am super happy. My wife appreciates the look of the Martin Logan speakers compared to most as well

If you are looking for Wow in your home theater system then these are the speakers for you. The sound rivals the best theaters have to offer. I have mated them with 2 ElectroMotion ESL 8 floor speakers, 4 Motion 4s, and a Dynamo 700W sub to complete the 7.1 system all driven by a Marantz 1540w, awesome!

Easy to use, good price and service. Simple to setup.

We decided to upgrade our 2 definitive audio front speakers to a 5 speaker surround sound set up. When looking at the definitive audio front speaker to match the speakers that we currently have, I didn't feel as if it was comparable to the towers. The sales associate there had us listen to the Martin Logan center speaker and it blew the definitive speaker out of the water. The crispness of speech has no comparison in my opinion. The speaker still looks nice next to the definitive towers as well.
