I have purchased McAfee security products over the years for different reasons from anti-virus only type products to full security suite setups. I was pleased to find the newest McAfee Premium Individual license product that was great for all the various operating systems I regularly use such as Android, IOS 16 Beta, and Windows 11. I was happy that they offered usual applications for all of my devices so I loaded it on my main laptop and then added the apps to my two latest new Smartphone products that were released in the past few months. I was drawn to the advertising on the box and website information that you could use the product on multiple devices that you own and I really needed to have access to another great VPN program. I had read good reviews in the past on the VPN service for McAfee so I wanted to add it as another option since I have a few different ones I use currently due to all of the data breaches that have occurred over last decade plus, so I get alerts all the time of my personal info being found on the dark web. McAfee offers a service to help remove your data that is being sold online by many data brokers. I noticed that initially I had over 40 cases that had my personal data which was being sold by various data brokers I noticed they offer you the information on how to do the process on your own but they were quick to point out that you would need to recheck the info again after a few months since the data brokers are always adding more info on people they find in databases etc. So suddenly a task that seemed time consuming but workable was looking like a total waste of time. The good news is that they offer a premium add on service where they will perform all the work for you. They offer a trial period and then an annual renewal that I found to be too expensive for the product. McAfee also offers a PC Optimizer which cleans up and helps your computer run smoothly but they charge a current discount add on fee of $19.99 which is a reasonable price if you need the extra help. A good strategy that McAfee has added to the program is rating you with a current protection score and then gives you tips and activities to do which will make your protection score rise while educating you on ways to continue to protect yourself. My favorite feature is the unlimited VPN feature due to the fact that I have been hacked plenty of times and received notices like many others that national companies have leaked all of the special personal information including your social security number, state Driver’s license number, date-of-birth, address, phone number and email address plus password! It has been a frustrating journey to find software to help protect me but with the new McAfee Premium Individual program I feel less stressed and am so happy I chose to make another purchase from the brand!

The installation is easy, download the program use the key and the program scanned my computer right away. Once installed and scanned the dashboard is simple and clear and each tab shows detailed description on what it can do. On one tab it gives you a protection score and it also gives you instructions on how to fix it as well as on how to improve it in the future. I also like that you can do a personal data cleanup on line. The antivirus scan takes between 5 and 15 minutes and it can scan all drives as well as the ones you choose. The Secure VPN is a perfect plus since when I work at a restaurant, café or any other place I want to stay secure and this does that. Also ID protection and tracker remover are other ways to stay secured and protected. Just keep in mind that McAfee gives you the tools and you have to do the work on some of these tools. I like that you can purchase individual or family protection and best of all it works on all my devices. Overall it is working in the background nicely without any problems and I feel better having the added protection.

This is basically the same product as the advanced version without the insurance and identity coverage. I think if I was coming into protecting my cyber for the first time, I'd do the Advanced then after a year or two of locking down my info, I'd downgrade to the premium. There are a few things that make this product really stand out against the others: - Identity Monitoring on the dark web - UNLIMITED Secure VPN - Interactive Personal Data Cleanup I had a pretty good experience with the Premium level of this product. Again, all of the protections are the same as Advanced for much less as long as you feel confident enough to not have the protection of McAfee's identity restoration and 1 million dollars of coverage! If you buy this product and really like the McAfee way of doing things, you can upgrade from your control panel. Installation was fairly easy and straightforward. It is an internet install so be prepared for a wait. Scanning of my drives was fairly fast and was done before I noticed. I scanned both my SSD system drives and a 16TB drive. The wait was about 10 minutes for a quick scan. The two killer features for me are the drop dead easy to use UNLIMITED VPN and continuous dark web identity monitoring. Those alone generally cost the same as the entire package. So I really think this is a great value, especially since you can install this on all your devices. It comes with unlimited devices privilege! Rad! It's really confusing that the Premium and Advanced products have the same functionality with the only difference being the identity coverage. I think that the product step below--called Total Protection--could easily thought to be the top tier of this product line. I think that they should revamp the naming so that it's clear what tier you are buying. This truly is a comprehensive security package. I recommend it!

The McAfee Plus Premium is a reasonably priced all-in-one, all you can eat package that may sound like just another subscription; understandably so since that’s exactly what it is. What’s different here is the value divided by month is very reasonable if you look closer than “oh, antivirus bloat” and consider what all is included. Even if you just use the VPN, it’s a decent deal at $13/month and while fairly basic, has good speeds and isn’t a sketchy leased server farm from somewhere. I use it on my Chromebook, Mac, Windows, Android and iOS and so far, the VPN has been solid. Going back to the value prop I mentioned above, having all of these devices to share a ~$/13 month data buffet subscription, it’s a pretty strong plus. Notice I haven’t even mentioned anti-virus, privacy features, identity monitoring, etc. Point being the value that’s included with the Premium Unlimited is pretty compelling if you are in the market for an all-in-one service. Regarding the antivirus protection. The MacOS installation and activation is fine, but the additional steps you need to take are likely to lose most people who aren’t tech literate. This isn’t necessarily McAfee’s fault, rather it is the reality of a modern OS. It isn’t too intrusive after you set it up and put it into service. This is a welcome change vs the hostile nags of years ago (not McAfee specifically, just AV in general). You set it and [mostly] forget it and doesn’t use excessive resources. I assume if I encountered a nasty virus, it would work, so it’s hard to provide a solid rating yet. McAfee is well-ranked vs. other options in independent tests. I'm normally not an antivirus guy since (I think) I’m careful online, but it’s nice to know it is doing its thing in the background across multiple platforms and devices. The identity protection is a nice perk, although I’m not certain how much value it would have when things hit the fan, but a proactive approach seems to be its strongest value proposition. In all, having a total package working across different operating systems for the asking price is worth it both on paper and in practice. I would recommend it, even if you only use the VPN on iOS, Android, Chromebook, etc.

So far so good!! Only had this security installed for a few days so giving a 5 star review right away would be being dishonest but id def give mcafee plus premium security a 4 star rating with a possible 5 if their security continues to impress. The options and depth of security you recieve from this security package is mindblowing. Vpn service, email database breach checks and where to go to safeguard your info with direct links to sites that have sold your information and what to do to opt out of sites that sell your information. Constant checks for your info being stolen on the dark web and internet in general. All this on top of your normal daily safeguards while you surf the net! So far this security by mcafee has not slowed down my chromebook whatsoever as well. i dont even know its running in the background protecting my information and security.....so far id definitely recommend this protection. Also this package provides security for unlimited devices for a year.

When I first installed this software I wasn’t impressed because the dashboard seemed to be very simplistic. However, once I opened the My Protection tab I realized how powerful and configurable this program and all its features really are. The unlimited devices really eliminates the concerns of which devices to protect so you can use the same protection on your devices. Most importantly I have had the software installed on both my Gaming Laptop and Gaming Desktop and so far I haven’t noticed any impact on either one. I installed the software via the Apple store on my Ipad and although it lacks the antivirus controls it does a good job protecting you when you web browse. This version does not include parental controls, you need the family version to get that. Overall I am very happy with McAfee and its capabilities and I think it’s a great choice for protecting your devices and identity. This software on a windows device gives you control over the Antivirus scans and scheduling. The Firewall is configurable and provides all the control I need. Based upon these two items and McAfee’s history I am very confident that my files and PC are safe. Also included in the software is Secure VPN with no limit which is nice. My last software wanted to charge extra for an unlimited VPN access. The Security History gives you detailed information on network connections that were blocked and this really gives you good insight to your pc and netork’s security. Where this software goes beyond any other antivirus software I have used is showing where my Identity has been breached. I entered in several of my current and past email addresses and got a long list of when the addresses were breached, the web site where they were breached and the possible information that was exposed. What’s really cool is that the software will even text you if it finds a new breach so that you can hopefully change passwords etc before its too late. There are two features in the software that I didn’t find very helpful but others may. The first one is the Security score which I didn’t find very helpful. It is more of an indication of what features you have enabled vs how safe you actually are. Secondly the software includes a Personal Data Cleanup page which compiles a list of all the sites where your name, address, phone number etc are listed for access either free of for a charge. I had my info listed on 225 sites most if not all were those pay to locate someone sites. Because you have to log into each site individually and ask to be removed it becomes too much a hassle to clean up. Secondly they tell you that you should do this regularly because the sites update their databases constantly so what they delete today could get added back tomorrow.

In 2022… and probably beyond the need for device security seems to continue to evolve. McAfee enhanced identity monitoring is what interested me in the first place. Once you install the product which takes a few minutes you can literally hit the ground running and execute a scan of your emails and see what information of yours is being sold on the internet. You’ll need to go to the sites individually and request that your information be removed or report it stolen but it’s effective in searching the internet for your information using your email. The ultimate effective benefit you’ll gain for McAfee Premium is that it is good for multiple device protection. I, alone have four PCs, and numerous iOS devices so this is going to be super helpful. The VPN was a little tricky to learn to use since I’m so accustomed to my company’s VPN. However, if you are needing enhanced security you’re certainly going to get it. Finally, it’s been a weird few years with stories about how many companies are compromised by hackers gathering customer information. It’s been on my mind and so McAfee came through this year by giving me that peace of mind I needed. I hope that they continue to build and enhance the protection line as fraud and protection tools evolve!

McAfee Premium Individual offers protection for unlimited devices for one price. This offering includes a secure VPN, browser security through extensions, ID protection, Firewall, Password Manager, and Personal Data Cleanup. Setup and installation were fast and straightforward through an installer that took 15 minutes from start to finish setup. After signing up for a login and getting through the dreaded auto-renewal of AV software, everything is ready to roll. Be warned; although the presentation of the credit card auto-renewal makes it seem like you are missing out, I will say you don't get a benefit. Personal Data Cleanup is a web-based site showing data breaches where your data has been leaked. Remedies are basically to change your password and keep an eye on things. I did a test by entering my user name to search the database and it says it has not been breached! Complete lie as I have been part of many data breaches with online sites. Username and password are almost ALWAYS leaked in a breach, so this is entirely false and makes me second guess the "Identity Protection" results and search. You are taken somewhere to get your "Protection Score" after providing your details to look up. There is a comprehensive plan for you to go through all the offerings in a page to up your score. For this easy purchase, you can get a decent snapshot of your online data presence and the breaches you were part of. Directions are provided for how to remediate each site, or you can pay for a service that does it for you. There is a VPN built-in as well, which is an added plus for watching blacked-out sports games online. The data services show you what needs to be done and coach you along the road to remediation, but of course, it will take time and patience to do it yourself. No worries, though; there is a service for that! What I do like is I don't see tons of upsells via pop-ups for services to "unlock" unlike others out there on the market. This one lets you do your thing until you click something you want more information on. A more subtle approach than what I am used to. Obsolete features galore! What exactly are you going to get in after the update? Many things are being removed with no insight into what you will get instead. This is McAfee Total Protection in the middle of a rebrand to McAfee Premium, and there isn't much premium to have. Things are still included that were supposed to be gone by 9/2022. If they removed everything, there would be few things inside the program aside from AV software. There are a plethora of things you think you will have now, but will be gone. This is unfinished and needs to go through more polishing and cleanup. It still needs to be prepared for primetime, but it does its main job of virus protection. Things like Web Boost, Secure Apps, App Boost, My Home Network are obsolete, and say "feature will be soon removed to make room for new types of protections while not saying what you will get instead. In short, what you see now will not be the same once McAfee decides to actually update the software to it's final build. There are lots of parts here that looked stuck in the early 2000s with network map style graphics from the fing network scanner app I used once upon a time. In summary, this is an AV software that is being refreshed and is not ready for primetime. As a customer, it doesn't tell us what we are actually getting when things go away. There is no buildup on new features to replace what they are taking. We are in November 2022, and things were supposed to be cleared out by September 2022. To me, missed self-imposed deadlines isn't inspiring confidence in a company I want to trust with my computer's security. It runs well and is lightweight on resources, but it just isn't for me and not for you.

best of the best top of the line antivirus protection you can buy.... no other antivirus company can beat Mcafee you get so much for this price i feel so protected and safe now that im using Mcafee Premium Protection buy it you will be happy you did..

This program is easy to install and use. Im able to use this program with multiple devices and all of them stay secure with McAfee.

McAfee was easy to purchase on Best Buy as a digital copy. I got it the same day. It was easy to install if you follow the instructions on the email. I'm glad it wasn't a complicated process. I got a full year of subscription as mentioned. I had a few days left on my old service and it just added it to time. My Mcafee is running smoothly. I didn't even have to reinstall as It updates it, and it continues the services for all the PC already hooked up. The price was good for Black Friday. I can't complain.

I been using this antivirus and is really good. I’ve tried with others and this is my favorite, you can use it with all the devices you have.

I bought this one to replace Kaspersky which was no longer available to renew. I especially like this sine it is for unlimited devices.

I just wanted the VPN since its a great deal. The antivirus is a plus.

It was quick and simple to download the antivirus to my home computer and two laptops.

I purchased the item for protection for my laptop and cellphone. So far I haven't had a problem with it's use.

The product works as advertised and protects my devices including windows and macs. The secure VPN comes very handy to offer extra layer of protection.
