    Nothing is perfect

I couldn't choose between this one and the new Surface Ergonomic Keyboard, but my desktop doesn't have bluetooth so I ended up getting this one. However, nothing is perfect. But I've read a lot of reviews on this one before buying it so I accept every imperfection of it. There are a few things I don't like about it: 1. No on and off button. If you don't take out your batteries the keyboard will continue working even though your desktop is off. The mouse has a power button, but I decided to keep using my old mouse because I feel more comfortable using it. 2. No caps lock indicator. 3. Palm rest. This is the major reason that kept me from buying this keyboard but I decided to live with it since I didn't pay full price. The palm rest is extremely easy to get worn out. Two days after using this keyboard its palm rest has already started losing color, and my hands are not sweaty at all. I've heard that the fabric on the palm rest will come off too after a long period of time, but whatever. 4. Many people complaint about the dongle. I only use this keyboard at home and I am not taking it anywhere so the dongle is connected all the time. Therefore, I am not worried about losing it at all. The good things: Very comfortable to type on. I totally forgot how to type when I just started using it but I got used to it a few days later. I've tried many mechanical keyboards, and I would say once you get used to this keyboard, you will forget about the mechanical keyboards. Key travel is good, and the feedback is also nice. It is also very quiet except for the space bar. I even use this keyboard for gaming, and it works for me. I could have bought a mechanical keyboard if I focus on gaming, but I type a lot so I chose this one. Overall, it is a good buy for the discounted price. I wouldn't buy it if it wasn't on sale just because of the dislikes I mentioned.

    Relief for my hands!

As someone who types and 10-keys A LOT for their job, I needed an ergonomic set up after developing pain in my fingers and wrists. After using this set up for two days, I'm very pleased with the results. Yes, it does take some getting used to the different key sizes, but I find myself still able to type quickly and with no pain. The 10-key pad will take a little getting used to as the numbers are spaced out more than they would be on a standard keyboard. It's just a little more stretch than normal but the fact that I can move it around helps my wrist not get strained. The mouse feels great but it is LARGE and definitely not a travel type. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for relief. My job is accounts payable data entry for reference.

Bought this version because I love the regular corded one. There is one usb dongle that connects every piece so you don't have to plug in something for every part, very convenient. I read the other reviews about the wrist rest wearing prematurely. It is a different material and it doesn't seem as sturdy than what's used on the corded version, I've had that one for about eight years without an issue so we'll see how this wears. The mouse feels amazing but if you're ambidextrous like me, you'll have another mouse for the left hand as well. I'm still adapting to this smaller version, the keys are flatter so typing is different and having a detached 10 key takes some getting used to. Overall I like that I can quickly tuck this little baby into my work bag and be on the go. 4 stars just because I haven't had it long.

    Solid Product, Effortless Typing Experience

The only reason I gave the four stars instead of 5 is due to the Function keys being a bit unforgiving and smaller than on most keyboards. The backspace and enter on the keypad are the same way. As far as typing goes this keyboard has increased my efficiency. I work on my computer 8 hours a day five days a week and my wrist fatigue has decreased dramatically. The mouse is very comfortable. All in all it looks very sleek and many people who see it comment on the way it looks. I would recommend this to anyone who does a lot of typing. Be careful to not break the usb because you can’t just replace it without repurchasing the whole set. I don’t have an issue with this due to it never moving but some may if the travel a lot.

This is a great, disposable keyboard. Great, because it really does what it claims re saving your wrists and allowing you to type for hours without damaging yourself. (It takes less than a day to get moderately comfortable switching from a traditional keyboard; about 2 weeks to forget altogether that you're using something different.) It's become so important to me that I buy one whenever I'm visiting somewhere more than a couple of weeks. Disposable because I've owned at least 6 in the last 8 years (i.e., six at home, not counting the ones I left in countries around the world after visits). What happens? One or both of two things. The lesser is, the battery runs out on the numeric keypad and--despite that it appears replaceable--I've never successfully replaced one. I don't really even use the keypad anymore; I just keep it around for the very rare number-crunching session and ignore it once it stops working. Second, and more seriously, at some point, the wireless connection to the keyboard starts to flake. The first few times it happens, it's the signal that keyboard batteries need replacing. However, at some point, replacing the batteries no longer stops the behavior: it keeps skipping keypresses and generally making productivity impossible. Time to buy a new one.... I'm serious about this being a good solution for the right situation. There are better ergonomic keyboards, but they cost hundreds more, most aren't wireless, and they tend to be infinitely customizable, which sounds great but in practice means endless fiddling with settings. If you're already injured, one of them may be a better choice unless the Sculpt happens to match exactly the way you need to hold your wrists and hands. But if you're doing this to prevent trouble (as I am), the Sculpt works great out of the box and just keeps working--until it doesn't. Buying a new one every 18 months works better for me than a fancy-dancy keyboard that I can't carry with me and that takes an hour to reset-up every time you move it. Your mileage may vary.

LOVE this mouse and kb combo. I deducted 1 star because I'm on my 3rd set. They don't last more than a couple of years. I like them so much though that I keep buying them. The mouse is GREAT for relieving hand cramping during long use. You also need to know how to type properly. Hunt and peck wouldn't work that well with this keyboard.

They Keyboard is awesome if you are looking for an ergonomic keyboard that's affordable. I use it for work all the time. Super comfortable on the wrists and forearms. The mouse needs to be upgraded. The shape of it does not naturally fit your hand so well.

Overall good. bought only because the size of the main keyboard was about the same width of my Logitec Mini keyboard which is not ergonomic. I have a very limited space on my desk on which to place a keyboard and am used to using the numbers on the keyboard vice a numberpad, so that's not an issue for me. Mouse is a little weird, think I'll stick to my logitec bluetooth mouse. Which brings me to another point about the keyboard... I bought this for 2 reasons: 1) it was ergonomic and fit the space I had for it; and 2) the listing specifics said it was bluetooth capable... This keyboard is NOT bluetooth enabled. it requires the use of a dongle taking up a very valuable space on my usb hub. I either need to sacrifice a spot on the hub or get a bigger hub to use it.

If you're looking for a windows ergonomic keyboard, this model should be seriously considered. The downside, however, is the keypad which is not attached to the keyboard. The pros: 1) The keyboard is quieter than its sibiling and less expensive ergo keyboard. This is especially helpful when needing to type while on the phone. 2) Wireless keyboard and mouse connect seamlessly with my Dell laptop. 3) Ease of setup - the computer immediately recognized by the keyboard, keypad and the mouse. Cons 1) The angle of the keyboard takes some adjustment if you've been using the wired MSFT ergo keyboard 2) The keypad is not affixed to the keyboard. 3) The mouse is serviceable but isn't nearly as comfortable and functional as the logitech MX master wireless.

Overall uses too much shiny plastic but is solidly built and is half the price of a comparable keyboard/mouse set from the "L" brand. Keyboard: the function keys are a different size from the other keys and have a different feel when pressed. This is annoying but I can live with it for the price. Despite the split keyboard design, there is no flex when typing. Comes with a magnetically attached stand to give a negative angle if desired. The keys on the right are in a non-standard layout. Keypad/numpad: I actually like this being separate a lot. When I have the space, I prefer putting this to the right of the mouse. It's got an independent power source but doesn't go to sleep in the way that some Bluetooth numpads do. Mouse: a lot of shiny plastic which makes it slippery. The clicking noise is a bit bassy and loud. Where the side buttons would go on most mice there is a back button which requires too much force for where it's placed. The Windows key on top of the mouse is not terribly useful. The actual shape is somewhere in between a vertical mouse and a standard mouse, while it's bigger than a laptop mouse and smaller than a desktop mouse. Generally a weird size/shape but tolerable.

I switched to ergometric keyboards to battle carpal tunnel syndrome resulting from long hours on the keyboards a long time ago. My favorite up to now was the MS 4000. However, this is by far the best keyboard I have ever used. It has a solid feel to it. It's keystroke is awesome. MS uses the same ergometric form from its earlier keyboards which is great for people who have to type for long hours. The mouse is great too. Both work well with Win 10 and Win 7. This has to be one of the best wireless mouse and keyboard combinations I have ever seen. The only thing that I would like different is to add on/off switch to the number key pad just to ensure that you are not draining the battery when not in use.

I started getting wrist pains from poor typing posture so I bought this and I love it. The mouse feels strange and I'm still trying to hold it properly after a month. You come in more from the side instead of above. Keyboard is great, I use it with the raiser. I heard the 4000 raised higher but this is good for me. Keypad is plain and simple. Out of the way when I don't use it. That being said, it won't fix poor posture. I can still have wrist pains if I'm resting my wrists on the bottom of the keyboard and moving the mouse from the wrist instead of elbow. Worth the money!

Good price for a high quality keyboard. Being able to separate number pad really makes my wrist motions less dramatic to reach the mouse. Only two complaints are: the left-click on the mouse gets lodged sometimes; and the soft wrist rest which is otherwise really nice does stain easily e.g. from oil from skin.

    Needs Double Shot Keys.

We replaced a MS "Natural Ergonomic" keyboard 4000 version 1.0 with this "Sculpt Ergonomic" keyboard. The four stars is for the same reason we had to replace the model 4000...the keys are not double shot, and many keys are "blank" on the old keyboard. How well the printed keys on the Sculpt last...don't know. This can be purchased with or without the mouse. My wife really likes the domed shaped mouse as it places your wrist at the natural angle verses flat above her Logitech mouse. It is a three button mouse and that's all she uses so it's good to go for her. The Logitech wireless mouse works just fine with the MS mouse by the way. So no issues with more than one mouse. Well, at least the two we use. Set up was kind of weird as I expected a quick start guide. The USB receiver is well hidden inside the mouse, and worse, the bottom doesn't look like it comes off. But it does and inside you'll find the USB receiver. Plug that into a USB port, and it all fired-up right away. The keypad uses lithium, not AAA, battery and same as the keyboard, make sure to pull the insulator strip out. Mine were JUST able to be seen poking out. In use, my wife enjoys the key feel on the keyboard. The replaced model felt mushy but worked OK. The feel is just so much more quality feeling on the Sculpt. She touch types and did say it is angled differently so some in-use time is needed to fully make the switch. The front riser is magnetic and I'd rather have it STAY attached like the 4000 model but so far it seems to stay put once you set it down. Just don't expect it to stay on the keyboard if you lift it by the riser. The keyboard finds the floor when the two parts pop apart. The separate number pad is nice as it gets stuff off the keyboard shelf on her desk. The numbers are still across the top of the keyboard, but with the right most number pad stripped off it is kind of nice when you are working with a bunch of numbers. The price is kind of high for no double shot keys, but Best Buy price matched the MS sale price helping the value proposition some. This is why I use Best Buy as it is a real store and they support their pricing well. If it had double shot keys, so we'd know we won't see letters disappear, it would be five stars for an ergo design keyboard. That would make the $100.00 price easy to accept. Quality and value are 4 of 5 as the life of the product may fall short with printed keys. This opinion is based on why we are replacing it the first place, the MS Natural suffered this fate long before it was really worn out.

It's a very comfortable keyboard and mouse set. Very minor annoyance is that keystroke registration seems to be less than perfect for the keyboard. At least mine will occasionally miss a space or something here or there but it's infrequent and doesn't really bother me very much. The wrist rest on the keyboard could also be better considering their 'sculpt comfort' line has a better one for about $30 less. I would say that set is probably the superior value, especially when it comes to the keyboard. That being said, the ergo mouse in this set is really great and if you have right wrist problems is definitely helpful. Takes a little getting used to but not bad.

With the news that MS is discontinuing their PC accessories, I wanted to look into their keyboards and mice before it was too late. This is a great keyboard, and I love the shape and feel. The mouse takes a lot of getting used to, and I'm not quite sure if it's better for my hands than the trackpad I used previously, but it's decent, and I really like the keyboard.
