    Piece of garbage (literally)

Transceiver failed after less than a month of use and Microsoft does not stand behind their warranty - they actually told me that Best Buy had to service the warranty (which is not true). So jow, a month old mouse is going in the garbage. Microsoft makes poor hardware and will not support it. Do yourself a favor and stay away- You'd be better off with a generic no-name mouse.

I wanted wireless mouse but . . . it was jumpy, and it lagged. I put my old cable mouse back on the desktop. Sorry, this one is stuffed in drawer below, do not really like at all.

I was in bit of hurry when I picked this up from customer pick up line. After I came home, I realized that seal was broken and there were visible scuff marks on the bottom which led to believe that is either used and returned item or from demo display. It was too long of trip to return it so I ended up sanitizing throughly before testing it out. It works but left click has notable creak. Couldn't believe Best Buy sold used good as new.

Got it, tried it, and then DVR didn't see it. Got this to replace a mouse that broke but worked fine with the DVR til then. Returned the mouse and got a Best Buy brand Insigna mouse for half of the cost that works good.

    Major issues

I have a Microsoft 4500 wireless mouse at home, so I thought this one would be great although a slightly different model. This mouse may be faulty, although I found other people online with the same issues. The nano receiver in the mouse wouldn't connect to my computer. Therefor, the mouse wouldn't track properly; sometimes moving too fast, and other times too slow. Additionally, the buttons would just stop working. If I turned it off and back on, it would work for a short time and then start to act weird after a little while. I wouldn't recommend this model to anyone. In fact, I am going to return it myself.

Mouse works well, my problem is that i have to remove the battery cover each time to reach to the Bluetooth adaptor. This adaptor can also be difficult to remove without removing the battery first. Too much hassle.

When I plugged it in, it worked just fine about a couple weeks. But now it didn't work at all. It's only $20 so it's not the end of the world...I just wish it would've lasted longer.

Mouse came without the battery door on the bottom. It also is a bit jumpy and imprecise. Unfortunately, I waited too long to take it back and am now stuck with it. No like!

You get what you pay for

This is a lousy mouse. For some reason, it freezes up unexpectedly and bounces the pointer all over the page. It's frustrating to constantly re-do my hand movement to get the cursor where I exactly want it (especially when I'm trying to x-out those annoying pop-up ads that are so ubiquitous nowadays). I admit to perhaps having a heavy hand when using this mouse, but that should not affect the function of the it. I grabbed the least expensive model in the Best Buy store's assortment, and that was a mistake. The old adage in my title says it all: you get what you pay for.

This device is not functioning after 1 year normal use. Good news is Mfg warranty from Microsoft was used for a newer model as device was discontinued. The scroll wheel does not roll smoothly and sticks. Do not buy this one.

OK mouse but transmitter storage is inconvenient

Works great, but I have another Microsoft mouse where the transmitter storage is easily inserted and released directly from the underside of the mouse. I thought this was the same and was angry to find that I had to remove the battery cover and battery to get the dang thing out. I have to remove the transmitter each time I put my laptop in the bag to keep it from hanging up. I gave this mouse away. If you never move your computer this will work for you but I go mobile several times per day. why Microsoft changed the mouse design I have no idea.

Bought this mouse and boy can I tell you, represents Microsoft real well. All I needed was a wireless mouse that worked. The mouse was completely faulty, if the plug in was on the opposite side of where the mouse was it was jumpy and didn't function properly. Buy something else because the fact it couldn't connect in less than 2ft distance is ridiculous. It's not like I was on the other side of the room!
