||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a controller :) that's designed to work with all generations of Xbox one. Meaning Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X as well as PC provided you have the adaptor or Bluetooth support built in. The Bluetooth works on any device that has Bluetooth built in. Laptop, tablet, phone and pc. The D Pad has been redesignedd better for multi directional use (fighting games) instead of traditional up/down/left/right usage. Kinda shaped like a plate with edges. The actual size of the controller is a fraction smaller. Good for kids or if you have small hands. The bumpers/triggers and back of it are textured for a better grip instead of it being smooth. Bumpers are a matte black instead of glossy. Helps with long play sessions and sweaty hands. Has a built in 3.5mm headphone jack so you can plug in any headset and use them for game audio and chat, provided your headset has a mic. Also has a updated type C connector for charging and syncing instead of the outdated Micro USB so you can use more modern chargers. The battery pack is replaceable so you can buy a rechargeable battery pack or use rechargable AA batteries to save money and help the environment. Now the reason for the title of my review. There is a known issue as of writing this review. The issue is that the newer models of the controller have issues with random disconnects, buttons registering being pressed and so on. Microsoft knows about this and is working on a software fix for this. No known ETA as to when this will be fixed. My unit has no issues except for the A button not registering if I push it to fast. I'm sure this will be fixed in a near future software update. You can test button functions within the Xbox accessories app on the system to see if any buttons are having issues registering. This issue is worse in another unit that I purchased back in November. That unit has random disconnects with the system but says it's connected still. If your controller doesn't work right either take it back for a exchange WITHIN the standard 15 day policy or within the 2 year extended warranty (sold separately). If you're going to buy the newer models just use caution and be prepared for possible issues. Otherwise the controllers are great in design, they work as intended and build quality is always solid with Microsofts 1st party products. I'd recommend buying the GSP (warranty). It covers you for 2 years, covers normal wear and tear and accidentally breaking it. So instead of paying another $60+ on a new controller, just take it to a local best buy and they'll swap it out for another one of the same unit or comparable or worst case scenario store credit. I've had all my controllers through best buy because of this warranty. Works great for hardcore gamers who go through 1 controller a year. I highly recommend it.

If you need a controller, make it this one.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality. I dont have an xbox but I use it with my computer. The D-pad is sturdy, I had seen a review by linus where he said it was flimsy but it seems tactile and well constructed. The triggers have texture along the back so they feel better in your hand. The controller back itself has the same texture. The bumpers are more rounded and easier to press without feeling less clicky. The joystick rubber has some dot texture on it as well which helps you keep them pointing forward for a longer period. Overall this controller is a great investment and I like it a lot more then my xbox one controller. Some connectivity issues but I suspect they are on my computers end and the controller is not at fault.

New Xbox Gold Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I needed a new controller, just happened to be the new gold version. Matte gold at the top and black to the bottom. Sticks and D pad feel of good quality. Having difficulty with bluetooth connectivity on my PC but that’s likely an error on my end/the PC. Works great via USB-C so no complaints.

Works great but connectivity sucks
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller, the grips, the triggers everything, but there’s one error that’s got me wanting to take it back. The connectivity is terrible. Every game I’ve played tells me there’s no available controllers if I go idle for 6 seconds. (Base Xbox One btw) not sure about other people but this is really off putting. I’d recommend this to a friend but it’s in the middle since the connectivity is really rolling a pair of dice.

Cool looks, poor connectivity to PC as standalone
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Problems with connectivity to PC would recommend a Bluetooth adapter to make the connection stronger. But it is a cool looking controller.

Overall worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall design is gorgeous. Love the color shift, and the pattern on the grip is nice. Has excellent weight and feel compared to some of the off brands I’d gotten recently. My only issue is the little skipping heartbeat of lag it has at times as far as connectivity or responsiveness. It is not consistent but it is noticeable. I use it on Bluetooth connection to my PC. Not enough of a problem so far to be a real concern.

Does What It Needs To And Very Well
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The original X controller was having issues staying connected to my Xbox so I bought this one. I also had a difficult time reading the X,Y,B and A as they blended in with the black background and I am a newbie to XBox gaming. This one is awesome, lighter in weight so easier to hold, bright colored lettering and it connected immediately and stays so. So far I've had no issues at all. I really like it.

Xbox controller very good value
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Controllers works great after one year of use. One thing, I recommend going in and updating the firmware once every so often cuz otherwise the controller will randomly disconnect while playing. I did not see that solution advertised anywhere by Xbox or Microsoft. I ended up finding the solution on Reddit. But besides that small issue, I've been having a blast with it.

Wireless controller misalignment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a controller it does its job and works properly it controls lol, but once one of its sides gets unlocked or off alignment it’s very difficult to get it back to the right position in which it should function smoothly I notice this is always with the wireless controllers the connection gets very laggy when it’s never laggy up until the misalignment happens

Great controller for PC
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller works great with PC. However, out of the box the Bluetooth feature does not play well with Steam. In order to get it to work, there are a few steps you’ll have to do. 1. Download the Xbox Accessory App on the Microsoft store. 2. Connect the controller with a USB-C cable 3. Update the controller 4. Pair with windows Bluetooth devices 5. Start steam and it should recognize it as Xbox Series X/One controller. 5(a). If you paired it before doing these steps (like me). Follow steps 1-3, then go to “Bluetooth devices” remove the device and repair it. Then it should work with no issue. Build: The controller itself is very sturdy and has nice textured grips on the back as well as the triggers. Size is pretty similar to previous Xbox controllers. Battery: I can’t really comment on battery life since I just got it but I would imagine many of you will have some form of rechargeable battery. Wireless: I haven’t had any issues since pairing it nor experience any types of interference with my other wireless peripherals. The range seems good, I’m roughly 15ft away from my TV/desktop. Overall, it’s a much better controller then my ps4 controller. It plays well with Windows 10 as one would hope and once setup with Steam the buttons are automatically mapped.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this for a few hours, and so far it has been great. With the batteries provided, this controller was used for a total of about 3 hours and still has a little bit of battery life left. Though I would like the battery life to be 5 hours + this is an amazing controller to buy. It disconnected me about 3 times while playing, but it was easy to reconnect after the game.

Solid Evolution of a Go-To Controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very solid evolution of the previous go-to controller for console and PC gaming. Pairs more quickly with consoles and PCs than previous models. Works on Xbox Series X, Xbox One / X, and PC Not a revolutionary re-design, but moves forward all of the core features I want in a controller. D-Pad (Directional Pad) is an improvement over the previous implementation in functionality, though it is more loudly "clicky" than the previous D-Pad. I have had a sporadic issue with the controller disconnecting from PC, and I am hoping this is corrected with a firmware update.

Not as good as last gen controller.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game on pc and this controller is not as good as the last gen controller. the first one i bought had connectivity issues and would often times act like a mouse and glitch off and on between mouse mode and controller. The new one I got works but in some games does not show up as an xbox controller it shows up as xinput device. this is mostly caused by software issues from microsoft. this controller does use less power though so batteries will last you weeks.

It just feels right.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feels great in the hands; I love the texture of it all. The d-pad and LB/RBs are nice and clicky. Just an overall great controller. I was thinking of taking a star off because I was having constant disconnections (like many others) so it made the controller unusable but I am now no longer having those issues.

Good controller for your windows pc
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller connects to my windows computer. After connecting it, it works well but does not always connect on the first try. I have noticed a small click when moving the left joystick but that is not a problem. The controller feels good in the hand, especially the vibration motors.
