I’ve only had the laptop for a day so far but I’ve been able to spend a lot of time on it. I game on a desktop so I’m used to a high performance gaming machine. This laptop is phenomenal for the price. The steel series keyboard is amazing as expected. The laptop is lighter then I expected and the cooling is extremely efficient. The fan doesn’t get to loud and games run really well. I’ve played Skyrim, overwatch, apex legends and didn’t have issues with either. The SSD is fast. However the screen is 60 Htz not 120, that’s my only disappointment. Other then that if you can grab it on sale it’s an amazing buy!

PROS: - Great Keyboard - Great Build Quality - Great Components for the Price - Great IO CONS: - Gets kinda hot - 60hz refresh - Too many versions(1) - Speakers are garbage OVERVIEW: This laptop has been a dream for the price. The equivalent apple laptop would be an astronomical price. The screen looks great and runs great (more on this in a min). The keys on the keyboard feel really nice to type on, though a little more squishy than I like. It comes with some of MSI's software which really helped with tweaking the fans speeds (this laptop can get very hot). With that being said when the fans are going full speed it is kind of loud for a laptop but I usually have headphones in. The only problems I have with this laptop are that: (1) there are way too many version of this laptop if you look on the MSI website. Because of this consumers are getting mixed info on the actual specs of this laptop. MSI should work on a naming convention for models that makes it easier for consumers to differentiate between model tiers. (2) The speakers are really lacking. They aren't the worst speakers in the world but they really lack any punch or depth at all. I have a REALLY OLD MSI laptop that has a GT 130m (to give an idea of how old it is) that has a better speaker system in it. (Still runs btw.) and finally (3) The screen is locked to 60hz in Windows. I hear you "what do you mean 'in Windows'?". Well I booted into my linux distro and I was able to set the refresh rate of the monitor up to 100hz. So there is probably a way to do that in Windows but I'm not recommending it because I'm not sure how it would effect the screen over time. Overall this is a very well rounded laptop that handles my aggressive games, VR, Video Editing, Music Editing and anything else I throw at it.

Great laptop! Very modern and the specs were super awesome. It played games really well. The fan was a bit loud and it would get a bit hot. I had to return it because the software got corrupted and the system failed. Best Buy customer service in store was great and I was refunded.

The graphic card is one of the best and good memory best for gaming laptop for that price

I purchased this laptop as a interior design student especially for the price and given that it’s a very powerful computer. However after having it for two weeks I realized that this computer is not the best if you want to take it to and from school, as it’s extremely heavy and bulky. It’s overall design made me not want to be as productive. I had issues with the screen resolution, it seems to have a slit tint to it making the screen dull and not allowing for bright colors show through. This became and issue when rendering or editing. Honestly, this laptop would be best if you won’t be traveling with or need the ultimate screen display.

the style looks little bit bulky but the performance is pretty good. i love the keyboard, but the sound is pretty bad and i believe the speakers are below the laptop,

Great laptop runs great one downside I had to search for audio driver not installed as well as software not installed as well overall good laptop

Hands down worth the money! Have done so much already with it and I’m just starting! Next I’m going to steal the Declaration of Independence and using this laptop as a tool to do so! Thank you so much for the great product!
