Not a keeper
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t understand the high ratings this dishwasher received. We had it delivered and installed professionally. Before even sending through a load of dishes I noticed the racks seemed lightweight and wobbly. When the door was opened, I needed to try to push it lower to get it to lay flat, but when I did the stainless steel tub liner flexed by the hinges. So, it might be stainless steel, but it’s not thick or insulating to keep heat in to help dry items. The first time I washed a load of dishes using auto cycle, sani-rinse and short dry. I figured the piping-hot water rinse would aid in drying and to save energy with a shorter dry cycle. I let it sit overnight and unloaded it in the morning. Items were still wet as well as the door. The next time, I used auto wash and long dry. It was even worse. Some items were not clean and there was food debris in the bottom corner. And, yes, it is installed level. Items were wet on all three racks as well as the tub. I knew right away I wanted to exchange it for something else if it did a worse job than my previous beloved 15 year-old KitchenAid. Unfortunately, the new KitchenAid dishwashers are made by the same manufacturer now and the inside design looks the same despite costing a few hundred more. I’m just not one to repeat the same mistake twice. Others seem to report unsatisfactory drying performance too. We can’t all be wrong.

Chipper blade broke after month and half
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The chopper blade broke after about a month and a half of gentle use with well-rinsed items. Purchased 6/30/20; delivered 10/5/20 and installed by plumber. The chopper is part of the drain and spinning plastic fan so the loose blade blocked the fan from spinning, which prevented the water from draining. This must be a common defect because the warranty repair person arrived with a new boxed drain part in his hand. I am so disappointed because I spent a lot of money on this purchase and on installation, and hoped it would work problem-free for a few years at least. I chose a DW w/a chopper blade as a backup to rinsing, not in place of it. In addition to emptying and cleaning the easily accessed filter, many other DW brand manuals for high-pressure filtration DWs recommend unscrewing the bottom to clean interior filters on a regular basis and I think that is unrealistic for most people including me.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do Not Buy - steam from dishwasher caused damage to the control panal. Dishwasher lasted only 1 year and half. Best buy did not care and not willing to offer any compensation for 900 dollar dishwasher. Very frustrated

DO NOT BUY! Recall will leak in a few days
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nightmare product. Three different units all of them same failure. It will either stop in the middle of the cycle showing error code (lower tray full of water) and eventually it will leak and flood your kitchen floor. Master Pro installers are not knowledgeable (1st one was installed out of alignment see photo). Second one had a bump out of the box. Third one they stripped noise insulator from lower panel (the fools!) while unwrapping it. Do not let them do that in the street. Ask them to do it in front of you inside your house or you risk dents and other issues. Won’t ever buy Maytag/Whirlpool/Frigidaire or Kitchenaid (they are the same crappy design inside. Plastic chassis. The three units end up flooding the kitchen within days of install. Save your money and buy an European brand (and this one was made in America!)

Good Product, but Terrible Installation
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dishwasher works good. The installation service provided by Best Buy and a company called XPO was horrible. Think carefully about having anything installed from Best Buy.

Do not recommend.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine has had constant issues from the moment it was installed. The pump was broken on arrival so it errored out and did not work requiring 3 service calls to fix before even being able to use it. Control panel started pealing off within 3 uses. Front of machine bubbled and pealed leaving rust patches. Currently sitting unusable because another part broke and they won't cover it under the warranty even though it is under warranty and I can't order the part because it apparently is no longer made as the machine is 1.5 yrs old and "out dated". I either got a lemon they will not fix or they are terribly built machines.

Dishwasher owned for 2 years, multiple issues
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dishwasher a little over two years ago. I have quite a few issues with this dishwasher. The top sticker piece that shows where the buttons are located and the button labels has somehow melted the glue and now the sticker is bubbled up. The middle rack feels very weak and I can see a visible bending happen when I load coffee mugs on that shelf. The dishwasher last night started to beep and the lcd screen started to have issues where I could not see any numbers for a few minutes. Then after 5 minutes all of the buttons started to cycle through the settings. I turned off the dishwasher overnight at the breaker. the next morning it looked fine. but after trying to run a load the dishwasher is displaying a F6E1 error cord. I have had the F6E1 error code show up three other times in the past two years, but this time I cannot seem to bypass the error at all. The one year warranty for most of the parts seems way to low for an orginal MSRP of $900 Dishwasher. The fact that a lot the customer support in these reviews is directed towards facebook/instagram is worry some.

Dissapointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the worst experience ever with Best Buy and I would caution anyone thinking of purchasing an appliance or anything else that cannot be carried out of store. The only reason for the one star is for the Store Manager Tim Favis, who at least tried to do something for me. First of all I was not given the opportunity to examine the dishwasher before they brought it into the house because the delivery man walked into my house uninvited. He immediately proceeded to remove my old dishwasher. His partner brought in the dishwasher and immediately placed it under the counter. they took off some plastic and finished the plumbing and started it up. I was instructed not to stop the dishwasher until the cycle was finished, about 3hrs. This was the night before Thanksgiving. When the cycle was finished it was after 8pm and the store was closed for the holiday. It was that night that I noticed the control panel was different than the one advertised. It did not have the Power Dry cycle which was the main thing I was interested in. They delivered a dishwasher which was not the model advertised on line, A less expensive model, then I was told they did not even have the model I ordered. I then tried to purchase another dishwasher in its place for exchange. They delivered one which was badly damaged. That was sent back and of course there was not another one in stock or so they said. I now have a dishwasher I did not want and it doesn't dry. When the cycle is done the inside is wet, damp and has to left open for it dry for several hours. It has been nothing but a lot of aggravation and stress for a senior to put up with. So Buyer Beware....

UTTERLY LOUSY INSTALLATION CAUSED MORE DAMAGE
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It broke within a year. It turns out, when it was installed, there was a HUGE dent in the back, which opened a seam in the back, which the repair person showed me. He said lots of lazy installers don't care that the product has been damaged in shipment, they just install the product to get the delivery over with. Well, for 9 months, a slow leak slipped through the seam, and shorted out the motor. I was lucky - it happened within a year, so the repair was covered by warranty. The service unit Best Buy contracts with has limited times, and I was without a dishwasher for 7 weeks. I can't trust Best Buy for appliance installation ever again.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My machines 3 months old. The electrical panel cover is coming off. Washes good, quiet, but to have to deal with a warranty 3 months in is not acceptable on a $900 dishwasher.

Maytag Fan of the Past
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After only two weeks of use, the dishwasher developed a leak caused by a faulty pump. Never got to use it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought it home, unpacked it, and packed it right back up and returned it! The box was wet when my husband was opening it and when we took the packaging off there was a puddle of water under it. I did order another one, but NOT from Best Buy because the two managers were definitely NOT for helping me/the customer with a defective product! It will be really difficult to even purchase anything else with Best Buy after that. Not that the mangers care they are losing customers.

Two defective dishwashers. We'll look elsewhere.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally time to replace our old GE dishwasher and we heard good things about Maytag. First one delivered did not turn on at all. Tested the outlet with my phone charger, worked fine, but dishwasher was not interested on receiving electricity. Delivery team had already uninstalled our old GE so we figured we would just try again with another Maytag. Second one leaked out of the box and within two loads completely filled the drip pan. At this point, we've been without a dishwasher for 2 weeks and while we're not above hand-washing dishes, this is a pretty ridiculous pattern of quality for a major appliance. Our old GE was clearly on its last legs, but at least it, you know, WORKED. We will be looking at other brands at this point.

Terrible Service
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Diswasher installed by Geek Squad june of 2023, failed july 2022. Called for a service based on my purchase of 5 year geek squad extened warranty for an Error Code E9 not draing, 5 days later, the geek squad sent a service person. They showed up thinking they were to install a new diswasher, and said we don't do repairs, next phone call I was told I had to go threw Maytag directly to examine the error code on July 21st,. at this point I am now out of a dishwasher for over a month. I sined up for an 18 month no interest payment, which will be due in August. I will not make any payments until this issue is resolved.

Defective Maytag Dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had high hopes for a great made in America product. Two months after its installation the drain pump failed. Failed on a brand new machine!! Ok, no problem, covered under warranty. Three weeks after the repairman confirmed the issue and ordered the replacement part, the part is still on backorder without an eta. Guess Maytag decided to put profits first and sent out dishwashers with defective parts. Now they can't keep up with the failures. COVID doesn't excuse sending out defective product. Now I have an upset wife and a higher water bill.

Disappointed in dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very disappointed in this dishwasher. Especially the third rack. It leaves coffee cups still dirty. and often doesn't clean the larger utensils put on that rack. The lower racks, they are better, but not by much. I have learned that if I want the dishes clean from the dishwasher, I have to scrub them before putting them in. Just rinsing doesn't do it. What good is a dishwasher if you have to wash the dishes before loading it? Also, I have never used the dry cycle, don't want that on my electric bill, and my last dishwasher I could just open the dishwasher, and pull out the top rack halfway to hold the door open, and in short order all dishes were air dry. This dishwasher, I do that and the dishes never dry, even if sparshly loaded. If I take things out and set them on the counter, within short order they are dry. But I shouldn't have to do that. I looked at lots of reviews before I picked this dishwasher, and don't understand how so many can like it. My last dishwasher cleaned soooo much better. Its problem was that it was always needing repaired, so I thought I would try a different brand. My opinion now is that I made a poor choice.

Not a good investment!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy!!! This thing has broken twice in a dangerous fashion, it leaks and the leak goes right into the electric housing due to the pvc pipes being too close to the heating element. This first time happened within 3 months and the second time at the 9 months mark after our purchase, maytag now owned by whirlpool has given us the reach around for the last 3 weeks stating the part will be shipping soon... I would stay away from this brand and this particularl model. Protect your investment and do yourself a favor, find something much better, please.

Defective product, leaks
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've owned this for less than 2 years, and it breaks every few months. It has leaked and flooded our kitchen several times, and despite multiple calls through warranty, plumbers, and appliance repair techs, no one can fix it. The regular cycle takes over 2 hours to clean and dry, and often leaves dishes still wet. Would not recommend this product at all. Total waste of money.

Worst appliance ever.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely worst appliance we have ever purchased. Bought it in August 2020. It quit Nov 7th. Whirlpool/Maytag is the worst possible company for service. After literally hours on the phone for several months we finally got rid of that & bought a GE. Will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool/Maytag appliance ever! The Whirlpool appliance repair would schedule an appt & cancel next day as ALL the parts were not it. A brand new top of the line appliance needed 10 major parts!!!! We are not hard on our appliances. It is just my husband and myself. It’s not like we had 3-4 loads a day. Maybe 1 load every other day.

Water Leaking around Door
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One Star review for now. Having it less than a month and it started leaking water from bottom of door. Cleaned great and all the functions worked. But what good is it if it leaks. Best Buy is sending me a new unit next week. So that's good and bad. I have to wait almost two weeks for replacement then the hassle of unhooking the old unit and installing the new one again. Seems like a discount should be applied to getting a lemon, and the trouble it causes. Proving once again they don't make appliances with good quality control anymore. Two years ago it was a new refrigerator that needed to be replaced after it wouldn't get cold after three days of running. It was also a Maytag. I will update later if the new unit runs properly for more than a month.
