Great value and build quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good... the factory components are all high quality with maybe the exception of the power supply and the CPU cooler. I added an EVGA CLC240 liquid cooler in an 'intake' configuration to the front of the case, then moved the two LED fans from the front to the top. The EVGA fans really aren't any quieter than the stock CPU fan, but the CPU runs 15-20C cooler under load. The power supply looks like a pain to change so I'm going to leave it alone. The included MSI keyboard and mouse are surprisingly nice. The case looks spectacular sitting on your desk - if that's your intention. Good depending on which one you received
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good computer if you get the right one. Me and my wife bought two. Mine was awesome my wife's went back cause of constantly having error messages. Same computers a few different parts. The one that's mine had the bendable antenna. Her's had a weird magnetic antenna. I think it has something to do with the configuration.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The desktop is power on, the fan and RGB light are working but the monitor ends up having no signal (saying DP NO SIGNAL on my screen), still not sure what happened with my desktop, would rather schedule a return. The desktop does look super cool.

DON'T buy this piece of junk
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do NOT buy this piece of junk if you care about your money! 10 minutes into it and I got the first BSoD. It kept doing that every hour (different stop codes) or so and all the while I was not running anything crazy. I haven't even started downloading and playing games on it. 2 days of troubleshooting (I work in IT) and could not get it fixed. Now, before I bought this piece of junk, I had read in the reviews about the BSoD problem. I thought they were flukes... Oh boy was I wrong! Returned it to WorstBuy yesterday, not buying MSI ever again.

I so wanted to LOVE this PC!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I decided to go for it and just buy something that I hoped would give me the PC for gaming, content creation, work, etc. This unit was on sale and I had seen mostly good things about MSI. The unit looked REALLY cool too. Anyway.. It arrived EARLY which was awesome. I finally got to unbox it and start setting it up. I took the dogs for a walk and came back to a black screen. hum.. ok.. no response from the system so I reset it and turned off all the power management. Stepped away a little while later and came back to another black screen. hum.. not great. After a while trying to download software over our internet which seemed way slower than normal, I got a BSOD error with a generic "critical process stopped" type error.. No error code. Ater a while on hold with MSI phone support, they suggested that it may be the SSD and an I/O error. I had an m.2 I could try so I did. Hey, it worked! So strike 1... bad SSD.. not a big deal I can replace that and was going to anyway, RMA to MSI and we are up and going.. or maybe not A day and a half later and I'm doing my 2nd windows reset to see if the networking issues are hardware or software based. I'm getting about 1/10th the internet speed on this computer as I am on any of my other systems running on the same (pc/mac/phone) network. Strike 2... Bottom line is that nearly any other consumer with this unit would be looking at having it go back to MSI at this point. I'm willing to give it another go to see if a clean install of windows will sort it out. I guess we'll see. If not, maybe it's time to throw in the towel and just go back to mac. Pros: astheticly very pleasing, FAST when it works, AWESOME graphics, nice KB and mouse Cons; Defective out of the box, after a new hard drive and clean windows it's still not running right. Phone support was "ok" but chat support has been fairly awful. Hope this helps somebody.. Cheers Rick

MSI Customer Service needs a complete overhaul
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start with the good: This PC looks awesome; MSI did a great job with the look. Secondly, Best Buy is a lifesaver! Now the real information: This PC was a lemon. The graphics card (deck) was crooked when we unboxed the PC. The middle fan did not run in unison with the other 4 fans (which were perfectly in unison). We figured, it'll be fine. By day 2 the PC kept freezing; normally 6-10 times per day. After about a week, the PC developed this odd shaking; where it would be in sleep mode and still "shake"; I've never seen anything like it. We updated the drivers and did a few other suggested things. This PC was for my son's 13th b-day and we did NOT want to return it. If you are shopping for gaming PCs, you understand how difficult it is to find the perfect one at a reasonable price. We spent the next 2.5 weeks dealing with MSI customer service. This was a nightmare. Getting to anyone that actually could help us was beyond awful. Once we were "helped", they had us do various updates and reboots, etc. We did this with their tech team multiple times over this period. They eventually kept blaming the games and suggested we contact the developers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! At this point, my son had only downloaded Rocket League. So we downloaded a couple other games, only to continually have the freezing issue. I could go into great detail on the troubleshooting efforts, but am keeping it minimal for this review; please know we tried everything. Key here is MSI support was beyond awful. I wouldn't touch an MSI PC again simply based on the horrible service. I would however commend Best Buy for their outstanding service. The team at Tulsa Hills was incredible. They showed kindness and apologized, sympathized and allowed a full refund on the return. THANK YOU Best Buy and team.

It’s a good value
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good value and the key board and mouse were higher quality than I expected but not anything special about them they do have leds and some with the pc the y sync together and you can pick what color you want to display. The performance of the pc is actually more than I expected it loads games super fast and and I usually get anywhere from 200 to 400 frames

Fan stopped working
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this PC about a month ago and runs games amazingly well! One thing that lead me to a 4 star review is that one of the fans randomly stopped working but I turned my pc on and off and it started working again. Almost overheated my pc though which I wasn’t happy about! Plays on Max settings for games like fortnite, GTA, Red Dead, and so many more games. Definitely recommend if upgrading from a entry level pc!

Multiple Problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First issue: the gaming keyboard that comes with the computer didn't work at all, on any computer I plugged it into. Second issue: When I first booted it up setup went fine. I went to install Windows updates and the computer went to blue screen with the error "a critical process failed". After lots of troubleshooting it turned out to be that the SSD had failed. After replacing it with a new one it boots up fine. I guess the mean fail time of ADATA SSD's is about 15 minutes. Third issue: the 500W power supply has barely enough power to run the system. While the GPU was pulling 90W I plugged in an external USB-powered HDD and an external Blu-Ray drive which caused the computer to crash. I've got the HDD and Blu-Ray plugged into a powered hub and it's running fine now. If you intend to use this computer for any serious applications or if you don't know much about computer troubleshooting and want something that works out of the box you may want to look elsewhere.

Buyer Beware!!! Just run and stretch your budget
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first prebuild ever purchased. For starters, the photos are deceiving. The CPU fan is not the one in the original photos; instead, you get a big metal block with a fan attached. I was bummed about that but didn't really mind since all I cared about was making sure the PC didn't overheat. The only problem was the CPU fan actually blocked the M.2 SSD, so did the GPU. So if you were planning to install an additional SSD via M.2, you would have to remove the GPU to access the lower M.2, but to access the one above the GPU, you would have to remove both the GPU and the big bulky fan. Mind you; I found it quite difficult to get the GPU out because the CPU fan is so bulky you can't get your hand to push the release latch. The RBG also stopped working when I installed an MSI 240ml liquid cooler. I could no longer control it from the mystic app on the pc. I did message MSI but they never got back to me. Everything was going great. The boot process is extremely fast; I would be on the loading screen within seconds. The main issue was that everything was going great until I began getting the blue screen of death. The PC would crash with the most minute tasks such as running google chrome, pdf expert, and Microsoft word. It would first start by saying, "Not responsive," then the screen would freeze, and then I would get the system error. I would reboot, and it would happen every time I started up the pc. The worse part is I would have the same issue when I would play video games or steam live. For some reason, when I did stream on Facebook Live, it automatically crashed the computer, but streaming on twitch via OBS was fine. All that to the side, I was really bummed that I was a brand new fresh-out-of-the-box PC for what I paid for it. To make matters worse, I called Best Buy to resolve the issue; I was informed I had to make an appointment with the Geek Squad, which I was ok with. I figure, "Ok awesome, let's get this fixed so we can continue gaming." I verified whether I would have to pay with the representative since the computer was still within its return policy and warranty since I just bought it a week prior; he said no, I don't have to worry about paying. Moving forward to the appointment, after explaining to the Geek what my issue was, he quoted I would need to pay $200-400, so they could run a simple diagnostics test so they could see what the issue was. I was fuming that I took time out of my day just to be told I couldn't be helped with the issue. The geek just said, "well, you are right here; just return it." I would have if I had wiped the PC and brought all the extra components that came with it. Not to mention I would have to wait another week to get the new PC and most were sold out by then. After wiping it, I returned it and got my money back. I actually debated purchasing another MSI, but then I read most of the reviews and how others were experiencing the same issue with the system crashing. After a much long debate and waiting for products to be in stock, I decided to invest the extra $200 and purchase a PC with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, which should arrive in 2 weeks.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great pc with good components but I don't think it was really worth the price of 1499 because the motherboard and power supply was literally trash.
