The wireless feature is also well-received for its convenience, especially when working with spreadsheets. However, some users have concerns about the mouse's durability and responsiveness, as well as the keyboard's learning curve and battery life.

Loved it when I first got it. Keyboard is great. The mouse however stops responding to normal pressure and have to click multiple times or very hard to select something. Happened right after the 1 year warranty expired. Junk.

Keyboard Stops Typine Once Per Day

I'm really dissapointed in the performance of this keyboard. From an ergonomic perspective I like it, but at least 2 times per day the keyboard will not let me type on it for about a minute. I'm not sure whether something is happening with the bluetooth connection. I tried changing the batteries, but that didn't help. This is very frustrating given that I do a lot of typing for my job.

Stopped working within 6 mo; Best Buy not helpful

I love the keyboard, the mouse is way too big for my small hand but with a thick wrist and arm support pad I've made it work. I would have given it 4 star as a result except over the last few months, after just 6 months of use, I started having issues with both keyboard and mouse. Keyboard keys get stuck and do this kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. And with the mouse, the click buttons have largely stopped working, sometimes they still work after you click 4-5 times. I contacted best buy and they said it was still under warranty, but no option to return/ exchange by mail, I have to drive 1 hour to the nearest Best Buy store to have them evaluate it and do the exchange. They offered instead to connect me with Microsoft, so after an hour of back and forth with Best Buy I'm out of luck and about to call Microsoft. Super frustrating customer service.

This keyboard worked great for 14 months until the keyboard portion stopped working. Replaced batteries, and then kept having to put them in and take them out every 5 minutes to get it to work. The mouse and number pad work just fine still. I type (writer) for a living so yes I use it a lot, but I've never spilled anything on it, dropped it, etc. Just decided to stop working. They need to stop making garbage and charging $130 for it. I'll go back to buying cheap throwdown keyboards.

I'd cautiously recommend this to a friend. I've owned Microsoft keyboards at various times over the last 16yrs+ and have always found that the quality is ok, but not great. After heavy use for the last 6mo+ the keys feel a little "loose" and make a "springy" sound that you won't feel right out of the box. Honestly not sure if this thing would last me more than 3yrs. Perhaps that's good enough, but this is not a cheap keyboard either, so bear that in mind. On a positive note, the natural curvature of the keyboard makes it flawless to type on day-in-and-day-out (if, of course, you can get over the loosey-goosey feeling on various keys after daily use for months on end). It does take some getting used to to type on a keyboard like this, but as someone who has previously struggled with his wrists I think that it's worth the effort to learn how to "type properly."

The set worked perfectly for a few months and then the left button on the mouse keeps missing clicks to the point that it becomes nearly 50% chance on whether your click will register or not. Turns out it's a bit of a known issue with this set. Every once in a while you'll need to remove the cover on the mouse and give it a good clean to get it back to normal. Otherwise, no complaints. The ergo keyboard takes a bit of getting used to but once you do then it's super nice to use!

    Broken dongle

I really like the shape/ size/ comfort of the keyboard. Not a fan of the mouse. It has been 2.5 months and the dongle has malfunctioned. The dongle sticks out pretty far which I think makes it prone to getting damaged when you pack up your laptop. If this breaks, it cannot be replaced and then you have to junk everything- disappointing.

Great keyboard, but USB dongle can't be replaced

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

For a year I really loved this keyboard. It had great click action, the mouse was wonderful, and the extra number pad was perfect when you were doing lots of numbers. But then I lost the USB dongle. I had thought "I'll just have to buy a replacement dongle", but it turns out Microsoft doesn't offer anything like that. Their advice is just buy a new keyboard combo. And there's just something about losing a $5 dongle leading me to throw away otherwise perfect electronics that breaks my heart. I loved this keyboard and mouse. But I can't realistically expect that I'll never lose the dongle again (especially for this awkward dongle that's too big to leave plugged in). So I won't be buying this again.

2 years later and the batteries won't stay in the back of the keyboard, causing the connection to come and go and now die completely (and, yes, I tried duct tape).

It was great until it stopped working. It is a nice keyboard and I liked the ergonomic but I only had for 9 months when it just randomly stopped working. It said 3 years manufacturing limited warranty but the manufacturer was unable to do anything and Best Buy didn't cover anything so I was out a lot of money for it to only work less than a year. Very disappointed.

Excellent keyboard, except the usb transponder is terrible and flimsy, always tend to break if it's connected to the laptop. And there is no replacement for it. mine already broke. So had to buy a another keyboard altogether. Old one is still sitting at home. Such a waste. Otherwise best looking coolest ergonomic keyboard in the market.

When I bought this I thought it would be indispensible, but I wound up using the integrated keyboard much more. Nice to have; a little hard to keep up with the connector. Not very portable. Ergonomics are good. Can't recommend because I don't use it, but the unit works fine.

I always tended to shy away from wireless mouse and computer equipment because I didn't want to have to worry about changing out batteries or loosing power while I'm working with a customer, nevertheless I decided to give it a try. It worked great for a couple of months until the keyboard all of a sudden quit on me. Did I research and troubleshoot up to and including changing the batteries, you bet. I only wish I had of purchased extended warranty. I'm not sure what I will do with it now that I had to go back to a wired mouse and keyboard. Buyer beware!

I want to love this so bad. its SO comfortable and ergonomically so great! The bummer is it only lasts about 1 year with regular use. To spend the amount of money they are asking for this, you'd need to double that to get Geek Squad replacement and be prepared to have an annual run to BB to get your new one. I mean hey, that's not a bad idea, but doesn't bode well for a good review on Value and quality.

It disconnects from the computer without reason. The number pad needs to attached to the keyboard like your older models. The separate number pad gets pushed around too much, and it not being at the same elevated height as the keyboard is very frustrating. I wish my old Microsoft keyboard did not finally quit on me after 10 plus years.

Typing just letters on this keyboard was quite comfortable, but some of the other commonly used keys are in awkward position forcing me to relearn their positions. I didn't like it but I tried to deal with it. The deal breaker for me was the connection issues for my set up. I was getting interference causing the keyboard to randomly miss key presses. So before I got too used to the odd layout, I ended up returning it and getting a standard wired keyboard with nice clicky mecha keys.
