ergonomic and looks neat
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I been using the Microsoft Natural 4000 at work average 40+ hours per week since 2015, now I work from home, I ordered this one due to the size fit my home office desk better. After two months work from home, I found I like this one better. - the gap between the whole rows of "function keys" (ESC, F1 - F12) and the "typing keys" eliminated. I use the "function keys" a lot - added "special keys" : (lock computer - very useful when I leave my computer for a moment and one key to lock my computer for security protection), (emoji), (snipping - just one key to clip and share), (Office key - quick access to MS Office apps) - one piece palm rest and feels like fabric more than polyurethane. - full size keyboard buy with smaller footprint than the MS Natural Ergo 4000 - keys require about 50 g of force to activate, don't make much sound and spring back quickly. It does missing the special key for email, lighted function lock key and the "delete" key right above the "backspace" key (so close that sometimes I accidently touch it) I hope the quality of the painted letters on this new key board will last longer, because certain keys of my MS Natural Ergo 4000 lose their printed letters from finger strikes (A, S, D, E, F, C, V, P, L, M, N, <, >, +, Enter keys)

New take on an old classic keyboard from MS
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This seems to be Microsoft's replacement for the old MS 4000 keyboard that they had for years. So far I like it. There are couple quirky things on key placement that are different that I need to adapt to but nothing super bad. It is a bit more sleek, lower profile for being full-sized and ergonomic. It does not have the typical kick-stands on the bottom that allow you to slightly raise the back of the keyboard but so far that has not been unpleasant. The keys are not janky or feel cheap when you type which is also good. It feels smooth typing along and not overly loud. The only downside? it's sold by Microsoft.

Great Keyboard, NOT MECHANICAL
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard itself is excellent. However, I was looking to upgrade to a mechanical keyboard from the previous model of this keyboard. THIS KEYBOARD IS NOT MECHANICAL. I add this because when I purchased it (1/11/2022) and when I'm leaving this review (5/6/2022) the product title still lists it as mechanical.

Great except for moved function keys
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 finally conked out, and I needed a replacement. This one is pretty good and feels about as comfortable as the other one. My only complaint is, I touch type and my keyboard is hidden beneath my desk on its tray most of the time. So, because the row of F keys are now directly on top of the numbers, it's harder for me to tell which one is the backspace key. I used to be able to tell which one it was because it was the last key on the upper right. This is no longer the case. To remedy this issue, I put some folded tape on the backspace key so I can tell which key it is just by touch, and it's mostly working out for me. As for the number pad, I also used to be able to tell which one was the minus key just by touch, but again, there's another row above it. It is nice to have a backspace key by the number pad, though. However, they also changed the location of the calculator button, which I use a lot and is now above and between the F11 and F12 keys. I also put some folded tape on this key so I could tell which one it is by touch, but it's quite a bit farther from the number pad than it was on the 4000. Which is, eh, annoying. But overall, this is a pretty good replacement for the 4000, which I can no longer find anywhere.

Better than a mechanical keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The moment I rested my hands on the keys, I automatically noticed the comfort of this design. Even though I have only typed for about 10 minutes, I would rather use this Microsoft Keyboard for work over my mechanical keyboard. I really like the emote key, task view key and office key that are available since I use those options often. This keyboards offers a lot more shortcut keys not found on your typical keyboard but I only wanted to mention three options I commonly use at work. For work, where you spend 8+ hours of typing, I would definitely recommend this keyboard. For gaming, stick to a mechanical keyboard. The only type of people who shouldn’t buy this Microsoft keyboard are the ones who type with their index fingers.

Ergonomic Keyboard 2 Thumbs ups
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard design has definitely worked better for me than a standard keyboard. My hands and wrists are able to relax, not get still or sore. I also like the ease of the numerical key pad.

Ergonomic Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just what I needed. My previous Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard was worn out and needed replacement. Just wish this new one had the little risers in the back so it could stand up better instead of laying flat.+

My Favorite Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third keyboard this style. I replaced a fancier model with this one after it lost function of several keys. This works out just fine. It comes with a horizonal piece that elevates the front side of the keyboard, which is counter to what hands need, which is to elevate the back side which puts hands in a more comfortable and natural angle and NOT pointing downward from front to back. I have discarded what came with the keyboard and have a temporary lift on the back side with foam until I can order some fold down feet for the backside which were built into both previous keyboards. Otherwise this is a very comfortable configuration that allows hands to not have to line up perfectly on the horizontal plane that cause stress to wrists. Photos show (L) the original piece at the front side and (R) second photo with my temporary fix.

Decent, but the letters wear off.
|Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent keyboard. It’s comfortable for all day use and the wrist rest is nice. I’ve had it for a little over 6 months and the letters are starting to wear off. I kind of expected better.

Will do for now
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hesitated for months before finally purchasing this keyboard. I've used every MS ergonomic keyboard ever made, dating back to the white ones with the blue wrist pad. The 4000 model was discontinued and my extra one finally gave out after 7 years of excellent performance. This updated version seems to be comparable. It's a bit smaller, the media shortcut keys are more compact, and a couple of them were removed. The zoom button was removed from the center...I don't like that. One huge dislike is the removal of the 'feet' that raised the top of the keyboard, as it sits way too low for my liking. A quick search and order on Amazon corrected that issue but I should not have to go that route. I'll give it 3 stars because of the changes, but overall it is serving its purpose. No other keyboard can stand up to the previous version.

I like the included piece to further raise the keyboard so that your wrists are at the recommended position. The emoji key has also made it fun lol (~ ̄▽ ̄)~
