On first open of the box I was intrigued. I've been using this for almost a month and the keyboard is what I expected. I've used the older Microsoft Ergo keyboard for years and loved it. The resting pad is soft and luscious but wears very quick. Some make a case for the FN keys being worthless but I don't use the media keys like most so it doesn't bother me. The mouse is something to be completely desired. It is fat, bulky and heavy so I don't find myself using it how it should because it doesn't feel right. The ergo side of this is great but thumb positioning is wacky for me. I would give it higher stars but the

I'm not that impressed with this keyboard The mouse was far too bulbous and uncomfortable. The separate number pad is just... always in the way. I like the ergonomics of this keyboard, but the keys look like the letters are just decals applied to the keys, and in my experience, the decal-type keys rub off quickly. My fear is the keys I use the most as a gamer (WASD) will wear off. The letters have no texture indentation, just decals. The mouse? Again, feels like a baseball in my hand. I turned it off and replaced it with my old 2-button/1-wheel wired mouse. This keyboard would rate one star higher if it were a wired keyboard. I'm not sure how long the batteries will work and my fear is I will be in the middle of a battle in one of the games I play and have the keyboard die on me. I'm not a fan. (You are now thinking "Why did you buy a wireless keyboard? ... The display keyboard LOOKED like it was wired, but in retrospect, that must have been the anti-theft cable. I thought this WAS a wired keyboard and bought it without double-checking.) I WILL add that the package did not come with any instructions other than a very sparse illustration that meant nothing to me - if you are not a computer geek, you may not understand how to setup this system to work with your PC. There's no on/off button for the keyboard and the separate number pad. The plus for this? It's ergonomic and comfortable The minus? It's wireless, has good feeling keys, but they are the decal-type keys that WILL rub off in the future. The separate number pad is a pain to use, and the mouse is garbage. It is uncomfortable to use and clunky in the hand.

Good keyboard that meets most needs

I have had and used this keyboard for about a month now in my job as a computer engineer. I really like it and find it a definite improvement over the wireless bluetooth Mac keyboard I used previously. While not a perfect fit for the Mac, it is a close enough analogue that this is now my "daily driver" and I really appreciate how "easier" on the wrists it is. I was able to remap most of the relevant keys using the Mac keyboard utility without the need for third party software. The learning curve was not too steep, however, the placement of the angle of the "r" key means I often miss this letter do to the way that I position my hands on the keyboard. This is a loss of one star for this angle issue and the fact that it lacks native Mac compatibility. This keyboard is definitely designed for the class touch typist and the "hunt and peck" kind will not find it very useable. Again, the learning curve is not large, the health benefits are significant, so take the time to let this keyboard help you learn to type properly and you will never regret it. Battery life has been good. The mouse is only a right handed mouse (and "I have news for you--I am not right handed!), so it has been of limited use for me. The wireless number pad has not been used or evaluated by me. One strong word of caution. Each dongle is paired specifically with the keyboard permanently (according to Microsoft), so if you lose it or wish to have one for travel--that is NOT AN OPTION. This may be a deal breaker for some--it almost was for me. This is the loss of the second star. Overall, this is an excellent keyboard the drops to average for a Mac user because of design issues. It is a 4 star keyboard for the PC users. I would buy it again. I think it is a good purchase.

    Ergonomically great-Microsoft Nightmare

The Microsoft Sculpt does the trick for my physical needs. Currently have an ongoing tendinitis issue. With that said, one day it just stopped working. After all of the troubleshooting, I ended up bringing the unit back to Best Buy who helped determine it was the dongle. Great, I bought this in October of 2016, let's just exchange it. Can't do that. Must contact Microsoft to have product reviewed for warranty work. After, I'm not kidding, getting transferred to 7 different people, I was given to a "special group" that could "maybe" help me out. After standing on my hands, tap dancing, turning left and coughing I was able to convince them that they needed to honor the warranty. Several pictures, emails and days of awaiting email responses, I was given the okay to send the product back at my expense and they would ship me out a new one. I did my part and am awaiting the new product. In the mean time the tendinitis is getting worse and surgery is now on my calendar. Product works great if you NEVER EVER have a problem with it and have to work with Microsoft. I am still flummoxed as to why, after such a short time frame, I could not just exchange it at Best Buy. Don't they have people to package up faulty product to send back to Microsoft?

I spent the extra money expecting top of the line quality. I use this keyboard on three different computers. It seems to work fine on one computer but not so much with the other two. I will go to Geek Squad to see if they can help me out. The size is just what I want.

Great keyboard and mouse, terrible number pad

I admit that I didn't do much research before my purchase. I wanted an egro keyboard to replace my mechanical keyboard becuase the unnatural positioning of my hands when using a regular keyboard was starting to cause issues with my wrists. I've used mechanical keyboards in the past, and have loved them. This keyboard is no execption. It feels great. I even love the front stand and the downward typing angle. It makes so much sense that anything else now feels very unnatural. The keys a very responsive. Not as responsive as my mechanical keyboard, but nothing that I can't get used to. They feel very solid and easy to type on. The mouse is equally solid. I read a review (after purchase) which said it felt like holding a grapefruit, and that is a good description. It feels very natrual and positions your wrist very well. Once I get more used to this mouse, I will love it. The major issue that I have with this set is the number pad. I work with a lot of numbers and am constantly using the number pad. I loved the idea of the detached number pad because I can position it on my desk however I want. I still love the idea, its the execution on this product that is the problem. As much love and thought that were put into the keyboard and the mouse, absoutly no thought was put into the number pad. There is nothing too it except a flat plastic rectangle with some buttons on it. It is on a completely different plane than the keyboard. It is not comfortable or natural to use. Rather than being able to simply move my hand over to the pad, I have to think about where the pad is and how to position my hand to use it. This is even though the pad is right next to my keyboard where the number pad usually is. A very slight incline in the pad woudl have made all the diffrence. I keep my Casio MS-80B on my desk at all times and it is a joy to use. The Microsoft number pad is almost the exact same size and is a total challenge. It does not feel substantial, it feels like it will move when it is used, and it does not feel like it will hold up. Do I recommend this keyboard, yes. Will i be keeping it, yes. Will I get used to the number pad, also yes. However, with a few minor tweaks, this could have been a much better product overall. Before you by, I recommend checking it out to make sure that you are comfortable with the number pad as it exists. If not, you may want to consider a different option.

Helps with joint pain, but doesn't hold up well

I've had this keyboard and mouse set for not quite 4 years. It has helped tremendously with the pain in my wrists. I am at the computer all day for work, so something ergonomic is necessary. The rubber on the mouse has not held up to long term use at all. I had to remove the rubber on the left side of the mouse about two years ago because it started to deteriorate. I recently had to cut off some of the rubber on the right side because the back button became stuck, causing the mouse to stop working. The plastic wrist wrest on the keyboard doesn't hold up well either. It's very tired looking after a few years of use as well. Overall I really like the keyboard and mouse, and feel it has helped a lot. I can't find anything else on the market that has better reviews, so even though they show their age, I'll continue to use them until they completely die on me.

I tried this keyboard due to the fact that the keypad was separate. However, I found the keyboard awkward to use. Due to the split design, your fingers do not automatically sit on the same keys as with a normal keyboard. I did not care to go through a relearning process to ensure I hit the correct keys, so I returned the product.

These combo is amazing, I started using this during CoViD cause i work the help desk and the pain in my wrist almost instantly disappeared. HOWEVER, I've had to buy 2 of these cause if the mouse. The left clicker loses sensitivity. It registers like 80% of your clicks. Its gotten to the point to where i think i submit a service ticket and i move on the next ticket onky to go back and my ticket is stilling there even though i clicked submit. Both of my mouses started to do the samething. I would recommend definitely buying the insurance. I didn't....

Great keyboard mouse combo, works great, I wish it had a power switch for packing/traveling, tends to run batteries down when packed. Had to replace the first set I bought as the USB receiver came apart and as they are paired with the keyboard you have to get all new set.

I'm on my third keyboard now. Two other people in my office have this keyboard and are on their second one. After a year or so Keys may start to malfunction. Doesn't respond or double clicks when you press it. When My first one broke I returned it for free replacement. When it broke again I just went out and bought another one. I'm going to stay with this keyboard because it has such a great feel and is ergonomically comfortable for extended typing.

Takes some getting used to, but excellent value

I've used Microsoft natural keyboards at work for nearly 20 years. The updates they've made take some getting used to--the keys are flatter with less space for crumbs to fall in, which means you don't have to press nearly as hard to get the key to function; the mouse is very round, which is a bit awkward in my smaller hand; and the power switch on the mouse works for the mouse and keyboard. But once you get used to everything, it's nice not to have the hanging wires, and the typing is definitely quieter. Only giving three stars because occasionally the keyboard keys will stick and cause havoc. Still, for a combo keyboard and mouse, it's a pretty good price.

I was immediately impressed with quality and feel of this product. Everything felt solid and the controls were firm. Unfortunately, I had to return the kit because I could not get used to the keyboard setup. I gave myself two weeks to break it in but my fingers kept wanting to go back to the location because of too many years of typing with a traditional keyboard. I wish that I caught on because I can feel how comfortable the ergonomic keyboard felt when I rested my hands on it. Again, my fingers kept missing the right keys but I am sure that was from me and not the product itself. I gave it three stars because I couldn't get used to it. It would surely be five stars if I caught on.
