We chose this Maytag Pet Pro washer, due to our 3 year old pandemic era Whirlpool falling apart. I really wanted to replace the failing machine with another one as I believed we just got a lemon, and we had purchased the 5 year extended warranty so, I knew when the tech told me that Best Buy said they could not repair it, I could get an exchange. Well, they no longer make my model of Whirlpool, so, the Best Buy agent had me look at this Maytag. It was more expensive, but she price matched for me, and I thought, well, its not a "smart" machine, but has nice features, and I could receive it quickly, within 2 days, so I decided to try it. She told me I could exchange it also within 14 days if I did not like it. I purchased the extended 5 year warranty just in case, and stayed excited about getting a MAYTAG. (I love their commercials) So, I liked the looks and the quality of the machine. My first load, I used the towel setting. It chose the right tremperature settings and the wash began. I was very pleased to see how well the agitator worked, and realized, I was not getting a quality cloths cleaning from my old machine. I was very pleased with the Maytag so far. Then, I kept waiting to hear the "done" signal, but did not hear one, and I went in my laundry room, to discover the washing had completed, but there was no "signal" of it completing. The description clearly states it has a signal for when the washing was done. I was shattered. I thought how can I do this without knowing when my wash was done. I decided I would just return it. THEN, when my cloths came from the dryer, I was amazed. They felt brand new, and actually clean, like I must have forgotten what actual clean cloths felt like. So I did 2 of my dogs throw blankets to try the PET PRO filter. I chose the BULKY ITEMS setting and pressed start. I set my timer on my Google nest to 60 minutes and went about my day. My google timer went off and I went to my washer and it was spinning so fast, with no excessive vibration, like my old washer did. I was very happy, when it finished 3 min later, so fyi, BULKY ITEM setting runs 68 min. The filter had collected our dogs hair and it was so easy to clean out. After these blankets dryed, I took them out and they were like brand new. I looked at my Maytag and decided right then, that even without a signal for washing complete, I LOVE this machine. No it is not a smart machine connecting to WIFI, but it is a wonderful washer and does an amazing job. It has all the temperatures needed, it has all the different wash settings needed. I am keeping this washer. I will come back to give an update in 90 days, but as it stands right now, I am so glad I got this Maytag. I have never owned a Maytag, but have done laundry for 50 years and honestly, cannot remember being so impressed with a washer as I am with this one. Also, my dryer works so much better, as the washer really spins all the water out of the cloths so my drying time is much less. If you are looking to buy a washer, you wont regret buying this Maytag Pet Pro.

Overall this is a nice washing machine. Understand it uses less water, but would be nice to be able to add more water easily. The detergent dispenser could be upgraded. The pet filter is very easy to use.

We love this washer. So far about a dozen loads washed. It’s great finding a washer with an agitator. Easy to use and looks great. Also love the see through lid.

Worst washer I’ve ever had. Lint from previous loads washes back into the tub and gets deposited on clothes and on the side of the tub. I have to scrub the tub of gritty, linty deposits after each load—still doesn’t prevent the mess between the tub and drum from washing back in. And the clothes go into the washer in a very clean state. No children or gardeners in this family. The filter is nothing special and collects less fur than the simple silicone filter in my Samsung front loader. Photos: Compare the scum on the tub with the tiny bit of debris collected by the filter. Note: The tub had been scrubbed completely clean before this load of synthetic, non-linty garments and 3 high-quality cotton shirts. Simply unacceptable performance. This machine is poorly designed. Would return it if I could.

As a pet owner, I have to say I'm very impressed with the filtration system of this washing machine. I've had front load washing machines for years, and always had to wipe the inside lip of the rubber seal, and I never felt like I was truly getting all of the accumulated fur. The central agitator in the Maytag Pet Pro washing machine, makes it incredibly easy to capture all of your pets fur in one concentrated spot, the unit is fairly quiet, and the only thing I miss about my previous washing machine was the digital display to tell me how many minutes I had left on the cycle. A small price to pay for a top brand that even repairman will say they receive the fewest service calls on. (Yes, I had to ask when my 2-yeae old Samsung broke) Which is another reason why I wanted I Maytag/Whirlpool.

I love this thing. It fit perfectly and has a smaller profile than my previous washer, but it manages to be bigger and less heavy so getting it set up was a breeze. The pet filter is much different than I expected it to be, but in a good way. It's very easy to clean out after using it. That's super convenient because one of my two dogs sheds like crazy so our clothes are covered in fur. It works like a charm, is quiet, and cleans our clothes efficiently. I've never owned a Maytag before, now I see what the big deal is. Our only concern was worrying about the drain hose length, but we tied it down and that sucker doesn't move at all.

We got the PetPro series bc we have many pets and im a massage therapist. I use the same washer/dryer for everything. I'm so impressed seeing the amount of pet hair removed. I like the top load. This machine has no frills. I miss the option to create "my cycle " and the digital read out of time remaining in the cycle. But, it cleans very well, is quiet and extracts a lot of hair.

Good so far. Great capacity, I like the soap dispenser location and appreciate the button to run water to prespot or rinse soap from the dispenser front. The pet pro feature seems to work well to minimize pet hair from my laundry. I like the black surface for a change from the standard white.

Had the washer for a week and a half now and so far, it is working great. The Petro system works as advertised. The central agitator gathers up the pet fur that was on the clothes and keeps it from getting into the pipes (we have 4 cats and a dog). The amount of space within the washer is great for washing large loads. In my old washer what was two loads, is now a single load. My wife and I also enjoy having the waterspout feature so we can pre-rinse or just wash out some stains.

The install team hooked the water up backwards and had the cold water turned off so the first week of wash was all HOT WATER. We fixed it however BB will be sending their install team back out to see if everything is working properly. Product is nice. The Pet Pro feature is great! Does not have a numeric timer to see how much long your wash will take.

This washer is huge. It can do all of our laundry in about 2 loads, even our king sized comforter! I love the clear top, and so far I have no complaints. It isn't loud and has settings that cover all of my needs.

No regrets here! I replaced a working Kenmore Elite because it did nothing to remove the car hair. Now I have pet hair filtered out with every load. My clothes are really clean and far more free of fur than they were with the last machine. A happy consumer and pet owner!
